Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ Crucify my love ❯ A price to pay ( Prologue )
[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Crucify my love
If my love is blind
Cruify my love
If it sets me free
Never know Never trust
" That love should see a color "
Crucify my love
If it should be that way
Swing the heartache
Feel it inside out
When the wind cries
I'll say good-by
Tried to learn tried to find
To reach out for eternity
Where's the answer
Is this forever
Like a river flowing to the sea
You'll be miles away and I will know
I know I can deal with the pain
No reason to cry
Crucify my love
Til the loneliness shadows the sky
I'll be sailing down and I will know
I know I can clear clouds away
Oh is it a crime to love

Thunder began to rumble; the dark, gray clouds over shadowed the white, fluffy looking ones. The sun hid from earth, seek refuge on the once crystal blue sky. The winds became heavy and hard. They were like angered fairies that wish to punish the mortals for their unjust doings. Leaves and the petals of the infamous Sakura scattered all over, making them evident everywhere.
It was in the middle of summer, a supposedly warm time, but now, it seemed that storm was about to be their guest for the time being. And it seemed to fit the moods of the two young lovers who were about to do something that will forever scar their lives.
He knew that the sky was grieving along with him, after all, he was the head of all Gods and Goddesses, therefore, he had control, and he knew that the sky shared his sentiments.
He stared at the pale blue eyes of the woman he so loved, even though if their love will last for only a short time. He stroked the silver locks of his young wife who held an angelic baby girl with cerulean eyes that seemed to sparkle like diamonds.
His wife looked up to him with a faint smile playing upon her lips. She knew what was to come; she knows their mistake and what must be done.
"We have to let her go." He whispered in his wife's ears, his voice filled with deep sadness and longing.
His wife sighed, reluctant to do what she must. "Hai, I know. I just wish I will be the one to see her grow up." She said, caressing the child smooth skin.
"We better hurry up or else they'll kill her as well." He began; his wife's eyes began to be filled with tears that she suppressed. "Daijoubu." He assured her, placing a hand on her shoulders. "I have entrusted Endymion to watch after her, after all, he is just four years older than her in human form."
His wife still didn't have the trust. But she knew that if she kept the child, the child shall die. Tears flowed from her eyes as the child stared at her sadly, as if knowing what her mother was going through.
"Serenity-chan, daijoubu desu yo. You'll be in safe hands now. They'll take care of you, I promise. Someday, you'll know the truth, but right now, I don't think you should." She breathed in deeply and smiled again.
Her husband soon joined them. Staring at his only child, he wished he was like everyone else, able to love whom he wished. "Sayonara Serenity-chan, but I promise you that no harm will come to you. Be safe… always."
His wife's lips were trembling. She placed the child down on the basket along with the notes filled with instruction for her new parents. She backed away and stared at the door of the Tsukino. Both bowed in hopes that they'll treat her like their own.
The little child cried when she couldn't feel the warmth of her mother that gave her protection. A silhouette of a woman appeared as the light flickered open. The woman opened the door and looked sideways. She looked down to see a crying little angel. Her face filled with surprise and shock.
"Kenji, come quick!" She screamed, summoning her husband. "Look, a aka-chan." She said, pointing at the screaming little one.
Kenji stared dumbfounded at the little heaven sent. "How could anyone just leave their child? She's is so kirei."
His wife, Ikoku, picked up the child and found a piece of paper with her. She read the letter and looked up at the heavens. "We will take good care of her, we promise."
Kenji became curious at his wife's words. "What does it say?" He asked.
Ikoku shook her head. "Nothing, just promise me that you will love this child like our own." She said and he nodded, getting the child from her.
Kenji threw the child up and began playing with her while she squealed in delight. He and Ikoku still didn't have a child, and maybe this was the will of the Gods that they find this child.
"She's like a rabbit, ne Kenji?" Ikoku said, staring at the giggling little one. "Why don't we name her that?" She asked in a solemn voice while rocking the baby in her arms, putting her to sleep.
"Lets." Was all Kenji said, staring contentedly at his wife and new found daughter.
Meanwhile, at Serenity's residence, she was sitting on her rocking chair while knitting, like she always did. She awaited her punishment, for she knew that she deserved it, but not her daughter.
She could sense it, the warrior of death. She was near. She smiled and placed her knitting down on a circular wooden table. "I know you are here Hotaru-san, shi no senshi. I know what I have done and I will pay for it."
Hotaru lowered her head at what she must do. "I have no choice Serenity-sama. You leave me no options, and I did not decided upon it, but the council and I must obey it."
"Wakkatemasu yo."
And with that, Hotaru brought her scythe down and began to administer the punishment she doesn't not wish to bestow. "Gomen nasai, Serenity-sama." She whispered as a tear tickled down her cheek as she lowered her head.
Meanwhile, Serenity's husband kneeled on the floor, feeling helpless, knowing that his wife already faced death. "Serenity. Gomen, gomen nasai." He said as he wept for his mistake. He gripped the tears stained-carpet of his floor and began to weep uncontrollably.
"DOUSHITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
