[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

Hi ALL! This is my first fan-fic so please go easy on me. Anyway I wanna give everybody a brief warning this is a Serena and Darien romance. It does have a little action, but not a lot. So sorry in advance to all you action lovers out there. Just to give everyone a little summary of my romance, It takes place in the first Season, Darien is tuxedo Mask and Serena is Sailor Moon. All the Sailor Scouts are together, but they haven't defeated Beryl yet. However nobody knows Tuxedo Mask's identity yet, and Serena and Darien already have growing feelings for each other. In this story Darien knows more about computers then even Amy, who by the way isn't in this story that much. So also quick sorry to all Amy fans. All right I think that's it. Hmm. thinking. did I leave anything out? Besides the Famous Sailor Moon Disclaimer. Here it goes: I don't own Sailor Moon I never did and I never will. Now that that's all said on with the story!

~* Narrator's POV *~

Darien sat in the Crown Arcade sipping his coffee quietly. He had been doing this since forever. He would come in like he always did and he would have his usual cup of coffee, however somewhere along the line things had changed. Instead of being that dull, lifeless person he had always been, he had a new light in his life. The light's name was Serena Tsukino, or meatball head as he affectionately called her. Even his best friend Andrew hadn't noticed it. That however didn't really surprise him, because he was used to hiding his emotions. Of course Darien would never admit that he liked her. For fear of rejection, but no matter what, he would look at her from a far, and dream. Just dream about what it would be like to have her be his. That was basically what he would do everyday while he waited for her to come. Daydream about her.

His thoughts were cut off by the familiar shriek coming from the entrance. He looked from his coffee and immediately his eyes lit up at the sight of her. There she was his angel. Her appearance was off though; her face didn't have it usual glow. It looked as if she were upset but not sad, just irritated or frustrated? Which to him, and anybody else who knew Serena was a surprise. She had to be one of the kindest nicest people that he had ever met.

~* Darien's POV *~ When I saw my Usako I was completely shocked. She looked so mad. Even I, who had on countless occasions insulted her, had never seen her so. so. god I was speechless. I mean what word does one use when you can see smoke coming out of a person ears and nostrils. For once I was happy that I wasn't the one making her mad because I was sure that if I had been she wouldn't have hesitated to kill me. I even decided to lay off a little on teasing her. I watched as she sat down at the counter. I saw Andrew go to her immediately and concentrated on hearing them. Serena almost always sat at one specific spot near the counter, and the Sailor V game. So I always sat within earshot.

~* Serena's POV *~

"What happened Serena!" Andrew asked leaning on the counter in from of him;

"You seem so mad?" he was concerned. I could tell by his tone.

"OH!" I screamed again. I noticed people were starting to stare.

"I am so mad I could kill that guy!" I said.

"Who?" Andrew asked

"Mark!" I replied. I swear I felt steam coming out of my ears.

"Who's Mark?"

"He WAS my computer adviser, but now he's just as big a jerk as ... as ... as Darien- baka!"

I was so mad I wanted to murder someone, and despise weather I liked the guy or not if that Darien came by me I was going to commit murder. I had just had the worse day, and I knew he was a watching and that it was probably stupid to say that while he was. Insulting the guy first only gave him more of a reason to come over and insult me right back, but I was so mad at Mark. Whatever I could explain it to him later, maybe if I apologized he'd lay off.

Besides I didn't totally hate the guy. I really liked him as a matter of fact. At first I though I only liked him in a big brother kind a way but soon enough that Jet black hair, and those deep blue eyes caught my attention and I was forced to admit to my feelings for him. Not that he needed to know that. He would probably just laugh in my face and hack it off as a stupid schoolgirl crush. As I thought about him I couldn't help but begin to relax and forget about my troubles. Just the thought of him put my mind and body at ease. Until I heard Andrew drag me into reality. With that I remembered Mark, and my laptop, and my hatred toward him!

"Your computer adviser?" Andrew asked curiously.

"Yeah, yea see my parents gave me a really expensive laptop for my birthday," I said thinking about my poor laptop, "Of course being the klutz I am, I dropped it and broke it."

"Well I went to the store to try and get it fixed I was hoping that if I did then maybe, just maybe, I could pay for it myself. I mean I couldn't tell my parents they would freak!"

"So? Couldn't the store fix it?" Andrew asked.

"Oh sure they could," I replied my voice dripping with sarcasm, "for the measly price of $850,needless to say that that was immediately out. So I though about what I could do and decided to see if, Mark, this guy I knew from school, could help me. He's a total computer genus! When he said he would fix it I was totally physced.

"If he said 'he could fix it' then what went wrong?" Andrew interrupted.

"Well he told me it was ready this afternoon, so after school I went to his house to pick it up." I pointed over to the black bag I had been carrying, that contained my laptop.

