~* Mysterious Past *~

"Did you guys see Uni anywhere last night?" asked Sam.

It was mid-afternoon and the scouts hadn't seen Uni anywhere since the day before. She hadn't shown up for her afternoon class and she surely didn't show up for Potion. After realizing that, Snape held off the potion testing.

"No," answered Harry, "Why?"

"Well, since yesterday, we haven't seen her," said Arina, with a worried face.

"I'm sure she's fine," Ron said.

"I guess," they mumbled. Hermione, Harry, and Ron gave the other scouts a look that said, 'What's wrong with them?'

Michiru giggled and Darien replied. "I think they miss her," he laughed, "At home they always used to bother her."

"Oh," they said.

"But, guys," said Raye, "Don't you think we should go find her?"

"She didn't even show up for Potions, now that I think about it," Hermione thought aloud. "I wonder what's wrong with her?"

"Maybe she's just sick?" suggested Serena.

"Why don't we go ask Malfoy or Pansy if they've seen her," said Lita, "After all, they are all in the same house, ne?"

"Good idea, Lita!!" Arina and Sam said in unison.

They both hugged her and ran across the room to Malfoy. He had recovered the afternoon Uni had found them in the cave. Dumbledore was the one who was badly hurt and had to stay in the infirmary for a few more days.

Arina and Sam ran over to where Malfoy was sitting. Next to him was Pansy all over Malfoy. He looked annoyed and wanted to get far away from her. Then, he heard his name being shouted from the scout of Light and Speed and saw them running towards him. Pansy also saw them and gave them a death glare, but they ignored it.

"Malfoy!!" they shouted again.

"You can stop your yelling," he said, "I'm right here."

They grinned as if they did it on purpose. "Do you know where Uni is?" asked Arina.

"Why are you looking for her?" asked Malfoy, pushing Pansy off of him.

"We haven't seen her since yesterday afternoon and we're worried," said Sam.

Malfoy shrugged and looked away from them. "Why should I know where she's at?" he asked, his voice cold.

The two of them stared at him, confused and saw Pansy smirking as she clung once again onto Malfoy's arm. He didn't notice though, for he was looking ahead of him. Arina and Sam looked at each other and shrugged.

"Pansy, do you think you could check her room?" asked Arina.

"Humph, I am not going anywhere near that b***h," scoffed Pansy, "She might hurt me again."

"Don't call her that! Beside you started!" shouted Arina.

"Hai, she's right! Don't call our friend and sister names!" agreed Sam.

"Get off of me, Pansy!" Malfoy finally shouted, after a long silence between all of them. He yanked his arm away and she fell in the process from her chair. Arina, Sam, and the other Slytherin burst out laughing, except Malfoy who had a hard look on his face. Pansy's face turned crimson red and she got up only to run out of the Great Hall.

Arina and Sam stopped laughing as they saw this, but the Slytherin, the cold people they are, kept on. The two scouts looked at the door where Pansy rushed out, their face that said that they felt sorry for her.

"I think we hurt her feelings," stated Arina.

"She'll be fine," said Malfoy, hoarsely. "Not the first time anyways."

"You're mean," observed Sam.

"What about it?!" he demanded, "Uni may be in her dormitory. Go check there."

Arina gave him a death glare, which he ignored and he returned to his lunch. Sam dragged Arina away from the Slytherin table because she was about to lunge at him. When they arrived back at the Gryffindor's table, Sam made Arina sit down with the help of Darien.

"Why is she so mad?" he asked, after settling Arina down.

"Malfoy, meanie," she said darkly, "Add that up." She started shoving her fork with food and into her mouth.

"Umm…anyways, he said that we should check her dormitory but I don't think we're allowed in there," explained Sam and gave herself a mental note not to make Arina made, ever.

"Let's ask Uni's uncle," suggested Mina. The scouts stared at her in shock "What?" she asked, shrugging her shoulders.

"You actually said something smart," replied Lita, after a while. Mina flicked her food at Lita playfully for her remark. "Hey!" she protested, trying to dodge the flying food.

