Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ Dumbledore's Niece ❯ to be evil or not to be ( Chapter 14 )

I didn't know what to write next cause I think I have a writer's block. So, this chapter may suck. But, since I've got nothing better to do, I'll write it! …With the help of my non-genius sister…okay, fine so she's smarter than me…maybe…:-P

~*To Be Evil Or Not To Be *~

"How can we help her?" asked Sailor Cosmos. "We have to help her!!"

"Only our voices may be heard, but her decision must be hers alone," said Dumbledore sadly.

Cosmos fell to the ground and sobbed into her hands. "Why is this happening?" she asked.

Harry came up behind her and picked her up and hugged her. "Hey, it's okay Serena…I'm sure everything will turn out okay."

Voldemort smirked. "Typical of you, Potter," he spat, "She will pick the dark side and destroy you all!"

"She's just a weapon to you isn't she!!" Dumbledore shouted. "And you say you care for her! A lie I say!"

"A lie? I do care for her, if you must know Dumbledore," he hissed. "It's the fault of people like you who took her away from me. If it weren't for you people, I would have ruled this world already and none of this would have happened."

"But she would not have known her friends that she has made here at Hogwarts and in the real world," snapped Dumbledore. "Even if she did chose to be with you, she would never hurt her friends."

"That's what you think! I will change her and she will be the perfect princess of the dark!" he retorted.

"Iie! She won't betray us! All of us here know where her loyalty lies!" Saturn shouted, interrupting their fight. "She may be the princess of the dark and light but her heart will always be pure!"

"Yes! Pure evil!! Mwahahahahahhaha!!" cackled the dark lord.

"Never!!" yelled Dumbledore. He was getting even angrier than before. Surely there was a way to reach Uni, a way that Voldemort couldn't reach her as her father.

"There must be a way to reach her mind!" Uranus cried. "Damn it!! Damn it all to hell!!"

Harry was trying to calm Cosmos down, who was crying, thinking that there was nothing she could do. I mean, what do you do when a friend if confused about taking the dark or good side? It was an extremely difficult position for her because her father was the lord of darkness.

Malfoy just looked towards Uni and her many sides. He never knew she had three parts of her. Sailor Universe, the princess, and Uni herself. Now he knew why he felt so mesmerized the first time he saw Sailor Universe. It had been Uni herself! Now, here she was, confused about her feelings. Should she help his lord and take her to the dark side, or keep the Uni he wanted, a good scout with innocence inside her if you looked deep enough. He loved the way they would argue because he hadn't had a good argument in a long time. No one messed with him at Hogwarts, maybe except Potter, Weasly, and the mudblood.

What should he choose to do? He didn't know. After all, there was a chance that his Uni would change if he helped her go over to the dark side. Most of the Slytherins behind him were chanting dark side dark side! But many of them weren't because the dark lord was in their presence. They were scared. Malfoy smirked when he noticed that Pansy Parkinson was one of the many few people who weren't chanting. He always knew she was a wimp and would never serve for the dark lord unless she ordered her to. Sshe was a completely useless to the war against evil and good.

Harry was trying to comfort the sobbing Cosmos as best as he could. She was even crying on his shoulder, holding onto him for dear life. As if he'd disappear. But, of course, he would never disappear, knowing it would break her heart. Now, he knew that his crush on Serena had grown to deep love and was wondering if she loved him back. But now was not the time to ask.

One of her many best friends were in trouble and no one knew what to do. All of them were thinking that this could not be unbeatable and there was a way to reach her make up her mind. She needed to come back to them and help them defeat the evil that threatened the magic world.

"There has to be a way, right Harry?" Cosmos asked softly. "We have to reach her somehow before she makes a grave mistake."

Harry nodded. "There's always a way, Serena. Nothing is impossible. We just have to think hard, that's all," he replied.

Cosmos looked up at him and smiled. "You're right," she said. Harry gave her a smile and he kissed her on the forehead as he held her.

Sailor Pluto smiled at the couple but her face returned to its seriousness. "This completely will change the future," she murmured mostly to herself, thinking that no one could hear her. But Neptune did.

