Author's Note: Okay this is part of my epic. Why do I call it my epic? It has possessed me to write it. Taken over if you will. I have been muttering about this to some of you and well, the first part is done. So far there are four parts to it. I would like to thank Kiss This for supporting me and lighting a fire under my procrastinating self when I would ease off too much. Thank you sweetie!

The final battle with Galaxia had not gone as the scouts had hoped it would. They had not counted on Mamoru coming back only to turn on them and repeatedly try to kill Usagi. They hadn't counted on Usagi vanishing off the face of the earth and thereby taking Sailor Moon with her. They certainly had not counted on being trapped in a cage in Galaxia's throne room with nothing to do about it except wait to die…

"Setsuna? Oh wise Keeper of Time? Di you by any chance happen to see THIS in your Gate of Time?" snapped Rei as she paced in the cage. The fiery Sailor Mars did not do well trapped in enclosed spaces when her temper was short.

"Yes Rei I did. I thought it would be hilarious to sacrifice the planet and the future and get us all stuck in a cage like some freakish exhibit at a street fair. So I led us into a trap. Use that brain of yours a little Mars!" Setsuna snapped back, her evergreen hair swirling angrily around her as she turned to glare at Rei.

"You two are getting nothing done by screaming at each other." Muttered Taiki with a resigned sigh.

The Starlights were in the same cage as the rest of the Senshi. But they had keep to themselves in their own little corner. They had been through so much in the last two hours. The princess they had come here to find was killed trying to protect them. They had been the first to fight Galaxia and were badly injured. Bleeding and bruised they still were not broken. Seiya's midnight blue eyes seemed to be closed off to the world as she stared sightlessly out in front of her. Her mind kept replying the death of her queen. Yaten was pacing her cat green eyes wild and full of pain. And Taiki, her eyes held the painful knowledge that all was changed forever. But they also held the fear of not knowing what was to come next.

"Damn that Mamo-baka! After all he has put her through since they got together you would think he would have given her enough hell for one lifetime. But to turn on her like this? Kami only knows what happened to her." Makoto muttered sliding down the wall to sit hard on the ground. Her rich chestnut hair now limp with sweat and whatever else had decided to fall in, her eyes tired and full of worry.

"Horrible treatment? Care to elaborate on that Jupiter? Everything I know about them leads one to think that it is the perfect relationship." Snapped Setsuna with a growl.

"The cheating, mental abuse, constantly having to be saved because he gets brainwashed, and constantly holding it over her head that if they do not stay together there will be no Chibi-Usa. Usagi loves all of us enough to give us Crystal Tokyo. After all, why give up everyone else's' paradise when all you have to do is sacrifice your own?" Minako said with a disdainful toss of her blonde hair, "And why do you not know all of this? Because she thought you wouldn't care if she did tell you. What with all your preaching about how this relationship is the key to the future you prize so much."

Yaten's head snapped up and her pacing came to an end, "You all killed her by not protecting her. We did the same with ours. This is what we all deserve for failure. By believing they were above death we have driven them into it…" tears flowed down her bruised and dirty cheeks. Silent tears of the wounded warrior she was.

"Actually, I killed her when I took her Star Seed, drove my sword through her and then -pushed her off Tokyo Tower." Came the icy cold tones of Mamoru as he reentered the throne room. His lips curled into a sadistic smile, his eyes cold and unfeeling, his sword dripping with crimson blood.

In his hands was the brightest Star Seed. Usagi's Star Seed.

"The problem Galaxia is that all her power comes from love. So to kill her you have to love her." Mamoru said with a sadistic twist to his lips.

Galaxia summoned the seed to her with an eager motion of her hand. The power it gave her made her smile in glee, "Together we will rule the Galaxy Mamoru. You and I. After all that was the deal was it not?"

"It was the deal. And rule we shall." He said with a smirk going to stand beside her.

