From that day on, everything went back to normal, well as normal as they could possibly be. Mina and I continued developing our relationship, and the others were with us as often as possible. On the day that marked our first real encounter with the hellspawn, we were at the mall, shopping for some new clothes for Mina and myself. We had just walked out of the shoe store with two new pairs of sneakers for me when the scream sounded off and echoed throughout the building. I ran to the railing and looked down, to find myself straing into the eyes of two cyborg, reptilian monsters.

"Oh man, we've got company." I hit the button on my belt as I backed away and the armor appeared on me just as the mosters jumped over the edge of the balcony. One of them tackled me to the ground and proceded to try and eat my helmet. The girls transformed, and Darien shot out of the way with Serena. After grappling with the moster for a few moments I got the laser cannon into position in his jaws. Just as he chomped down on it, I pulled the trigger, and his head promptly disappeared in the blast. I then rolled over and fired a second shot, catching the other one in the ribs, moments before it would have landed on Mina. I climbed back to my feet and gained a stance as the monster climbed back to it's feet, wires sparking from the hole that the laser blast had carved into it's side. It snarled and roared, just before jumping at me. I quickly side stepped and spun around, slamming my muscle amped fist into it's forehead, the force of the blow split the monster in half as it crashed to the ground. I quickly hit the button again, making the armor vanish, and watched as the beast's remains disappeared with a puff of smoke.

"Alex, are you okay?" The girls ran up to me, back in their normal state. I nodded, still trying to catch my breath.

"Yeah...I'm fine...just a little winded." I said. We finished our shopping spree and grabbed some pizza before heading back to my place. I immediately went to check on the suit. It had been completely repaired and there was a note taped to the fron of the case from Jackson. "Good job today, keep it up." I read it out loud. I then turned to the others. "He's not much of a conversationalist, is he?" They all smiled and shook their heads. That's pretty much the way it went for a while, the battles were always fast and furious, with one or two opponents, all relatively weak. Then one day we were walking through the middle of town when an aircraft the likes of which no one had ever seen before flew over head dropping three humanoid cyborgs to the ground, about thirty yards in front of us. I glanced briefly at the three cyborgs and hit my belt as the others transformed. Suddenly, three planet shaped balls of energy shot out of nowhere and struck each one of the monsters, launching them across the square as the three outer senshi appeared in front of us.

"What's the call, Maniac?" Michiru asked. I still had my eyes on the plane, it was circling around and keeping an eye on the battle.

"Keep them busy, I'll take care of the bird." I said running away from the plane. It started to gain on me and then passed me. I shot a magnetic grappling hook at it and was ripped off the ground.

"No wonder they call him maniac." Imara commented.

"Agreed, he's as bad as you are." Setsuna agreed.

"What did he mean by keep them busy I..." Michiru was cut off by three voices roaring at them. They turned around just in time to each get belted by one of the monsters. The battle on the street was on.

"Mars Celestial fire SURROUND!" Raye unleashed the fury of flaming disks at one of them. The disks perforated the monsters body, but didn't even phase him.

"Venus Lovechain ENCIRCLE!" Mina shouted. The whip wrapped around the creatures feet and Lita ran at it, shoulder slamming the monster, and knocking it backwards. The beast hit it's head on the concrete, hard, splitting it in half. Lita then turned to face a second one.

"Jupiter Thunder CRASH!" She shot the electrical bolt at the beast. It jumped backwards, convulsing for a few moments.

"Neptune Deep SUBMERGE!" Michiru shouted. The blast of water amplified the electrical shock, and the creature exploded due to overload. The shrapnel hit all of them, and they were all down for the count, leaving one monster remaining. It jumped at Amy, drawing back a metallic fist in preparation to smash her skull. Suddenly it exploded leaving no trace of debris, and I flew by in the aircraft, turning around and landing in the square.

"You have impecable timing." Amy said, still shaking with fear.

"Where'd the pilot go?" Imara asked. I lifted the helmets visor and smiled at her.

