Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ Keeping Up Appearances ❯ Chapter Four ( Chapter 4 )
Part IV

Haruka looked out the window of her hotel room. It was so strange being back in Japan after a year. She looked away and walked over to the bassinet. "Hi, baby," she said softly as her she realized her daughter was awake. The baby cooed at her mother and reached for her long locks as she was lifted into the air. "You slept the whole way like a good baby."
"She's awake?" Michi asked as she walked into bedroom of the suite.
"Yes and hungry too," Haruka answered as she sat down and began to breastfeed.
Michi smiled and sighed in jealous content. She hoped to have a family of her own someday. However, it looked impossible now that the person in her life was gone. They didn't take to well when she told them that she was leaving to look after Haruka. It was probably better off that way; she wanted to be their number one choice not number two.
"They 're early," Haruka replied in response to the excited knocks at the door. "You know Serena."
"Well I'm sure Hortaru had something to do with it," Michi smiled as she put away her sad thoughts and answered the door.
"Michi-momma!" Hortaru squealed as she ran through then door.
"I missed you, Ta-chan," Michi replied as she hugged her ward.
"Hey, Michiru," the others greeted as they came inside the sitting room. "Where's Haruka?"
Michi smiled. "She'll be out in a minute."
They all began to talk and catch up on the past year. Haruka took a deep breath inside the bedroom and walked out. "Hi everyone."
"Hi…" everybody's eyes widened as they looked at the baby snuggling in her mother's arms.
"You and Michi got married and had a baby in America?" Serena asked curiously.
"We're friends," Michi replied trying to keep from laughing.
"This is my daughter," Haruka replied as she moved closer. "Her name is Zoe."
"How cute," the girls gushed as they all crowed around the baby.
Zoe smiled as she looked at all the attention and new faces.
"Haruka…." Serena began.
"I got involved and had a baby. We're not talking," Haruka interrupted sensing where the rest of Serena's sentence was going.
A tense silence hung around the room for a second as they all stared at Zoe. "She has beautiful green eyes. They are an unusual shade of green." Lita commented.
"Such a cutie," Mina added as she tickled Zoe under her chin and watched her grin.
"Haruka, we're throwing you a baby shower," Serena announced.
"Good idea, Meatball head," Rei congratulated as Serena stuck her tongue out.
"Yes," the others agreed.
"I don't think…" Haruka began.
"We're involved and we're going to do it anyway," Serena interrupted with a smile.
Haruka shook her head in surprise. "Okay then."
The others smiled as they started to plan.
"Well, Zoe, looks like we're going to a party," she commented as she kissed the baby on the forehead. "You are a cutie."

"Hi, I'm Serena Tsukino and I'm dropping off the deposit on the floral arrangements I ordered."
The young man punched a few keys on the computer and error message appeared on the screen. "I have to get my manager."
Serena sighed and waited as the teenager went to get the manager. She perked up as a handsome well-dressed man walked over to her. "I'm Zoicite Sukio. I own this establishment and I can assure you we will find your records," he replied as he bowed deeply.
Serena smiled as she looked into his eyes. "Man, am I glad when he and Malachite were reborn we didn't dust him." "Thank you, Mr. Sukio."
Zoicite went to the computer and did a search on the computer to find the file. Serena looked at him dreamily. "He's still not as cute as Darien," she thought as she looked at him. "He has such a beautiful shade of green. I've never seen that shade except with…Zoe?"
Serena cleared her throat. "These arrangements are for a party I'm throwing for a friend. She moved to the US a year ago and just came back yesterday," Serena commented casually trying to gage his response. When she didn't see one she decided to up the stakes some more the be sure "It's great to have Haruka and Michiru back again…"
Zoicite's eyes widened. "Did you say Haruka and Michiru?"
"Yes do you know them?" Serena asked innocently.
"Haruka and I used to be friends," he replied simply in tone that seemed regretful.
"Then why don't you come with me to the park to see her again for old times sake. We're having a barbecue in the park," Serena pleaded.
"I.."
"There's no time like the present," Serena began as she grabbed him and started leading him to the park.
At Hi Sakura Park, the others were laughing and talking about the shower and the day's events. Haruka watched them wistfully as she and Zoe sat on a blanket. Michi had gone off to run some errands, so she sat alone playing with Zoe as she scooted on her tummy. "You're trying to crawl to mommy?" she asked as she picked Zoe up and hugged her. Haruka had never imagined motherhood to ever make her so happy. Zoe brought about new feelings in her that she never imagined. She couldn't help but be proud of her. "Soon you'll be walking and talking. Of course boys will come but I'll never let them hurt you, k Zoe-chan?"
"Haruka…"
Haruka paused a second and then turned around. "Zoicite…"
Zoicite tried to fight the impulse to crush her in his arms. He had spent the better part of the year looking for her, but her job would not tell him where she was or how to get in touch with her. The most he could get out of the neighbors was that she moved somewhere far away. He stopped short when he saw the infant in her arms. "Could it?"
He took the baby from her arms and looked into the green eyes of his daughter. "How old is she? When did you? What's her name?"
Haruka took a deep breath. "She's five months and her name is Zoe," Haruka answered as she watched him hold the baby awkwardly. "You have to support her head, like this," she instructed as she placed Zoe in his arms the proper way.
