[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
Hi, Sailor DKC, here with my 17th story! You know, since I started
doing those 3-part stories, I've been getting into it and coming up
with new plots and cool storylines! Hey, and the pictures from
Generals Love also play a big part in it.
However, that means not every story is 3-part. So just expect the
unexpected! That's the fun part! This next 3-part story features the
couple, Kunzite and Venus, and it's based on the portrait of the
artist Venusian Goddess. Her works are on Generals Love. When you see
this *, that will be the portrait that I am describing in the story.
Naoko Takeuchi owns Sailor Moon. I don't! Have fun reading since it's
only for entertainment. Rated PG-17.

ALL FOR WHAT?
By Sailor DKC
Mina walked through the gardens of the Moon Palace. 'I can't believe
it!' she thought, making a grumpy frown. 'Tomorrow I have to be
married to a man I don't know.' She sat on a bench, letting out a
sigh. "What am I going to do?" she asked out loud.
"Excuse me, are you all right?" a voice asked. Mina looked up to face
a man wearing a gray royal uniform and standing before her. "You look
like you need someone to talk to. May I?" he asked.
She stared at him closely. His face seem trustworthy, and with his
long white hair framing his head and draping down past his shoulders,
he looked very handsome. His warming gray eyes looked over her. "Um,
yes. Please sit down. Thank you!" She indicated the space next to
her.
He sat down and introduced himself. "I'm General Kunzite of the
Earth."
"Nice to meet you. I'm Mina from Venus."
"So why are you so upset?"
"Well, the thing is I have to go through an arranged marriage. But I
haven't met the man yet! I'm only doing this as a favor to someone
important. What am I going to do? Uuuuhhhhh!" Mina made fists and
hit her lap in frustration.
Shaking his head, Kunzite patted her back. "I know how you feel. I'm
going through a similar situation myself, and it's also for a favor
for someone important. It's my duty, but oh boy!" he said, drawling
sarcastically on the last phrase. He rolled his eyes upward and
slapped his hand to his forehead in exasperation.
Mina then let out a big sigh. "Looks like we're both stuck in a rut."
Then she smiled at him. "Thank you for listening, Kunzite. It felt
really good to let it all out."
"No problem. If it's any comfort to you, if I was the groom marrying
you, I wouldn't mind." He gave her a wink.
Giggling, Mina placed her hand on his. "Same here. You seem very
nice." They stared at each other for a while.
Clearing his throat, Kunzite stood up. "Well, I have to go. To do my
duty."
Mina stood up, too. "Um, yeah. I have to go get ready for my wedding
tomorrow." They stared at each other again, then Kunzite bowed to
her, turned and walked off.
"Good luck!" he said over his shoulder. Watching him walk further
away, Mina suddenly wished he could stay a bit longer.
THE NEXT DAY...
Kunzite walked toward the Moon Palace, thinking about Mina. 'Those
blue eyes, so soft looking. She sure is something even though I've
only known her a short while. If only I wasn't getting married to a
Sailor Soldier, I'd ask her out.' Making a depressed face, he let
out a big sigh. 'Bad timing. If only I hadn't promised Prince Darien
that I help him out.'
Arriving at the gates of palace, Kunzite twisted his kunzite stone
ring and raised his hand up. Within seconds, he transformed into his
civilian form, Malachite, and entered through the gates. Prince
Darien met him at the entrance. As they walked toward the throne
room, the prince put his arm around Malachite in a grateful hug. "I
really appreciate this, Malachite."
"You know my loyalty lies with you, my prince." He tried to keep a
serious face, but Darien noticed his expression.
"I suppose you don't approve of this marriage," he pointed out.
Malachite sighed, "Your majesty, I will go through with this, but I
feel like betraying myself, not marrying for love."
"This marriage will improve relations between the Earth and the
Moon," argued Darien. "The people from both worlds will see that, if
a common civilian will marry one of the Sailor Soldiers of Princess
Serena, they will learn to trust each other."
Nodding, Malachite gave a sad smile. The Prince will never
understand. 'I want to marry for love,' he thought.