The star seed began to move however. IT pulled away from Galaxia and from Mamoru. It moved closer to the Sailor Senshi and stopped. The began to glow even brighter.

"WAIT! It should no longer have movement! It should be completely under my will! What is going on here!?" snarled Galaxia, angry confusion lacing her tones.

The Star Sees started to glow brighter and brighter. Then a hazy form began to take shape. Take a human form. Female with long hair with two odango's on top of her head. With one last dazzling bright flash Usagi stood in front of all of them. Her bright blue eyes laughing and a smirk on her pink lips. But she wasn't Sailor Moon. She was dressed as a normal school girl in her uniform. She did a little turn and curtsied.

"Hi honey, I'm home."

Somewhere out in time and space four containment crystals broke open. Four Men were free. Free from mind control and terror. Free to be alive on the own accord once more. Free to make amends for the horrific things they had done to those women they had wronged so many times.

"Nephrite, think we are going to live past hello?" asked Jadeite with a smirk.

"Perhaps, if you don't use that smirk. Rei will kick your ass for being too damn cocky." Zoicite teased.

"Quiet all of you. First we find them. Then we grovel." Kunzite said with authority. Even though the idea of seeing Venus again filled him with joy.

"The stars are telling me darkness is falling on Earth. I say we go home boys." Nephrite said with concern etched in his features.

And with that they were gone. The Generals of Earth were heading home.

"What? You thought that little prick with your sword would kill me? You should know I don't die so easily. The whole been there done that deal." Usagi said with a smirk, "Besides then I could never thank you."

"For what you bitch? Why can't you ever DIE??" snarled Mamoru, his dark eyes growing darker and darker. His knuckles white as he gripped his sword.

Galaxia watched the two of them face off. Usagi had yet to henshin. Her eyes narrowed and she did the one thing she could think of to keep her from attacking Mamoru, the man she had always desired…she willingly shattered his Star Seed and flung the bits every which way.

"If you kill him now he can and never will be reborn again Usagi. Could you live with that?" she said maliciously.

Usagi looked at her as if she had lost her mind, "And you say that like it is a bad thing. This person has tried to kill me many times and is more trouble than he is worth. Trust me on that one. But Mamoru, I want to thank you. If you had not attempted to kill me, my mother never would have taken me to the Light so I could receive one final power upgrade. You see, one thing no one knew back in the Silver Millennium was no one in my family had ever reached their full potential. I have." She closed her eyes and called out, "Crystal Moon Queen Make-Up!" The bright white light enveloped her again and this time when it faded she was there in an all white and silver Fuku. A crown on her silvery-golden hair and a smirk firmly planted on her lips, "And you were only partially right. You do have to love me to kill me. But you never loved me. So therefore you can't kill me. See how that works?" There was a crash of thunder and a long silver staff appeared in her hand, "I am so sorry it has to end this way Mamoru."

"End how? You could never kill me!" taunted to ever to cocky Mamoru. His swagger now returning to him. This was still Usagi. She would and could never kill him.

"Silver Crystal Obliviation!" a pure white light exploded from the end of the staff and he barely had time to dodge away.

"Damn you!" he shouted and lunged at her.

"I am crushed! And here I was hoping we could still be friends!" Usagi said mocking his anger, "And how sad! I almost felt a tear for you. Almost."

"Your power is based through love. Murdering me is not love pet. It is hate." He taunted her.

Usagi rolled her eyes, "Newsflash. You tried to kill me first. And this is love. Love for my friends, family and this place called earth. You I have no love for. So you need to go away." Her smile turned malicious and her clear blue eyes darkened and narrowed, "Silver Crystal Obliviation!"

This time her attack got him right in the chest blasting him backwards into the solid cage bars and rendering him unconscious.

The Inner Senshi looked at each other and grinned slightly. This was going to be a revelation for everyone else that had not seen the serene and peace loving Lunar Princess in full fury. Not that she was there yet, but she was getting close.

