In order to have the success in the mission, he had to hurry. "Took you long enough Akari" spoke the solemn voice of the dark haired man, also dressed in chinese battle garbs. "I'm surprised you didn't get lost. Isn't that the weakness of your current host?" smirked Akari. He growled. "How dare you mock me?!" he yelled. "I wouldn't take it so personally if I were you, Toryu" said Akari. "How about we discuss the matters that are important? The tsuki no hime...." said Toryu. "One question though. I sensed your ki last night. But, it was very small. What's the deal with that?" asked Akari. "Heh...it seems my host, Ryoga, followed your host, Ranma, to china and seemed to have been knocked into 'Spring of Drowned Pig' at Jusenkyo" answered Toryu. "Hmm....does the curse affect you?" Akari asked. "Unfortanutely yes, same for you I suppose. But, at least my host isn't transforming into a weak girl" snicke! red Toryu. Akari eyes narrowed. "At least my host isn't a sneaky little pig, P-chan. How dare you sleep with Usagi?!" growled Akari. "So you like the girl as well. I guess the tsuki no hime is mine..." thought Toryu outloud. Akari attempted to punch Toryu, but he dodged. "Tsuki no Hime is mine!!" he yelled. Toryu turned to him. "Don't you mean he belong's to your brother?" questioned Toryu. This statement angered Akari more. "You know I'm right, once she gets her memories back, she'll run back to him" stated Toryu. "No she won't!! Tsuki no hime and I share a special bond!!" exclaimed Akari. "And plus, shouldn't you be worried as well as to who the tsuki no hime will love?" continued Akari. "It doesn't matter who tsuki no hime loves, becuase it will never affect my love for her. I shall always love her" spoke Toryu. Akari was about to comment, but, he groaned. "Ugh....Ranma is starting to gain control again. I have to get back" he groaned. His answer was a 'bwee' Toryu had transformed into P-chan. "Why do I have a feeling Ryoga has already taken control of you?" wo! ndered Akari outloud before carrying P-chan back to Usagi's house. *** Mamoru Chiba watched from his balcony as the sun graced above the city as morning approached. "Who was that guy?" he wondered outloud. "Akari....that was his name.....he was so familiar..." muttered Mamoru to himself. His eyes then portrayed no emotion. "I'd better get rid of him. He'll get in my way" concluded Mamoru. He then walked inside. It was six thirty and it was almost time for him to make his way to Azabu High School, and he didn't want to be late, like a certain odango atama........ *** What was happenning to himself? Ranma thought as he got ready for school. Even though he went to bed early the night before, he was still tired. It confused him to no end. During his sparring session with his father, he had gotten a serious beating. It got on his nerves to be beaten by the old geezer. Just as he finished putting on his shirt, Usagi burst in the door without knocking. "Come on Ranma!! Or we're going to be late!" she exclaimed. She grabbed his hand in hers and they both raced downstairs. Muttering goodbye's to their parents and grabbing their lunchs, as well as school bags. "Hey odango, you could have at least let me have a piece of toast before we left!" yelled Ranma angrily. Ranma then noticed Usagi's sullen expression. As well as acknowledging that Usagi stil held his hand. "Usagi......" started Ranma, but, Usagi abruptly stopped. He stumbled back, and noticed that on Usagi's high speed dash, she had bumped into....the same guy that had insulted Usagi before!! What a small world? thought Ranma, mirthfully. "Why don't you watch it Odango Atama?" growled the guy. Ranma seemed slightly peeved though. No one calls Usagi Odango Atama, but me, he thought. "Hey, shouldn't you be on your way to school?" asked Ranma. The man turned to him. "Who are you?" he asked. "As if it's any of your business, but, my name's Ranma Saotome. Usagi's fiancee" he said as he gestered to Usagi. Usagi looked at him in puzzlement. Ranma, why did you say that? she thought in wonderment. "Heh....why would you want this odango atama for a fiancee. She's not exactly bright...." he spoke. Ranma clenched his fists in an attempt to calm his oncoming rage. "She may not be the best student, but, she's kind hearted, and has a big heart" spoke Ranma. The man's eyes narrowed and then brushed past them. "Oh, and by the way, my name is Mamoru Chiba" He waved them away an! d left. "Come on, let's get going" huffed Ranma as he grabbed Usagi's