"If she chose the dark side, Pluto, what will happen to Crystal Tokyo?" she dared to ask the time guardian.
Pluto shook her head. "Many grave things can happen, Neptune. Uni is very powerful, especially with her White Crystal. If the Golden and Silver Emperium Crystal were to band together to defeat her if she was to chose the darkness, we might have a chance," replied the senshi of time, "But it is only a theory. The two crystals might not be powerful enough and darkness will rule until another hope will shine on good."

"But that might take millenias!" argued Neptune.

Pluto nodded her head slightly. "That is why we must find a way to reach the princess now. The future is unclear at this point. There are many doors to possibility and many are very dark and dangerous. We cannot take a chance and fail now," she said, "We must succeed."

"Indeed we must," nodded her head Neptune.

"Can't you think of a way to reach her, Sailor Pluto?" asked Dumbledore softly.

Pluto shook her head. "Even if I was told by time this piece of information, I might not have been able to tell you. I do not even know where to begin helping her," she said.

"There has to be a way! There always is!" cried Uranus, shaking her fist.

"Come, child of the darkness!" they heard Voldemort call out. His hands were raised and he was looking towards Uni. "Come and join the darkness as it was intended. You are the child of the darkness and shall rule in eternal evil!"

Much to everyone's shock, Uni began to flicker black. She was responding to Voldemort's call. If he could do it that way, then they would have to too.

"Iie!! Uni, you can't go to darkness!!" shouted Cosmos, standing up, taking Harry with her. She was still in Harry's arm and he wasn't about to let go. They were both looking towards her. "If you go, you wouldn't be free to do anything as you wish! You won't have the freedom we've all been given! You'd only be used!"

"You'll be lonely! I know how that feels. Choosing evil over good will be something you'll regret for the rest of your life!" called Saturn. "There is nothing more punishing than living your life alone."

"Who will be our leader for this fight if you leave us?" cried Uranus, "You're a great leader as is our moon-hime. But together with you, we can overcome anything that comes our way. We are and always be powerful because our friendship and love for each other!" Sailor Uranus paused before adding, "And who will I race with my bike or those racing video games when I'm bored? I still have to beat you!"
Uni began to flicker again towards white again. Voldemort growled angrily. "You are the child of darkness and always will! What will happen to you if go back to those goody-shoes?" he said, "I know what will happen. They will ignore you because they now know that you are the child of Voldemort! The greatest feared wizard in this world! They will spit you hateful words! Come to me and I will make sure you are respected the way you should!"

A sad and disappointing face appeared on her face. She didn't want that to happen. No matter how she may act like she wanted to be alone, she never wanted to be. Saturn was right, she didn't want to be alone, but she didn't want to be shunned by her friends either. She turned toward black.

"No one will reject you, my dear!" cried her uncle. "I haven't! I knew you were his daughter and I'm deeply sorry for not telling you, but it was to protect you! To keep this from happening! But I have not shunned you! You are and always will be my niece. My good and wonderful niece."

His words seemed to reach her and she turned white once again. Voldemort narrowed his eyes towards Dumbledore. Yes, he was the father of Uni and Dumbledore was indeed the uncle of his daughter. Yes, it did mean they were related. But they were only brothers-in-law. They were not related by blood. Dumbledore was the brother of the once infamous Queen Hikari, ruler of the universe.

"You won't win, brother-in-law," muttered the lord, before speaking up in a loud voice so everyone could hear, "Do you truly believe the words of your dear uncle? How many times has he lied to you? Once too many, I believe. Do you truly believe he hasn't detested you all this time? You are being used! He only wants you to come to the light because you hold the powerful crystal that will determine the defeat of me! Evil! I assure you, once the deed has been done, you will be thrown like yesterday's garbage."

She turned towards dark once again. Was it really true? Were they all just using her because of her powers? Will she be forgotten after this was all over?

"That's not true!" shouted Neptune. "Hime is our friend and we would never do that to her! She helped us through many important battles and many dilemmas of our human lives! She will be there for us through whatever obstacles as we would for her! Something you would never do!"

Uni sighed mentally with relief. They were her friends. Friends didn't do that to their friends. She should have known. She trusted them as they trusted her with their and her life. Why had she been so doubtful?

"A lie! I would do that for her!" lied Voldemort, "She is my daughter! There is nothing I wouldn't do for her! But I know that choosing the darkness is best for her. After all, I am her father. She will be at peace like she has never been before!"

