Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ A Dozen Stories, and One Message ❯ Two Different People- Part 1 ( Chapter 2 )
Disclaimer: If I owned it, why in the world would I be on some useless computer, writing a disclaimer, when I could be suing other people for not having them…
Yes, I HAVE changed the series. Why? Cuz it's my fanfic and I really do want to. ^_^
He held his head, and collapsed on the couch. How could you be so stupid? he thought angrily to himself, as he stared up at the ceiling. How could you be so stupid, so dumb, so abysmal, so naïve, so- so- He tried to search for the right words.
Such a baka, he thought bitterly. There's something wrong with me. If I was anybody else, I could have already told her.
He remembered how her face looked when she marched away. He hated some memories.

(Earlier that day…)
"Um, Usagi, I need to tell you s-something," he said nervously.
She raised an eyebrow. This was really fascinating. "Sure. Let's talk."
He had sort of run into her at the park- well, not run into her, more like followed her there. It was one of the few times she wasn't with her friends.
"So? What did you want to say?" Frankly, she was surprised that he hadn't called her odango.
"Well, I wanted to say that I-I-"
"You?" She brought her face closer to his, and looked at him closely. Was he blushing? No way, it was just a trick of the sunlight or something.
"I-I-I really think that I-"
"You think that you?"
She looked up at him, with her large silvery-blue eyes, filled with curiosity and, for once, simple trust.
And he couldn't help it.
He couldn't help the way he felt about her.
He couldn't help that she didn't know.
He couldn't help that he was a coward when she looked at him that way.
And so what he did next was extremely stupid, but he simply couldn't help it.
"I really think that you look even more like an odango atama today!" he burst out.
Her face darkened, and her eyes widened in anger. "You are such a jerk! I actually let myself believe that for once you wouldn't act like such a baka, just because you called me by name and didn't tease me! How could I believe you! You will always be a baka!"
And she stomped angrily away, leaving Mamoru alone with nothing but his thoughts, and all the time in the world to think them.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
How in the world could he ruin his only chance with her? It wasn't that he had said anything PARTICULARLY bad, but it was just his horrible timing.
Suddenly, he had that feeling again. He mentally groaned. Not now, when he was still thinking about her!
It was too late. The real Mamoru Chiba was already slipping away, into a mask-donning young man in a tuxedo…

"Jichan!" cried Usagi. "You can't stop the story there! It's just getting good!"
"What do you mean, 'just getting'?" said her uncle indignantly. "It was all good! And anyway, all of you children have to go to bed."
There were protests, and complaints, but the several of the adults firmly took the hands of the younger ones, and herded the older ones, so that they went to the various guest rooms that had been prepared for their stay.
The oldest one of all the adults stood up as well, a little more gracefully than the small children. "I shall be going to sleep as well," she announced. "I am not quite as young as all you think."
One of her daughters laughed. "Oh, but you have aged wonderfully, Mother. You are still as regal and stately as Neo-queen Serenity and her King were at your age."
"Oh yes, and my great-grandmother was beautiful indeed, just as my great-grandfather was handsome and cut a dashing figure." She smiled. "Tomorrow, in the evening, we shall continue their story where we left off- when it was 'just getting good'."
Kirei Miko's Notes
Is anyone confused about the two Usagi's? Tell me, if you're having any problems with understanding that.
Well, did you like it? Did you, did you, did you? I guess this could be a bit AU too, as I have changed the series to suit my own purposes. ^_~ I like Mamoru struggling with his feelings. I think it's quite appropriate- it shows that he's not always so calm and collected.