hand and led them to Juuban High School. Usagi looked at Ranma in puzzlement. Ranma, did you mean waht you said back there? thought Usagi to herself. *** So, the odango atama had a fiancee? Well, it's none of my business.....but, why do I have this wretching feeling in my chest.....there is no way I'm in love with her. Mamoru Chiba never falls in love, love is for the weak. It's a stupid, weak emotion that plagues humans. *** Usagi was walking home out of the school grounds, thinking about the morning's events. She was still confused about her feelings for Ranma. Maybe she should try to forget about Ranma, and....and give him to Akane.... "Usagi-chan!!" called the familiar voice of a blue-haired girl. Usagi turned with a smile to her friend, also partner. "Hey Akane-chan!" chirped Usagi. Once Akane caught up with Usagi, her breathing returned to normal. "Are you going to watch Ranma's fight?" asked Akane. Usagi blinked in surprise. "Fight?" she questioned. Akane nodded her head confusingly. "Yeah, Ranma's been training for the fight at our dojo. Didn't he tell you?" asked Akane confusingly. Usagi kept her anger in check. "No, but, after this fight, I'll talk to him about" said Usagi sternly. "Okay! Let's go and get good seats" exclaimed Akane as she dragged Usagi to the soccer field. Usagi looked around her as she saw all the people waiting for the fight to get started. "How did all these people find out about this?" wondered Usagi. Akane then pointed over a little ways ahead. Usagi turned and they could see Nabiki selling tickets to the fight. Usagi sweatdropped. "Um....is your sister always like this?" At Akane's nod, Usagi decided to not comment any further. Ranma showed up at the soccer field with a bag as he and Ryoga stood. Usagi just sat there and watched. *** "So Ranma...you finally had the guts to show up!" grinned Ryoga. "Listen Ryoga....I didn't come here to fight okay? Just...Take this!" said Ranma as he tossed Ryoga some curry bread. Ryoga stood silent in mute shock, "What is this?" Ranma looked at him, in all seriousness. "Well? It makes us even doesn't it?" asked Ranma. "Nani?! Is this some joke?!" exclaimed Ryoga. "Jeez. You greedy jerk! Here!" said Ranma as he tossed a chow mein bread. "Here's your melon bread, cutlet sandwhich, you're meat bread and your seaweed bread. Happy now? See, I didn't forget anything?" "Wh--Wh--What are you trying to pull?!" exploded Ryoga. "This is a bread feud, ne?" asked Ranma, confusingly. *** "Ranma thought that this was a breadh food?!" exclaimed Usagi. "If it was, would Ryoga be swearing for revenge. That would be such a feeble thing to do" Akane turned to her. "When Ranma told, Kasumi, Nabiki and I, we thought it was pretty feeble too, but, we also thought that, that was not the issue" stated Akane. *** Ryoga threw down his backpack, "You think a bread eating contest will advenge my honor?! Besides, " Ryoga looked at the sell by dates, "These are all passed the sell-by date" Ranma looked at him incredously. "Well...you kept me waiting for about a week" muttered Ranma. "Enought chatter!" Ryoga then drew his umbrella, "I attack!". Ryoga then tried to jab Ranma with his umbrella, but failed. Ranma jumped up into the air, along with Ryoga. Ranma then asked, "Matte, what's this all about?" "Thanks to you..." started Ryoga as he tried to jab Ranma and Ranma dodged."I have seen hell!!" finished Ryoga. "What are you talkin' about?" asked Ranma as he landed. "Do you truly believe, "said Ryoga as he landed and opened his umbrella, "That mere words can convey...the depths of my suffering?!" Ryoga then twirled the umbrella towards Ranma and Ranma dodged it. Ryoga took of his bandana and caught Ranma's wrist, "This'll keep you from running away!" Ranma blocked Ryoga's punch, "Tell me something...How many bandanas are ya wearin'?!" Ryoga's old bandana had been replaced with another one. They each tried to connect with a high kick, but both had missed. "You won't make light of this Saotome!" yelled Ryoga. Ryoga's umbrella landed near some young boys and the umbrella cut into the ground and the students moved. Ryoga essayed anothe punch to Ranma but Ranma dodged it. "Man...that guy" muttered one of the spectators near by. *** Usagi could only watch. A girl near her muttered, "...this may be a match for Saotome" A guy then shouted, "Yow! What's with this umbrella?!" Usagi turned and walked toward where the commotion was. A guy tried to pick it up "Man this thing weighs a ton!" he exclaimed. Usagi