"He had a bad trip." I replied. "Come on girls, there's plenty of room for all of you, let's go get you fixed up." When we got back to the house, the armor had once again been repaired and there were seven vials of a green liquid and an air gun sitting on my desk with a note.

"The Commander is very impressed with your resourcfulness, using their own weaponry against them was an ingenious move. The liquid in the vials needs to be injected into each of the scouts, have Amy administer it, she'll know what to do. Keep up the good work." I read out loud again. "At this rate you'll be ready to assault the mother ship and end their reign of terror much sooner than we anticipated." I finished.

"Whoa, hold the phones, nobody said anything about a mother ship." Lita said.

"They're just full of surprises, aren't they?" I asked.

"We have to beat them." Mina said. "The Dark Agency will assault this planet directly if we don't keep the pressure on them." She said. "Believe me, I know." I walked over to her and smiled.

"And I was with you every step of the way." I said. "I'm not going to let them win, Mina, I'll do anything necessary to beat them."

"That's good Alex," she said, her voice starting to crack. "Because apparently you're the only one who can." She darted up the stairs and out of the house, sobbing.

"Oh, I get what's going on." Raye said. "She's upset because she can't fight them, nowhere near as effectively as she used to anyway." I sat down and shook my head, sighing. "Shouldn't you maybe go after her?" Raye asked. I quickly fought back my own emotions and started up the stairs. I opened the door and found her sitting on the porch, crying. I took off my jacket and draped it over her shoulders.

"It's a little chilly out here, you'll catch your death of cold." I said sitting down beside her and lighting a cigarette. "Mina, I'm here for you, but I can't help if you're not talking." I sighed. "I mean, I have a bionic suit downstairs that can punch holes through five foot blocks of steel all day long, but when it comes to things like this, I feel completely helpless." I said. She looked at me.

"Alex, The Dark Agency was supposed to have been destroyed when I finished them off in England all those years ago."

"Actually, I suppose that's my fault." Artemus said, sitting down on the other side of her. "The Boss, Jackson, told me to keep you in the dark about their survival, that you wouldn't be able to focus on helping Sailor Moon if you knew that their superior officers had survived."

"So IROG is associated with the Moon Kingdom?" I asked.

"Not really, but yes. We had to work with them on a few research missions before the kingdom was destroyed. We weren't allies, more like aquaintances, when the kingdom was destroyed, and they learned of our survival, Jackson got in touch with me and filled me in on the situation in England." Artemus said. "Conveniently, I was already looking for you, and the Negaverse still had a long way to go before they located the time that we had come out in, so I agreed to help them chase the D.A. off. Even with Sailor `V's awesome powers, we just barely got to Tokyo in time to save the girls."

"So, you knew they weren't gone?" Mina asked.

"Mina, at the time, we were strictly under Jackson's command. Would you have been able to focus on Queen Beryl knowing that the D.A. was still out there? Or any of them for that matter?" Mina shook her head.

"Listen, I can imagine what kind of hell you must have went through back then, Mina." I said. "Believe me, I know, but you have to hang in there, even if your powers can't fight them, you being there makes me strong enough to not only fight, but to win." I said, looking at her seriously. She searched my eyes as though looking to see whether or not I was being honest, then she leaned up and kissed me softly. When she pulled away, my eyes were wide open, and I had stopped breathing. She laughed and shoved me off to the side. I got back up and sat back down beside her again.

"Thank you, Alex, thanks for cheering me up." She leaned into my shoulder, I draped an arm over hers and we sat there for a few moments before I spoke again.

"Okay, I think I may have dozed off for a second there, um, did you just kiss me?" I asked. She nodded and looked up at me with a twinkle in her eyes.

"Yes, why?"

"Just wondering." I said still looking straight ahead.

"You're gonna need a pillow in a few minutes aren't you?" She asked.

"Probably so." I nodded. She smiled and leaned her head into my shoulder again.
