Bouquet of Lies: Fiore's view
Pairing: Mamoru X Fiore
Disclaimer: I don't own Sailor Moon. I don't own any of the characters. I didn't ask permission to use them. I mean no disrespect for doing so. Don't bother to sue me, because I'm a poor college student, and you'd get no money what so ever.

Mamoru, I have traveled the universe for you. For our Promise. I promised to bring you flowers, but not just any flowers. They had to be special. They had to be prefect. Because if they weren't, I knew you wouldn't want them. So I looked. From one end of the galaxy to the other, I searched. There had to be a flower that'd come close to the one you'd given me so long ago.

My only company on my lonely journey was your memory. The day of youth gone by. The brief time on Earth was a dream for me. It felt like forever. But my forever couldn't last. I never let on the Earth was killing me. If you had known, you would have been sad. I never wanted to make you sad. I wanted the time we had left to be a memorable one. But, then I knew I had to leave.

I was going to disappear the way I had come. I had it all planned out. Then you changed my plans. You stood there holding that flower and you were crying a little. I remember because my eyes weren't exactly dry either. You gave me it. I knew then what I had to do. I'd never been given anything before, and here you were, my only friend, giving me a gift. I made you my promise. I wouldn't be gone forever. I wouldn't leave you alone. I'd come back with lots of flowers just for you.

So my journey across space began. I went to guardians and fields, but I found nothing. Nothing to convey my thanks. Nothing to show you how much I valued your friendship. I refused to admit defeat. For every place I passed through, there were three more to check. For every flower I thought was good enough, I always found one that was better. And as my search for perfection continued, I got more desperate. I was older now, and I was starting to doubt myself.

Now I was followed by what-ifs. They plagued me. What if I never found the right flower? What if I did and you didn't what it? But the what-if that scared me the most was: what if you forgot me? That thought haunted me. You might have forgotten me. Then this ridiculous wild goose chase would have been for nothing. The more I though about you not remembering me; the more I convinced myself of that fact.

Defeated and lonely, I gave up. I just didn't care anymore. Nothing mattered. You had forgotten me. But, I would find a way to make you remember. Then one day I found it. The perfect flower; one you'd like and accept. It'd make you remember me. When I picked it everything became clear. The flower told me the people of Earth were to blame. It was the humans. They had left you alone. They had forced you to forget me. I would make them pay for that. The flower talked and I listened. She said the humans had to die.

So with a plan, I returned to Earth. I returned to find you and give you my flowers. But I wasn't' just going give them to you. The whole world would receive my gift. Then you'd forget the humans and be with me.

Finding you wasn't very hard. Actually, I thought it was a little too easy. I wasn't about to complain, because I had found you. It was rather ironic that I found you in a garden. You were standing there amongst the flowers. You looked relieved. I watched for a bit, but I soon became impatient. I thought you'd be alone. You weren't. There was a group of girls with you.
I knew I should have waited until they were gone, but I was eager to see if you remembered me. So I arrived. My appearance left you and your little group stunned. I tried to appear non-chalet, like I did that type of thing every day. You still looked surprised. Then that blonde girl ran up and hung all over you. I wasn't about to admit that bothered me.

I greeted you like an old friend was supposed to. You claimed not to know me. Undaunted, I continued. I thought I could get you to remember me. I wanted you to come with me. I even brought up my promise. You still acted like I was some kind of stranger. When I took your hand, I thought it would help. It didn't. Instead, that girl got between us. She said you were hers. Her boyfriend. I had no idea what she was talking about, but she was in my way. She was separating us, so I moved her.

I was saddened by your reaction. You ran to her, along with all those other girls. As you ignored me and they comforted her, I decided it was time for me to go. I figured by all the yelling that was going on that I hadn't made a good first impression. So I left. I left you with them because I still had a promise to fulfill, even if you didn't remember it.

I returned to my home base. I have to admit that an asteroid isn't the best place for a base. I chose it because it was perfect for my flowers. They grew all over, waiting. Waiting for the time when they'd spread to Earth and greet you. But, I truly didn't know if they'd do well on Earth. That required an experiment. So I sent one of my flower seeds. There it took root. I would know if your world was perfect for my flowers or not very soon.

The experiment was a success. Not only did my plant grow, it flourished. The energy of humans was perfect for it. I also found that my plants could manipulate the humans they drained. That was a good thing to know. I also found out that there were beings on the planet of great power. These young girls not only fought my flower being, they destroyed it.