Uni stirred, as she slept. Something was bothering her and she couldn't quite place it.

~Beginning of Dream~

"Who the hell are you?" she demanded at the shadow in front of her.

It began to back away at a fast pace and for some reason she began to run after it. Uni tripped on the heels and dress she wore. She cursed for a few minutes and finally got up. That was one of the reason she hated high heel shoes and dress. She looked around and observed her surroundings, but couldn't see anything because the fog blocked her view.

Her shoes clicked as she walked and soon she bumped into someone. No matter how close she was, she couldn't see the person's face. All of a sudden, he bent down and kissed her and then backed away. Surprised, she just stood there, not knowing what to do. It became even more foggier and soon she couldn't even see her hands, let alone ahead of her. It became darker and darker by the minute and soon she couldn't see the fog anymore.

~End of Dream~

Uni's eyes shot open. She sat up from her head and rubbed her head. She had a huge headache and she still felt like sleeping or just fainting.

"Now, how in the world did I get here?" she asked herself.

Uni, still confused, she sat up from her bed and saw that she was still fully dressed and that she smelled. Then, she remembered the fight against the youma that had kidnapped her uncle and Malfoy. Uni cursed under her breath for a while and grabbed some fresh clothes from her dresser.

As she went inside the bathroom, Pansy barged into the room. She looked at the room and saw that Uni had left the room. Angrily, she walked over to her bed and went over to the dresser, throwing things over her shoulder. Soon, she came across a star brooch and she snickered.

"You cause me a lot of pain, Shields," she muttered to herself, "I think I'll keep this until I get you back good." She got up and slipped the brooch into her pockets. "I bet you're the reason Malfoy hates me. You tramp."

"Who you calling a tramp?" a cold voice asked.

Pansy looked at her and grinned, "You of course. Who else?"

Uni cocked her eyebrows and saw the mess before her. After realizing it was her things, she growled, "What the hell did you do to my things?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, were those yours?" smirked Pansy. "I didn't know."

"I bet you didn't," Uni said, narrowing her eyes. She pointed at the things Pansy had thrown on the ground and they were placed back to where they belonged. Pansy's eyes went wide.

"H-How d-d-did you d-do t-t-that?" she stammered.

"I thought you would know," she snickered in reply, "Magic, what else?"

"T-T-that's not m-magic," she stuttered, "Y-You di-didn't even use a w-wand."

Uni stared at her and pointed her finger at Pansy. Seeing this, Pansy ran out of the room screaming 'Mommy' at the top of her lungs, while Uni snickered. She went to her dresser and pulled out a hair tie to tie her hair up into a ponytail. Some of her bangs fell back down but she didn't care because she felt as if something was missing. She couldn't place it, shrugged it off, and decided to get something to eat.

The scouts, Harry, Hermione, and Ron were still trying to calm Arina down when Hermione cried, "There's Uni!"

Everyone looked to where she was pointing. Uni stepped into the Great Hall and heard some shrieking. She turned towards the Gryffindor table and saw the scouts, excluding Darien, Haruka, and Michiru, running towards her. She quickly walked to the Slytherin table so that they wouldn't smush her and sat down to the only empty seat, which was next to Malfoy.

Arina and Sam reached to her first. "Where were you?" asked Arina.

"In my dormitory," she answered eating.

"Since yesterday afternoon?" questioned Sam.

"I wish I could do that," said Mina and Serena with stars in their eyes.

Uni rolled her eyes and the others sweatdropped. That's when she realized what Sam just said and she choked on her food. "Did you say since yesterday afternoon?" she asked. Everyone nodded. "Wow," she finally said, "That is a lot of sleep." She got up and said, "I am going to see my uncle. Move."

"Hey!" exclaimed Serena, "Where's your necklace?"

"She's right," examined Raye, "Don't you usually wear it?"

"My necklace," echoed Uni, touching her chest where it usually should be. Then she had a flashback, as she thought.

