Chapter 1

New Neighbors

One day two beautiful young ladies and a little girl move into Tokyo, Japan. Their names are Kaleigh Serenity, Jessika LeMorre and Kaitlyn LeMorre. Jessika is sitting on the couch on her mother's lap when Kaleigh walks into the room.
“I have announcement to make sis.” Kaleigh said.
“What's your announcement?” Kaitlyn asked.
“I'm going by Leah from now on.” Kaleigh answered.
“Why is that?” Kaitlyn asked.
“That's simple because I don't want your brother-in-law, your niece and everyone else won't figure out who I am.” Kaleigh answered.
Kaitlyn picks up Jessika in her arms and walks upstairs. All of a sudden the doorbell rings. Kaleigh runs over and opens the door. There is a adorable little girl and a handsome man standing on the other side of the door.
“Hi I'm Kieran Serenity and this is my daughter Serena.” the handsome young man replied.
“My name is Leah.” Kaleigh said.
Kaitlyn appears with Jessika in her arms.
“I'm Leah's sister Kait and this is my little girl Jess.” Kaitlyn replied.
“Well it's nice to meet the three of you and welcome to the neighborhood.” Kieran said.
Serena looked at Leah and Kait.
“Are you twins?” Serena asked.
“Yes we are.” Kaitlyn answered.
“Well you're both really pretty.” Serena said.
“You're pretty too.” Kaleigh replied.
“That's not true because all my friends have boyfriends but I don't have one.” Serena said.
“Do you have a lot of friends?” Kaleigh asked.
“Yes I have at least 20 friends.” Serena answered.
“Wow…that's a lot and you are lucky because I only have three friends.” Kaleigh said.
Serena smiles.
“What are their names?” Kieran asked.
“My first friend's name is Frankie Logozzo, my second friend is Hayley Coscarella and the third friend I'd rather not say who it is.” Kaleigh answered.
“Is Frankie a boy or girl?” Serena asked.
“Frankie is a girl that I went to school with.” Kaleigh answered.
All of a sudden the phone rings. Kaitlyn runs off to answer the phone and comes a few minutes later with the portable phone in her hand.
“It's for you sis.” Kaitlyn said.
“Who is it?” Kaleigh asked.
“It's Frankie.” Kaitlyn answered.
Kieran's mouth dropped open.
“Wait a minute I know them.” Kieran said.
Kaleigh took the portable phone from her sister.
“Heya Frankie.” Kaleigh replied.
“What's up?” Frankie asked.
“Not much.” Kaleigh answered.
“Well there's something up with me.” Frankie said.
“Are you going to tell me?” Kaleigh asked.
“I died my hair.” Frankie answered.
“What color is your hair?” Kaleigh asked.
“It's purple, blue, pink and there's a little bit of brown hair left.” Frankie answered.
“Are you sane?” Kaleigh asked.
“Yeah of course I am.” Frankie answered.
“I thought I was crazy for getting brown highlights in it but now I don't feel so bad.” Kaleigh said.
“Well I have to go but I might come over later.” Frankie replied.
Kaleigh and Frankie hang up on each other. Kaleigh put the phone back on the base and walked into the hallway shaking her head.
“She gets weirder with each passing day.” Kaleigh said.
“Who are you talking about?” Serena asked.
“I'm talking about my friend Francesca Logozzo.” Kaleigh answered.
“Does she have a daughter named Mina?” Serena asked.
“Yes, she does.” Kaleigh answered.
“Wow, that's so cool that you know one of my friend's parents.” Serena said.
“Yeah it is and like I said before I went to school with her.” Kaleigh replied.
“That's along time to know someone.” Serena said.
“I've known my best way longer than that.” Kaleigh replied.
“Who is your best friend?” Serena asked.
“I'd rather not discuss that.” Kaleigh answered.
“Oh well that's okay.” Serena said.
Kieran looked at Kaleigh.
“There's something about you but I can't quite figure out what it is.” Kieran replied.
