Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ Another Reason ❯ One-Shot
[ A - All Readers ]
Story #45 from Sailor DKC! This is exciting for me because I’m
nearing #50! Anyway, this story I’m writing is a one-shot, and I’m
doing something creative in this one. What would it be like if there
is a high school environment involving Ami and Zoisite? This is new
for me for I’ve never done a high school story before. If you like it
or not, that’s OK! I’m just trying this out!
For the story, I am borrowing the character Tigers-Eye from Sailor
Moon Super S, and I am changing his name to Riget, that’s “tiger”
backwards!
The picture which helped me inspire a scene in the story is from
Mercury Blue. I did a previous story, “Could It Be?”, based on
another one of her works from the site Generals Love. When you see
this *, I am describing the picture in a scene.
So I dedicate this story to you, Mercury Blue! I love your
Ami/Zoisite drawing. It’s so beautiful!
Sailor Moon is owned by Naoko Takeuchi, not me. Have fun reading!
Rated G and entertainment only.

ANOTHER REASON
By Sailor DKC
“Lord Zoisite, there is no need for this!”
“Lady Ami, I beg you, please, to let me!”
“I can’t! We’ll both get in trouble!”
“No one will know! Please!”
“No! Now, let go!”
“Give me the answers!”
RIIIIPPPP!
Zoisite and Ami looked in shock at the torn halves
of Ami’s test paper in their hands. The other students in the
classroom turned to stare at them, startled.
“Lord Zoisite! Lady Ami!” called out the teacher in a firm
tone. “Please report to the principal’s office!” Everyone snickered
and giggled as the duo left the room, heads down in embarrassment.
As they walked down the hallway, Zoisite looked at Ami,
who held her head up high with an annoyed look on her face. Clearing
his throat, he said, “Lady Ami, I do apologize for my conduct back
there!”
“Hmph! Thanks to you, now we’re being sent to the
principal’s office!”
“Well, it’s not the end of the world!”
“That’s true, but I’ve never gotten in trouble before!”
“Well, since it’s your first time, maybe he’ll let it
slide.”
Letting out an exasperated sigh and turning her head to
face him, she said, “You know ever since you asked me to help tutor
you, I was hoping that you really want to improve on your studies.
But there’s another reason. You are always goofing off during study
time, and never being serious when we do study together. I have been
very patience with you, but now this is the final straw! Trying to
copy my answers! How could you?”
“Hey, I was desperate! And besides, I know you just didn’t
agree to be my tutor just to help me. There is another reason for
that.” Zoisite shoved his hands in his uniform pants pockets and gave
her a sly look. “Remember what happened at the last dance in our
school a few weeks ago? The one before we all crammed for exams?”
Turning red, Ami widened her eyes and looked ahead towards
the principal’s office which they were nearing.
FLASHBACK BEGINS
Ami was leaning against the wall, sighing as she watched
everyone dancing. ‘How boring!’ she thought. ‘Why did I come here?
Oh, yes, Princess Serenity insisted I should have some fun before the
exams. But no one’s asked me to dance. I should have stayed home and
studied.’
“Pardon?” a thick accented voice said. Looking up, Ami
recognized the foreign exchange student, Sir Regit, from Earth. He
was wearing nice black slacks, a nice shirt, and a very loud
tiger-striped vest. Flicking his long blond hair aside, he held his
hand out to her. “Would milady care to dance?”
Nodding politely, Ami took his hand, and they both stepped
out onto the dance floor. As they danced, she said, “I hope you are
enjoying your visit to our school. I believe you find it different
from your school on Earth.”
“Well, I do admit,” Regit replied. “that Moon Kingdom High
is very different from Cosmic Dream High in many forms of learning
education. But there is something that this high school has in common
with my high school.”
“Oh, and what’s that?”
Suddenly, Ami gasped as Regit pulled her closer to him in
a firm grip. “That it has a huge population of the most loveliest
girls I have ever seen.”
“Please, sir, you flatter me,” Ami laughed uneasily as she
tried to squirm away from his grasp.
“Ah, my dear cherie, I do not lie,” he murmured with a
smirk. “You are so lovely with your innocent face. I would like so
much to steal a kiss from you!”
Her eyes widened as he bent his head to try to kiss her.
