Darkest before Dawn

Taiki sat up, sweat and tears mingling on her face. "Not again..." She looked down at the form beside her. Ami lay gently sleeping oblivious to the starlight's troubles. Taiki gazed at her lover, hoping her serene face would erase the remains of the nightmare.

"What have I done to deserve you my Mizu no Tenshi?" The senshi of Mercury took this moment to awaken. "You were just yourself. That was more than enough." The blue haired girl studied her friend and lover's face. "What is troubling you Tai-chan?" Ami asked putting her hand to Taiki's brow. Wanting to appear strong in her lover's presence, Taiki evaded her lover's touch. Ami frowned at the starlight's response. "Tai-chan, talk to me." The blue haired girl pleaded. Ami slipped from under the satin sheets to straddle Taiki's legs. The added pressure on her legs made her looked up.

Taiki gasped when she looked at her lover's slender form. Ami's lack of clothes reminded her of the conclusion their study session. "Taiki...onegai?" Hearing the pleading in her lover's voice made Taiki meet the azure eyes. "It's just..." Taiki paused, afraid to continue. "Just what?" Ami tried to coax her lover into speaking. Taiki looked up to the ceiling, trying to gain some semblance of control over her wayward emotions. "I keep having dreams about...losing you." Aware of Ami's soothing hands on her shoulders, tears started to run down Taiki's face in earnest. "I watched you die when Galaxia attacked. I lost you before I could ever tell you how I felt, I needed to tell you ... how much you meant to me." Ami remained silent, for fear Taiki would stop talking. "When Galaxia was defeated, I left a coward. Too afraid of rejection to tell you. Demo, when we came back you accepted me, loved me even after the way I treated you. I... I don't understand why..." Taiki sobbed out.

Ami gently placed her fingers on the Starlight's lips. "Shh... my love." Ami pulled her lover against her in a hug. "I knew. Deep down I could feel that you were the one. I love you for who you were then, and for who you are now... the woman of my dreams. I promise you Taiki, I will always be at your side."

The brunette pulled away, her face a stoic mask. "I don't deserve you. Why would you want an emotional fool like me? You could have any man or woman you wanted..." Taiki replied her tone losing emotion. Ami's eyes flashed anger for a moment, before she responded. "Do you really believe that I could ever desire... need another?" She gently guided Taiki's face, until their eyes met. "You are the only for me Taiki Kou. Everything I've never known, but have always wanted is right in front of me. Don't let a bad dream tell you otherwise." Taiki's defenses crumbled and she broke unto tears again, the sobs racking her body. "Angel... Onegai, I need you..." Ami leaned forward and gently kissed her face, drinking away the tears. As her kisses inched lower, Taiki turned her head so that their lips met.

The kiss was passionate and searing. Ami felt Taiki's longing, she needed to know where she stood. Only Ami's touch could reassure her. Tear's long forgotten, Taiki rolled the senshi of mercury over, so that she was on top. She sighed when Ami opened her legs, to allow her to slide in-between. "My Angel..." She breathed before their lips met a second time. Taiki let her hands roam on the blue haired girl's body.

Not wanting to assume a passive role in their lovemaking, Ami undid the hairtie at her love's neck. She gently speared one hand through the brown tresses, while her other hand massaged Taiki's back. Ami moaned as her lover's hands traced invisible trails of passion on her breasts. She deepened the kiss, probing Taiki's mouth, urging her on. Taiki echoed her lover's response, pleased at Ami's reactions. Ami gasped when her lover broke their kiss and began to turn her attention lower.

Taiki took Ami's left breast into her wet, hot mouth, flicking her tongue over a hardened nipple. The starlight bit down slightly, tearing moans of pleasure from her lover. "Ohh... Tai-chan... harder. the brunette starlight was only too happy to oblige. Taiki suckled her lover while using her hand to stimulate the other breast. Quickly she switched to the other breast and repeated her actions. Ami shuddered in delight, as her hands went to her love's head, tangling her fingers in the silken chestnut locks. Ami bucked against her lover, the flames of her passion could no longer be denied. The only thing that could appease the inferno that threatened to consume her was the tongue of her beloved. "Lower... Tai-chan..." The mizu no senshi murmured in heated desire as she tried to guide her lover where she was needed most.