************************** Flashback **********************

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK! The door swings open. A boy obviously no older than 15 steps out. HE has chestnut brown hair, and green eyes. He's wearing a blue shirt and jeans.

"Hey Mark is my lap top ready?"

"Yeah, I got it down in the basement, come on down," he said leading me through the hour towards the basement, "it's all fixed all you have to do is charge it."

"Really, that's it, oh wow, thanks Mark, you don't know how much this means too me," I said. When we got downstairs I saw the black case/ my laptop sitting on his desk and I went over too it. Just when I was about to get it he stepped in front of me.

"You didn't think I was going to let you get your lap top that easily did you?" he said. I was afraid at first but Mark wasn't very built and I knew that he really didn't pose much of a threat besides that his mother and little sister were upstairs. What was he gonna do.

"If you want your lap top back then it's gonna cost you," he said.

"You said you wouldn't charge me, that you would do it for free!" I said

"I don't want money I want a date," he replied.

"With who?"

"You, I want you to go on at least 3 dates with me, so what do yea say?"

"No!" I screamed.

"Shhhhhhhhhhhhh! He said "don't be so loud or my parents will come down," he said.

"Look give me back my lap top or I'm calling the police, you may have fixed it but it's still mine," I said. I was a little suspicious when he smiled and stepped aside. Quickly I grabbed my computer and made my way to the stairs.

"Oh by the way," he yelled after me as I reached the third step. I turned to him " I hope you don't mind I infected you lap top with a little virus."

"What?!?"

"Yeah, of course I have floppy disk that can kill it but your not getting that unless I get my 4 dates," he said.

"4 I though it was 3?"

"It was 3 now it's 4," he declared smugly.

"You jerk!" with that I left his house fumed. ************************* End Flashback ******************

"Oh wow that really sounds bad Serena, is there anything I can do to help?"

"No," I sighed reluctantly learning into the counter "thanks anyway but unless you know a computer genus, who's willing to work for free then I'm doomed."

"Well what about your friend Amy, she's good with computers," he said.

"I know I thought of her at first too, but Amy's away with her mother on a business conference, she'll be gone for a few months," I sighed depressingly. Not only was my laptop broken but monster attacks had been bad lately especially without Sailor Mercury there to analyze them for weak spots and such.

"Well... I may know one guy,"

"What!" I asked my eyes lit up with hope.

"Yeah he's great with computers, knows everything about them and could probably fix it in a day. Not to mention he would totally do it for free as a favor or something."

"Really, do you really think he would do it?" Oh gods let this guy fix my computer PLEASE!

"Sure just let me call him, hold on" Andrew said, "hey Darien come here would yea!" Andrew shouted to Darien. Darien? What do we need him for? Is he interested in computers, hmm I never knew?

"Hey Andrew, hey Meatball head, what's up? Darien asked

"Don't call me that! Jeez! Can' t you at least learn my name! Despite how much I liked the guy today was too bad for nicknames. "SERENA!" I said standing up in front of him with my face scrunching up into anger and annoyance.

"SER--EN--A!" I said accenting every syllable.

"C'mon, say it with me now SER-EN-A," I said.

"Oh I get it MEAT-BALL-HEAD," he said.

"JERK!" I all but screamed. He just laughed, walked past me an addressed Andrew.

~* Darien's POV*~

I walked over to Serena when I heard my name being called from across the room, by Andrew. I walked up too Serena first since she was sitting in front of me. I had heard the whole thing. I would gladly fix her laptop for her. I would have gladly gone to beat up the guy who had made her so miserable in the first place. But I couldn't resist no matter how bad her day was to call her meatball head. At the sound of the name leaving my lips I immediately regretted it. I looked down at a steaming Serena. She yelled and although part of me wanted to sooth her, and confess I was only teasing her, the other part just wanted to see her there looking mad. Her face flushed and became red at the same time from her ragging emotions, the peach fuzz on neck and around her chin stood on end, and her eyes glistened. She was just.. Just. cute! I came back to reality and walked away from her over to Andrew.

"Hey Andrew what can I do for you?" I asked holding out, my now, empty coffee cup silently asking for a re fill. Andrew came over to me and took the cup pouring coffee in it and then simply said,

"Serena wanted to ask you a favor," with that he walked away.

I turned toward Serena who was actually blushing a little. I figured she was upset because Andrew had made her half to ask. Probably embarrassed she to ask me a favor after she was yelling at me. Besides that she did hardly know me, and fixing a computer would be a time consuming task. One that would only be done for a close friend only.

~* Andrew's POV ~*

Those two can deny it all they want the love each other and I know it! If I could only get them into a decent conversation without them ripping out each other's throats the words would come naturally to them and they could stop playing this game of cat and mouse. Jeez a guy can only take so much of this crap! ~* Serena's POV *~

Mental note to self, KILL ANDREW! God how could he do this to me! I barley know Darien, and now I half to ask him to spend his time on my stupid laptop. He hates me he'll never do it for me. God now what will I do if I back down I'll never get my comp fixed. My parents will kill me. Oh this is just great I can either A, ask the man of my dreams to do me a favor and risk him laughing in my face. Or B ask the man of my dreams to do me a favor, risk him laughing in my face, and then going home to await my death. Well I'll miss kicking Nega-trash butt if I die so, A!

