[ P - Pre-Teen ]

I stared out the small window of the bakery. The day was cold today the snow fell softly. I could see myself outside it. I had a big happy smile on my face; she was staring at the girl in her arms. The girl's name was Mina. She had long gorgeous blonde hair. Her face was sweet and innocent. Her smile told everyone she was in the only place she wanted to be for the rest of her life. Any one on the street could see they were hopelessly in love. Mina took the cigarette out of Rei's hand and dropped it in a puddle. Rei grinned Mina returned the grin with a playful smile. We shared a soft kiss and walked down the street hand in hand. I got up and hurried outside. My eyes searched the streets I couldn't see us anywhere where did we go? Oh yes I was walking Mina home. I hurried up Queen's avenue. Finally I had caught up to us. I could hear Mina's voice, soft and sweet.
"It's Christmas Eve tonight"could see myself smile.
"I know, did u get me anything?"
"Of course silly!" the both of us laughed.
"I got u something too."
"Really what is it?"
"Oh I can't tell u, it wouldn't be a surprise."smiled, "you're right I can wait until tomorrow."
"What time do you wanna go out?"
"Hmm I guess I could call you at eight." I could see myself smile.
"Okay I will wait." Mina grinned they reached number 146. They walked up the walkway and to the front doorstep. sighed, "Until tomorrow night then?"
"Yes" their lips met softly but Mina's warmth lingered on Rei's lips. Mina went inside the house. I took a good look at it. The windows were darkened unlike how they were then so dark and forbidding. Tears filled my eyes as I waited outside the house for someone to come out. I could hear her footsteps softly moving toward me. I looked and I could see her gorgeous golden mane cascading over her shoulders. A soft breeze came with flurries of snow she vanished in the soft crystals of it. The tears spilled out of the lids in my eyes. I walked down to brook street to my house. I looked in my window today was a different day. I could see myself sitting on the couch watching the clock9:00 pm why hadn't Mina called yet? My face was distressed I saw myself pic up the phone dialling Mina's number. I could here her mothers voice ringing in my ears.
"hello Aino residence."
"hellois Mina there please?"
"she left with Usagi 30 minutes ago to meet up with you."
"really?"
"yes if you hurry you should be able to catch up to them."
"okay thank youbye." I could see myself rush out the doornot even grabbing a jacket. Why hadden't Mina told me the change of plans? I could see myself run down the street. I followed. I hurried around town for awhile calling out her name. I heard it softlyher voice calling me it was from by the lakeI hurried towards her voice. As I came closer to the lake I could see the police cars the do not cross lines I crossed them. My heart was pounding I could see myself walking slower towards the three people. I could see Usagi and her boyfriend hurry away. I hurried up I could see Mina lying on the ground blood I could see all the blood. As these memories flooded thru my mind I ranran away from this placeimages of her lying there her blood darkening the snowI could see myself holding her searching for her cell phone I could feel her cold body soft but cold the bruises darkening her body her eyes open and glassy the faint slowing pulse in her veins. Her fading breath I couldn't make out what the operator was saying tears blurred my vision. I stopped running and I looked around me I was in the graveyard by her grave I fell down. My breath was in short gaspsI lie there in the snow looking up and I can see her name carved in the stone. I cry with anger how could this happen to her? She didn't deserve it. I remember back to the days of school the day with the police everything was a blur nothing was right It would never be im lost without her
