They created quite the scene at Escape that night. Thirteen beautiful women, and four men all dressed up and looking like they were on top of the world. And if the Star Lights kept being asked if they were related to the Three lights that was their own problem. At least that was what Usagi kept telling them. After glaring at Usagi one last time, Seiya shocked them all by dragging Jadeite onto the dance floor. Especially Jadeite.

Usagi watched with raised eyebrows and winked at Kakyuu. She just smiled knowingly back and winked. Minako caught their exchange and playfully growled above the music, "No fair! No special mental conferences tonight. Got it you two?"

Usagi saluted her and hopped up from the table, "Yes ma'am. And in the spirit of keeping the peace I am taking my girlfriend out to the dance floor - so you do not have to personally witness our `special conference'." And with that and a saucy wink Haruka found herself on the dance floor right as the beat changed into a sultry jazz number.

Usagi found herself wrapped in strong arms, pulled up close to a warm body and if she rested her head on Haruka she could hear her strong heartbeat. Snuggling into that protective embrace made her feel like nothing could touch her and that truly were the only two on the dance floor. Looking up into her rich navy eyes all Usagi could see was Haruka. All she could feel was her warmth and her strength. All she could smell was the fresh smell that permeated her clothing, and all she could hear were the soft words being whispered in her ear.

Haruka looked down at her princess and sighed peacefully. This is what was right. It felt right. It felt like they had always danced like this. Pulling her closer they swirled into the crowd. Until they were alone …

Kakyuu looked at Michiru who was smiling bravely in the club. Her feet were moving to the beat, her eyes still followed the tall wind Senshi wherever she went. But that was to be expected. She hadn't noticed the appreciative looks sent her way by members of both sexes. But that was to be expected as well since she never really had before either. In a simple black sheath dress adorned with silvewr accessories the aqua haired beauty really was something to see. Now if only she could make HER see that.

Michiru smiled appreciatively at Kakyuu. If she had not come tonight Michiru doubted highly she would have found the strength to show up and put on the brave face she had. Dancing and smiling with her friends had never seememd so hard before. Maybe it was because the person she had thought o be her best friend was currnelty snuggled in a quiet corner with another woman. A woman who did what Michiru could not - healed all her hurt.

Ami grinned over at Taiki and tugged her to her feet and then out to the dance floor. If Usagi could snuggle qand whatnot so could she! And this song was made for `getting acquainted' on the dance floor. Her mysterious blue eyes looked deeply into her rich violet ones and with a slight tug brought her face closer to Taiki's, and then met her lips wit a sweet kiss. Right as the band slid right into another sulry song. Perfect for what this group was looking for. Then something caught her eye and her jaw dropped.

"All hell is going to break loose tonight Taiki. Just to warn you." She whispered snuggling her cheek against her and breathing in the aroma of her partner. Closing her eyes and savoring it.

"What makes you say that sweetness?" came the thick reply. Having Ami this close was not doing admirable things to her will power…

"Oh I dunno. The Silver haired one is approaching Minako."

"Maybe we should sell tickets?"

"I am liking the way you think!"

Kunzite wlked over to the tiny woman at the bar and took the stool next to where she was standing. He did not greet her or show he even knew who she was. But they BOTH knew the other was next to them.

"Never figured you for a stalker Kunz. But I guess everyone has to have a hobby." Minako said, nervously tapping her toe as she waited for the bartender to notice her presence.

"Never figured you to be standing at a bar in that dress, but everyone has to at one point or another." Kunzite said equally deadpan.

"I will have you know that I love this dress. And everyone has to what at some point?" she said, a slight edge to her voice.

He smiled knowingly, "Make that last ditch effort against te inevitable. What? You thought you could dress like that, meet Prince Charming and live happily ever after? Fiorst off, you would never last with someone who couldn't handle the REAL you. Secondly, you KNOW I am the only one you truly want, and thirdly - I would kill any man you let touch you in that dress."

"Well, I am here because I want to relax with my friends. It had nothing ironically to do with you or your homicidal tendancies. It did have something to do with meeting men. Bu since I am single, there is not issue there. The REAL me - you knew her and killed her. So you couldn't handle her either."

Neph took a more obvious approach. He went overt to their large corner booth, took Makoto's hand and pulled out onto the dance floor. Her startled gasp and then angry words rolled off his back like water. She was his, and she had better get used to it.

"Listen to me you overbearing, womanizing, bullheaded, THING! I will NOT be dragged around like sa naughty child. If you want me to do something you have to ask. Otherwise this will happen!" and with that Makoto walked off the dance floor. Or at least gasve it a valiant effort.

