Darkness Is The Only Light

Story Notes: Welcome to Book 2 out of 4. This is the continuation of the story As Dark As Dark Can Get. If you have not read that story then I suggest that you do or you will get lost. Also we'll have some new people coming in so get ready for the romance.
"I don't imagine the world getting any better" said Siena. "Do you think they even paid any attention to the dream?" asked Ami. "They'll betray her in real life this time and forgiveness will not come easy" replied Siena. "I don't even believe that they are worthy to protect her" said Ami. "She must let them go" said a new voice. It was Mina. "I thought she already had" said Siena. "It may seem that way but your sister hides her emotions so well that sometimes I can't even pick up on them" said Mina. "I'm worried about her" said Ami. "Yes, but the only one that can help her is herself" said Mina. "I think you're right" said Siena.
Serena looked at the moon as she sat against a tree. "What am I going to do?" she whispered to herself. "There is nothing you can do my love" said a masculine voice. Serena looked up to find Andrew gazing into the moon. "Must this vicious cycle repeat itself?" asked Serena. Andrew sat next to Serena and kissed her on her lips. "Old ends mean new beginnings" replied Andrew. "All these emotions are making me weak" spat Serena. "Serenity you are the embodiment of love and not even being the daughter of Lucifer can stop that" said Andrew. Serena let out a sigh and laid her head on Andrew's shoulder. Andrew wrapped his arm around Serena and pulled her closer to him. "I will not allow our kingdom to fall" said Serena. "Neither will I" replied Andrew.
The Underworld:
Zack gazed into a pool with a reflection of a certain blue-haired beauty. Zack's blood began to boil and in his anger he smashed the reflection away. Water splashed all over the floor and soaked the newcomer. "You'll get to see her soon, just stop taking out your anger on my clothes" said Kevin as he tried his best to wipe off his shirt. "She should be here beneath me, not out there!" shouted Zack. "No one is stopping you from going to the surface" said Kevin. "I know" said Zack quietly. Kevin let out a sigh. "Just go to her" said Kevin before he disappeared.
"Will the guardians love ever be requited?" asked Lucifer. "In their past lives they were betrayed, maybe in this one they can be together" said Queen Serenity. "Do you believe that yourself?" asked Lucifer. "You and I both know the prophecy set before our children and that's what I fear" said Queen Serenity. "They're strong, they will get through this" said Lucifer. "I hope so" said Queen Serenity.
The Surface:
Ami turned off the living room lights and headed upstairs. "It's so odd" she thought. "Being here on the surface, it's not at all like home". Ami sighed and walked into her room. Her mother was working late tonight and she had the house to herself. "Who am I?" thought Ami. The moonlight poured through the half open curtains and Ami let out a scream as her wings came bursting out of her back. The blue tinted bat-like wings glowed slightly as her hair changed to a darker shade of blue. Her red eyes glowed in the darkness and her senses grew to great proportions. "I know you're there, you never could sneak up very well" said Ami to the darkness. Zack stepped through the doorway and sucked his teeth. "Why have you even come to see me? I betrayed you" said Ami. "I know this" replied Zack. "What? Have you come to seek revenge? Mock me? What?" asked Ami. If he was playing a game she was not about to become his pawn. "After all this time, do you actually think that I have lost my love for you?" said Zack. "Can you honestly say that you're not hurt? That things will go back to the way they use to?" asked Ami. "No, but we can start anew" said Zack. "What if I don't want to start anew?" asked Ami. "I'll hunt you down until you submit" replied Zack. "Then I say no" said Ami. Zack eyes glowed red. "Then let the hunting begin" he replied.
Darien's Apartment:
Darien's bolted out of bed as a scream pierced the night air. "It was just a dream" murmured Darien as he got out of bed. The dream he had felt so vivid and so real. "Why Andrew?" thought Darien to himself. Darien went to the refrigerator and poured himself a glass of milk. "Serena still loves me" thought Darien. "Are you coming back to bed?" asked a feminine voice. "Yeah Sets, I'll be there soon" said Darien. Setsuna looked him for a moment before disappearing into the bedroom. "If its one thing I have learned dreams mean nothing" said Darien before he too disappeared into the bedroom. What he didn't know was that even the smallest of dreams mean something.
Rei's Temple:
Both Rei and Lita awoke from the dream at the same time. "Did you have a bad dream?" asked Rei. Lita nodded her head yes. Lita had spent the night at Rei's temple for a sleepover. "Maybe it was all that ice cream we ate or something" said Rei. "Maybe" murmured Lita. Both were too scared to go back to sleep.
