This is a one-shot that I wrote on Serena's and Darien's break up. I hope you like it.

I'm Sorry.

Darien walked aimlessly around the park thinking of his heartbreak and the heartbreak he had caused. Had been walking for hours and yet, there was nothing he could think of but her. Everything but her. She was his life, his light, and now, he threw her as if she was nothing all for a simple dream.

He walked back to his car and started his engin, he changed his gear and sped of the parking lot his attantion on one place only.

Suddenly a song started to play:

*We both know that I shouldn't be here
This is wrong

Both of us trying to be strong
I've got somewhere else to be

Someone else who loves me
And trusts me fast asleep
I've made up my mind

She's been good to me

He bit his lips to stop the tear that threaten to come. Sure there was no one who could love him the way she did. She

had always been good to him, but he didn't tell her what she deserved to know.

*It's the hardest thing
I'll ever have to do
To look you in the eye
And tell you I don't love you

I'll ever have to lie
To show no emotion

Tears filled his eyes remembering how he have treated her for the past few weeks. He remembered how he told he never loved her when he did, lying through his teeth. How cold he was when she cried begging him to tell her what she had done wrong to make it right. He had told her they were never meant to be together that he couldn't live just so destiny said so.

*I know that we'll meet again
Fate has a place and time
So you can get on with your life
I've got to be cruel to be kind
Like Dr. Zhivago
All my love I'll be sending
And you will never know
There can be no happy ending *

They started to fall down his checks as he reached where he wanted to be the most. He realized that the rain falling heavily

as sat and watch it.

*Maybe another time, another day
As much as I want to, I can't stay
(Ooh)
I've made up my mind
There is no turning back
She's been good to me
And she deserves better than that

I don't want to live a lie
what can I do *

He had told himself that he will not turn back from his mission, but now, he can't take it. He can't live

Without. He couldn't walk away pretending as if he didn't love it. He didn't want to lie to her and he didn't want to lie to his heart.

He got out of his car and walked to where he knew her room was. He claimed the tree feeling the cold rain sock him to the core. He didn't care though, because his heart was in one place and on some one. Slowly looked through the open window to see her sleeping with dried tears on her face. He felt his heart break into million pieces as he saw the sad face she held as she slept. He slowly walked to her side and ran his hand over her face that he missed so much to touch. He felt her stir and looked down at her to see her crystal eyes gazing at him. Tears filled his eyes as he gazed into her broken soul. He could feel her pain and her sorrow that she had gone through for the past weeks.

"I'm so sorry. Please forgive me." He begged as lay his head on her stomach. Tears ran down his face as he explained about his dreams. How he had to pretend as if he didn't love her and how it broke his heart to see her cry. "Please don't hate me. I didn't know what to do." His body shook as he cried like a lost child. He cried like he had never cried before.

Serena just lay there running her finger through his hair comforting him as much as she could. She knew something was holding him, and now, he told her and she understood his fright, his doubt. She slowly sat up and brushed his tears from his eyes. Tears didn't seem right to his eyes. She saw the hope and pain that lay in his soul.

"Please don't cry." She begged as she got out of bed and kneeled next to him, pulling him into her arms.

"How can you forgive so fast?" he asked awed by her compassion.

"I will forgive you forever." She whispered as she leaned in and kissed him softly. He wrapped his arms around her, cherishing every minute of it. He will never let her go. Ever.
