Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ Do You Remember... ❯ Do You Remember... ( Chapter 1 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Story #31 from Sailor DKC. A happy pre-Thanksgiving to all who has
been reading my stories up to this one! A fan liked my last trilogy
starring Ami and Zoisite in “She Wants Me”, “He Wants Me?”, and “I
Want You” so much that a new sequel trilogy was suggested.

I really never thought about doing it until I saw a picture from the
artist Bowaggi from the site of Generals Love. It convinced me to do
it because it was very inspiring just like when I used one of her
previous drawings as an inspiration to write “She Wants Me”.

So this story is dedicated to the fan Rune Jayce and to the artist
Bowaggi. Thank you!

Rated PG. Entertainment only. Naoko Takeuchi owns Sailor Moon.
I don’t. Have fun reading!

PEACE!

DO YOU REMEMBER…
By Sailor DKC

In the dining room of the Moon Palace, a banquet was held in honor of
the Guardians of the Earth. They will soon leave to fight a war that
began on Earth. Someone called Queen Beryl had led a riot against the
Moon Kingdom. Day by day, her army had been getting stronger and
stronger, and she vowed that once the Earth has been conquered, the
Moon will be next. Prince Endymion and his Guardians swore to defend
their home planet and went to the Moon Kingdom to ask for assistance.
Queen Serenity offered many of her strongest warriors, but only the
Sailor Senshi, who were the strongest, had to remain to protect her
daughter, Princess Serenity. Although getting help was easy, the
parting was very difficult. For you see, the Senshi and the Guardians
had been in romantic relations for a long while.

Ever since the war started, they hardly had the time to see each
other, therefore the banquet was only for them. As soon as dinner was
over, each couple went off to seek their own private time. Princess
Mina and Lord Malachite went to the Royal Music Room while Princess
Mako and Lord Nephlite walked in the Royal Gardens. Princess Rei and
Lord Jedite were in one of the balconies overlooking the gardens
which brings our starring couple, Ami and Zoicite, sitting together
on a loveseat in the Royal Library. Time was short, and saying
goodbye was painful for it would be a while before everyone would see
each other again.

In the library, Ami and Zoicite sat next to each other, staring
ahead, hands folded on their laps. The two had been courting for a
long time now, and things were getting serious between them. However,
the war started, and they had to slow down their developing emotions
for each other. “How long do you think you’ll be gone?” Ami asked.
“I don’t know,” answered Zoicite, sighing. “The last time we were
together was at least over a month ago. Who knows how long this time
will be?”
Turning her head to one side, Ami stared out at the large window to
her left. The sun shone its warm, bright rays into the room, yet she
felt no warmth. She shivered in worry and slightly moved her posture
enough to reveal one slender pale leg through a side slit on her
dress up to mid-thigh. Zoicite noticed this and turned his head the
other way, gasping and feeling his heart beating fast.

“Ami,” he said, at last, “do you remember when we first met?”
Nodding, Ami turned to look at him. “Yes.”
Turning back to face her, Zoicite smiled warmly. “I was very
different back then. I thought that was the way I’ll always be. Then
I met you, and you changed me. I never thought I could change, but I
did. Also, I truly believed that I did not deserve you. Yet you
stayed with me and made me feel worth something more.” Taking her
hands in his, he held them up to his lips and kissed them. “What
I’m trying to say is this: I love you.” She gasped lightly as he
looked into her eyes. “I’m going to war, and maybe I’ll die there.
But before I do, I wanted to tell you how I felt about you. Then I
can die a satisfied man, admitting his emotions.” Getting up, he
still held her hands and squeezed gently. “You are the most
important person in my life, and when I die, I know I’ll be complete
with that knowledge.”

Ami stared up at him, wide-eyed, as tears filled up and blurred her
vision. Smiling sweetly, Zoicite reached to wipe a tear that just
escaped from one eye. “My little bubble,” he whispered. “Crying for
me. It will be my last sight of you for now or if…” He trailed off,
not wanting to say the worst. He waited for her to say something in
return, but only silence lingered. Sighing deeply, he let go of her
hands. ‘I told her how I felt,’ he thought, as he turned and started
to walk away. ‘And nothing. I guess she doesn’t really love-‘
“Zoicite!”
Halting by the large window, Zoicite whirled quickly, his general’s
cape flowing about him. Ami had stood up from her seat, breathing
hard. She walked quickly over to him and threw her arms around his
waist, her eyes shut. Stunned for a few seconds, he looked down at
her, then he smiled, closed his eyes, and placed his arms around her.