"She's beautiful," he sighed. He placed his face close to Zoe's and kissed her.
"Thank you," Haruka replied as she looked at him playing the baby. "I meant to…"
"I want to talk to you alone," he interrupted. "We'll bring the baby with us."
"Ok," she replied taking a deep breath and picking up her and Zoe's belongings. This was not time to argue and let everyone know her business. She looked towards everybody who casually looked around as if they haven't been listening. "I'll be back."
"Take your time," Lita winked. The others crossed their fingers.
"By the gods they are incorrigible," she thought as she and Zoicite walked away.
About ten minutes after they left, Michiru walked up to the group of friends eager talking about what had just happened. "Hi, everybody," she greeted as she held the hand of her lover.
"Hi," Ami said as the couple came up. "You just missed Haruka."
"K…then I'll tell her later," Michiru began as though she were about burst with information. "I want to introduce you to someone. This is Malachite…my fiancée."
~*~*~*~
Zoe slept in her travel bassinet peacefully as her parents sat on the couch in silence. "Why didn't you tell me?" Zoicite asked.
"After we had the fight, I thought you didn't want anything to do with me," she answered. "I was going to come and see you…"
"When? When you were about to leave?" he asked hurtfully.
Haruka blushed as she turned away. That was exactly what she planned to do. Tell him and run, hoping that he would not try to take Zoe away from her. "I thought you at least deserved to know. I didn't want to deprive her knowing that she had two parents that were alive."
"I want to be part of her life," Zoicite said as he moved closer to her.
"What are you doing?" Haruka asked as she became aware of his closeness.
"Trying to become a part of your life," he replied as he stood and pulled her to her feet. "What was said last time shouldn't have been," he said as she lifted her in his arms. He carried her to the bedroom and laid her down. "I want to make it up to you."
Haruka turned her head away from him and he turned it gently towards him. He kissed her deeply as he pushed back on the bed. "Mmmm," she moaned gently as he caressed her swollen breasts. She had grown from B cup to a D due to her pregnancy. Zoicite unbuttoned her shirt and kissed the hollows of neck towards her belly button. He undid her jeans and looked at her tenderly as he removed his shirt. "I love you," he whispered as he nibbled at her neck and ear.
Haruka eyes widened as at his words. She shut them tightly, rolled over on top of him, and straddled him. "No you don't," she whispered in his ear as he eased her pants and panties off.
"Yes, I do, Haru-chan," he replied as he kissed her breasts.
In her pleasure, Haruka threw her head back passionately. Without realizing it she looked towards his nightstand, and saw a post-it with her name on it. "He can't love me, even thought I…" her thoughts trailed as he rolled over on top of her and entered her powerfully. She almost screamed out. It had been quite a while since they had been together even though five months before she had Zoe. It was tighter than she expected, almost virginal.
Zoicite groaned in pleasure at the unexpected tightness and smiled. He was glad to know that she hadn't at least been with another man. "Do you love me?" he asked lowly in her ear as he grinded against her pelvis.
Haruka scratched her nails down his back and sighed in pleasure, but did not answer.
In her response to her silence, he began to move quickly and powerfully with in her, making her hiss in pleasure. He knew she wouldn't be take much more of that before she came. He could feel her vaginal walls tightening around him and her pace changed, trying to encourage him to a slower pace. "No," he whispered as he wrapped her legs around his waist to get more leverage.
"I can't," she whispered as her emotions started to become furthered stirred up.
"Do you love me?" he asked as he continued to push her towards the edge.
Haruka buried her face in his shoulder and a tear started to trickle down her cheek as she lost control. Her orgasm started to haze her vision and she bit her lip to keep some sort of grip of sanity.
Zoicite was not fooled by her silence and knew that she was approaching her peak and moved within her with all his passion and strength. He knew she had about all that she could take, but he had to make it intense. "Do…you…love…me?" he asked in the rhythm of his thrusts. "Tell me truth, Haru-chan. I know you do."
"Yes," she whispered as she spiraled out of control. "Yes, I love you!"
As she answered, Zoicite let go completely as he started down his own peak and they came together in perfect bliss.
"Haru-chan…" he whispered a little later as they both lay half-stunned and numb on the bed. He held her in his arms.
"Yes," she answered softly.
"Do you know why I've been looking for you the past year?"
"You've been looking for me?"
"Yes," he said as he pulled her closer to him.
"I…didn't think that…"
"It's all right," he replied as he kissed her hair. "You can spend the rest of your life making up to me as my wife."
Haruka sat up and looked at him strangely then shook her head. "Just like a man to always take charge," she mumbled as she lay back down in his protective embrace. "I'm not going to be a housewife. I'm not changing anything about me."
"I wouldn't have it any other way," he chuckled.
"And you can make it up to me, the rest of your life as my husband," Haruka corrected as she snuggled up against him. "I always wanted to start my own firm."
Zoicite smiled. He was glad everything was working out. He reached over and pulled velvet box of the nightstand. He removed the ring from inside it and placed it on her finger.
Haruka opened her mouth to question him about when he had bought the ring. "Don't say it," he whispered. "We have a lot of lost time to make up and if you say something else, I'll have to take you again."
"Something el…" she began when he kissed her and rolled over top of her.
"If I could give away the feeling that I feel
If I could sacrifice whatever baby
If I could take a part all that I am
There's anything I would not do