Two strong arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her back up against him, "And just wehere do you think you are going lady?"

"Away from you you arrogant fool." She sniped and brought her foot down on his and stormed off.

Neph grinned and walked off after her…there was the fire he had missed.

Rei sipped her drink and pretended not to see the annpoying insect that looked like Jaedite sitting next to her. Yaten was sitting next to her and couldn't quite hide her laughter. Then those cat green eyes caught a glimpse of Usagi and Haruka out on the floor and they narrowed into slits.

"It doesn't suit you/" Rei whispered.

"What doesn't suit me?" Yaten asked absent-mindedly. Her eyes following Usagi.

"Jealousy over something you can't control."

"What do I have to be jealous of? I am perfectly happy." Yaten snapped. Her eyes turned to Rei snapping fire.

"You fell in love with her. But she fell in love with Haruka. Leave it Yaten. You have no right to break up her happiness." Rei said quietly. Her eyes sadly solemn.

"I didn't fall in love with anyone. I am simply intrigued by her. She is amazingly different than she seems." Yaten said going back to watching Usagi in what she thought was a subtle way.

Rei watched her with knowing eyes. She had seen this look many times. More times than she cared to admit. All of them ad at one point fallen under her princess' unknowing siren's song. Usagi drew them all in and loved them all. But she had give her heart o Haruka. And she thought Minako would be the most effeced by this. But maybe Yaten should have been put on that list as well. At least it was seeming that way.

Jeadite gave up on Rei speaking to him grabbedSeiya's hand and dragged her back out onto the dance floor. The raven haired Starlight looked up at him with dancing Indigo eyes and a smirk teasing her lips, "I told you so."

"Shut the hell up Seiya. I don't need to hear this from you!"

Usagi caught the sight of Seiya and Jaedite dancing and grinned to herself. This could be an interesting hook up. Then her eyes fell on Rei and Yaten and they widened. For some reason seeing those two together made her feel uneasy. Almost jealous? But that couldn't be right! She had her Haruka and she was so happy! She closed her eyes and snuggled in closer to her partner. But not before meeting a pair of jade green eyes and feeling them burn into her soul.

Yaten stood up abruptly and headed out onto the dance floor and tapped Haruka on the shoulder, "May I cut in? It is nice to share every now and then Ten'ou."

Haruka turned and glared at the intruder. Usagi looked up and saw it was Yaten. Her eyes went wide and she smiled softly, "I am sure Haruka won't mind. You were just saying you wanted to get us something to drink right? Just the one dance can't hurt right baby?"

Haruka looked into those jade green eyes and sent a silent warning as old as time `MINE'. Yaten simply raised an eyebrow and shrugged. Nothing had been finalized yet. She would have thought Haruka was smarter than that.

Haruka wandered off to the bar and as she waited for the drinks she watched them out on the dance floor. A quicker paced song had replac ed the sultry ballads from before and that was good. She didn't know if she could have handled watching them dance to a song like the one that had just ended.

Minako came up behind her and grinned time to play Devil's Advocate. TO bad Haruka made it so damn easy, "They make a cute couple don't they?"

"Shut it Minako. I know you still love her. But you know what? I know she loves me and nothing can change that."

Minako walked on the oher side of Haruka and met her steely gaze with one of her own, "Listen to me well Haruka. I know her feelings, and I applaud her for finally giving in to them. This is my warning to you. I gave the same one to Mamo-baka. Huret her and I will make you beg to die." And with that the tiny Goddess of Love was gone in the crowd.

Zoicite watched as his icy angel danced with the one who now held her like he used to. This was going to drive him crazy. But all in all how could he expect any different. Ami had resisted him from the beginning. And if Selenity had had better relations with Kakyuu in the beginning who is to say those two would not have fallen in love back then? Maye it would have been better that was so then none of this pain he could feel tearing his heart apart would be happening. But what was the saying? Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all? Who ever said that was a fool and a daft one at that!

Kunzite pulled an unwilling Makoto out in a less smoky hallway, "You are killing him. He loves you. You were married way back when and all he wants to do is try and get back to that. What the hell is so wrong with us earning our way back into your lives?"

Makoto's leaf green eyes flashed dangerously up at the tall silver haired General, "What is so wrong is that WE DON'T TRUST YOU ANYMORE. I think it is ludicrous that you would expect us to after all this time. IT hurts too much when we do trust you to risk it again."