"You almost killed the man I planned to have rule at my side. Prepare to surrender your Star Seed!" Galaxia shouted racing down from her throne, her golden eyes lit with some kind of possessed fire.

Without missing a beat Usagi turned to the Senshi and raised her staff, thinking they were about to be freed to help in the battle they were stunned to hear, "Silver Crystal protection!" fall from her lips and see a transparent but silver barrier surround the cage.

Haruka watched as the bars of the caged faded and Galaxia pulled all of her power around her. But she was still trapped by her Queen's barrier. All she wanted to do was help…. and she couldn't. For some reason Her Queen had deemed her unfit to fight at her side. The other Senshi were soon at the barrier and Ami pulled out her computer and was trying to find a way out so they could defend the queen.

"Prepare to surrender your star seed!" Galaxia raised her golden armbands and two powerful, golden energy spheres appeared and shot towards Usagi. Usagi looked at them with serene amusement on her face and raised one hand.

"Crystal Moon Block." She said calmly and the powerful spheres abruptly became imbedded in an invisible barrier. Usagi smirked at Galaxia, "That the best you have there dear?"

"Who the hell are you? Sailor Moon NEVER had that kind of power. No one in this Galaxy could stand up to me! I am…"

"The legendary strongest Senshi. Destined to protect the entire Galaxy forever. Blah, blah, blah. Ever wonder who GAVE you those powers? Ever wonder how the royal bloodline was always RUMORED to be stronger but could never quite reach it? It was I, who made you strong Galaxia. It was I who all those millennia ago sacrificed my role as leader of the galaxy to better serve the people of my own planet. Sailor Moon no longer exists. I am Serenity Usagi Tsukino, Queen of the Moon Kingdom and Crystal Tokyo and of this galaxy. I am taking back what is mine. Get the hell out." Usagi said pointing her staff threateningly at Galaxia. Power seemed to flow around her; her face was stern and her eyes steady. She looked every inch the annoyed warrior queen that she was.

"I killed your mother and I will kill you. DO you think Beryl could have3 gotten to your home if I had not let her in? I had been planning your bloodlines downfall for years…" snarled the enraged Galaxia. Her golden eyes taking on a mad glow.

"You fool! You did not kill my mother. My mother offered her life for ours and her spirit and soul live on through me." Stated a proud Queen, looking down at Galaxia with contempt on every line of her face.

"Your mother was a fool who could not harness the power she had been given. She never knew true power. I have! Chaos has given me the gift of power and you will NOPT take that from me! Defeating me is in your TRUE destiny. But are you even aware of it yet?" she kept edging closer and closer to Usagi.

Usagi tilted her head to the side and pretended to ponder that last statement, "My TRUE destiny? I am going to go out on a limb here and say that you are not referring to my marrying of Mamoru and Crystal Tokyo. Since I have to either contain him or kill him. SO I am going to with ruling solo for 100."

At Galaxia's confused look Usagi groaned, "pop culture reference. Just continue with your rant of evil."

After dodging a `Galactic Hellfire!' and two mutterings for her to surrender her star seed, Usagi stood and faced Galaxia; head held high, her staff leveled at her. "I AM the sole heir to the Lunar throne and this galaxy. You have committed treason by leaving your post. Now Chaos remove yourself from her body and fight me! I am not going to lose a Senshi over this mess! Silver Crystal ELIMINATION!!!" a powerful white energy blast slammed into the not quite prepared Galaxia and slammed her through her throne and knocked her out for a moment. Taking full advantage of this moment Usagi summoned Kakkyuu's star seed to her and took it to the Starlights to protect.

"Moon Healing Activation…." She whispered softly and the star seed started to glow once more. Usagi grinned at the surprised looks on their faces as their princess began to take form.

"Usagi, you have given us the greatest gift. We are forever in your debt." Taiki said with tears running down her cheeks.

