Circles of Fate

Chapter One: Broken Promise

~ You promise never to leave me

Yet, you told me a lie once more ~

She stared into his sapphire blue eyes, fury shot through those of hers. It doesn't matter how long it has been, she will forever more hate him for what he did to her, even if it was in their past life. The pain that he inflicted in her naive heart will always be within her soul. "I hate you." She muttered under her breath as she glared at him. He smiles at her despised the words she shot out at him. "I know you do, my fury princess." "Don't you ever call me that!" She snarled.

~ And for that, I will always hate you

My heart is far from forgiving ~

He lifts her chin up and she jerked away from him. His touch sent shivered down her spin. She hated him with any passion that a woman could hold inside of herself. "Don't touch me!" She snapped. But all the blond man could do was laugh in amusement. He couldn't help but fall in love with his princess all over again. That was made him love her, was her the fury inside her eyes. Even though they were born into enemy, he will never forget the love he had for her in there past life. Till this lifetime, he regretted dearly forever betraying her trust and their bond that they form, to be together till the end of time. But it seem fate has it's own twisted game to play.

* The pain I cause you maybe unbearable

But couldn't you reconsider and give our love another chance? *

"You know I still love you." He whispered in her ears. She closed her eyes trying to drown out his voice. She will not let herself fall in love with his charm all over again. If she did, the outcome will still probably be the same. And why should she, this time he was now her enemy! She look up into his piercing blue eyes, those eyes could look through her soul, read her like an open book. "Of course I know that." She replied, "But I don't love you back!" She shouts with venom and pull away from his warm chest.

~ Unbearable true, how do you expect me too easily forgiven you?

But you do not know how much the pain affects a woman hearts ~

He looks at her with surprise and shock in his eyes, but recover back into his state of calmness. "If you insist on being stubborn then I will pursue like I did last time." She turns away from his loving gaze. If she didn't she would easily give into him. "But you forgot one important factors." She told him. "Oh! And what may that be?" She turns to face him. No emotions portray in her eyes. "This time we're enemy till the death. And one of us will bond to kill the others." She stated. He smiles at his princess. "Yes, but it will make it more interesting, just like the famous Shakespeare play, Romeo and Juliet." She laughs a silent laugh. "But the two lovers end up dead." He moves her purple black hair from her eyes. "It does not matter, at least I will die in the arm of the woman I love." She smirked, "What if you die by the hand of your love." He shook his head. "It still does not matter. I will still be happy."

* I have already known by just looking into your eyes

And there I see the pain I cause to your heart *

"Then you are foolish." He took a step closer to her. He could hear the pounding of hers and his heart, as if they were once in the same. "Yes, foolishly in love with my fury princess." She took a step back. "Did I not just tell you never to call me that." He smiles sadly at her. "You easily erase the sweet memory we had together once." He stated, "Don't you remember those time we had together?" "Don't you mean memory of sweet pain." Her eyes twinkled as the star shimmer in them. "And how could I forget those times. It was one of the..." She let her sentence trailed as she heard herself talk. "But those are all the past." "Yes and so was my leaving you." She sighs, "Yes, but a woman heart doesn't forget so easily. And by the way we are enemy." Hope lit in his eyes, "So that means we have a chance." He asked. "Do not get too cocky. You will still be the man whom I hate better yet despised the most in my life." She answered him.

* I know that whatever I do, I cannot take away your pain

But at least give me a try *

He sighs heavily. What could he do to convince this woman that it was a mistake he made so long ago. Doesn't she know that's he's only human just like everyone else. "You will never forgive me I see." He turns away. "But no matter what, I will still love you." He whispered so only he himself will hear. She stood there dumbfounded. She didn't know what to do, should she go after him? "Wait!" Why did she just shout that out? He turn around, his wavy blond hair whirled around. He faces her forlornly. "Yes?" All she could do was stand there. What should she say to him? "I---um--umm---nothing." For once his princess was lost for word. He turns to face her. It was ironic how the feelings between them all seem so angst and the day were dark and gloomily, just like the feeling.

~ Give you a try?

The real question is, am I willing to give you my trust again? ~

"My princess for once is lost for words." He tried to lighten the mode up. But only to his dismay it didn't help much. "Tell me, why did you leave that day and join the force of evil?" She questions. Should he tell her? Would she believe him? "Even if I did tell you, you would never believe me." Tears were threatened to come down her eyes, but forcefully she held it back. "If you won't tell me that, then you have to at least answer this." She paused, "Why did you made a promise that you never intended to keep." He grips her shoulder. "Believe me, I never thought that I had to break my promise. That very day when I asked you meet me in our secret spot, I wanted..." She cut him off, "But you never come!" She shirked pulling away from him. "You left me their wondering and worrying about your safety!" Tears came trembling down her eyes. She was grateful that it was a moonless night, for he couldn't see her tears. All of sudden be bent down on one knee and spun her around. "I wanted to give you this." He brought out an ember gold ring, with ivy crave into it and grave inside were their name inside a burning fire.

* So will you?

And if you do, I will forever hold that trust within my heart for eternality *

"I wanted to give you this." He whispered. Instead of a surprise reaction much less happy one, he got a slap across the face. "How could you do this?" He looks at her in confusion. "Do you strive to see me in pain?" Tears rush down the side of her eyes. "Do you know how long it took me just to get over you? And then all of sudden you pop out of nowhere, pretend to be you love me, yet all you do is cause me pain." She cried. "And to make matter worse you are my enemy an enemy to me and my friend." She laughs hysterically. "Is this one of your masterful plan? It has to be. Now I truly know why they call you the King of Illusion!" He got up dumbfounded but her reaction.

~ You said that once before,

Do you honestly think that I will easily fall for your sweet words again? ~

He forces his energy to form a golden chine with a tint of red, he then slip the rings threw and place it around her neck. "I have no use for this ring yet I could not bare to through it out to the open sea." He explained to her his action. She reminds silent. "Please keep it by your heart always." And there he disappears. 'Forever we are bond.' The wind howled in her ears.

* And I answer your question with a simple whispered,

No... *

She stood there in her exact same spot, touching the beautiful golden ring. 'I represent my love with a circle, not a heart, a heart could always be broken, yet a circle continues on for eternity.' The wind whisper in her ears, "Yes, but a circle could easily be broken by the hand of fate." She whispered to herself no one in particular.