“Sir Regit! We just met! I hardly think this is proper!” she spoke,
aloud, now trying to get out of his arms. Some of the dancers started
to turn heads to see what the commotion was all about.
“Aw, cherie,” Regit growled. “You resist. I find that very
attractive in a young waif like you.” Holding her in a very tight
embrace, he gave her a wicked grin. “It makes me want to kiss you
more.”
Ami kept struggling, but to no avail. She could not free
herself. “No, don’t!” she yelled. “Please let go of me!”
“Not until I get my kiss,” he said, as he lowered his head
to kiss her. By then, almost everyone was looking at them, wondering
what’s going on.
Then there was a tap on Regit’s shoulder. Releasing Ami,
he turned to see a man in a general’s uniform with long red-blond
hair tied in a ponytail. “You heard the lady, pal,” the man said,
crossing his arms. “She said to let her go!”
Facing him, Regit placed his hands on his hips. “And who
are you?”
“I am Zoisite, an Earth General-in-training. I go to this
school, and you are bothering a sailor princess. Now I am asking you
to leave her alone.”
“Leave her alone? I merely wish to give this sailor
princess a few hours of my time,” Regit laughed, tossing his head
back. “If she is training to be a Sailor Senshi, then shouldn’t she
be ready to take risks and ready for…” he turned to Ami and gave her
an insinuating look… “anything?”
Everyone, including Ami, gasped in shock. “How dare you!”
she yelled. Then, when Regit turned to face Zoisite again, at that
moment, Zoisite’s fist shot out and socked him right on the nose!
Everyone shouted in surprise and cheer as they took in the sight of
Sir Regit falling to floor, clutching his bloody nose, Zoisite in his
post-punch stance and Ami staring at everything with a shocked
expression.
FLASHBACK ENDS
“Well, I didn’t say he deserved it!” Ami said. “But I
thought the reason for me to tutor you was to improve your studies.”
“Huh, the way I see it, I thought it was just to thank me
for defending your reputation,” Zoisite said. They were now facing
the principal’s office. “So, this is it. Time to face the music.”
She nodded. “Yes.” As she reached up to knock, he
suddenly grabbed her hand. “What? What is it?”
“Lady Ami, I have a confession to make. I was goofing
around on purpose, and I could have passed that test.”
Blinking her eyes in confusion, she said, “I don’t
understand. If you could have passed it, why did you grab my test
paper?”
Holding her hand in both his, he admitted, “During our
tutor sessions, I’ve grown to like you a lot, and I feared if the
tutoring ends, there would be no reason to be with you again. I hope
when you tell the principal about what happened today that you will
insist I need more tutoring time. That way I can still be with you.”
Ami stared at him in awe and wonderment as he gave her
hand a squeeze and bent to touch it with his forehead, he continued,
“But I didn’t mean for you to be so upset. I’ll understand if you
don’t want to have anything to do with me again.”
He turned to face the office door as he went to release
her hand. He felt her holding it on to it more firmly. As he turned
to face her again, he was surprised to see her come up to him so
quickly and placing a kiss on his lips.
* Placing her left hand on his right shoulder, Ami kissed Zoisite as
his hands rested about her waist. *
And just like that, the kiss was over. “Wow,” breathed
Zoisite. “Why?”
Blushing, Ami looked away as she fingered circles on his
shoulder. “Just to say thank you.”
“Is that the truth, or is there another reason?”
Turning back to look at him, she smiled prettily. “Both.”
He smiled back as he reached up to caress her cheek. “What
is the other reason?”
“I like you a lot, too.”
Turning back to face the office, they held hands as Ami
knocked on the door. “So, what should we do about this?” she asked.
“Hmm.” Zoisite scratched his chin. “Well, we could tell my
planned version of what happened today, or we could tell the truth.”
“I think the planned version’s better.”
“Ok, then. Oh, and one more thing.”
“What?”
“Will you go to the prom with me?”
“Yes.”
They gave each other a kiss as the door opened, and they
sprang apart as the principal gave them a disapproving frown. “Is
this the reason you’re both here?”
“Oh, no, sir!” Ami said. “There’s another reason!”
“Indeed, sir!” Zoisite agreed.
“Well, then come in and we’ll talk about it.”
The door shut behind them.