Yaten came up and uncharacteristically hugged Usagi. A stunned look crossed Usagi face before she returned the embrace. The smallest Starlight was not known for her physical affection, or affection period. Yaten felt the power love flowing off of Usagi and something else. Something was pulling her towards this princess. How very odd…

Seiya just met Usagi's eyes. They held for a moment and then they both looked away. And with that Seiya's infatuation with Usagi ended. Had it really been Usagi she had been hungry for or just someone who needed her like her own princess had? Maybe they really didn't need to know the answer to that…

Kunzite noticed not a lot had changed on Earth since the last time he was here. Except for the feeling of evil that permeated the very air he breathed. But in that air was the still the sweet, fresh smell of hope. He closed his eyes and tried to sense where Minako was. In the past he had always been able to find her. He was linked to her forever. Because when he had given her his heart all those Millennia again he had never gotten it back. Then he opened his eyes with a smile.

"I found them boys…. let's go!"

"Fighter, Healer, Maker - remember not everything is forever. Protect her because she is going to be VERY weak. Trust me…the whole coming back from the dead thing? It is VERY exhausting." Usagi said as she pulled away from Yaten only to be engulfed by her own Senshi.

Haruka was the only one who held back and watched from afar. Her memories had come roaring back to her as soon as she had seen Usagi transform into the Lunar Queen. Memories that explained so much. She and Usagi had been lovers in the Silver Millennium. Not her and Michiru. This explained their connection now. Why Haruka had been in love with this girl from the day she and Minako had stalked her to the garage. Her dark navy eyes ran over her possessively. And a soft smile teased the corners of her lips. Then suddenly Usagi was in front of her reprimanding her.

"…And then off you go! I tell you I have a plan but do you listen? Of course not! You stomp your little foot and go off to do what you think you need to do. I am the queen here not you! DO I have to pull rank to get you to listen to me Ten'oh?" she snapped at the amused Haruka.

"Of course not Usa. I just thought…"

"Don't think! Just trust me for once! Think you can handle that?" with an impatient glare in her direction Usagi turned away from Haruka and was hugged again by Rei, she gently hugged and kissed each of her Senshi on the forehead and then pulled back till she was at the barrier, "It's all going to work out fine everyone. I promise," she looked Rei in the eyes and smiled gently, "I give you my word Rei-chan."

Rei tried to grin back…but ultimately failed, "Say it."

Usagi shook her head, "I will after we win. Not till then, it would be breaking tradition!" and with that she passed back through the barrier and faced Galaxia again before anyone could stop her. Galaxia got a blast in as she struggled to her feet. Usagi flew through the air and landed hard. Blasts and pinches flew. Now evenly matched the fight was almost poetic in its brutalness. It seemed to =flow on and on for days, when it was only a few hours. Then suddenly Galaxia found she pinned to a wall by a power flow from Usagi's staff.

"Chaos, release this Senshi. It is MY power you want, not hers. You and I both know it!" Usagi shouted in fury, her eyes narrowed in concentration, her body battered and bleeding. She stood strong and sure. Keeping her powerful healing energy blast focused on Galaxia, "release her to me NOW!"

"Never! I will use her till her strength is gone. And then take the throne that should have been mine. The Lunarians never did know how to use power." A deep voice burst through Galaxia's still lips.

"Chaos! Wiseman! Whichever you are going by at the moment… Leave the Senshi." Her eyes grew colder and more determined. Rivulets of sweat trickled down her forehead and dripped into her eyes, stinging them but she did not blink and her blast did not waver. With one last agonizing scream a dark shady form thrust itself out of Galaxia. She slid bonelessly to the floor.

"Chibi-Chibi, hurry or we will lose her!" and with one last beatific smile the pint size Senshi transformed into her true form - Galaxia's Star Seed and slid back into her body.

Four almost silent snicks were heard and Usagi turned to see herself facing four men she thought she would never have to see again and her jaw dropped, "Where the hell did you all pop up from?"

"We are the four Earthen Generals, General Kunzite Serenity -hime."

