(Dream sequence)

A Silent Night

The wind blew softly though my hair, leaving all of my senses behind. I was swinging on my mother's swing everyday ever since I was a little girl.

Mother died today, leaving me to take care of my little brother, Sammy. All I can think of was the memories my mother and I have spent. The mother who loved and cared for me is gone. It brought tears to my eyes just thinking about it.

A hand caressed my cheek as I cried. I stopped my weeping and looked at up to the owner to the hand. There I saw my lover, my one and only, my everything; Darien. "Darien! What are you doing here?" I asked. "I came over to see my little Bunny." He answered. "Oh Darien." I swooned, and lifted myself off the swing and into his arms. I cried into his chest telling how much I missed my mother. "I know, I know. It will be ok, Bunny, I'm here." He whispered in my ear. "Later today I have to go to a funeral." He told me, looking into my eyes. "Oh really? Whose?" I asked. "Yours." He said solemnly, and smiling. 'What is he talking about?' I backed away, getting a little freaked out. "Yes darling, its true. You are such a burden on my shoulder. I need another, another that will tend to my every wish. That's when I came to Rei: my new lover. He stated. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Rei walking over to Darien. Hugging and kissing him, like he was a scared child. "Rei, how could you do this to me? I thought we were friends?!" I screamed at that traitor. "Serena, I thought you would approve of mine and Darien's relationship, guess I was wrong." She frowned, and pulled out a gun. Pointing straight at me. Darien grabbed to barrel of the gun pulling at it. "Baby, let me have the honor of pulling the trigger on my ex-lover." He smiled wickedly at her. "Sure, go ahead, I won't stop you." She smirked. He pointed the gun at me and said, "I'm sorry Serena, it just wasn't working out between us. I still love you though." He said. I put my hand on my heart, "Not as much as I loved you." I practically screamed. His smile faded, "I guess not. Goodbye Serena." He said, pulling the trigger.

I now feel pain like I never imagined. My love, Darien, the one I thought was the one I would spend the rest of my life with betrayed me, and went to my best friend who has helped me in battles against evil. Then, on top of all that, that best friend allows him to shoot me right where my heart lied; now shattered in pieces.

All I see now is the starry night of the sky. My world turns darker, darker, and darker…Darien.

(end of dream sequence)

"Darien!" I screamed, while I lie in a sitting position on my bed. I hugged myself, "It felt so real. Darien…I wish you were here right now." Covering my eyes, I cried for the rest of the night. Eventually, falling back asleep.
