How To Deal With A Baby As Sailor Moon
************
“As you know because it is coming up to the end of the school term, there will be a project covering all of what you have done in social studies so far. Thus your project for the next two weeks will be about parenthood.”
Some of the students lifted their heads at their teacher's statement, others stopped doodling, and others just carried on sleeping: namely Serena, her mouth open slightly, head buried in hands.
Social Studies was not a subject Serena liked but her mother ushered her into picking it saying it would be good practice for the future…well it would be if she would listen…
“This is a perfect opportunity to get a final good grade or-“ Miss Haruna looked over to the blonde head cradled in white sleeved arms. She stalked over to her quietly, positioned herself where Serena's ear was meant to be and shouted:
“OR TO BRING UP THOSE SLIPPING GRADES MISS TSUKINO!”
Needless to say Serena awoke abruptly, bringing up her head so fast she hit the bottom of Miss Haruna's chin, making the elder woman bite her tongue hard. She stalked away again, holding her chin, trying to speak with her bruised tongue. She went behind her desk and pulled out a basket full of legs and arms. Many of the students became more interested and stuck out their necks to see into the basket.
“In here are your prodects, or your thilden rader.” Those who were good at translating would have realised Miss Haruna said: In here are your projects or your children rather.”
She took out a baby, obviously plastic but dressed as if it was for real. It was wrapped in a pink blanket maybe indicating it was a girl, a tuft of curly brown hair on its forehead and rosy cheeks. Its eyes were closed as if happy to be tucked into a soft warm blanket.
“Dese babies are speshally mabe to act like weal babies: it will cry, ask thor attenshion and whatever else.” She noticed members of her class looking lost and confused, obviously because of her recent speech impediment. So she turned around to write the rest of her explanation on the board. She turned around still holding her chin and pointed to Serena.
“Wead,” she said. Luckily Serena understood and she moved to the board.
“These babies have a chip inside them that counts how many times they've cried, been fed, and been changed all because of certain points on the body. So pressing these points will not work because it is only the tools you use that will be provided for you that will count.” Miss Haruna got up and hurriedly wiped the board and scribbled again.
“So Serena,” Serena read, and she blushed in embarrassment and anger. “It is no use pushing your finger in its mouth because the chip will recognise it is not the bottle that you're meant to use.” The class laughed and Miss Haruna moved to wipe the board again, her thick tongue hanging out of her mouth.
“I have paired you up together and Serena will go around handing out babies and calling out pairs to come forward.” The teacher handed Serena a list and the basket, glaring at her as she rubbed her chin.
Serena smirked. She had already seen her future daughter and Rini was an alright kid…so natural motherly instinct would come…well…naturally.
“Chris and Tanya.” Serena called out. A blonde boy and a brunette girl came up to the front. Serena handed them a baby boy. Tanya took the baby rather roughly and ran back to her seat. Chris look slightly lost before turning to follow the girl.
“Joseph and Sarah.” The black haired boy took the baby girl handed to him and held it out at arms length, upside down, as if deciding which way up it was meant to go. Sarah snatched the baby away from him and cradled it herself lovingly.
“James and Molly.” Serena's best friend walked forward. She took the baby and offered it to James who looked away in disgust.
Serena handed out the rest of the children. She was paired up with Melvin, who looked positively excited. He kept wringing his hands together and his eyes (even though hidden behind thick glasses) widened in awe. He opened his arms ready to receive his child. When he did he cradled it in his arms, rocking it and making cooing noises, even though the baby was plastic. He wasn't like some of the others who refused to touch the babies. He was respectable and was holding it the right way up. Miss Haruna scribbled on the board again.
“This is a joint effort,” Serena read. “You are now parents and married to your partner. This is real life. At the end of the two weeks the one who showed Baby the most love and feedings etc will get high grades. To activate the babies pull the plastic tag out of its mouth.”
The room was immediately full of wailing and crying from the newly awoken babies. Many rocked their children which quietened the howling but some tried shouting at it or pulling funny…more like scary faces.
The bell rang for lunch and Serena's stomach growled under the commotion of a horde of school kids, crying and shouting. She looked over to Melvin and noticed he was content with the baby so she grabbed her things and left.
**********
Serena sat under the tree in the schoolyard with Ami, Mina and Lita. They were all munching Lita's food who had happily cooked for all of them.