In the throne room, both men waited at the steps leading to Queen
Serenity's throne. "The ceremony will be brief," Darien said, then
again he noticed the sad expression on Malachite's face. Sighing, he
placed his hand on Malachite's shoulder. "I do understand how you
feel. I wish there was another way, but this Sailor Venus is a good
woman and a dedicated guardian to Princess Serena. Who knows? Maybe
you'll both fall in love."
Malachite was about to respond when a royal guard announced the
queen, the princess and Sailor Venus. As the three women entered,
Malachite focused on Sailor Venus since he already met the queen and
her daughter. She is indeed lovely in her orange sailor uniform and,
with her lemon blonde hair adjusted by a red bow. The way she walked
with her slender legs made her look athletic yet graceful. When he
stared into her blue eyes, he noticed their softness and felt a sense
of familiarity. Arching an eyebrow, he wondered, 'Why does she seem
so familiar?'
Sailor Venus, a.k.a. Mina, was thinking about Kunzite until she
entered the throne room. She saw the prince first, then directed her
gaze at Malachite. She was taken aback at how splendidly handsome he
looked. His chiseled features reminded her of some of the male
statues she had seen in the palace's gardens. His gray eyes seemed
very cold, but when she looked deeper in them, she sensed warmness.
'I feel like I've seen those eyes before,' she thought. 'But where?'
Queen Serenity raised her hands in greeting. "Welcome. It's a
beautiful time for a wedding. Shall we begin?"
Malachite and Venus stood in the proper places with Darien and Serena
at their sides acting as best man and maid of honor. As the queen
began the ceremony, the intended couple started to wonder different
thoughts. Venus felt so depressed as she thought, 'How can I marry
without love? I know it's my duty to help make better ties between
our two worlds by marrying a civilian of Earth. But I feel so empty
and lonely.' She looked down at the floor, sadly. 'I'm marrying
someone I don't know. My princess said maybe I'll grow to love him.'
Then Mina felt her hand being taken, and a ring was slipped on her
left finger. She looked up into the face of her groom, and Malachite
looked back at her. Then she slipped a ring on his left finger. They
both turned to face the queen again as she pronounced them married.
They faced each other again, and Malachite leaned down to place his
lips on hers. To each other's surprise, they found the kiss very
pleasant. Drawing back from each other, they stared at each other in
embarrassment and awe.
THE WEDDING NIGHT (sort of)
In the bathroom of their guest bedroom of the queen's palace,
Malachite took a deep breath and stared at himself in the mirror over
the sink. 'I can't believe it!' he thought. 'I'm married! To a woman
I don't know!' Turning to look at the door which led to the bedroom
where Venus is waiting and sighed. 'She is going to have to know
about my other identity, sooner or later.' Facing the door, he looked
at his transformation ring, then at his wedding ring, nodded and
said, "This is it!"
In the dimly lit bedroom, Venus sat on the bed, looking at her
wedding ring. 'Any minute now, my husband will come through that
door, and we'll...'
Trailing off in her thought, she looked behind her at the wide bed.
Enough room to move arou- She quickly whirled back, blushing
furiously. 'I don't know if I can do this,' she thought, breathing
fast. 'What if he forces me? No, he wouldn't! He's a lord in the
Earth kingdom, loyal and honorable! Surely he wouldn't!'
The door opened. Venus shot to her feet as Malachite stepped in. When
he stood in front of her, he cleared his throat. "Um, er, Sailor
Venus, before anything else happens, there's something you should
know about me." Twisting his ring, he raised his hand up in the air,
and said, "KUNZITE STONE,TRANSFORM!"
To Venus' shock, he transformed into General Kunzite! For a while, it
was quiet for awhile between them. As Venus stared into the general's
eyes, she thought, 'No wonder they looked familiar!' Her heart
pounded, rapidly.
"This is me, as an Earth General in gray uniform, going by the name
of Kunzite. I know this comes as a shock to you, but I think you have
every right to know." He shrugged, expressing with his waving hands.
"I don't know how this marriage will work out, but I want it to be an
honest one. I don't want either of us to feel like we're being untrue
to each other."
Touched by his words, Venus slowly smiled and took out her
transformation wand and raised it in the air. To Kunzite's surprise,
she turned into Mina from Venus. She was wearing an orange shimmery
gown with thin straps and two sets of orange clear beads draped
around each bare shoulder. Her bow was the same material as her gown.
