I didn't create the song 'One by One', Enya did, and it legally belongs to her... Ok, I lied awhile ago when I said it would be up the next day, but my computer has been messed up, so here's the next chapter.

Chapter 9 - The Battle Of Hope, And The Loss Of Faith
Abby sat and looked into Jake's eyes as their plan was about to unfold. Abby had left some things unsaid, as did Jake. Both of them felt a little strange, that was the day they were leaving eachother, if all went well. Abby could feel her stomach turn as she danced with him. This was the begining of the plan. Mistress had given her son one more chance, before she was forced to show her rank's abilities as she put it, or in layman's terms, destroy Jake. She didn't take it well when she found out that her suspitions were correct, and that Jake did care for the girl.
He was to take her to a ball that was being held downtown that night, and then Mistress would ruin the party, and destroy those brats, along with the SailorScouts.
But the SailorScouts had a plan too. Jake had told them about a power the last night. It was contained in the two halfs of the firelight crystal. When both of them held the crystal, if they had enough faith in their powers (which they didn't know existed until Jake explained everything), they could cast a spell that could destroy Mistress forever.
But after Jake's news, Abby wasn't sure if she had enough faith left. She'd have to have enough faith though, otherwise everything would be lost.
"Are you alright?" Jake asked Abby. He could tell she was nervous about this whole thing, he was too.
"I'm- I'm fine." she said quickly. She felt crap, hardly fine. She just danced and listened to the music.
"Here am I
yet another goodbye!
He says Adios, says Adios,
and do you know why
she won't break down and cry?
-she says Adios, says Adios, Goodbye.
One by one my leaves fall.
One by one my tales are told."
"Gee," thought Abby, "What a perfect song to at the moment..." She continued to dance, as did Jake. But they both knew they were in love, and they were both breaking apart. The song continued to play.
"It's no lie
she is yearning to fly.
She says Adios, says Adios,
and now you know why
he's a reason to sigh
-she says Adios, says Adios, Goodbye.
One by one my leaves fall.
One by one my tales are told."
"Jake?"
"Yes."
"I have something to tell you..."
"Abby, what is it?"
"I... I..."
"Abby, you're crying!"
"My, oh my!
She was aiming too high.
He says Adios, says Adios,
and now you know why
there's no moon in her sky
-he says Adios, says Adios, Goodbye."
"I... I..."
"Abby, please tell me what's wrong!"
"I, I love you."
"No Goodbyes
for loves brightens their eyes.
Don't say Adios, say Adios,
and do you know why
there's a love that won't die?
-don't say adios, say Adios, Goodbye."
"Abby..."
"I know I'll be gone soon, so it shouldn't matter... But, you should know that I love you... And I always will. And I realise that, you'll probably get over me, but I know, I'll never get over you..."
"Abby..."
"Yes, Jake?"
"-don't say Adios, say Adios, Goodbye."
"I love you too..."
"-don't say Adios, say Adios, Goodbye."
Abby started to cry on Jake's shoulder. Why did it have to be this way? It was like everything else that ever happened to either of them, it just wasn't fair!
"Do you think that, that some way... That you could with us too?"
"I can't..."
"But I love you, and you said you love me. Please, please find a way... I don't want to leave you!"
"I love you Abby... I always will, forever..."
"Do you promise?"
"I promise..."
"-don't say Adios, say Adios, Goodbye........."
Abby and Jake stopped dancing as something slammed through the ceiling. Jake buried Abby's head in his chest, making sure she wouldn't get hurt. This was it, this was the final battle. It all depended on them now, Abby and Karen were about to face their final battle to get home, and out of the world of SailorMoon.
"Well, well, well. Am I interupting something?"
Jake knew he was scowling at his mother.
"I can't believe you would betray me like that! I heard you confess your undying love for that little BRAT!"
Abby looked Jake in the eyes, then left to find Karen. Jake was there alone, staring at his mother, as Abby grabbed Karen's arm, and got her ready for the spell...
"I'll take care of you, after I kill the SailorScouts, you'll watch your love die for your betraying me!"
Mistress walked through the crowd, looking for the SailorScouts and Abby and Karen. Abby and Karen had gotten away, ran to a place where Mistress, hopefully, wouldn't be able to find them for a while. Just then the SailorScouts showed up.
Mistress raised an eyebrow.
"Not this again... You do get tiresome..."
"Abby, we have to hurry!"
Sailor Venus, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Mercury, and SailorMoon unleashed their full powers on Mistress, not making a scratch. Finally, they fell to the ground, wounded and in pain. Then, as Jake quickly checked to make sure they were all ok, Mistress went after Abby and Karen...
"I found you!" Mistress said in a singsong voice as she smirked at their faces.
"LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!" Jake yelled.
"SHUT UP!" she said, getting ready to use a spell on them.
"I SAID LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!" Mistress ignored Jake this time. She said the incantation, but before it could kill the pair of girls, Jake ran in the way. Mistress's eyes widened as Jake fell lifeless to the floor.
"Jake!" Abby yelled. She picked up his head and set it in her lap, tears streaming down her eyes.
"The idiot! HE GOT IN THE WAY! FOR YOU!" Mistress couldn't believe it.
Jake looked Abby in the eyes, "Everything'll be okay..." then he was gone...
"You killed him... He's dead!" Abby sobbed.
"Too bad he won't get to see you die. But then, it's better it happened like this! It's all the more fun to watch your face as I kill everyone..."
Abby looked at her with a face full of hate and sorrow...
"What?!?!" Mistress screamed.
Abby began to recite the incantation she was supposed to say, Karen soon joined in. They focused their powers their home, their friends... their love... and their family...
Mistress screamed as she disappeared forever...
Abby and Karen continued the incantation, the firelight crystal hanging from a necklace glowing, as they were taken through time and space back to their home...
Abby stared at where Jake's body should be, in her arms. But, there was nothing! Nothing but air.
"No, no, NO! He's gone..." she started to sob. Everyone in the room stared at them as Karen comforted Abby. Their mother and father ran up to them.
"ABBY! KAREN!!" they said, as they caught their children in a tight embrace.
But Abby still felt alone, almost dead. Caught in a dark, cold void, one neverending, she stayed lost....