“So what's your end of term project Ami?” Serena asked, pieces of chocolate cake flying out of her mouth. Ami wiped her face politely and answered Serena.
“I have to bandage a person properly as if they were in critical condition. Medicinal Studies is quiet easy though so I don't think I have to study.”
Serena's mouth stopped mid-chew and Mina and Lita looked at her as if she had swallowed a donkey. Ami just carried on eating oblivious to their stares. Mina shook herself out of her trance.
“Anyway…what's your project `Rena?” Serena swallowed her bite with a loud gulp, not looking at Mina.
“I have to look after a baby with my…husband,” she whispered as she saw Melvin coming closer, looking quite happy. Mina obviously got the wrong idea.
“You have a husband!? So when did you and Darien tie the knot?! How dare you not tell us!”
“A husband honey? We're not married yet. Is there something you want to ask me?” a male voice asked. All four of them jumped and looked up. Darien was there or rather Tuxedo Mask, lying down on a branch like a panther. His hat and mask weren't on so he was easier to see. Serena was about to smile up at him and question why he was stalking her in the middle of the school day but figured Melvin would think it weird if she smiled up at a tree and began talking to it as he came closer.
“Serena, honey! I've been looking all over for you. Ayla was calling for her mommy.” Serena blanched but her cheeks brought up a nice shade of red. She could hear Darien's quiet chuckling above her and noticed that her friends were trying to keep straight faces while eating.
“Er, Melvin, erm Ayla seems pretty happy with you right now. So erm if you could just-“ but Melvin cut in.
“Oh no! No! I heard her say mamma. So naturally I brought her to you. She probably wants breast feeding or something-“ he pointed towards Serena's chest and then put his hand to his own, making squeezing motions.
“And I'm obviously not kitted out for that department you know?”
Serena watched as Ami choked and Lita opened her jumper to look down it, pretending to look for something, but obviously laughing from her red ears and slight shudders. Darien was laughing too from the way leaves kept falling down despite there being no wind…
She got up quickly and took the baby who looked up at her with wide green eyes and a smile. It was gurgling through its animated mouth and bubbles kept blowing out of it.
“What have you been feeding it Melvin? Soap?” Serena asked.
“Now, now Serena honey. We have a girl, not an `it'. And no, babies can't eat soap Serena. She's blowing bubbles because she's happy to be with her mamma. Isn't that right baby? Huh? Yes it is! Coochie coochie coo!” he replied, tickling the baby's chin, making it go overtime on the bubble blowing.
“And another thing,” he said as Serena looked down in disgust at her soaked arm. “I've arranged our honeymoon. I've just realised we're married and that means we have to spend some…more `together time' don't you think?” He winked at her and kissed her cheek affectionately, something he definitely wouldn't do on a normal school day and walked away, but not before kissing “Ayla” as well. This baby thing was showing a whole new side to him. Molly would not like this situation…
The leaves had stopped falling. Darien wasn't laughing anymore. Quite the opposite, he was growling. Serena moved back to the tree and looked up at her boyfriend, the baby quietening down.
“You ok muffin?” she asked ignoring the moving bundle in her arms.
“Oh yeah I am. But he won't be.” Darien replied. He stood up on the branch trying to see Melvin. “If he lays a finger on you-“
“Darienhoneydarlingsweetiemuffinbaby-“ she called sweetly and quickly, despite the wolf whistles and laughter of her friends. She was trying to get him to concentrate on her for just a few seconds.
“Melvin is a good friend only. Full stop. He's playing around.” She reasoned to him, as he reluctantly relaxed on the branch again.
“I hope.”
*************
The baby had to be taken into the rest of her lessons and with the combined crying of her child and her snores, she obviously got in trouble.
“Miss Tsukino! Turn that thing off!” one of her teachers called out. Serena sorely wished she could but unfortunately she had to treat it like a real baby and not drop it on its head.
She crawled home, the baby on her back, her head a mixture of baby terms and detention dates. Her mother opened the door as she couldn't reach her key. She crawled up the stairs and collapsed on her bed.
Silence.
Glorious, wonderful, blissful…
Crying.
The baby woke up, its mechanical arms moving up and down. To top it off, Luna arrived staring at Serena as she pulled the child off of her back.
“Is it time already Serena?” Luna asked as she sniffed the baby curiously. The baby giggled and its mechanical arms hit Luna on the head. Serena sighed.
