3:12 PM
(Zoicite looks out at the earth through the window of his palace on the moon. Jadeite stand behind him, and Nephrite is seen walking up the stairs to his left)
Zoicite: Soon, my plans shall be accomplished, and the thrice-accursed Sailor Rangers shall be no more!
(Jadeite snorts and steps forward)
Jadeite: Your 'plan' is just like the last 30 plans you had. How is this one going to be any less of a failure?
Zoicite: Silence, Jadeite! Nephrite, is the new youma ready?
(Nephrite pushes Jadeite down the stairs and steps forward)
Nephrite: Yes, my queen. The new youma and a new batch of Shadowputties are ready, and can be sent to Earth at your request.
(Zoicite grins)
Zoicite: Than send them down.
Angel Grove Mall, Angel Grove, Japan
3:15 PM
(A mall in Angel Grove. The 5 Sailor Rangers, in their normal human guises, are sitting at a table in the food court, eating, talking, and just generally being teenage girls. Usagi stuffs hamburgers and french fries into her mouth with no regard as to chewing. Her friends look on in amusement. Ami, the book in front of her providing protection from the food shrapnel, speaks up.)
Ami: Usagi-chan, perhaps you should slow down eating. You aren't trying to win a race.
Usagi (through a mouthful of food): But I'm hungry, and I want to eat it all quick!
Makoto: Don't both Ami, you know there's nothing we can do to slow her down.
(A high pitched but low volume beeping is heard. All the girls suddenly stop and lean forward towards one another. Ami activates the communicator on her wrist)
Ami: What is it Alpha A?
Alpha A (over communicator): Rangers! Come quickly, there's trouble you need to know about!
Ami: Right. We'll be right there, Alpha A.
(Ami turns off the communicator and the girls stand up)
Usagi (looking forlornly at the remains of her food): Let's go girls.
(The girls quickly walk off to a deserted corridor near the back of the mall. Once sure that they are out of sight, each presses a button on their communicators, and the five disappear in multicolored flashes of light)
Satellite of Senshi
3:20 PM
(The five 5 multicolored streaks of light appear from the ceiling of the room. The five lights materialize into the girls. They look up at the hexfield taking up one wall of the satellite bridge. Alpha L and Alpha A appear from the shadows and stand behind the rangers as the hexfield screen powers up, revealing the girls mentor and superior, Chibi-usa.
Chibi-usa (Loud): RANGERS!
Girls and Cats: GAH!
Chibi-usa (not-as-loud: Oops, sorry. I had the setting for dramatic boom up too high.
(Usagi uncovers her ears)
Usagi: It's okay. What's wrong Chibi-usa? Is it Zoicite?
Chibi-usa: Yes. A group of shadowputties and a youma are attacking the mall in downtown Angel Grove.
(The girls look at one another)
Makoto (puzzled): How did we miss that?
Ami: It probably would explain the yelling and explosions in the background.
Rei: That was a youma attack? I thought it was just Usagi's eating!
Usagi: REI!
(Alpha L and Alpha A sigh. Alpha L trots over to Usagi)
Alpha L: Girls, don't you have something you should be doing?
Usagi: Alpha L's right. Let's do it guys. IT'S TRANSFORMING TIME!
(Bizarre multicolored backgrounds flash as transforming sequence begins)
Ami: MERCURY!
Makoto: JUPITER!
Rei: MARS!
Minako: VENUS!
Usagi: MOON!
(The Rangers teleport away, and the cats leave the bridge. The hexfield is left open)
Chibi-usa (wiggles uncomfortably): I wish they'd get me outta this thing.
Angel Grove Mall
3:25 PM
(Shadowputies, dark-colored humanoids made of clay, are attacking the patrons of the mall as a youma watches. This particular youma stand at about 7 feet tall, and bears a striking resemblance to a department store dummy, much like the mannequins surrounding it. The youma cackles mindlessly as it watches. Suddenly, the rangers jump in, apparantly having come out of the ceiling, yelling various martial-arts-sounding yells and doing midair flips. The youma watches as they land, and the White Ranger steps forward.)
White Ranger: The mall is a place where evil just cannot be allowed! We, the pretty soldiers in spandex and plastic suits, will put an end to you! Let's go!
(After her speech, the White Ranger runs forward, tripping over a piece of rubble on the ground and on top of a group of shadowputties, which crumble to dust under her. Blue Ranger and Orange Ranger run to her left and easily defeat the rest of the shadowputties on that side with a series of taps, pokes, and nudges, while Green and Red Rangers take care of the remaining putties on the other side. All the Rangers then line up in front of the youma, which now steps forward to face them)
Youma: Ah, now it's my turn. Such fun I shall have!
(The Youma cackles mindlessly and runs at the Rangers, who dodge around it and begin launching an assault, making use of all the skill and power they have. They run around, tripping over one another and htting the youma with blows that do no visible damage)
Youma: Stupid girls, nothing you do shall stop me!
Blue: Girls, it's right. Nothing we do is working, we need to try something else!
Red: Like what? I think we're all open to suggestions at this point!
(As the Blue Ranger opens her mouth to answer, another answer comes along. A rose fies out of the shadows above them, piercing the youma's leg.
Youma: ARGH! That hurt!
White: Look! It's non-ranger hero Masked Tuxedo!
Mask: Sailor Rangers! I have done all I am capable of at this point, but I must tell you that...
(Whatever NRHMT is about to say is cut off as a large chunk of ceiling falls down, landing on top of him. The girls wince in sympathy, although a few suppress giggles)
Green: Wow, that guy does have really bad luck.
Orange: Sucks to be him.