"Darien," I said I looked down at the floor the entire time, "do you by any chance know anything about computer virus's?"

Okay dumb question he obviously knew about computers or Andrew would never have called him over her. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! I just kept mentally screaming.

~* Darien's POV*

She stood for a few moments as if debating weather to asked me of not. Finally, she asked me a question she whispered it though. So low I could barely hear it. I had been studying computer technology for at least 9 years now. I started when I was 12 doing some extra programming at the orphanage. The man who worked there had taught me some stuff about hacking so I knew my way around the inner system. I myself went to a good computer school and learned all the technical information when I left the orphanage 4 years ago. I was near graduating but all and all an expert in computers.

~* Narrators POV*~

Their conversation continues:

"I know a lot about them as a matter of fact, why?"

"WellyaseemycomputerbrokeandIwasjustwonderingifyoucoulddomea favorandfixitcau seitcaughtavirus," Serena spoke as fast as humanly possible.

"Um... could you repeat that I kind a need to be able to understand the words so slower this time,"

"Sorry, well ya see my computer broke and I was just wondering if you could do me a favor and fix it cause it caught a virus," Serena was slower this time, but still fast. She even blushed a little.

"Yeah, I know, I heard the whole story from over there," Darien said.

"Oh, well at least I don't half to explain it too you, so do you think you could fix it?"

"Sure, just give it too me and I'll take it home and work on it. I can't make any guarantees though it could take a day to a week for all I know I have too look at how severe the virus is," Darien said.

"Wow, Darien that's really nice and all but you do know that I don't any cash right, I mean I wouldn't be able to pay you," Serena said returning her gaze to the floor.

"I know, it's okay, I don't mind. Besides it will be good practice for my computer class," Darien said.

Serena stood in front of Darien completely astonished. I mean here was a man who hated her, and yet he was offering to help. For free even! She was so happy that she almost hugged him, but she refrained. Why was he helping her though?

"Darien. I'm thankful that your helping me and all. don't get me wrong.but why are you helping me?" she asked hesitantly.

"Simple, you need it. Computer stores are a gyp. They totally over charge for their work and that jerk Mark is not getting his way. He shouldn't blackmail girls to go out with him it's wrong and he has no right."

"Why do you care?" Serena asked.

Darien couldn't explain it, why was he helping. He knew fixing her computer wasn't going to make her like him or anything, but he knew that he didn't want her to go on a date with another guy. Not when he could prevent it.

"Hey if you'd rather go out on a date instead, then no problem I'll just leave well enough alone, sorry," Darien said getting ready to leave.

"No Wait!" Serena practically screamed, "I'm sorry, I do need your help, I'm just wondering that's all, I mean we fight, we argue, you hate me. I think we can both agree it's odd for you to say you'll help fix my computer and take time away from your own schedule to do so. For free," Serena said.

"First of all yes we fight, and yes, we argue, but I don't hate you," upon seeing Serena's shocked face Darien continued with a "despite personal opinion, besides I may be doing it for free but if I fix it then your going to owe me one. Who knows having you owe me a favor may not be so bad," Darien said flashing a boyish grin.

~* Serena's POV *~

He was right as much as I hated to admit it if I let him fix my laptop then I would owe him a favor and I knew it. Then again I really didn't have another choice if he didn't fix it then my only other option would be to go out on a date with that slime ball Mark and I would rather die than do that. So silently in my head I debated my choice's- Tell my parents and Die, Get Darien to fix it and owe the most conceited jerk in Tokyo a favor, or go on a date with Mark. Death, Darien, or a date, death, Darien, or a date, Death, Darien, or a date, death, Darien, or a date? Decisions, Decisions, Decisions. I guess Darien it is.

~* Darien's POV *~

I saw her face change expressions and she looked as if she was debating something. O well even if she doesn't let me fix her laptop then she'll know that I offered and that's what's important right? However if she did let me fix it then she would owe me a favor, and asking for a date was defiantly out. Especially after how mad she was with Mark. So what could I ask her to do? If she let me help with the laptop then she owed me a favor. I would come up with a way for her to like me, even if it killed me.

"Okay Darien, I'll owe you a favor but you better not make it something stupid," I heard her say breaking my train of thought.

"Alright, now give me your laptop and I give it back to you as soon as I get rid of the virus, okay?"

"Sure," she replied handing me the black bag that she had carried.

"Just bring it to the arcade when you're done and then I'll take it back, thanks Darien, bye," and with that said she turned and left. I left a little while later carrying her bag.
