Chapter 4 ~ Visit

~3rd person~

Taro watched as the senshi walked in, Serenity smiling. He watched as the princess's eyes widened at the figure sitting next to Selenity, and he watched as her smile widened.

The young man sitting besides Selenity was tall, with short black hair and startling midnight blue eyes. The man stood as he saw Serenity and walked around the table to get to her.

Serenity threw herself into the man's arms, and he laughed, lifting her up and swinging her around. Taro smiled at their laughter.

"Endymion!" Serenity cried between laughs. The man, Endymion, placed Serenity on the floor and kissed her hand.

"Serenity, Endymion arrived late last night. He's here to take care of a few matters before returning to Earth," Queen Selenity informed her daughter. Serenity nodded and allowed Endymion to pull her from the room.

Calling over his shoulder, Enymion said, "Soldiers, I shall protect her. There is no need to follow."

Taro laughed silently as he saw Mars and Jupiter lower themselves back into their seats. He assumed the Prince of Terra had had experience with the senshi.

When the queens had left, Taro inquired, "Why did you allow Serenity to leave without you?"

Mars sighed and said, "Endymion is not one to disobey."

"So I have heard. I have never really met him, but I cannot see them together," Taro said softly.

"Yes, well, it was a bit of a shock for all of us."

"They are soul-bonded, you know. I always knew Serenity was bonded to _someone_," Venus told them.

"There she goes again! I cannot stand all this mushy love business!" Jupiter cried in mock annoyance, and the senshi broke out in gales of laughter.

<So they aren't so cold all the time...> Taro thought.

"Sometimes we worry about her," Mars added seriously.

"What do you mean?" Kiyoshi asked quietly.

"She means that Endymion is not the most wonderful man alive," a voice said from behind Kiyoshi.

Everyone turned to see four young men dressed in grey uniforms and silver armor.

The blond-haired man's green eyes were sparkling with laughter.

The tall, white-haired man smacked the blond upside the head. It was obvious from the noice that it was no gentle tap, but the shorter blond simply laughed.

"Calm down, Kunzite! No need to get nasty!"

"Do not disrespect the prince, Jadeite," Kunzite warned. His voice was stern.

The senshi laughed.

<Things are starting to get interesting.>
