When we got back to the hospital, Darien and Raye waisted no time putting their belts on.

"Wow, I can feel the effects already." Darien said wiggling his fingers in front of him. "This technology is awesome."

"Definitely, but something is bothering me." I said shaking my head. "If their technology is so powerful, why don't they just cut of the D.A. at it's source?"

"Because doing so is against our rules." Jackson said from behind me.

"Man, you've got to start using the door." I replied turning around. "And what about that is against your rules?"

"We aren't allowed to assault our own, or interfere with the course of nature." He said. I looked confused.

"You said that I'm now an agent of IROG, right? How is it that I am allowed to fight them?" I asked.

"Because, defeating them is your initiation." He said. "After you've beaten them, you'll be held to our laws."

"Then count me out." I replied. "This may not be the same dimension I was born into, but either way, this planet is my home, and I don't see the point of saving it now, if I'm not going to be permitted to do it again, should the situation arise."

"Alex, without their equipment, we won't be able to stop them."

"I'll find a way." I said. Jackson smiled.

"So be it, Alex, we'll consider you an agent under the darker side of our own operations." He said.

"What?" I asked. He removed his shades finally and folded them up placing them under his jacket. His eyes were strange, one of them was blue, the other one was pure silver. It was then that I realized that he must have been like me at one point with the IROG.

"Well, Alex, have you ever heard of any organization that has made it's own rules and actually followed all of them? Well at least off the record." He said. "And you being a commander, actually puts you in the highest seat in that agency."

"Well then, how do we wrap this up?"

"Anxious to claim your seat?" He asked. I looked over at Mina and took her hand.

"No, not really, but I have a prior engagement that's waiting on this mission being successfully completed." He smiled.

"Are you sure you're ready?" He asked.

"As ready as I'll ever be. What kind of man power does my agency have?"

"Right now? It's just you." He said.

"Wow, okay, that toughens things up a little bit, but I think I have a plan." I walked over and shut the door, telling my plans to Jackson where the others couldn't hear anything I was saying.

"The worst part about that plan, is that it might just be crazy enough to work." Jackson said. "We'll get to work on the equipment and get it to you as soon as possible, oh, P.S. we've finally gotten around to doing this, your computer has been replaced with one of our own, and a defensive network is in place around the house, your new computer has been named `Narnia' so as not to confuse you."

"Wait a minute, named? You mean it's A.I.?"

"We expect the best from our men, Alex, and we give the best in return. We'll keep in touch." He vanished again.

"So what's the plan?" Darien asked.

"Can't say." I replied. "All of you are just going to have to trust me on this one."

"You're not going solo, are you?" Mina asked.

"Nope, in fact, without the rest of you, this plan would never work."

"Well how are we going to know what to do?"

"Just do what you would normally do, Jackson just has to get me some equipment, I'll have to set up a few things, then this whole thing will be over, one way or another, in under two months." I said.

"I really don't like the sound of that." Mina said. "Just promise me you won't get yourself killed." She said.

"Really, we've already slated you for that position as commander in chief of the Crystal Tokyo army." Luna said.

"Well, I can't promise that, and all of you know that. Death is one of the unpredictable dangers of this job." I said. "If I die, Crystal Tokyo will rise just as it would have if I had never been here, there will be another commander in chief, I'm just a man, you can't base the future of this kingdom on me. That's what Darien and Serena are for."

"But, Alex, I..."

"I know, Mina, but you listen to me. You have a job to do, no, it's way more than just a job, you have a destiny to fulfill, and with or without me, you have to do your part." I said. She jumped into me and sighed.

"I love you, Alex." She mumbled. "You can't die, we have a future together that I am planning for." I smiled and returned the gesture.

"Hey, this is Rini's big day, let's not dampen it with a bunch of emotional mumbo jumbo, there'll be plenty of time in years to come for that." She smiled and we turned our attention back to Serena, Darien, and Rini.