tried to pick it up, but she couldn't. Demo, Ryoga....swings it with one hand! This is not an even match she thought. Usagi then yells to Ranma, "Ranma! Don't stay in close with him!" *** Ryoga then tries to punch Ranma, but Ranma dodged. "Stay out of his reach!" yelled Usagi. A cut appears above Ranma's cheek. "Ha!" said Ryoga. With Ryoga's bandana still attach, Ranma says, "He cut me. Well...looks like I may have to get serious." Usagi yells again, "Ranma! Get away from him! Fast!! He has the strength of a monster!" Ryoga then talks to Ranma, "Heh. Looks like you found out...a little too late" Ryoga then tries to punch Ranma, but he dodges and goes inbetween Ryoga's legs and kicks him from behind. "Eh?" mutters Ryoga in shock. Ranma is now on top of Ryoga. "What did I find out too late?" asked Ranma maockingly. Ryoga answers angrily, "You...You dare to try and push me..." "Uh?" wondered Ranma. Then with one hand, Ryoga pushed the two of them skyward. Ryoga finished his sentence. "To my knees!?" he exclaimed. The students gasped in surprise. "What a jump! And with his arm!" "One arm!" Ranma switches on Ryoga and breaks his bandana that is on his wrist and kicks Ryoga away. "Wahhh!" cried one of the students as they saw Ryoga come in for a landing. "In-coming!" was the cry of one of the students. Ryoga landed hard and Usagi ran over towards him. Ranma tries to come in for a blow but Ryoga tries to kick Ranma, but Ranma dodged. Ryoga then goes for his umbrella and Ranma lands on the ground. "Take this!" says Ryoga as he cuts the front of Ranma's shirt. "That was my favorite shirt!" exclaimed Ranma. "This is war!" shouted Ryoga as he stood. "Don't act like a girl!" yelled Ryoga. Ranma essayed a firm kick that connected, "Who are you callin' a girl?!" Ranma and Ryoga left the field and near a water fountain. *** "They're over the fence!" "Follow them!" With that, the spectators followed the fighting duo. *** Ryoga landed on a water fountain. Ranma then came in for a kick, "Who are you callin' a girl?" Ryoga dodged as Ranma came in for the kill. Ranma then hit the sink and water came bursting through. *** One student shouted, "Water! They've cracked the earth!" Usagi thought to herself, Iie! Worse! There near the water fountain! *** Ryoga sheilded himself with his umbrella from the water. Ranma-chan then jumps over Ryoga. "Well, Ryoga?!" asked Ranma-chan while in a fighting stance. Ryoga see a girl type Ranma, "Matte....Why are you...that is....where..." stammered Ryoga. "What's your problem?" asked Ranma-chan as she jumped and tried to kick Ryoga. Unfortunately, Ryoga got a good look at Ranma-chan's chest, her shirt was torn in the front due from Ryoga's earlier blow. Ranma-chan's kick connected with Ryoga's face. Ranma-chan landed a few feet away. "Ra...Ra...Ranma?" asked Ryoga uncertainly. "Who do I look like, you blind jerk?!" exclaimed Ranma-chan. Usagi then appeared. "Ranma! Your...Your torso!" shouted Usagi. "My...oy" Ranma-chan looked down to see her front part was still torn. "You didn't know you turned female again?" asked Usagi. "Ranma! You...You..." stuttered Ryoga. Ranma-chan then covered herself up. ".....Well, why don't you laugh? Huh? Listen, I don't know what I did to make you bitter, demo, look at me--I am cursed with this body. Yet, I take it with stride and treat others with kindness" stated Ranma-chan."Heh. It is to laugh! That, you call that a curse. Whining about misery..." Ryoga laughs as he takes out some bandanas. "With such an adorable figure. Ha, such a jest!" "Yow!" comments Ranma-chan *** The students have finally located the fight. "There they are!" "This way! This way!" Some students get hit by bandanas, causing audible pain noises. *** "I've gotta get some hot water!" exclaims Usagi "Iie! You baka!" shouts Ranma-chan as she tries to stop Usagi. "Don't move! I'll get it" yells Usagi, unfortunately, Usagi trips on a root, "AA!" Ranma-chan turns to her. "Iie!" she yells. Ranma-chan runs to her. "An opening!" declares Ryoga as he throws his enclosed umbrella. *** The students are now watching the ongoing battle. *** Ryoga takes some more bandanas. "Even if you dodge my umbrella, my bandanas will take care of you!" Ryoga then throws some bandanas. Ranma-chan kicks the umbrella so that the handle is in her hand and then opend the umbrella to sheild the bandanas form her and Usagi as she carries them off. "Hang on Usagi" says Ranma-chan reassuringly. "AAAAAAA!!!!" yells Usagi *** "Say...isn't that