A/N: Ohayo…kinda… My next segment is up! Now we start to get into information about the day to day life of the Princes and Princesses.

 

Again, Seiya and Usagi show up and so does a few girl/girl couples. So shoujo-ai fans, you will see more info in this story, but we'll get more into their relationships later. I also posted a family tree as a preface and will change it as I can.

Chapter 2

Tragedy Once Again Befalls

 

“…And it is my great pleasure to introduce you to Terran and Selene, Your Highness. Terran, as you can see, has been branded with the symbol for Earth and Selene, the symbol for the moon. They will be your daughter's advisors when they get older.” Three cats stood “bowing” to Sue-Queen Serenity. The one who had introduced the other two was Diana, the queen's Advisor. The other two were unknowns. One was yellow, matching the color of the Moon Symbol on the queen's head. She had a brown symbol for Earth over her green eyes. The second cat was brown. She had the traditional Moon symbol above her purple eyes. “Terran and Selene, my daughters, meet the queen.”

 

“Pleased to meet you, Your Highness,” the two younger cats said in unison. “We're sorry we couldn't meet you sooner.”

 

“I am sorry too, Your Highness, that I have been gone for so long. I didn't expect my trip to Mau to take as long as it did.”

 

“That's alright, Diana. Did you bring your daughter's father back with you?”

 

Diana blushed crimson through her light purple fur and nodded. “His name is Apollo. He is being branded with the Moon symbol right now.”

 

Sue-Queen Serenity smiled at her long time friend and patted her lap. “C'mere, Diana. Tell me about your travels.”

 

Diana leapt to her master's lap and sat down, sighing contentedly. “It was a nice trip, Lady. Apollo and I met first off and he wooed me until I didn't want to leave. I asked him to come along and to my surprise, he agreed.” Just then, a beautiful golden cat walked into the room. “Here he is now.” Diana jumped down and pushed Apollo forward with her nose. “Lady, this is Apollo, my husband. Apollo, this is Queen Serenity.”

 

“Your Highness.” Apollo's voice was deep and resonated off the walls as he bowed. “I hope you don't mind, but I brought some aides with me. This is Guy,” he introduced, motioning a white and gray cat forward with golden eyes. “And this is Salner,” he said as a cat with silver fur and silver eyes bounded forward.

 

Sue-Queen Serenity caught the glances Selene and Terran were shooting the two aides and understood. “That's fine, Apollo. All of you make yourselves comfortable. Terran and Selene, you might want to stay. I think I hear my daughters coming now.”

 

And indeed, the sound of running feet accompanied the shouts of eight young women and two young men. The ten young princesses and princes of Crystal Tokyo ran into the room shouting. The two in front, a young woman with silver hair pulled up into two odangos and a second young woman with her green and yellow hair loose down her back except for the two braids in front, stopped when they say their mother on the throne. Then they saw the purple cat with the crescent moon. “Diana!” they shouted, running up and giving her a hug.

 

After many hugs, the queen turned to her daughters and said, “Well, Usa, this is Selene. She will be your cat from now on.” The little brown cat jumped into her new master's arms and started purring. “Mamo, this,” and the little yellow cat jumped into her arms, “is Terran, your cat.” The two princesses held their cats and turned towards their friends to show them off.

 

“Lady,” Diana whispered. “I don't recognize any of these people.”

 

Serenity clapped her hands and called each one forward. “The Princesses from Mercury. May I introduce Princess Rikouna Ami, also known as Sailor Mercury and her sister, Princess Isaiko Shimi, Kamen no Jupiter.”

 

“The Princess and Prince from Venus. May I introduce Princess Ren-ai Minako, also known as Sailor Venus and her brother, Prince Eron Aidan, Kamen no Mercury.”

 

“The Princesses from Mars. May I introduce Princess Yochi Rei, also known as Sailor Mars and her sister, Princess Kakina Chirka, Kamen no Venus”

 

“The Prince and Princess from Jupiter. May I introduce Prince Ryoku Motoki, Kamen no Mars and his sister, Kyouko Makato, also known as Sailor Jupiter.”

 

The prince and princesses bowed, blushing a bit as their relationships were revealed. Then they split into their respective groups, the more masculine princesses helping their ladies out of the throne room, followed by the princess of Earth and Moon.

 

“Well, they have certainly grown haven't they?” Diana asked, looking at her queen.

“Mamo, wait up!” Yochi, eldest princess of Mars called to her best friend. “What was that all about?”

 

“My mommy was away from Crystal Tokyo for so long that she didn't remember any of you,” the cat in Mamo's arms piped up.

 

“Yeah, what Terran said. Diana's been gone for so long that she only remembered you as five year olds, not fifteen and sixteen year olds that we are.”

 

“Oh…” Yochi paused in the hall and sneezed three times. After she was finished, she ran back up to Mamoko, her eyes watering and tossed her long dark purple hair over her shoulder. “I'm allergic to cats,” she said, her voice nasally from sneezing.

 

“I apologize, Princess Yochi,” Terran said moving to jump down.

 

“Nah, it's alright. I just forgot to take my medicine. After all, the Dowager has cats, so I should have…Are we still going to visit your obaasan today, Mamo?”

 

“Mmmmhmmm. And Seiya-kun. He refuses to be called Grandfather, since he looks like he's still in his thirties…

Sue-Queen Serenity stepped out onto the platform that had been raised for this occasion. “Ladies and Gentlemen of Crystal Tokyo. I'm pleased to make a very special announcement.” She let the noise die down as she motioned Usa over to her. “As most of you know, we have been rebuilding the Moon Kingdom so that one day, we can have it's beautiful presence back in our life. I'm pleased to let you know that it has been accomplished. My daughter, Serenity Usagi III will be traveling there to oversee the final preparations and in a few weeks, she will take her new oath as the queen of the Moon. I will remain as Queen of Earth until the time that Daichina Mamoko, my other daughter decides to take the throne of Earth. Please raise your voices in a cheer for Serenity Usagi III as she goes to her new life as Queen of the Moon!”

 

The noise of the crowd swelled to an ear-numbing volume until Usa stepped up to the edge of the platform. The crystals Lady Mercury had set up for amplification. “Thank you, Sue-Queen Serenity. Please know, Ladies and Gentlemen, that I will work to have the Moon Kingdom ready for habitation by the end of next year.”

 

Another cheer erupted and Usa stepped off the platform to the waiting translocater that would take her up to the moon.

 

After Usa stepped on, the soft golden light turned into a blood red and a maniacal laugh was heard. The form of a woman mostly in shadow appeared in front of the queen and the rest of the people of Crystal Tokyo.

 

“Well, well, Serenity, so you send you eldest daughter to my clutches. Thank you.” The woman had black hair shot with silver and her eyes were a non-descript shade of tan. “I am Melanite and she is mine now!” As she disappeared, all of the senshi, including the Eternals and Sailor Cosmos ran onto the platform.

 

Too late, the heir to the Moon Kingdom had disappeared.