Kaleigh bit her lip.
“Oh I've got to be more careful about what I say because if I'm not then Kieran will figure out that I'm really Queen Serenity.” Kaleigh thought to herself.
Kaitlyn looked at her sister.
“What are you thinking about?” Kaitlyn asked.
“I'll tell you later.” Kaleigh answered.
Serena looks up her father.
“Can we go home now?” Serena asked.
“I was just thinking the same thing.” Kieran answered.
“What's your hurry?” Kaleigh asked.
“Um…we have to get home and get something to eat.” Serena answered.
“Well it just so happens that I already have something cooked so you are both welcome to join me, Kait and Jess for dinner.” Kaleigh said.
“Okay that's sounds good.” Kieran replied.
“What do you having?” Serena asked.
“We are having spaghetti and meatballs.” Kaleigh answered.
“Mmm…..sounds good to me except for the meatballs.” Serena said.
“What's wrong with meatballs?” Kaleigh asked.
“This guy that I know named Darien Shields calls me meatball head.” Serena answered.
“Why does he call you that?” Kaitlyn asked.
“He said that my hair looks meatballs.” Serena answered.
“Well….it looks like maybe this Darien guy has a crush on you.” Kaleigh said.
Serena stared at Kaleigh.
“No way he hates me.” Serena replied.
“I know from experience that guys can mean and nasty when they like a girl.” Kaleigh said.
“Well I know for a fact that he doesn't like me that way.” Serena replied.
Kaleigh, Kieran, Kaitlyn and Serena walk inside.
“Wow…you have a really nice place.” Kieran said.
“Thanks.” Kaleigh replied.
Kieran looked at Kaitlyn.
“How old is Jess?” Kieran asked.
“Jess is 5 months old.” Kaitlyn answered.
Serena noticed the huge house stereo in the living room.
“How many cds does that hold?” Serena asked.
“It can hold up to 20 cds at time.” Kaleigh answered.
“Are they any cds in it right now?” Serena asked.
“Yeah there are 5 cds in it.” Kaleigh answered.
“Which cds are in it?” Kieran asked.
“There's a burned cd of Alyssa Milano, a Michael Jackson cd, a cd of me singing my favorite songs, a mixed cd and Hoobastank's cd.” Leah answered.
“How did you make a cd of yourself singing?” Kieran asked.
“I went a recording studio.” Kaleigh answered.
“Can we hear the cd of you singing?” Serena asked.
“I really don't think that's such a good idea” Kaleigh answered.
Serena looked at Kaleigh.
“Why not?” Serena asked.
“I just don't want to but maybe sometime.” Leah answered.
Kaleigh took the remote and turns CD player to the Alyssa Milano cd. The song “One Last Dance” starts to play. Serena and Kieran follow Leah out the kitchen. Kieran sat on at the end of the table and Serena sat beside her father.
“Do you mind if I use your phone?” Serena asked.
“No I don't so go right ahead.” Kaleigh answered.
All of a sudden the doorbell rang. Kaleigh ran over and opened the door to find Frankie Logozzo standing on the other side.
“I told you that might come over so you like my hair.” Frankie said.
Kaleigh at Frankie's hair.
“Uh…..it's different.” Leah said.
Frankie followed Kaleigh inside. Kieran looked up at Frankie.
“Hiya Frankie.” Kieran said.
“What are you doing here?” Frankie asked.
“I came over to welcome Kaitlyn and Kaleigh to the neighborhood.” Kieran answered.
“Who's Leah?” Frankie asked.
“I'm Leah.” Kaleigh answered.
“Since when?” Frankie asked.
“Kaitlyn came with the name this morning.” Kaleigh answered.
“Why are you going by that?” Frankie asked.
“I'd rather not say because there are too many ears listening.” Kaleigh answered.
Frankie grabbed Kaleigh's arm and took her outside.
“Will you tell me now?” Frankie asked.
“Yeah I guess so.” Kaleigh answered.