"General Nephrite, Serenity-sama."

"General Jadeite, Serenity-hime."

"General Zoicite, Serenity - Lunar queen and ruler of this galaxy."

Usagi rolled her eyes showing her annoyance with the Generals, "Yes I know WHO you all are. You have killed me once and tried to kill me on many occasions. Why are you all here and not in your little crystals happily floating wherever crystals go to float?" Usagi asked tiredly.

Kunzite steppe3d forward into the light and heard a soft gasp from Minako, his Venus, "We were sealed until we were needed again. When you achieved this level of power you freed us from both the crystals and Beryl's hold over our minds and bodies. Because of this we swear loyalty to you over Endyminion."

Nephrite curled his lip at the unconscious Earth King, "Besides, he is not worthy of his title. If his father could see him now - he would have been so ashamed."

Zoicite looked deep into the tired blue eyes and frowned, "The scars he left run deep. But don't worry, all will heal with time."

Usagi looked around at everyone as if seeing them for the first time, "Hold that thought Zoicite. I have my 9 Senshi, Kakkyuu and her 3 Senshi, and now 4 Earth Generals. I think I feel a migraine coming on…."

Minako looked at Kunzite with distrust and anger in her clear blue eyes, "We Inner Senshi know you four too well to trust you! With anything let alone our Queen."

Ami nodded her usual serene manner was replaced by one filled with rage, "Just leave this to us and go! This situation is our trouble not yours!"

"My precious Mercury…" Zoicite started, reaching for her.

"I am not your precious ANYTHING Zoi. Maybe once upon a time, but Fairy tales don't always come true. Ours ended when you tried to kill me and you actually succeeded once." Ami snarled turning from him, anger and hurt poured off of her in waves.

Taiki moved closer, "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"Sadly no. Unless they turn evil then you can watch while I kick his backstabbing sorry ass!"

Taiki looked at the serene Mercury Senshi with appreciative eyes. Her anger startled her but it also showed the backbone she was often too timid to show. Zoicite looked ready to cry and Usagi was muttering under her breath and massaging her temples wearily. Soon the Inner Senshi and the Generals were having an all out screaming match.

Haruka looked at her tired Queen and went over to the barrier, "Koneko, Usa-hime. Let me - us - out to help you! Aren't you always yelling at us because we won't work together?"

Two sad eyes looked up at Haruka and a ghost of a smile pulled at her lips, "I am, aren't I? But my dear Ruka this is one battle I must win on my own. This is a non-teamwork friendly area of my world." And with that being said the generals found themselves inside the barrier looking out at Usagi standing tall once more. Her clear blue eyes looking at everyone with conviction in them, "At least now I can gift and not have to worry about any of you. This is for your own good." And with that she turned and took off after Chaos.

Kunzite walked towards Minako. She had not changed in appearance much since he last saw her. Still, proud, with clear blue eyes that could see right through him, lips that used to smile so happily whenever she saw him. Now the eyes were icy cold and the lips twisted into a sneer that did not truly become the Goddess of Love.

"Venus, Minako. I understand you do not love me any longer. I do not like that fact but I understand. But do not turn down our help! Once, even before everything that happened, the eight of us were a powerful fighting team. Why turn your back on that now when you need it?" Kunzite asked, his repentant tone growing more impassioned the longer he spoke.

"General Kunzite. My Senshi and I NEVER NEEDED you and your merry band of sheep. Remember that we were doing just fine before you all interrupted our lives! You have turned on us before in our time of need so why should we trust in you four now? What were you expecting? A bit of groveling and we would all run back into your arms? Get over it! Now go be a good little reformed General and hop back into a containment crystal." Venus snarled at him, a thoroughly enraged Venus was not something any of the Senshi were used to seeing and so the two leaders had everyone's attention.