“Luna do that again…maybe for the next 7 hours, that'll be great.” Luna moved back in disgust and the baby started up crying again.
“I am not doing your work for you! This is a baby Serena, a huge responsibility. How do you expect to mother Rini in the future?” Luna had obviously hit a nerve as one started pulsing in Serena's forehead.
“You saying I can't look after a child let alone my own?” she asked quietly. Luna meowed and moved to the end of the bed. Serena put Ayla down on the bed watching as the child kicked and moved its arms.
“Alright baby, erm, lets er sing a song. Yeah let's sing!” she promptly began to sing through the alphabet which stopped the raving child for a few minutes before it opened its small mouth and a huge sound issued from it.
Serena tried pulling faces but the wailing got louder. She tried getting her teddies and making a play out of them but Ayla was not interested.
“You're just not stimulating enough Serena!” Luna yelled over the wailing.
“Well you try looking after a machine!” she shouted back. She turned to go to her door but slipped on one of her shoes on the floor. There was silence from the loud crash and Luna knew better than to speak. Unlike Ayla.
“Mamma…goo, goo, ga, ga…ha ha ha.”
The baby…no…machine was laughing at her.
She arose slowly and went to pick up the baby, her face red and lifted the child above her head. Luna obviously thought Serena had finally lost it and interjected hastily.
“Now, now Serena,” she called gently. “Don't do anything rash. It is a baby after all. She's helpless.” Serena gave a look to Luna that must have said `are you kidding me?' because she added “Just a suggestion.” Serena turned back to the still laughing baby.
“You think that funny huh?” there was silence again as though the baby was contemplating the answer. Of course it was a string of ha ha's as a reply. She put the laughing child back on the bed and moved to walk away again this time tripping over Luna who had moved from the bed to avoid Serena.
The baby laughed louder than before, its chubby mechanical arms moving up and down. Serena sat up on her elbow on the floor, drumming her fingers.
“So baby likes to see people getting hurt huh?”
She got a gurgle for her response.
“Luna, you're gonna help me.”
^^^^
Serena crawled to her bed, Ayla sleeping on the floor in a makeshift one. She curled up in the covers, body bruised, head hurting, still in school uniform at 10 o'clock in the evening.
***********
Tuesday wasn't any better. Melvin kept coming up to her, either trying to give her the baby, scold her for not taking more part in the life of their baby or give her the dates of their “honeymoon”. Darien kept coming to her saying Melvin needs to watch that he won't become castrated one day. Serena didn't even dare tease him about being jealous. Plus her family and friends weren't helping either. After taking
“Ayla” to the Crown she vowed never to go back with a baby.
Ayla kept crying and Andrew commented it was definitely her baby because they had the same set of lungs. Serena replied that she had Andrew's green eyes and Darien wouldn't take too kindly to hearing his best friend going after his girl. He turned pale and backed off. Darien's mood swings weren't something he wanted to contend with right now.
Raye kept jeering Serena making snide, unhelpful comments:
As the baby was crying: “Serena shut up! Oh no that's the baby…”
As Serena was about to cry over her spilt milkshake: “Does baby want a bottle? Yes I am talking to you Serena…”
A statement said for no reason: “At least handling a baby makes you more responsible. Now maybe you can turn up on time for meetings!”
Both Serena and baby ran out crying.
She ran to the park and sat on a bench by the lake. Looking after “Ayla” was quite easy; there was just a certain way to care for her. She felt she was getting the hang of this baby thing. Ayla cried less, laughed more, was being fed more and changed more (she needed it). Ayla even started calling her mamma more frequently towards the end of the day. She rocked the bundle in her arms, not caring how wrong it must look to passers-by, listening to the soft snores, until the peace was disturbed.
“Serena! Where have you been?” Melvin rounded the bushes and stormed towards the girl on the bench with the baby who was making uncomfortable noises. He grabbed the baby from Serena and began rocking her back to sleep, who had been rudely awakened.
“I thought you ran away with the baby! Don't scare me like that! You two mean the world to me!” Serena rolled her eyes and handed the baby bag to Melvin.
“You know what Melvin; you're taking this way too seriously. Sure there's a point of seriousness but anything after that is called ridiculousness-ness.”