"You mean when you kill her once you're done with her kind of peace!!" Harry jumped in, saying it with disgust. "You're the one who's going to throw her away once she's done doing your dirty work of making this world in your command. If Uni chose the light, you know perfectly well that you are done! Unlike you, we will be by her side no matter who her father is. She is nothing like you!"

Touched by his words, she retracted from the dark, but was now stuck in the middle. In the middle between dark and light. Now she was now back at the beginning. What to choose, what to choose…

Then, to everyone in the Great Hall's surprise, he spoke up. "They're all right. But I know something else that they don't. You do have the dark side from your father. But you also have the light from your mother. The light rules over the dark, so that is how you are able to not be evil yourself," he said, "And I do know that you love your friends and care for them very deeply, though you probably won't admit it. So even if you did choose evil, there will always be a light inside you. You won't be able to hurt anyone."

"And also," he continued looking at her. He was scared. He didn't want to say it. But he knew he had to. His heart said to. His consciousness told him to. His mouth would form the words in any case. "I know that I…have fallen in love with you and cannot let you go towards the dark…" There he had said it…

The scouts (excluding Pluto), Harry and everyone in the Great Hall stared at him disbelievingly. Pluto smiled a knowing smile and Dumbledore's eyes twinkled like in olden days. Two voices were heard screaming in the silence.

"Noooo!!!" they shouted together. Voldemort knew because of this confession, he had no chance of regaining her towards the dark side. But he tried anyway and desperately failed. Pansy Parkinson was the other who had yelled because he had confessed his love for her in front of everyone and knew there was a slight chance that she might still be able to snag him (yea right).

Uni's eyes snapped open and her body grew a bright white light. Everyone looked away from the blinding illumination. The images around her, both black and white, began to slam into her with great force causing her to react. A soft scream emerged from her mouth as they went inside her. After it was done, she landed on the floor and was gasping for air. Her eyes trailed up the floor and towards Voldemort who looked furious.

"…I shouldn't have doubted my friends because I know what I have to do! You are evil and must be punished no matter who you are!" she cried. She threw her hand up and shouted. "White Creation Crystal Power!!"

A white and dark energy appeared out of nowhere and sped towards her. The white enveloped her arms and legs while the dark went towards her chest. White gloves appeared on her arms that reached between her wrists and elbow and white boots that reached mid thigh also appeared. The usual white bodice appeared and the black fuku appeared also. Except instead of it being all black, it had white, silver streaks in it. The bow was its usual black and so was the jewel on her tiara. She had one dark star on her ear and the other was white. The bow behind her was long and reached her knees. White luminescent lip-gloss appeared on her lips and her new transformation was done after her hair was streaked with silver.

Everyone, even Voldemort, Dumbledore, and Pluto, were surprised by her new transformation. Now that they didn't expect. The new Sailor Universe narrowed her eyes and her usual staff appeared in her hands. She took an attacking stance and all the senshis took their place beside her. Cosmos kissed Harry on the cheek, causing him to blush a bit and Malfoy to scoff, before leaving him to help her friends.

Universe secretly smiled to herself, seeing her friends join her. She smirked toward the dark lord and said, "Still want to make me evil, father dear?"

"Of course," came the reply.

"Too bad you will not succeed, hmm?" she retorted. "I am going to stop your evil now!"

"No more suffering!" shouted Sailor Cosmos.

"No more innocent deaths!" cried Saturn.

"No more threats!" yelled Uranus.

"No more fights!" shouted Neptune

"No more mourning!" stated Pluto.

"And certainly no more you!" finished Universe. "Creation Light Twister!"

A white twister appeared out of nowhere and advanced towards him. The others attacked also, causing the twister to changing color of their attacks and soon was multi-colored.

"Cosmos Starlight!"

"Death Scythe!"

"Wind Slash!"

"Sea Waves!"

"Hades Scream!!"

Voldemort narrowed her eyes towards the attack and knew there was no way he could block that with a spell or even dodge it. So he did the next best thing. He disappeared in a portal that he conjured up behind him. But not before saying these words, "You will all die for defying me and crossing the Dark Lord!!"

Yay!! This actually turned out a lot better than I expected! I may just have conquered my writer's block. Yay me! And I'll try and not to take so long with the next chapter. I am one chapter ahead of the current story I've been working on, so I don't have to put this off as much. Let's hope my brain keeps working for the next chap! ^_^