~Flashback~

"You cause me a lot of pain, Shields," she muttered to herself, "I think I'll keep this until I get you back good." She got up and slipped the brooch into her pockets. "I bet you're the reason Malfoy hates me. You tramp."

"Who you calling a tramp?" a cold voice asked.

Pansy looked at her and grinned, "You of course. Who else?"

Uni cocked her eyebrows and saw the mess before her. After realizing it was her things, she growled, "What the hell did you do to my things?"

"Oh, I'm sorry, were those yours?" smirked Pansy. "I didn't know."

"I bet you didn't," Uni said, narrowing her eyes. She pointed at the things Pansy had thrown on the ground and they were placed back to where they belonged. Pansy's eyes went wide.

~End of Flashback~

"My…Pansy," she growled.

"What about her?" asked Lita.

"She took it," replied Uni. Then, she demanded, "Where is she!?"

"She ran out of here a couple minutes ago," replied Malfoy, still eating.

Uni closed her eyes and cursed for a few minutes. Then, she ran out of the Great Hall without finishing her lunch. She ran up the stairway that lead to the infirmary and burst inside.

"Miss Shields! I beg you not to do that again!" cried Madam Pompfrey.

"Sorry," she muttered, and walked towards her uncle who was sleeping. She sat next to him patiently, waiting for him to wake up. Uni desperately wanted to shake him awake, but she knew he still had some of his injuries. As if on cue, the headmaster's eyes shot open and he smiled at his nice.

"Hello, Uni," he croaked.

"Hello, Uncle Albus," she replied.

"What brings you here?" he asked.

"Pansy took my brooch. I have to get it back, but I do not know where she went," Uni said.

He sat up and said, "Does no one know where she is?" Uni shook her head in response. "Please kindly get Madam Pompfrey here." Uni nodded and did as she was told.

"What is it, Albus?" asked Madam Pompfrey, stepping in.

"Am I well enough to leave?" he asked.

"Oh, I'd say another couple of days of rest and you should be fine," she replied.

"Alright," he said getting up, "I will as soon as I am done with something." He stretched.

"Albus! Get in that bed right this instant!" ordered the nurse.

He chuckled and said, "Normally, you know I would listen to you, but there is no time. There is something urgent I must get to. Come, Uni."

He exited the room and Uni trailed along behind him, leaving Madam Pompfrey in her own anger. She wanted to yell at someone but she couldn't because she was the only one there. She hated when people did that to her, and she yelled in frustration.

"What are we to do, uncle?" asked Uni, as she walked beside him.

He was quiet for a second before he replied. "There will be no we until after class, Uni. You will go to your afternoon classes, for I have heard you didn't attend them yesterday. After your classes, come to my office and we will see what I have come up with so far."

"Alright, uncle," Uni bowed her head with respect, "I will see you this afternoon. I think you may have to escort me to Professor Snape's classroom or I will be in trouble."

He agreed and said as they walked down the corridor to Snape's room, "You do know you are not in Japan any longer. You do not need to bow."

"Hai, you are right," she said, "I forget sometimes."

"And unlike you," said Dumbledore, "Is something wrong?"

"…Iie…Why do you ask?" she said.

"…" he didn't reply and only chuckled.

"Uncle!"

"You look like there's something wrong with you, that is all," he said, finally.

They finally arrived down to the dungeons, where Snape held his classes. The two stood there for a second and still, Uni hadn't said a word to his remark. She opened the door and stepped in. Everything and everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at her. Snape, especially, stared at her with a death, cold stare.

"Finally decided to join us, Shields," he sneered." She said nothing and Professor Dumbledore appeared behind her. " Oh, hello, Albus," he greeted, changing his tone. Uni snickered and sat by Malfoy. For some reason, they always sat together, but since she was always last to get seated in her class, she got stuck with him.

"Hello, Severus," Dumbledore greeted back. "I hear you are going to try sample Kako, have I heard wrong?"

"No, headmaster, you have heard right," he said, "In fact, we are going to do that right now." He smirked and said, "Everyone leave what you are doing and fetch you potion of Kako."

