Darien jerks straight up in bed. He is sweating and breathing heavily. The blankets are all twisted around him. He had the dream again. He knew he had to do it, though it broke his heart. He knew he had to leave Serena, to protect her from the future. He would rather loose his heart then loose the light he found in Serena.

Once I rose above this noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion
I was soaring ever higher
But I flew too high

Serena lies across her bed, sobbing into her pillow, her heart shattered. Her boyfriend broke up with her, claiming not to love her anymore, even though they are soul mates and just found each other again.

'I can't believe he did this to me?!' Serena screamed in her head. 'It can't be real! It has to be an act. I know he still loves me. I just got him back and he pulls this crap? I know he still loves me. We are meant to be together, forever. What about Crystal Tokyo? What will happen to the future? I will win him back, I know I will.'

Darien tries not to think of what Serena looked like after he told her that they had to break up. It hurt him to hurt her. He wanted to rip his heart out at her pain, but he knew she would be better off without him. He was always dragging her down. Always teasing her, yelling at her, so careful not to touch her. He knew that if he could do it all over again or get a second chance, he would treat her the way she deserved to be treated. Like the princess she was. But he could never be with her again. He would be apart from his light forever, but at least it still shone.

Darien wakes in a sweat again. He had another dream, though this time, it wasn't the same ones he had had before. These were different and worse. It showed Serena Pregnant and glowing, rounded with another man's child in her belly. She cradled a protective hand against her belly and looked down on it, smiling the most beautiful smile imaginable. The light of love was in her gaze. Suddenly, she turned to a man. He was fuzzy and hard to make out. She smiled big and waved her other hand, calling out Mamo-chan. The man called out to her, calling her Usako. She ran to meet the man and they embraced. That's when Darien wakes up.

Darien sees Serena the next day. He remembers the latest dream and turns a cold shoulder to her. Though he dumped her, he already felt the pain of being replaced. It helped him keep up the façade of him not loving her anymore. Inside his heart breaks even more by her pleading. He turns a deaf ear to her, ignoring her totally. He walks away before she even has a chance to finish what she was saying.

Serena stares after Darien, her mouth open in surprise and hurt that in the middle of her saying that she loved him he walked away. She crumples to the sidewalk and sobs. She cries her eyes out, finally realizing that it is true that he doesn't love her anymore. She walks for the park and goes to the lake. She goes to the end of the dock and puts her foot out to walk over the edge.

Suddenly, he gets a flash. He hears the voice from his dream. It is saying that he can be with Serena. The dreams were a way for Darien to realize how much he loved her and he needed to know that before he lost her forever. Then he feels that Serena is very near Danger. He rushes to where he feels her. He gets there just in time to see her walk off the dock. He jumps in and searches for her in the murky waters.

He can't see her. Then he sees a flash of gold and realizes that it is her hair. He dives into the water and follows the hair to where she is. He pulls her up to the surface. He can see that she is passed out and wasn't breathing. His heart stops but then he remembered what to do in this situation. He did C.P.R. After a bit, she started to cough up water. 'She's alive! My Angel is still with me! It's not too late.' Darien thoughts screamed in his head.

After explaining about what he did, Serena forgave him. Since then, Darien treated her like a Queen. She wanted for nothing. He didn't do anything to make her doubt his love. He was finally the soul mate he should have been from the beginning.

Hey Everyone. I know I am supposed to work on Laby Moon, but I have no inspiration for that right now. I was writing down lyrics to my favorite songs and the story for this one popped in my head. What's funny is that my friends and I had already dubbed this song for another anime, but I figured how to make it work for Sailor Moon. I hope everyone likes it. Oh, I have a game for everyone. Email me who you think is talking in the story. I have an idea, but if yours is better, I will update this fic and post that person's name and what not. I just think it would be real fun to do.