* With his right hand, Zoicite pressed Ami’s head gently against his
chest as he held her shoulders with his left arm while she held him
at his waist as his cape flowed around them as they stood by the
large window. *

Finally, she looked up into his eyes and smiled back. “I love you,
too.”
Gasping in joy, Zoicite murmured, “Oh, Ami! Ami!” Bending his head
down, he took her lips in his. Ami slid her arms up until they link
around his neck, kissing him back. He then cupped her face and
pressed small kisses all over. “My little bubble! Now I can die a
happy man!” He pressed his forehead to hers, his eyes shut, savoring
the moment.
Ami stared at him, biting her lip. ‘It’s not enough that I said it,’
she thought. ‘I have to show him.’ With that, she slid one hand from
his neck to slip down the shoulder strap of her dress. Then she took
his hand from her face and pressed it to top of her bosom. Opening
his eyes in shock, Zoicite saw what Ami was doing. She pressed his
hand against her bare flesh and whispered nervously, “There’s still
some time left. We can, um, well, we can-“ She gestured shyly to the
loveseat.

After giving her the most gentle smile, he whispered, “Ami.” She
closed her eyes in ecstasy as he bent his head and placed hot kisses
to where his hand was and up her shoulder. To Ami’s surprise, she
felt him pull her shoulder strap back in place.
“Zoicite, why? I thought-“
“Shh, shh, shh, shhhhhh,” he shushed her, placing two fingers on her
lips. “There is nothing that I want to do but take you here right
now. But that would have been the old me. The new me is going to come
back from this war and show you how much I love you.”
She blushed. “But what if something happens and you-“
He silenced her by kissing her again. When he released her, they were
both breathing hard. “I have seen how much you truly love me by
willing to be intimate with me just now. So I’ll prove how much I
love you when I come back-” He grasped her hands, hard. “-alive. Now,
I have a reason to survive this war.”
Her eyes teared up again. “Be careful.”
“I will.”
They kissed again.

On Earth, there raged a large battlefield miles away from Endymion’s
castle. The fighting seemed endless. The rebels plundered toward the
castle, destroying anything in their path. Suddenly, as they reached
within a viewing distant from their goal, they met resistance with
the Guardians and the allied forces of the Moon Kingdom. The prince
led the defense with his Guardians by his side.

“SPHERES OF FIRE…CHARGE!”
“STAR SWORD…STRIKE!”
“ZOI-PETALS…PULVERIZE!”
“SPHERES OF ENERGY…BLAST!”

The Generals used their powers to ward off anyone coming within their
defense territory. All of a sudden, a huge beam of light sprinted
across the sky and started to dive at the Generals with such speed
that no one noticed until it was too late. That is, until a barrage
of red roses thrown by Endymion hit the beam, and the beam
disintegrated above the men. Most of the Moon allies ran to stand by
the prince and his Guardians. They stared ahead from where the beam
came from, and they all gasped in shock. From a distance, a young
maiden with long reddish brown hair, wearing an upper class style of
peasant clothing, lowered her hand from where the beam came from.

The prince stepped forward. “I know her!” The Generals looked at him
in puzzlement.
“Your Majesty,” General Nephrite replied. “Who is she?”
“She’s one of our people from the castle. I’ve seen her attending in
almost all of the royal parties!”
“Why was she trying to hit us?” General Jadeite wondered. The woman
spoke and her voice was carried across, amidst the battle noises.
“I am Beryl, Prince Endymion. My goal is to capture you. In order to
do that, your Generals must die!” Again, she raised her hand and
shot out another beam. But this time, the men were prepared and were
able to disintegrate the beam by combining their powers together.
“Interesting.” Beryl smiled evilly. “But I always have a back-up
plan.” Closing her eyes, she raised her arms out and cried, “QUEEN
METALLIA, PLEASE LEND ME YOUR POWER!”

