Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ Epiphany ❯ Intro ( Prologue )
Remember: I do not own Sailor Moon, as much as I'd love to. It belongs to Naoko Takeuchi. Ciao! By the way, this is only an intro, so it is very short. Please review, because it makes me happy! Yay!
The school bell rang loudly in the small classroom, shaking Hotaru out of her thoughts. She lifted her head off the desk slowly, wiping a bit of drool off of her cheek.
<I must have dozed off.>
She thought to herself, dazed. She rubbed her eyes, straightened her plaid green skirt, and picked up her few books. She looked around, saw that the classroom was empty, and hurried off. Hotaru was glad the school day was finally over, and it was the weekend. She was excited to get home.
<Of course, I don't do anything anyway.>
She thought to herself gloomily. She vaguely remembered a girl she had met the other day, but it seemed so distant. Lately she had been having trouble remembering things. It scared her. Especially now, after she realized she had a power no one normal person had. It happened over a month ago, but it was fresh in her mind. A man had tried to hurt her, calling her weak. He was from her school, and he had picked on her just as everyone else. She couldn't remember really what she felt, but she remembered him flying up into the air and down onto the pavement with a sickening splat. Then she must have passed out. The man was in a coma for over a month. In fact, she realized, he had just been released the other day. She shuddered. That meant he would probably return to Infinity College. One more person to torment her. She had to stay away from him. Hotaru felt so awful about hurting him like that, even though Papa said it was alright, he had tried to hurt her first. To her, it just didn't seem right. Since then, she had kept avoiding people and hurried to her home. She didn't want to hurt anyone else.
<But it's so nice today...a trip to the park won't hurt anymore.>
She took a different road that led to the park. She had her books to read, and Papa said the sunlight was good for her, even though she hated it. She tucked her books carefully under her arm and began to walk in the direction of the park.
A man in shadow waited quietly in a dark alley. His hair was disheveled and his face was dirty. In one hand he held a piece of metal pipe. The other hand was clenched into a tight fist. As he looked up to the sky, he noticed the clouds getting darker. Good. The man thought. Let the rain come. As if on cue, small raindrops began to fall from the sky. The man smiled in the dark.