umbrella..." says a student. "Incredibly heavy?"finished another student. "Yeah...." mutters the first student ]*** Ryoga sees Ranma-chan running away. "Running away coward?!" he yells. Ranma-chan calls back. "Hold your horses!!" she responded. Ranma-chan and Usagi land on the roof of a bike shack. "....." Usagi hated to admit it, even though Ranma was in girl form, she felt so comfortable. She felt so safe in her arms. "Whew" sighed Ranma-chan. Ranma-chan and Usagi then realize how close they are and immediately pull apart. "YOU!" "YOU!" "...." "...." "Nani?!" "Nani?!" "This is your fault for interferring...." starts Ranma-chan. "Interferring! You couldn't beat him as a girl!" argues Usagi. "Like I said, interferring! Never butt into a man-to-man fight!" counters Ranma-chan. "Who's a man, you hentai?!" exclaims Usagi. *** Ryoga takes off his belt. "Huh? Now what is he doing?" mutters a student. Ryoga snaps the belt. "Yow!" exclaims a student. "That belt is like a rod!" Ryoga snaps his belt through a pole and breaks out a middle piece of it and the pole starts to fall towards Ranma-chan and Usagi's direction. *** "If you weren't in the way--" argued Ranma-chan. "--You weren't such a reckless baka--" snapped Usagi. They were each cut off by the pole falling next to them and knocking the roof down. "Gyaa!" Ranma-chan then grabs Usagi as Ryoga appears with his belt and ready to kill. Ranma-chan sees the umbrella falling and grabs it to sheild herself and Usagi. Ryoga slices the umbrella in half and Ranma-chan and Usagi start to decend. "Let me go!" yells Usagi angrily. "Nani? You think I'm holding on because I want to?" countered Ranma-chan. Tears formed in Usagi's eyes. As the two of them land on the ruble below them and Usagi slaps her. "Well, if I am such a nuisance...then..." Usagi starts to walk away. "Uh..." mutters Ranma-chan, "Usagi?" Ryoga comes at Ranma-chan with his belt. "Ignore me will you?!" Ranma-chan kicks Ryoga as he dives at her, "Give it a rest!" Ranma-chan then runs after Usagi. "Usagi!" she yells. Ranma-chan then catches up with her, "U...Usagi, I.." Unknowingly, Ryoga throws another umbrella. "You don't have to explain..." started Usagi silently, then her voice raise as she turned to her. "Because starting now, you and me are strangers!!Go and be Akane's fiancee since your engaged to her too!!" *** "Akane's..." "Fiancee...." Everyone turns to Akane as she backs away slightly. Suddenly, Nabiki appears. "Now, You can get the true story between this love triangle for only 3000 yen!!" she exclaimed, and the students started to count out there money as Akane stared at Nabiki in disbelief. *** Ryoga's umbrella then cut Usagi's hair at the knots of her pigtails. Ryoga then walked up next to Ranma-chan and minna gasped, and turned to the scene, and ignoring Nabiki. "U...Usagi?" asked Naru. Ranma-chan looked at her closely, "She's...in shock?" Naru turns to her angrily. "What do you expect?!" exclaimed Naru. "Caught in public with a haircut like that! She's lucky she didn't just die! You should know that! What kind of a girl are you?! Who are you anyway?" she finished. Ranma-chan backs away while starting the ultra cute act. "Hey, where is Ranma?" asked one of the boys. Ranma-chan then sweatdrops, but, recovers quickly. "Wait a minute! Who cares!? What matters is...Usagi" Ranma-chan then turns to Usagi. Ryoga then approached. "Feh. She didn't get an injury did she?" he asked. Ranma-chan turned to him, "Iie. But she surely got a bad haircut" Minna was silent. "Okay Usagi. if it will make you feel any better, you can hit me!" sighed Ranma-chan. "You may hit me too" agreed Ryoga. Usagi just stares blankly at them. "C'mon! Swing!" ordered Ranma-chan. "Pow! Lay one on me!" added Ryoga as he imitated being hit. The ravens start leaving there nest as a loud, audible noise was heard. "Agreeble girl, ne?" asked Ryoga as both he and Ranma had hand prints on the side of their faces. "...." Usagi just shuffles away. Akane just looks after her new friend. Usagi walks towards the direction of the Tendo Training Hall and she looks at a pole with a 'Happy Hour' poster on it and she then punches it and it vibrates. Ouch, thought Usagi as her ankle throbbed, I'd better get home so I can treat my ankle. Ranma-chan was at the top of the pole, "Hmmm....I get the feeling she's still mad" *** Usagi walks into her room without being seen by anyone. Usagi has a memory of back in the old days when she was little. Ranma-chan interrupted her thoughts as