Minna did was they were told and went to obtain their potion they made two days ago. Uni stared at Malfoy, her eyes ordering him to get it. Malfoy understood and roll his eyes. He didn't know why, but he did as he was told. She smirked and Dumbledore stared at her.

"Why the face?" he asked.

"Nuthing."

He turned back to Snape and said, "Do you mind if I stay here and watch, Severus?"

"Of course not, headmaster," Snape said, slightly bowing, "You are the headmaster after all."

"Suck up," muttered Uni, under her breath. Snape gave her the evil eye, while Dumbledore scolded her. Uni sighed and went to take her seat as Malfoy came back with their potion.

"When sampling this potion," started Snape, "If you are surrounded in a glow of light, the potion has work. That is all I am going to base this grade on."

'What a suck up' thought Uni, smirking once again, 'He is only being nice because oji (uncle) is here.'

"Malfoy, Uni, you two will start," he snickered.

'Humph, guess he is not going to let that be in the way,' she thought once more. She turned to Malfoy and gave him a sicken smile. "Go first," she offered, smirking. "Besides, we all have to go sometimes."

He frowned but agreed. In the back, Pansy gave Uni a cold evil stare. She placed her hand in her pocket where she kept Uni's locket and pat it. 'Why can't I open this stupid thing!?' she asked herself angrily, though not aloud.

~Flashback~

"I wonder what this is?" she asked herself, fiddling with the locket she found while going through Uni's things.

She had just come from their dormitories and after running screaming, scared that her worst enemy was going to do something to her, she sat on the couch of the Slytherin's common room.

'Wonder what'll happen if I open it,' curiosity finally taking over her. She tried opening it, but couldn't for some reason. She walked over to the table that lay in the common room and smashed the locket to it. It didn't even dent. She frowned. Pansy walked over to the fireplace and cast a spell to start a fire. She dropped the locket inside and snickered thinking it would burn. After a while, she put out the fire and gasped, in not only frustration, but shock. The stupid thing didn't even turn into crisp! There wasn't even a burn mark! In fact, it looked as it had looked before, as if nothing has even touched it, or it was thrown into a fire.

"Damn!" she shouted. She head a noise from the girl's dormitories and she went to hide behind a couch. Uni appeared at the top of the stairs and made her way downstairs. She had her hair in a ponytail and she had her usual black robe on. (like everyone else). Uni looked around, her face that showed confusion She shrugged and walked towards the portrait and left.

Pansy got up and looked at the necklace with astonishment. When Uni stepped into the common room, the locket had shine, as if calling for its master. Pansy had tucked it underneath her robe to keep it from revealing her hiding spot. Now, she was really curious about what the locket held inside. And she was going to use it against her. She grinned evilly and also left the room, into Professor Snape's room.

~End Flashback~

Uni looked behind her and saw Pansy staring at the locket with a scowl. She frowned and motioned her uncle over to her and Malfoy's table. She whispered something into his ear and he nodded in reply. Then, she stared cold daggers at Malfoy, telling him to drink the stupid potion, which he obediently did. His eyes immediately became dark and cold, his pupils blank.

"This proves that their potion works," sneered Snape and took some notes down. "Soon, he will awake from this state and remember things from the past. It can be anything random, anything from his past. It may his darkest past he never wanted to remember or it could be a memory the he treasures."

Soon, Malfoy came back to reality and frowned. Dumbledore walked quietly in the back towards Pansy as this happened. He smiled at her and motioned her to follow him. She did as she was told, and was outside the door.

"May I help you sir?" she asked, in a sickly sweet tone. However, he smiled in reply.

"Yes, Miss Parkinson. I believe you have something that belongs to my niece," he said.

"That would be?" she questioned, though she knew exactly what he was talking about. She wasn't about to let it go that easily.

"A locket. A star locket to be precise," he said.

"A star locket?" then she laughed an annoying laugh, "I believe she's finally gone bonkers, professor. Why would I even want to steal her locket."

"Who said anything about stealing? So I get you do not have it?"