Melvin furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
“Serena there is no word such as-“
“I know, I know. I just realised,” she cut in covering up her mistake. “I'm going back to the café so I can have a normal evening. I believe I have looked after our child all day. Mamma deserves a break.” She pulled a face at the baby who laughed then she walked away feeling pretty good with herself, despite Ayla's yells of
`mamma!'
Looking after a baby was a two person job right? Of course with a real child she wouldn't dream of abandoning it for her own pleasures. But hey, this was a plastic, moving doll and Melvin seemed perfectly capable to look after it.
Melvin screwed up his face in anger and turned the other way.
“That's right we don't need mommy do we honey?” the baby stopped crying to blow a raspberry and continued crying afterwards.
Melvin walked away angrier than before.
***********
On Wednesday school went as normal (fall asleep, shouted at, given detention, next lesson, fall asleep, shouted at so on and so forth) only Serena didn't see Melvin or Ayla around. When she did it was like he was hiding from her with the baby, giving her contemptuous glances. She didn't really mind: it just meant that she had detention for sleeping and not two for sleeping and having a crying child.
Wednesday evening however was a lot different. She had gone to the café, baby-less so Raye couldn't comment and was enjoying spending time with her friends. Darien wasn't here because he was studying for a test. But that was all well and good for Melvin walked in and if Darien had been around Prince Endymion and his sword might have had to come into play…
He marched over to Serena's table, the girls laughing together until they saw Melvin and went deadly quiet. Serena looked up at him, confusion at his angry face.
“Melvin?” she asked tentatively.
He immediately went into a rant as if he was a wife in an emotional, neglected relationship.
“Where have you been Serena? All I do these days is look after the baby. You don't visit, you don't call and I think its time you spent some quality time with your child.”
Serena turned bright red with embarrassment, her friends' bright red from holding their laughter in. By now the whole café was watching them, some of them actually believing they were together and the bundle in his arms was a real baby.
“I cook, I clean, I work and where are you all day? Drinking down in the café.” He made it sound out as if she was an alcoholic in a bar, who never liked to come home and never spent time with her family. Somebody tittered in the background and Serena turned to glare at them.
“You're a bad influence but I see it bad to let little Ayla here not see her mommy. She's been calling for you all day unfortunately.” Sure enough little Ayla was saying mamma over and over, much to Melvin's disgust.
“I'll be contacting my lawyer about our divorce.” He added, putting Ayla over his shoulder patting her back and satisfied at her burp. “Also I will inquire about custody but I really don't want to fight over our baby. If anything I'll look after Ayla and visitation rights will be sorted out for you if you wish to see her. If you don't comply with my requests, because I am in the right here, I'm afraid I will have to have the Child Support Agency onto you so you can pay for Ayla's weekly things and future University income.” He turned away to walk to the door. Everybody turned their heads to follow him. He looked at her sadly, almost longingly.
“You could've had this Serena,” he said indicating his body by gesturing with his hand. “But you lost out and pushed me away. You'll never realise how good I am or how good I was. Good bye Serena. We were great together but now we must part.” And with a theatrical turn of his head and body he left the café calmly.
Everybody turned to look at Serena.
“What?” she asked looking round. “You telling me you've never fallen out with your husband before?” and she sank down into her seat and drank her milkshake, chewing the straw brutally.
*************
Of course what week would be complete without a youma attack? And a baby to look after? Mommy Melvin decided that Daddy Serena could have Ayla on Friday so she was free on Thursday.
She spent that time with Darien, consoling him, and reassuring him by saying she would only ever marry him and only ever have children with him. She assessed him as a bit delirious as he immediately turned to her and said:
“Lets make babies. But wait, are you sure that Ayla isn't Andrew's? She has the same green eyes…It can't be that Melbin's…she's too pretty a baby. Get Andrew to take a paternity test, until then my genes are not being spread…but then again Ayla could be mine. I mean like Rini's got pink hair and red eyes…who's to say Ayla is any different? But then when would we have made out to have Ayla…?”
That was not the Darien she knew.
Friday rolled around and Melvin made Serena have Ayla all day. He said that he would take her for the weekend because they were going to the Mommy and Baby Annual Convention downtown.
*OK…*
School wasn't too bad. She was able to keep the baby content by bouncing it on her knee while taking notes for her classes. The teachers didn't seem to mind as long as there wasn't this constant wailing: from Serena or from the baby.