Later that night, once the city was asleep Usagi went out to sit on her roof and stare at the moon. She let her mind wander back over the events of the last day or so. Dying…again. Coming back to kick some galactic ass… that was always a plus. But with these new powers came new memories. Ones of her and Haruka. Of the Silver Millennium. Of love, and passion, and dreams coming true. Of her and Haruka together. And they seemed so right…. so REAL. In this life they had been fighting a connection forever. Something that kept drawing them together. Was it Haruka she was meant to be with? Is that why being with Mamoru had never seemed right? Usagi heaved a deep sigh and buried her face in her knees. Why couldn't her life ever be simple?

Michiru watched Haruka stare off into the inky darkness. Her sea colored eyes darkened as she realized it was time to let her go. As she had a millennia before Michiru was going to let the one she loved go so she could love another. Tears welled up only to be blinked away ruthlessly. Pasting a smile on her lips she prayed Haruka wouldn't see through she went up to her.

"Haruka? I think we need to talk."

"Michi? Was this it? Did you see something in your mirror?" Haruka asked, forcibly pulling herself out of the memories that had been playing like home movies in her mind.

"No, nothing like tat. I just realized something is all. I need to let you go. TO let you fly with the wind again." Michiru said with her voice only trembling a little bit.

"What? Is it because of what that damn General and I were talking about earlier?" Haruka asked her eyes displaying the inner conflict she had been trying to hide. Part of her wanted to hug Michiru and run to find Usagi. The other wanted to cling to her and say they could work this out.

"We can't work this out Haruka. I knew the minute you two met again it would come to this. Our love has been living on borrowed time from the beginning. I will treasure every minute of it. Every memory. But the part of you I need belongs to another. In fact I doubt it has ever really left her possession." Michiru said softly, mentally cursing the lone tear that trickled down her cheek.

Haruka looked at her with understanding in her deep navy blue eyes. The pain of letting go would only get worse with time. And they both knew this. So she stood up and kissed Michiru one last time and pulled her close and whispered, "Thank you Michi." And was gone.

Michiru sat on the couch and let the tears flow unfettered down her cheeks. Why did being right have to hurt so damn much?

Ami sat on the couch in Taiki's living room and watched her sleep. The mahogany brown fell loose around her shoulders and Ami was entranced. This is where her heart had been. With Taiki. How could she have been so blind? The small blue haired girl lay down next to her and snuggled in. Letting the steady thump of Taiki's heart and the steady breathing lull her into a dream filled slumber. Wasn't it great when life was simple?

Minako went into her room and slammed the door. Her parents were gone. There was a shocker she thought sarcastically. With a roll of her blue eyes she closed them. And let the tears fall. Why did she have these feelings still? Was she a masochist? Or was it that he was her first true love? With a groan she opened her eyes and reached for the gift Artemis had given her months ago. Her memory box from the Silver Millennium. Opening it she found pictures and her journal. What drew her attention though was a picture of the Senshi with their generals. Everyone looked so happy. Wait! What was that is that in the background? Haruka and Usagi kissing? She had had proof all this time and never knew it! Grinning naughtily put that one off to the side for later.

Then she found the one that had been taken the day she and Kunzite got engaged. For once she had been out of Fuku and was in a long pale yellow gown. Her hair blew easily in the light breeze and her eyes were full of life. His arms were around her possessively and there was a smile on his lips. They had been so happy. It was not even two months later he had killed her and the Silver Millennium had fallen. Why did love have to hurt so badly?

Makoto sat in a booth looking anywhere but at the man across from her. Why was she here with him, of all people? Why did she care what he had to say? She was over it and him. Nephrite had betrayed her twice and that was twice too many. Finally meeting his eyes she knew why. It wasn't over and it sure as hell was hard to look away. He reached out and touched her fingers with his own. She recoiled as if in shock or in horror. Either one, it didn't matter. Both thoughts cut him to the soul.

"Jupiter, Makoto. I am still in love…"

"Do NOT finish that thought! I don't want to hear it!"