she tapped on the window. Usagi opened it. "Say..um.." stuttered Ranma-chan. "Nani? You think I would be crying my eyes out?" asked Usagi. "Well, it's just..." fumbeled Ranma-chan. "I don't care about my hair..." said Usagi as she picked up her lamp and threw it at Ranma-chan. "So, Leave me alone!" Usagi then closed her window. Usagi picked up a towel and scissors and also taking out her hair that went down her back. She looked for Kasumi fixing dinner. Kasumi was almost like her older sister now and the Tendos' seemed to welcome Usagi openly, even after this whole iinazuke scenerio. "Kasumi...?" she asked nervously. Kasumi was taking the skillet in her hand and turned around, "Hai...?" Kasumi threw the skillet in the air as she saw Usagi. Even though she hadn't known Usagi long, the shock of her actually having such a short haircut was extreme. Ranma-chan came in and caught everything. "Do you have to overreact like that Kasumi-chan?" asked Usagi. Kasumi responded stiffly. "Demo...Demo...Demo...your hair!" stuttered Usagi. "I'm afraid that it's my f--" started Ranma-chan, but Usagi cut her off. "I just felt like a change! That's all!" chirped Usagi, weakly, "Can you fix it up for me?" Kasumi then led Usagi to another room. Ranma-chan got some hot water and changed back. Ranma then sat on the roof. Hmmm, thought Ranma as he held the two cut pigtails. He recalled what Usagi said: If I am such a nuisance...then, starting now, you and I are strangers!' Ranma then strategized what to do, 'I guess I have to apologize' Ranma then climbed inside and found Kasumi in the kitchen. "Where's Usagi?" he asked. "She went out for a walk? Did something happen at your fight to make her upset?" asked Kasumi, but Ranma ran off before he could respond. Ranma ran on the fence and saw Usagi, "Aha! Usagi!". Ranma jumped infront of the girl then said, "Whoops! Gomen, wrong girl!" "Who are you looking for?" asked the girl. Ranma turned to her. The girl asked, "Why are you looking at me that way?" Ranma looked at her in shock. "Usagi?" asked Ranma uncertaintly. She nodded. Usagi's hair was at her shoulder and Ranma had to admit, she looked cuter then before. "Looks better, ne?" asked Usagi while fingering her hair. "Um...Usagi...Gomen Nasai" apologized Ranma. "I've never seen you so meek before" commented Usagi. "It's just...I" started Ranma. Usagi cut him off and walked past him. "It's all right. I was thinking of getting it cut anyway" she said nonchalantly. Ranma was silent and they walked. Usagi turned to him. "What's wrong?" she asked. But, Ranma wasn't there, "Ranma?" she asked again. She noticed him on the fence looking away from her. Ranma then spoke. "Y'know, I forgot to mention, your hair does look good like that" Usagi was speachless. "Why are you looking at me like that?" asked Ranma. Usagi leaned closer. "Do you feel alright?" she asked. "Hey! Listen, Jerk--" argued Ranma. Usagi cut him off again. "Just don't worry about it. You don't have to cheer me up" said Usagi. "You think that's what I'm doing?!" exclaimed Ranma. "I try to compliment you, an'--Who says you're cute?!" questioned Ranma. "No one. I'm not cute" stated Usagi while turning away. "I just meant that I like you're hair better--" said Ranma before stuttering from his squated position as Usagi turned. "I mean....that is...not that my opinion makes any difference..." he finished. Usagi spoke as Ranma trailed off. "Ranma?" Ranma turned to her. Usagi smiled. "Arigatou. That's nice to hear" Ranma looked at her strangly. "Mm...?" muttered Ranma! as he turned to her, still in his squatted position on the fence. "Even if you don't mean it...it's nice" continued Usagi. Could it be that this chick is really...cute? thought Ranma while being off guard and he took a glance at her. "On Guard" said Usagi as she pushed Ranma into a nearby canal. "Why you!!" exclaimed Ranma-chan. "Now you don't have to feel guilty anymore" laughed Usagi. "Who says you're cute?!" exclaimed Ranma-chan. Usagi stuck her tongue out, "Nyaaa! Nyaaa! Nyaaa!" *** Meanwhile, Ryoga.... 'Just you wait Ranma Saotome...I'll find your Training Hall--and fight you to death!' thought Ryoga as he trudged his way.... ....Is somewhere in Okinawa *** In that case, Ryoga, you shall never find Ranma, or Akari for that matter. *** Finished!! Finally finished chapter three. Isn't that great? Now, onto chapter four. Preview: Hey, Ranma Saotome here. In the next chapter, there's a new guy at our school, and he could pass as Mamoru's twin!!