"You!" he exclaimed, taking a step back. "Is it really you, Mina?"
"Yes," she said. "You were so honest with me that you also deserve to
know who I am." Clasping her hands together, she looked shyly to the
floor. "And even if this marriage doesn't work, at least we both know
we did our best honestly."
Slowly, Kunzite smiled, and stepped up to her. "We met yesterday, got
married today as strangers, and now we meet again tonight." He
reached out with his gloved hand. Shutting her eyes, Mina expected a
caress on her skin or a taking of her hand when she heard a small
click. Opening her eyes, she saw that Kunzite turned on the bedside
lamp, making the room a little brighter. Staring deeply into her
eyes, he murmured, "Ever since I met you, I've thought of nothing but
your eyes. I always wondered 'Will I ever see her again?' Then I
thought, 'If I did, I cannot be with her. I'll be married to another
woman.' Reaching out again, he cupped her cheek. "Now you're here,
and you're my wife."
Mina felt passionately hot since Kunzite touched her cheek. He leaned
toward her and hovered his lips over hers as if deciding whether to
kiss her or not. She was burning all the way down to her toes. Their
lips brush lightly against each other, but not exactly kissing. Mina
felt like spinning as she felt his body rub loosely against hers, but
not exactly holding. Kunzite dropped his gloved hand from her cheek,
brushing past her upper arm and falling back to his side.
As they still avoided each other's lips, mercilessly teasing, their
hands started to skim over each other. As Kunzite caressed all over
her bare arms, shoulders, collarbone and neck, Mina thrilled in the
feel of his soft white gloves. Then she ran her hands all over the
fabric of this uniform, feeling his chest muscles. He felt sizzling
all over as he felt her hands roaming here and there. All this time,
their lips still tease each other, not kissing yet.
Kunzite then paused, his lips again hovering over hers. He debated
whether or not he should firmly plant his lips on hers and seal the
kiss. Mina looked into his eyes, waiting and unsure of what he's
going to do. He finally let out a deep sigh of resignation into her
mouth, and she shivered, as he straightened up, still holding her.
* Placing his hands around Mina's back, Kunzite stared straight ahead
as he caressed her hair. Mina laid her head on his chest sideways to
her right and placing her left hand on his right upper arm and
holding his waist with her unseen other arm. *
"I...I..." he began.
"What?" she asked, quietly.
"I can't." Kunzite kissed the top of her head. "I want to. Oh, how I
want to. But we hardly know each other, and we're now married. I
can't take advantage of you this way."
Mina looked up at him. "What should we do?"
He sat her down on the bed and sat next to her, taking her hands in
his. "Well, the way I see it: we should try to make this marriage
work. We should get to know each other better. Is that all right with
you?"
Nodding, she smiled at him. "I must admit I am relieved we didn't go
any further. But I don't regret what passed between up a while ago,
and I do want us to get more acquainted."
Smiling back, Kunzite raised her hands to his lips and kissed them.
"It's settled then. I guess we can start 'dating' as a single couple
before we start going as a married couple."
Then he stood up and went to the closet and took out some extra
pillows and blankets. "What's that for?" Mina asked.
Chuckling, Kunzite started spreading the blankets near the bed. "I
know we're married, but until we know each other better, I think it's
best that I sleep on the floor. Don't get me wrong. I am a man of
honor, but if I sleep on the same bed with you, I'll unintentionally
take advantage of you in my sleepy stupor." Pausing, he looked at
her, raising an eyebrow and smiling slyly. "Unless you prefer I sleep
with yo-"
"I'm going to get ready for bed!" a blushing Mina said, jumping off
the bed, running to bathroom and slamming the door behind her.
Later, the married couple rested in their own beds, staring up at the
ceiling. They both wondered if they are able to make marriage work.
What if it turned out to be a big mistake? Then what would they be
doing this for? 'All for what?' they both thought, simultaneously.
At the same time, they both made huge sighs.
"What?" Mina asked.
"Huh?" Kunzite responded.
In answer, they both said, "Nothing!"
As they turned on their sides, Mina said, "Good night, Kunzite."
"Good night, Mina," Kunzite replied.
Drifting off to sleep, their last thoughts were:
"Good night, Malachite."
"Good night, Venus."
They both fell asleep.
