Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ Never Alone: a reimagining of Episode 111 ❯ Part One: Call of the Sacred Guardians ( Chapter 1 )
DISCLAIMER: Obviously, I don't own Sailor Moon or any of her companions. Also, as with "Not Without You," this is intended to use the names and situations from the North American dub, not the original Japanese. Thus, I have used the NA names, not the original names. So please don't get on my case for the use of the NA dub names - that was done deliberately.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: I have taken some serious creative license because... because I felt like it! Sailor Antares is a character I've been trying to write for a very long time, and this was her debut in fiction. If I ever get back into this anime, I may actually finish the story I'd planned originally with Sailor Antares, but as it stands now, that's not likely to happen.

PART ONE: CALL OF THE SACRED GUARDIANS
The Cosmic Twins of the Heavens drifted in their orbits, refusing to release their holds on the Senshi that spoke for them. The Senshi spirit of Uranus, dubbed "Kaze" by its creators, reincarnated in the body of an athletic young woman named Amara Tennoh, refused to let go its hold on its body. Reincarnating again was such a bother, and the heart crystal could be returned if the three treasures were brought in vicinity to each other before rigor mortis set in.
The Senshi spirit of Neptune, named "Mizu" by its creators, had been forced from its body, that of a beautiful artist named Michelle Kaioh, and so was suspended in balance, drawing on the Kaze's rappaport with both its Senshi and Guardian.
The Senshi spirit of the celestial wanderer, Pluto, dubbed "Kouri" by its creators, wasn't reincarnated, and instead assumed identities throughout time. The current Kouri manifestation was in the form of a woman named Trista Meiou. When manifested as Sailor Pluto, however, the Kouri guarded the Gates of Time, and thus could never reincarnate wholly.
Because of Pluto's orbital interactions with Neptune and Uranus in the void of Chaos, and because Pluto was composed of many of the same elements that made the gentle giants stellar twins, the three Senshi were closely bound.
The three talismans of the Purity Force were distributed between them. The Kouri, because it never reincarnated, guarded its treasure talisman, the Garnet Orb, by placing it atop its Staff of Time. The Kaze and Mizu hid theirs within the heart crystals of their incarnations, protected from harm, much the same as Tsuki, the Moon, had hidden Her mighty Silver Crystal within the body of Her Senshi.
From beyond, thousands of light years away, a force of unreckoned power traversed the void of Chaos and charged the Outer planets.
Fomalhaut, Mouth of the Fish, Heart of the Fountain, wills it so.
Regulus, Heart of the Lion, Guardian of the Heavens, wills it so.
Aldebaran, Eye of the Bull, Shepherd of the Cosmos, wills it so.
Antares, Heart of the Scorpion, Soul of the Lifeforce, wills it so.
It is time.