I hadn't counted on the Sailor Senshi. I dismissed them as a nuisance. I proved that pretty effectively. While my flower had been a relatively easy fight, I wasn't. They never stood a chance against me. They did try, so I have to give them that. There was one that got very close to getting me, but close never counts, especially with me. I believe that girl ended up in a telephone booth.

Then I went for the obvious leader. I recognized her. She was the girl for earlier. The one that had gotten between us. I was going to finish her. The flower told me to. Who am I to deny the one thing that could get you to be with me? After all, this girl deceived you.

Then you stopped me. I had a feeling that it was you from the moment the rose hit the ground at my feet. I didn't recognize you at first. The tuxedo put me off. But by the end of your speech, I knew. You call me by name and I knew you hadn't forgotten me after all. Then you asked me why. I deserved to know that too. Why that girl? She would just leave you all alone in the end.

You pleaded with me. You wanted me to believe you. I wanted to, I really did. I wanted to make myself believe in the one you called Sailor Moon, but I didn't know if I could. It'd been so long, and I'd been lied to so many times. So when the Kisenian woke me to the truth, I reacted. The girl was deceiving you. I had to kill her. You were in the way. I didn't wish to fight with you. I tried to convince you once again, but you didn't listen. You didn't listen.

You took what I had entered for her. You got in the way. I had hit you. I had hurt you. You had sacrificed yourself for that girl. She was crying for you, and inside, I was crying right with her. I had to do something, or you would die. With the help of the Kisenian, I took you from her. When I floated away with you, she ran after us. Didn't she understand? She's lost. I won and you were coming with me. I had the feeling as I vanished that she wasn't about to give up. I just didn't pay attention to it in time.

I took you to my asteroid. You weren't looking too good. I really didn't know what I could do for you. But, my answer supplied itself. I placed you in a specialized healing chamber. Then I stood before it and waited for you to return to me.

You opened your eyes slowly. I tried to reassure you. You finally remembered me. Only for some reason, you thought that I was a figment of your imagination. I reminded you I was not. I informed you that the bond we shared was indeed real. The time we had together had been a Godsend for me, and I made sure you knew it. Then I brought you up to date on my quest. When I had finished, you were shocked. You told me you didn't want such a thing. I didn't see why not. You looked at me like I was some kind of monster. You seemed to stare past me. I didn't know what you were looking at. There wasn't anyone else here but us. I started worrying about your sanity. I asked you if you were going to leave me alone again. You refused to answer me. Why? What had you seen that I could not? I informed you that I would be the only one to ever give you flowers. Then I turned away. I couldn't stand to see you so sad.

I turned from you. I had to leave for a bit. I felt an odd energy coming my way. I wasn't about to be alone again. I'd make sure you stayed with me forever.

The energy entered my asteroid. I recognized the energy now. The senshi had come to take you away from me. They had almost caught me off guard-almost. From the time they entered, one of my creatures was on them. Even though I was prepared, they still got her. I didn't care. I had more tricks up my sleeves.

I watched them from afar. Somehow, they had found where I put you. The leader started to run to you. The one I put in the booth stopped her. She had the audacity to think I'd use you for a trap. I'd never do that. I valued you far too much to do that. I made sure they knew it before I appeared before them.

I really didn't favor dramatic entrances, but if it helped to make them afraid, I'd do it. So there I was with flowers falling off me. They stood in shock. It's worked. Their leader demanded your return. I thought I had made it perfectly clear that you were staying with me, but I guess they didn't understand. I would have to make them understand. I let them in on my plan. I told them how I would blanket the Earth, and how everybody would die. When I said that, they tried to attack me. I wasn't about to stand there and take it. I left, making them anticipate what was coming next. They didn't have to wait long. My flowers bloomed into snake monsters. I let them have their fun.

The senshi somehow managed to turn the tables. They were putting down everything I could throw at them. And they just kept going. If this continued any longer, all my flowers would die. I had to stop them. How was I to know their leader would survive being buried alive? That angered me. I made fun of her. Mocking her for abandoning her friends. She threatened me. She was starting on some kind of attack, but I wouldn't have it. I still had some tricks. I pulled her companions from their grave. I made it horribly clear that if she hurt my plants, her friends would also suffer. They tried to convince her otherwise. I didn't think she'd give up, but she did. She was crying because her friends were in pain. And she was apologizing for being weak.

I don't know what it was, but something had me. As I watched, my heart began to feel heavy. The heaver it got, the more it hurt to watch. Here was this girl, and she cared. No one cared like that, no one. I slowly let my creatures vanish and I released her friends. I thought that'd make the hurting stop. It didn't. I didn't know why it hurt.

