Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ Happily ever after? ❯ Not so happy after all ( Chapter 2 )
* The next morn *
"Where are the flowers?!" Screeched the wedding decorator, Mina Canita. , the Asian with the attitude. "Did you think I planned a flowerless wedding!?" She screeched "Amy!"
"Yes Ms. Canita." Amy Sanders answered calmly.
"Where are the flowers?" She asked menacingly.
"Right here." Called the bird like voice of Raye Matthews, Another part of the wedding coordinating team. "Calm down Ms. Canita, The wedding is not over because of a missing bouquet or two." Raye said in futile attempts to calm Mina.
"It is for me!" She stated with a sharp glare. "Where is Lita? The wedding has to have a caterer."
"She's in the kitchen as we speak, putting the final touches on the wedding cake. She was baking for over ten hours. The cake is as big as a house!" Amy said with a high pitched finish. She blushed as the surrounding girls looked at her in a curious way.
"Ahem. Are you kind ladies done?" A baritone voice asked.
"Sir Darien! Where have you been?" Ami asked in a motherly way. "Getting ready for the ceremony, I hope."
"Of course." He said, modeling his outfit to the girls. "How do you like it?" He asked almost nervously. As though looking for a female opinion.
"Serena is sure to love it as much as we do." Amy said kindly "To think of it, where is Serena? I haven't seen her since sunrise."
"She's putting on her dress as we speak." Mina reported happily. Suddenly she heard an animal like cry.
"Serena!" The five cried in unison. Mina started to run towards her and the rest followed. When she came to an abrupt stop in front of an open door she stopped Darien a few feet back. "NO! Stay back!" She yelled, "Darien shouldn't see her! Not like this. Call the king and queen."
* Two days later…In the crypt *
"Good bye Serena." The last mourner said as she swept her raven hair over to the side. Darien hadn't spoken since he pushed past Mina to see Serena…with a slit throat. Atara was right beside her with the knife in her heart. After his last howl of sorrow he succumbed to despair. He didn't eat, didn't sleep, and didn't care. He stayed at Serena's side for the two days…and for the rest of time.