"Of course not!" she said, getting angrier by the minute. "If you do not believe me, then I will…" she was cut off by a sound coming from the class.

The shrieking and the students yelling 'Uni!' attracted Dumbledore to enter the class, only to find Uni clutching her head in pain. She was biting her lips so hard that blood was coming out, only so she could prevent herself from yelling in pain. Her uncle rushed to her and placed his hands on her shoulder, as if it would help her calm down, but alas it was no help. The scouts rushed to her and looked at her. Arina and Sam looked as if they saw her pain and would fall unconscious themselves.

"Can't we do something!?" shouted Harry.

Dumbledore looked up at Snape and said, fear in his eyes, "Is there nothing we can do to stop the affect of the potion?"

Snape shook his head and smirked (Dumbledore did not see this), "I'm sorry, headmaster."

"Leave me alone!" Uni shouted suddenly, "I don't want to see anymore!"

"Maybe I can do something," said Serena, clutching the Silver Imperial Crystal. "To relive the pain, that is."

"Serena-hime, you can't," said Raye.

"I have to. Look at her," Serena looked at her friend who was still clutching her head. "She's in pain."

"What's wrong with you two?" asked Lita to Sam and Arina.

"We can see it," Sam whispered.

"What are you talking about?" asked Amy.

"She…the potion…it's making her take a glimpse of her past. Our past," said Arina, her eyes looked as if she was in a different place, but could still hear her friends.

"It's horrible," said Sam, "So horrible. So that's our connection."

Suddenly, Uni stopped screaming and her eyes opened. She got up and like a zombie, walked to the door. Everyone just stared after her, surprised. Snape was the first one to recover and scowl.

"Where does she think she's going?" he asked, angrily.

"She kind of seem like she was in a trance," said Mina.

"Or in pain from the memory lapse," said Amy. "We must follow her! She may hurt herself!"

"Right!" The scouts ran to the door when Dumbledore stopped them by closing the door with his wand. They looked back at him with confusion written across clearly on their face. Why did he do that for? Didn't he want to help his niece from whatever pain she was going through?

"Let her go," he said quietly, "There in one thing I've never told her. I have known her past since her mother brought her to me. She must do this herself. When and if only she accepts it, the pain will go away. None of you can do anything for her."

"Well, why didn't you tell her sooner!? Maybe just then, she might have accepted and not go through this pain!" shouted Raye. The others nodded in agreement, but were sweatdropping because Raye was yelling at the headmaster of the school that could kick them out.

"Because her mother wished to keep her memories intact in the back of her mind, locked away until it was time when Uni would be old and mature enough to be able to take it," he explained. "Her past was more painful than yours Serena, Amy, Raye, Lita, Mina. When you were killed by your enemies, she was killed by her own sibling as well as the rest of her family."

Everyone in the room gasped. Even Snape. What kind of siblings would kill their own family? Not even Snape would do that and he would admit it too. No one could be that cruel, could they? One name came in their heads. Voldemort. Now he was evil and could do that.

"…We should probably listen to Professor Dumbledore and leave her alone," said Sam.

Arina nodded in agreement. "I think…we accepted it a long time when we became…you know…but she hasn't. Her parents were hurt and all…" She trailed off.

Dumbledore nodded seeing they, as Uni's protector, understood. "All of you will be excuse from your classes. I think that Arina and Sam has explaining to you all," he said to the scouts. Then, he turned to the other students. "All of you are also excused, but only from this class, hope you don't mind Severus."

"Of course not, Albus. Whatever you wish is fine with me," said Snape. Inside, he hated it! He wanted this to be done with! Why the hell did decided to do a section on Kako potion! Stupid, stupid, stupid!!

The headmaster nodded again and left the room quietly, his robe flying behind him. (O_O How do they do that!) The scouts quickly picked their things up and ran out the door after him, talking quietly amongst themselves. The students and Snape blinked. Then, rustling was heard and students began to file out of the cold dungeon whispering to themselves and friends. What the hell just happened? Was the question in everyone's mind.