She gave the arcade a miss, considering her events in there already and went straight home, Ayla gurgling happily in the baby stroller Melvin had bought.
`It tells you when she needs changing, feeding, playing with. It has suspension brakes, 1.5 litre engines at the bottom, indicators, airbags, seatbelts, rear and side view mirrors and every other safety feature for a stroller. Also as added bonuses a radio with 6 pre-set stations, a CD-player and a tape player for all of her favourite songs! Her favourite is a song I made up: “Daddy is the greatest”.'
*Righty-o then…*
She had just got in and began feeding Ayla with the high chair that Melvin told her to specifically use when her communicator went off.
`No, not now. I'm not losing this grade to some nega-creeps.'
She picked up the communicator reluctantly, Mercury's face appearing.
“Moon, we need your help! Three youmas are attacking people in the park, parents in particular, and we need an extra pair of hands. You ok to bring Ayla?”
Serena looked over to the gurgling baby, its arms moving up and down.
She couldn't very well leave the baby…Melvin would have Social Services onto her in three seconds flat. And she couldn't give her to Melvin either: he'd accuse her of neglecting her duties as a mother and take Ayla for good. And she couldn't give the baby to her mom without giving her an explanation as to why she had to rush off so fast.
“Sure we're on our way.” She replied. She grabbed Ayla and ran to her room where she transformed.
“Moon Crystal Power!” she transformed in an array of multicoloured lights and did her stance as Sailor Moon. Ayla really looked like she had a shocked, awed look on her face, something she learned from her father when she was `born'. Sailor Moon picked her up and tucked her into a bag which she then threw on her back. She moved to the window ready to jump out.
“You like mommy's transformation huh baby?” she whispered. Ayla just laughed and moved her arms up and down again, making gurgling noises. Sailor Moon just shook her head and leapt off into the evening, mechanical legs and arms kicking into her back, gurgling noises sounding in her head all the way.
***********
The youma, for once, were three beautiful women but each with a different element.
There was one who had leaves for hair and each of her eyelashes was pine needles. It also looked like she had bark for skin and her eyes were a deep green, an earth youma. Another had flames for hair, smaller flames for her eyelashes and fingernails but glowing red eyes and skin, a fire youma. And the last one had a mass of white cloud for hair but an icy blue complexion. She had white eyes with tiny icicles that pointed upwards for eyelashes, a wind and ice youma.
And they were all naked but you couldn't see anything vital, more like that period of nakedness when the girls transformed. Despite this, Sailor Moon still covered Ayla's eyes.
“Not until you're older young lady,” she whispered and she could have sworn she heard a sigh of defeat. She stepped onto the battle field to deliver her speech.
“How dare you interrupt the time between child and parents! That time is sacred and precious! I am Sailor Moon, champion of justice and in the name of the Moon, I will punish you!” Ayla gurgled happily at the end, ruining her speech.
“It is a pleasure to meet you Sailor Moon,” the fire woman called. “Allow us to introduce ourselves now. I am Mother Fire.”
“I am Mother Windy,” called the icy one.
“And I,” said the one with bark like skin. “Am Mother Earth.” All of
them just stood around looking at each other.
“So are we gonna fight or what?” Mars shouted and the battle began.
It was kind of hard to dodge pointy icicles, fireballs and vines with a baby on your back but somehow Sailor Moon managed to do it, weaving in between the vines, ducking the icicles and pulling her hair out of the way of the fireballs that were still chasing her.
Ayla seemed to think this a game and laughed louder than she ever had before, even over all the commotion of attack shouting and groans of pain. All three youmas turned to Sailor Moon and the small bundle on her back. They all chuckled and Mother Earth ripped the bag off of Sailor Moon's back from behind and caught it as it was thrown to her.
Ayla promptly began to make whimpering noises as if she knew this was not right and Mother Earth lifted her out with a scaly hand, holding her upside down with one leg. Ayla cried her mechanical arms and legs moving again.
Sailor Moon stopped and looked up at the baby. That was her project up there! And she was going to get an A+ damnit! No…it wasn't just a project…it was almost like a real baby, HER baby and screw her if anybody was going to hurt her mechanical baby! She stood and faced all three elements. Mother Earth noticed Sailor Moon's sudden determination.
“Surely this thing can't mean anything to you?” She asked, swinging Ayla like a pendulum, her crying still issuing.
