I lay on my bed with my eyes open. I turn to look at her. There she
is lying near me; her gold hair spread on the pillow like a
waterfall of small curls, her eyes sweetly shut as she smiles to her
sleep. Usagi my love, you cannot imagine how angelic you look right
now. You do not suspect the impact you have on me, not only now but
every time I lay my eyes on the two lakes you have for eyes.


I gaze outside our bedroom's window and look at the moon. How bright
is it tonight. The moonlight enters through the window panel and
falls on our daughter's cradle. I stare at it for a while and then
unconsciously I feel myself leaving the bed.


I reach the cradle and look insight. I look at my newborn daughter.
My little cherub sleeps sucking her thumb. She has a bit of
fluff on the top of her head. And it is pink.


The baby opens its eyes and gives a little yawn. Her fairy eyes
stare at me. I wonder if she is going to cry. Then she gifts me
with her first toothless smile. I want to fly from joy. I take
her into my arms and sit on the nearby chair.


"Hi munchkin. Do you remember me from the hospital?" I ask her.

She gives a sound that resembles a yes. A goofy smile appears on
my face. I can imagine my co-workers amazement if they ever see
me in this state. They will never believe it.


"Yes! Of course you remember daddy." I add as I rub my nose on
hers.


"Know what?" I start without controlling myself. "I have met you
before. Yes I did. And you were the most energetic child I have
met in my entire life. But I could never imagine that one day I
was going to hold you as an infant. I thought I will never have a
real family ever again"


I feel my eyes watering. The last time I felt this emotional
rampage was the day after the battle with Galaxia. I cried on
Usagi's shoulders that day. I look down on my baby girl and I
wonder if I will be a good father.



Suddenly two arms hug me and I hear my wife whispering in my ear.


"Mamo-chan I see that you have met Chibi-Usa better. How do you
feel?"


As I gaze into my wife's eyes and then to my daughter's face I can
hear my whole being saying:


"Completed."