The Kisenian took all the pain away. This girl wanted to take you away from me. I wouldn't allow that. I needed power to stop you, to stop the pain. The flower had that power. With her, I'd be strong and you'd remember me. The thought over took me. The flame of my anger for being alone burned hotter. The hatred for those who's left you and me alone blazed out of control. It took over and I felt the change. It ran through my entire body, washing away my pain. Then the feelings subsided. The change had occurred. I felt the embrace of the Kisenian. I felt her power.

It was my turn to show Sailor Moon what I was capable of. I hit her with my power. It was immense. I shatter through rock just to get at her. Then I had her. She wouldn't escape. She wouldn't take you away.

I wasn't going to let liars like her live. Because she was like all the others. She'd left us alone. I'd make sure she knew how it felt before I killed her. She'd know the loneliness of our lives, the feeling of not wanting to be born, the knowledge of having no one to talk to, of no one knowing what I was. And when I was through, I let her go.

She dropped heavily onto the ground. I would make her death a slow painful one. Then her comrades were there. They were begging me to spare her. They said she had given them something irreplaceable. I knew it wasn't true. She was a liar. But they insisted, claiming that without her they would have all been alone. That's when I knew she had to go quickly. She had fooled you all.

I sent out my spikes. There were a lot of them. I didn't care; it'd do the job. Then I stopped because it's hit me. I looked down at the perfect rose standing in my chest. It couldn't be. This wasn't what was supposed to happen. Not like this. But it had. I stared in the direction the flower had come from.

It was you. Somehow, you broke out of the chamber. You were still injured, but yet you still found the strength to throw a flower at me. In that moment, I truly died. I watched you fall to the ground. I fell with you.

I didn't think it was possible. You had thrown a flower at me. You hated me. You were leaving me alone. It broke my heart to know the truth. In the moment, the Kisenian lost her hold on me. Her power faded and I was alone with my pain. It didn't matter that she was with me. Nothing mattered, because my only friend had thrown a flower at me. My only friend was leaving me. The man I loved hated me.

I sat there in my misery. All my flowers disappeared. Fitting. You didn't want them anyway. Just like you didn't want me. If you didn't want me so be it. No one else was going to get you either. I made the asteroid change course. We'd crash into Earth and burn up, and there was nothing anyone could do about it. I might have lived alone, but I wouldn't die alone.

She sat up. Then I knew she would try anyway. The thing on her bow started to shine. Her friends were telling her not to use it. What ever it was must have been her source of power. I wasn't going to let her use it. I grabbed it. She wouldn't use her power. She would die here with me. She grabbed my arm lightly and smiled. I didn't understand. I was so confused. She asked me what I was afraid of. I didn't know. She told me I wasn't alone. I knew it to be a lie. She was just pretending to be nice, wasn't she?

Then her power had me. I was bathed in that white light. When my eyes cleared, I was back at the hospital. You were there as I remembered you, young, sad, and alone. I stood in the shadows and watched the past unfold. A blonde girl tried to comfort you. I think you were sad because I had to leave. She told you to cheer up. Then the little girl gave you a rose to make you happy, and you were. I realized the girl would become Sailor Moon. She'd given you a flower. In turn, you had given it to me. The flower, our flower was from Sailor Moon.

Then I was back in the present. I was more confused than ever. Who was this girl? I moved my hand away from her bow. There a crystal flower sat. I started to cry. It was I who'd left you alone. Not this girl. She was telling the truth. Everything became so clear. You were never alone. My life was a lie. With my realization, the Kisenian flower vanished. Her light was still shining. I let it take me. I didn't belong here. I'd hurt your friends, and I'd hurt you. It was only fitting to die as I lived. Alone.

I don't think I was totally gone. I saw everything that happened next. She turned into some kind of princess, and you became something else as well so you could help her. Her friends joined in to support her as well. With them, she steered the asteroid away from danger. She saved you all with the last of her power. Her crystal flower shattered. She was dead.

Everybody was sad. You were sad. I had again made you sad. I had made you alone again. I had to help you. It was the least I could do. I contacted you. I needed to thank you anyway. You and her. You both saved me. And I still had a promise to keep.

I reached out for you with my offering; one perfect white flower. It contained the sum of all my energy. I knew what it'd cost me. I knew all too well. But, just to make sure you took it, I became the little child you knew and called friend. You accepted it. You took its nectar and placed it upon your lips. I don't know what happened after that. I floated away. I think I must have been dead, but I didn't care. You know why? Because I knew I wasn't alone. That day, I finally learned what you knew so well.
