Serena's step was slow as she made her way home from school. Her bag was in one hand, her test paper in the other. As usual, Serena had failed big time.

"Hey Serena!" Raye shouted from down the street.

"Oh no. I'd better hide this or Raye will chew me out," Serena mumbled to herself.

"Serena…..pant……I've been…..looking….all over…..for you. We are having a meeting at the temple tonight," Raye said as she tried to catch her breath.

"You could have just called and told me."

"Yeah I could have, but then I wouldn't have seen what you got on the test we all helped you study for….so…..how did you do?"

"…..fine…." Serena hung her head as she walked.

"Oh come on Serena it can't be that bad." Raye snatched the paper from Serena before she could stuff it in her bag.

"Serena! How could you fail when we were studying for weeks? Does nothing stay in that blonde head of yours?!" Raye was yelling, as Serena knew she would.

"But it was hard…"Serena whined.

"If you fail one more test you won't get into college…and you don't want to be left behind do you?"

"No…" Serena opened the door to the apartment she and Mina shared. They all eventually wanted to share a house when they went to college which was in less than a year.

"Hey Mina-chan I'm home!" Serena yelled as she took off her shoes and set her bag on the floor.

"Hey Serena…oh hi Raye," Mina said with a smile as she stuck her head out the kitchen door.

"Listen I gotta go to work, your supper is in the fridge and Rini is with Chibi-chibi at your mom's place." Mina was running around trying to get everything together while getting ready to go. "I'll try my very best to get to the meeting…bye Serena. See ya later Raye." Mina waved as she hurried out the door.

Serena walked to the kitchen and started rooting around in the fridge.

"Ohhh…….Mina made rice balls!" Serena squealed while pulling out the container and shoving a whole rice ball in her mouth. "You want one Raye?" she asked with a mouth full of rice.

"Serena don't talk with your mouth full, and look you're making a mess of the house after Mina spent all that time cleaning it up. Isn't there anything you can do right?!" Raye was yelling at her, one of her fists clenched so tight her knuckles turned white.

"Raye…you're so mean to me," Serena whined after she swallowed the food in her mouth.

"Well maybe if you would grow up.."

"I am grown up….you're just mean!" Serena wailed as she plopped down at the kitchen table. "You've always been mean…."

"Serena stop whining!"

"But you're mean!" Serena yelled between sobs.

Raye walked up to Serena and was going to slap her to shut her up but instead found herself in a deep passionate kiss, her arms wrapped around Serena's neck. Serena had stopped crying and was kissing her back until she pulled back in surprise, there was red on her cheeks. Neither one spoke, Raye was touching her own lips with her fingers.

"Serena I…I should go." Raye turned and hurried out the door.

"That was strange…but it seemed to feel right," Raye was thinking to herself as she walked home.

"Hey Raye!" Lita chimed as she walked up the temple stairs. Raye was sweeping the steps.

"Oh hey Lita, you just get off work?"

"Yeah it was kinda slow at the flower shop so I got off early. Uh where's Serena? Isn't she supposed to be here?" Lita asked as she looked down at her watch. Raye blushed when Lita mentioned Serena's name but Lita didn't notice.

"Serena could never be on time if she tried," Raye grumbled.

"Yeah I guess so." Sweatdrop.

"Huff…..huff….I'm….never…gonna…hea r the…end of it…when Raye…finds out…I'm late again!" Serena cried as she ran down the street still in her school uniform.

"Well maybe you would have been on time if you didn't eat all those rice balls," Luna commented as she ran at Serena's heels.

"Not you too Luna."

"I'm serious Serena, if you don't get your act together you're not going to get anywhere….Serena are you listening to me?!"

Serena had her fingers in her ears as she ran.

"Huff…..huff…..I….made…it…" Serena plopped down on the step beside Lita to catch her breath.

"It's about time you got here Serena," Raye said coldly.

"Hey at least I'm not the last one here."

"Mina has a good excuse, she's at work. You're probably late cause you polished off all those rice balls Mina made."

"Lay off Raye at least she's here," Lita said calmly trying to keep the peace.

"Hmph!" Raye turned her back on Serena, her arms folded across her chest. The kiss flashed in her mind and she blushed.

"Raye are we gonna start or wait for Mina to get here?….Uh Raye?" Lita looked puzzled when Raye didn't respond. "Hey Raye did you hear me?"

"Yeah. Ummmm…..lets wait for a few minutes to see if Mina shows up." With that, Raye rushed inside to hide her red face. Lita and Serena looked at each other in confusion.