A bright, sparkling glowing red orb formed in one of her hands.
Everyone prepared to face whatever sorcery will happen. Then the orb
vanished, to everyone’s astonishment. Smiling again, Beryl made a
gesture with her other hand. The orb suddenly appeared again amidst
the opposing forces and shot off heading toward the back of Prince
Endymion! Standing next to him, General Zoisite saw it coming out of
the corner of his eye, and at the last second, shoved the prince out
of the way. The orb hit Zoisite in the chest and enveloped his whole
body in a red glowing barrier as he screamed in pain.
“ZOISITE! NOOO!” General Kunzite dashed to grab hold of his friend’s
arm, but was flung back by the barrier’s energy.

“Damn!” Beryl sneered, making more arm gestures. The barrier lessened
its glow and disappeared. Zoisite collapsed to the ground,
unconscious.
“Zoisite!” Endymion shouted, getting up and running to him. The other
Guardians joined him as the allied Moon forces surrounded them,
shielding them in case Beryl attacks again. But she just stood there,
holding the glowing red orb which had reappeared again in her hand.
“This was unexpected,” she muttered, then extended her other arm out
in a wave. “RETREAT!” Black clouds swirled around her and her rebel
army, and they all disappeared.

Days had passed. In the Royal Recovery Room of the prince’s castle,
Zoisite was lying in bed, still unconscious. His General companions
stood around him. “He’s been like this for days,” Kunzite said,
angrily. “Isn’t there anything the doctors could do?”
Nephrite shook his head. “According to their diagnosis, he is
perfectly healthy. Why he is not awake is a mystery.”
“Then it’s a spell, cast by that woman,” Jadeite insisted. “There
must be a way to break it.”
“How do you know if it is a spell? For all we know, his life could be
draining away. There must be something we can do!” Kunzite pounded
the wall with his fist.
“I’m afraid there is nothing left to do for now,” Endymion announced,
coming in and standing by the door. “Right now, we should let him
spend time alone.”
“Spend time alone? We should try to wake him up any way possible. We
should-“ Kunzite stopped when he saw Princess Ami of Mercury enter
the room right after the prince.

In complete silent unison, the Generals and the Prince left the room,
closing the door. Walking over to a chair next to the bed, Ami sat
down. As she stared at Zoisite, she couldn’t believe that he was
lying there, unconscious. “Zoisite?” she spoke. “Can you hear me?” No
answer. “It’s me, Ami, your little bubble.” No answer again. Biting
her lip, she felt the tears forming. “Do you remember when you first
called me that? It was right before I dunked you in the pond on the
Moon. You were such a gigolo back then with all those ladies, chasing
after you. Yet you decided to pursue me.” She sniffled as she wiped
away a runaway tear on her cheek. “I couldn’t believe you were so
interested in me. Those ladies you courted were so popular and so
pretty, and I felt so plain next to them, but it didn’t bother me
because I never really cared about it.”

Smiling sadly, she stared at his still form. “When you started to
pursue me, it was more than just that. You wanted to be with me.”
Reaching out, she grasped his hand. “I wish you could open your eyes
because you promised you would come back.” Tears now flowed freely as
she sobbed. “Please come back, Zoisite. Please!” She lowered her
head to rest on his hand which she now held with both hands. Crying
softly, she was unaware of a red glow that began to surround Zoisite
from head to toe. He stirred and started to grip Ami’s hands.
Gasping, she lifted her head, but the red glow was gone before she
saw it. Moaning, Zoisite opened his eyes and stared up at the
ceiling. Then he turned his head to see Ami, staring at him wide-eyed
and mouth opened. Then she let out a sob of joy and relief as she
lifted his hand and tenderly pressed small kisses on it. “Oh,
Zoisite! I knew you’d come back,” she cried, happily. “I knew it!”
Closing her eyes, she pressed her cheek against his hand and smiled
as she felt him caress her lips with his pinky finger.
She was not prepared for what she heard when he finally spoke.
“Who are you?”