Taiki kissed and nuzzled Ami's stomach, guided by her lover's sighs and moans. As she inched slowly lower, Taiki smiled at her angel's quickened breathing. "Ohh... Tai-chan! Onegai... don't tease me!" Taiki smiled keeping the same maddening pace. "But I'm not sure what you want, my angel. You'll have to tell me..." The starlight whispered hotly against Ami's skin. Ami shook her head in apparent frustration, as a shudder coursed through her. "I don't know what I... what I want." Ami panted in obvious torment. Taiki eased down further until she came in contact with blue curls, slightly darker than those on her lover's head, and damp with desire. "I think I know what you want..." The starlight teased.

"Damnit Taiki onegai!" Ami yelled in frustration.

"Onegai..." Ami pleaded. "I need you so much... Onegai." Taiki felt a warmth spread through her upon hearing her love's voice. To hear Ami's voice so husky with love and desire was almost too much for the starlight. "Anything... My love, for you I'd move mountains." Taiki whispered before parting the sweet petals of her Angel's desire. The brunette closed her eyes as the musky scent of her love's arousal assaulted her senses. Opening lavender eyes clouded with desire, Taiki looked up and caught her lover's passion filled gaze. Keeping their eyes locked Taiki delved into her lover's center. No nectar, wine or honey could have matched the sweet ambrosia that was Ami. "Oh yes... Tai-chan..." Ami bucked into her lover's mouth as the brunette did delicious things with her wonderful tongue.

A low moan escaped the Mizu no senshi's mouth as Taiki dipped into her center with long fingers. "Hai my love, come for me..." Taiki murmured against her love's skin. "Tai-chan!" Ami cried out as her body was thrown into a sea of pleasure. Taiki wasn't satisfied however, she needed to hear Ami a second time. Pumping her fingers faster within her lover, Taiki fastened her lips onto Ami's swollen pearl. "Ohh Yess..." The senshi of water hissed in pleasure, her hips rotating in time with her love's tongue. Ami could feel it. A bolt of white hot passion seared through her being, and she felt her control slipping... "Taiki! Aishiteru!" The blue haired woman cried out as she crashed back down to the bed. She barely felt it as Taiki pulled out and crawled up beside her.

The brunette starlight gathered her spent lover into her arms, gently smoothing sweat slicked bangs. She looked upon Ami's limp, sweat covered form, the sex-sated look smoldering in her love's half lidded indigo eyes. Taiki never thought she looked more beautiful. A wry smile touched her lips. 'And I am the one. The one she loves.' She relaxed her hold as her lover stirred gently.

Ami looked up at her lover... her beautiful lover who had just sent her soaring, and smiled. "Welcome back from Mercury." Taiki's distinctive alto voice murmured. The blue haired senshi just smiled. Suddenly furrowing her brows together Ami shook her head as if remembering something. "Oh Tai-chan! Gomen... I didn't..." Taiki silenced her love with a kiss. "Don't... I just want... I need to hold you in my arms Ami. That's all I need." The brunette smiled serenely at her lover. "Demo..." Ami was cut off again by her love. "Angel, you don't have to touch me to make love to me. When I look into your beautiful Aegean eyes, I feel something as strong as a physical bond with you. You are my light. Without you I have no purpose. Teen Idol, sailor senshi, princess of New Maker... none of that matters to me. As long as I am the woman you love." Taiki paused looking into those sapphire orbs she loved so much. Praying that Ami could see the love she felt for her.

Ami looked at her love with tear-filled eyes. Placing a gentle hand on Taiki's face, she smiled as her love leaned into her touch. "I never truly understood what love was until I met you Tai-chan. My parents loved each other, they still do but it wasn't enough. For a long time I lost faith in love, it was a wonderful miracle that never happened to ordinary people like me. Demo, when I met you I was bestowed that miracle. You say I'm your angel, don't you know you're mine as well?" She pulled the starlight closer, kissing her softly. "Aishiteru, koibito." The Mercurian whispered. Not being able to fight sleep any longer, she snuggled against her brunette pillow.

Taiki held Ami long after she drifted off, tracing patterns on her slender back. She buried her face into her love's hair, inhaling it's calming scent, as her salty tears saturated the blue locks. "And I will always love you Angel. Never again will I doubt your love." The starlight vowed. Pulling the sheet higher over their forms the starlight slipped into much needed sleep.

And tonight she dreamed sweet dreams of the blue-haired angel that saved her soul, and gave her the gift of love.
