Neflite waited at the designated table. He couldn't sit still. Makoto wasn't there yet. Mamoru had said that she was right behind them and that had been ten minutes ago. He got up, ignoring the stares a few of the others were giving him. The girls, the Inner Senshi, thought he was a lunatic, that he was wasting his time. He didn't care if he was wasting time. Sure he'd have to kill himself when the Tri Prince showed up, but he'd deal with that later. He was so focused on finding Makoto he didn't watch where he was going and ran right smack into her.

"Oh, I'm so…" he had just gotten a good look at her, "Sorry…" He couldn't think. She was so beautiful, he touched her cheek caressing it without even realizing he was doing it. She took his breath away. She stared at him hesitantly.

"Good evening, Neflite."

"Good evening Makoto, you look exquisite."

She blushed and smiled. Did I do that, he thought. "Thank you. You look very dashing yourself."

He grinned, he felt dashing, and more importantly, he felt daring. He pulled Makoto into an empty hallway, gently pushing her against the wall. He stared into her emerald eyes before leaning in and kissing her passionately.

Makoto had gotten stuck in traffic and had walked in to the banquet hall a few minutes late. She had promptly run into Neflite who looked like his world was about to end if he didn't find whatever it was he was looking for. He had gotten two words out before he was rendered helpless, like Mamoru had been. Makoto found that she was pleased that Neflite liked the way she looked and blushed when he complimented her. He looks pretty good himself, she thought. The red really set off his eyes. He pulled her into a nearby hallway that was devoid of anybody. His eyes burned with a heat that had scared her before, but now, it wasn't as scary, almost a challenge. Then, he kissed her. Not some weak ass peck on the lips, but a full blown kiss. She could feel his tongue exploring her mouth, tasting her. She responded in kind, her arms encircling his neck. His hands went to her waist, then gripped her bottom, picking her up slightly and so that her legs were around him. She was amazed at what she was feeling and even more amazing was that she wasn't scared of him. He had been burned by her the first time, but hadn't let rejection (or a punch in the stomach) scare him away. He was astonishing, his warmth, his strength, everything about him pulled at her. He turned so that now he was the one pinned to the wall and she was the one on top. She could feel his arousal, feel the heat of her own excitement begging to her. It was he who broke away.

Neflite was very tempted to take her then and there, but he didn't want it to be like this. Sure he liked it, but it wasn't what he wanted it to be like. He broke the kiss, gasping for air. Her passion was undeniable and unfortunately so was his. He was embarrassed that she was pressed up against his erection and he couldn't do anything about it.

"Mako, something is happening to us. I barely met you less than two weeks ago and I know I'm in love with you. I need to know…if you feel the same about me, even if it is in the smallest degree."

"Neflite, I…I don't know what to tell you. I don't know if I'm in love with you or if I ever will be. I do have an attraction to you…" One look told her that wasn't what he wanted to hear. He pulled away from her, making himself very aware of the bulge at the front of his pants. He ran to the men's' room and hid in a stall until his libido had calmed down.

Makoto watched him leave, feeling an emptiness, a feeling of dread, grow in her heart. "Neflite…"

"Oh my god, you are not going to believe this!" Minako had come back from the ladies' room in a more hyper mood than before. She looked steamed. "That bastard Neflite was groping Mako-chan in the hallway across from the restrooms. In front of EVERYBODY!"

Kunzite looked at his girlfriend in amusement before looking over to Mamoru and the others. Neflite wasn't going to go slow.

By the time Neflite was able to return to his seat, the second speaker was already at the podium. The girls from the inner circle kept throwing him dirty looks, except for Usagi and Makoto. Usagi kept giving him the thumbs up sign whenever the others weren't looking and Makoto kept her eyes glued to the table. She just didn't look at anyone. Kunzite wiggled his eyebrows when Minako wasn't looking and Jadeite and Zoicite kept laughing at him behind their hands. Mamoru wasn't there; he had to be up in front with the speakers for now. The Outers simply stayed indifferent. Neflite listened to the speaker, but played with an emerald clip he had found on stuck in his hair. It probably belonged to Makoto and had gotten lodged in his hair when they had been kissing. He wanted to return it to her, but decided that after the banquet would be a better time than now.

The lights flickered and then went out. A scream and an evil laugh were heard before the light came back on. The room was surrounded by those sand things again and some new creatures too. Fire creatures, water creatures and electric creatures were among them. Chaos erupted and everyone panicked, scrambling to get out. Only the Senshi, the Knights and Neflite stayed calm. No one was paying any attention to them.

"Mars Crystal Power!"

"Mercury Crystal Power!"

"Venus Crystal Power!"

"Moon Eternal Power!"

"Earth Power!"

"Heart-earth Power!"

"Ice-earth Power!"

"Flame-earth Power!"

"MAKE UP!"

"Our turn now," said Haruka.

"Uranus Crystal Power!"
"Neptune Crystal Power!"

"Pluto Crystal Power!"

"Saturn Crystal Power!

"MAKE-UP!"

Four Knights and eight Senshi stood before the enemy. A split second passed and the fighting began.

Mars wasn't holding up so well, her flames had no effect on the electric things. Tuxedo Heart wasn't doing that great against them either. His psy-blasts only pushed them away, it didn't hurt them. Venus had better luck. Her whips of love caught the damn things and allowed her to slam them into the walls and floors at great speeds. The Outer Senshi fought together against the sandmen with Mercury. Mars accidentally missed her target and hit one of the sand men, turning him to glass. She abandoned the electric foes and went up against the sandmen. Venus did not ignore this new development.

"Minna! Follow Mars's example! Work against their weaknesses! Water against fire, Earth against electricity, Ice against the water! We can win this!"

Neptune moved against the fire Yuma. "Deep Submerge!" Half of the fire Yuma went up in smoke, screeching in protest.

Mars turned more sand men into glass after which Uranus and Venus would smash them to pieces. "Burning Mandela!" "World Shaking!" "Love Me Chain!" More screeching accompanied by shattering.

Mercury froze the water Yuma, and Tuxedo Flame and Mask vaporized them. "Shabon Freezing!" "Fire Circle!" "Smoking Bomber!"

Tuxedo Ice and Heart exterminated the electric Yuma. "Sakura Blaster!" "Meditation Annihilation!"

Moon, Saturn and Pluto helped out where they could. "Silver Crystal Therapy Kiss!" "Silent Wall!" "Detto Scream!"

The remaining Yuma knew they were in trouble. They made retreat to the center of the room, with the Senshi and Knights surrounding them. A figure blipped above them, He was in the shadows and could not be recognized. "Yuma, TRANSFORM YOURSELVES!!"

The Yuma were encircled by black energy lightning, the very air crackled with evil. A blast of darkness and a giant creature was revealed, towering above the soldiers.

"Oh my god…" was the general response.

Two small creatures, one black and one white, dashed into the room. It was two cats. The white one held something in his mouth. Moon and Venus each caught a cat in their arms.

"Luna!"

"Artemis! Where have you guys been this past week??"

"No time now. Sailor Senshi, hold off the beast." The Senshi nodded and went to fight the Mega Yuma. "Tuxedo Knights, where is the Tri Prince?" said Luna.

Tuxedo Heart pointed to Neflite. "He had proven himself three times over. He is the one."

"What are you talking about?" Neflite asked in confusion.

"Quickly, take this ring," Luna said motioning to Artemis, "And yell out `Thunder-Earth Power!' "

Neflite took the ring and placed it on his right ring finger. He looked to the Tuxedo Knights who smiled at him in encouragement. He closed his eyes tight, lifted his hand into the air and said, "Thunder-Earth Power."