Sailor Moon imagined it was Rini up there…crying her eyes out, being swung like a toy, calling for her mommy who WAS going to rescue her. Mechanical or real, this was war.
“Nobody,” she whispered pulling up her boots and pulling on her gloves tighter. “And I mean nobody touches…the…baby.” And she suddenly charged with surprising speed and swiftness heading for Mother Earth.
“Sailor Moon no!” Tuxedo Mask shouted out as he arrived on the scene.
“Don't get yourself killed for a robot!”
But this was what she wanted. The other two `Mothers' were distracted by Tuxedo Masks' timely appearance.
“Mars! Mercury! Take out the pyro and frostbite over there! Now!” She shouted still moving for Mother Earth. Mars and Mercury caught on and used their elements as opposites.
“Mars…Fireballs…Surround!”
“Mercury…Bubbles…Blast!”
The damp fog slowly put out Mother Fire's flames whereas Mars' fireballs made Mother Windy reduce to steam. All that was left of them were two gems. Unfortunately for her, one of the fireballs hit Mother Earth and being vulnerable to fire she immediately caught on. It spread like wildfire to her arm where Ayla was still hanging.
“I got you Ayla!” Sailor Moon yelled as she made a fantastic leap into the air and grabbed the crying baby from Mother Earth's burning clutches. She landed just as gracefully with Ayla tucked in her arms, gurgling happy again.
Mother Earth's body was twisting into weird shapes as she burned. Sailor Moon stood up placing Ayla at her feet, Moon Sceptre in hand.
“I told you not to touch the baby,” Sailor scolded. “Now look what you've done.” And to add injury to insult, Ayla blew a raspberry.
“Why you little-“ Mother Earth started but Sailor Moon cut her off angrily.
“Please, have you no manners? There are young children present!” and
Sailor Moon proceeded to dust Mother Earth and the two gems, Ayla perfectly happy again.
**********
Serena climbed back through her window and dusted herself off. She had de-transformed at Darien's apartment, who was now a little saner and Ayla, her little robotic self exhausted from the day's events fell asleep promptly. She was still sleeping as she tucked her into her little bed.
`Complete with baby monitor, fridge, extra bottle, diapers and a musical mobile.'
`Melvin needs to get a life,' she thought sadly.
She left the room quietly and went downstairs cleaning up the mess she had started. That's when she found a note from her mom.
`Serena
Firstly my kitchen is a state. You know what to do. Secondly there's
a letter for you from a Melvin on the table.
Hugs and kisses xxx
Mom'
She dropped the plate she was washing and saw the brown envelope on the table. It was definitely addressed to her and it was definitely Melvin's untidy scrawl. She opened the letter apprehensively and skimmed it through.
The divorce papers had arrived.
***********
“Serena and Melvin!” Miss Haruna called, now able to speak properly. The two walked into the empty classroom and sat in the two seats in front of her desk. She took their baby (after a grapple with Melvin) and opened up a small compartment in her back. Melvin howled in anguish as Miss Haruna took out Ayla's chip. She ignored him completely and read the readings. She looked quite surprised.
“Well you two, out of ten your overall baby's happiness is…ten.” Miss Haruna looked at Serena suspiciously. “What'd you do to it?”
Before she could speak however, Melvin cut in.
“Not her, Miss Haruna. I did all the work. I bought clothes, milk, food, extra bottles we even had some together time!” he sounded desperate to receive some recognition.
“So why does it say `Favourite word: mamma'? Is there something you're not telling me Melvin?” He blushed deep red and shook his hard quickly. Miss Haruna nodded in satisfaction.
“All I'm going to do is ask one of you two a question, then that will give you both of your grades overall depending on your partner's answer. Serena-“ she smiled at her sweetly. Serena and Melvin blanched.
“What if you had a highly important job Serena? What would you do with your baby?” Serena smiled, knowing the answer to such a simple question and trying not to laugh at Melvin's ashen face.
“Popular to contrary belief I have a highly important job and I took Ayla with me and she thoroughly enjoyed it. But if I could help it, I'd never let it get in the way of the relationship between my child and I. I'd take time off to be with them because in the end it may only seem like a day to you but to them it seems like a lifetime.”
Miss Haruna regarded her closely and smiled slightly.
“Nice answer Tsukino. You'll get an A after all. You can leave now.”
And so she did thinking that she couldn't wait for the day when her own Rini would come.
