REMEMBER THIS, REMEMBER THAT
By Sailor DKC

“I remember.”
Ami stared up at Zoicite, wide-eyed. ‘He remembers?’ she thought as
her hands moved from his face to rest on his shoulders. “You do?”
The minute he said, “My little bubble,” Zoicite flashbacked all his
memories he had with Ami. His first meeting when he collided with
her, his picking up and handing over her glasses, his observance of
her by the pond, her dunking him in the pond, his dancing with her at
the Prince’s castle, his attempted seduction of her, her punching him
in the nose, their conversation in her room, their courting
afterwards, and finally, their last moments together before he went
off to war. He shook his head in wonderment, shocked that he did not
recall all this before. “How could have I forgotten what we’ve
shared, and now…” He trailed off as he realized the situation they
are in at this moment.

Eyes bulging, Zoicite yelped, “AMI!” and leapt off her nude form.
Grabbing the cover of the bed, he covered up her nakedness, then
grabbed the sheets to cover himself up as well. “Ami! Oh, crap! Crap!
I was forcing myself on you!”
“No!” Ami sat up, holding the cover around her. “You didn’t,
Zoicite!”
“And you let me,” his voice lowered to a pained and whisper. Her eyes
filled up as she stared at him. He looked away, ashamed of himself.
“You didn’t force yourself on me,” she said, quietly. “I let you
continue because I wanted to help regain your memories.”
Turning his back on her, he sat on the edge corner of the bed. “I
remember a voice telling me to find and bring forth Prince Endymion.
It was powerfully hypnotic, and I fought against it with all my will.
I feared it will overcome me, and I will betray my Prince. But
whenever I’m around you, the voice fades away, and I become
stronger.” Looking over his shoulder, he took in her adorable
position. “I was so desperate to rid that voice that I nearly had my
way with you.” A tear escaped from one eye and ran down his cheek as
he looked away. “I’m sick. A pervert. A degenerate. I’m disgusting.”

“Oh, no! No, no, no, no!” Still wrapped in the cover, Ami moved up
behind him and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. “You’re not, my
love! You’re not!” She began weeping.. “You’re Zoicite, the man who
loved and respected me! You called me ‘bubble’, remember that? And
you must remember this: I love you! I always have and I always will!”
Giving out a tormented sob, he entwined his hands with hers and
kissed them. “You still love me? Even after everything I did, you
still love me?” Turning around, he gathered her in his arms, and they
kissed passionately.
“Yes! Yes, I still do!” Ami whimpered as she cupped his face, kissing
all over him. Letting out a gasp of relief and happiness, he buried
his face in her shoulder.
“Oh, Ami! My little bubble! I love you, too! Oh, how I love you!”
Then he suddenly grunted in pain. Pushing her away, Zoicite grabbed
one side of his head with his hand.
“Zoicite!” Ami cried out.

He glowed red all over! ‘Find the Prince! Bring him to me!’ the voice
taunted in his head. Growling in agony, Zoicite fell to the floor on
his knees, grabbing his head with both hands. “STOP!” he screamed,
eyes tight shut. “GET OUT OF MY HEAD!”
Ami joined him quickly on the floor, kneeling and facing him.
Wrapping her arms around him, she cried into his chest, “Fight it,
Zoicite! You can beat this!” As he began to hyperventilate, he
opened his eyes. They were bone white again! “I’m with you, Zoicite!
I’ll never leave your side!” She hugged him tighter. “Please don’t
leave me again!”
Closing his eyes again, Zoicite’s moans became less aggressive. Still
glowing red, he opened his eyes again, but this time, they were
normal. “Ami?” he said in a hoarse voice. He lowered his hands from
his head to settle on her bare shoulders, and she lifted her head up
to look at him.
“Zoicite?” They stared at each other, then came together for a kiss.
As the kiss progressed more passionately, the red glow all over him
became more brighter.

“What’s happening?” Beryl ran her hands over her floating orb wand.
“Why is he not responding?” She tried to add more power to the orb,
but it became blocked. “It’s as if the spell I cast is being
overwhelmed by a strong force!” Then the orb started humming loud
and shaking. “What the-“
Beryl screamed as the red glow shot out of the orb and exploded.

Collapsing into Ami’s arms, Zoicite panted heavily. The red glow had
disappeared. “Zoicite?” she whispered, cradling him. “Are you all
right?”
Looking up at her, he smiled wearily. “The voice is gone. We did it.
The spell is broken.”
Gasping in delight, she hugged him. “Oh, my love! I’m so happy!”

After taking many precautions and test drills, it was confirmed that
Zoicite was free from Beryl’s spell. Therefore, he was able to resume
his duty as Guardian of the Earth. A new meeting was held in the
Royal Conference Room of Prince Endymion’s castle. New information
was gathered. According to Kunzite’s report, Beryl was indeed a lady
of high rank in the kingdom of the Prince. Rumor was that she was
infatuated with him and longed to be near him, hence she attended all
the parties. However, when Endymion met Princess Serenity at one of
the parties and never left her side, Beryl left in such a fury,
making curses about the Princess. She disappeared and was never seen
again. There were tales that she wandered in the northern cold
territories of the Earth and died because of unrequited love.

“Obviously, she did not die, for somehow, she discovered a new power
up there,” Kunzite informed. “And that is why she was able to create
such a huge army.”
“Now she plans to not only conquer the Earth,” Nephrite continued.
“She plans to capture you for herself, my Prince.”
“And once that’s done, she will attack the Moon Kingdom to revenge
herself against Princess Serenity,” Jadeite finished. “For stealing
you from her.”
Slowly, Endymion shook his head. “I can’t believe this war is
happening over an emotion such as jealousy.” Walking over to one of
the large windows, he crossed his arms and stared out into the blue
sky. “I pity her, but if she harms one hair of Princess Serenity, I
will show no mercy.”

Zoisite walked over to the Prince and faced his side profile. “Your
Majesty,” he began. “When I was under Beryl’s spell, I could sense
her desperation to possess you. It was nearly overpowering, and I
thought I would not resist it. Then I remember that it was the love
that Princess Ami of Mercury and I shared that saved me.” Looking at
his fellow Guardians, he continued, “I know this is not battle
strategy, but I believe that the power of love is the greatest weapon
of all. Therefore, remember this, my friends and my Prince. Believe
in the power of love.”
Each man in the room took a moment to think about his love.

Days later, in the Moon Palace, a group of maidens were walking
around the halls in search of Zoicite. They heard old rumors that he
had broken up with the Princess of Mercury and is single again. As
they wandered through the vicinity, they talked amongst themselves.
“I knew it! He wouldn’t last long with her.”
“Well, she’s so serious, and her nose is always in books.”
“Maybe Lord Zoicite is being nice to her.”
“I hope he’s available to take me to the ribbon dancing festival on
Earth!”
“Hey! I’m going to ask him to take me to the concert performing here
on the Moon!”
“Whoever gets to him first will ask him!”
“Look! There he is! By the entrance to the Royal Gardens!”
“Zoicite!”
“Lord Zoicite!”
“Oh, please, take me to- Oh!”
“Would you like to go with me to- Huh?”

They all froze as they came upon him. He had his back to them and was
wearing a casual black uniform jacket and black gray slacks. As he
turned his head, they already noticed the small form pressed against
him, her face hidden from their view.

* Looking back and giving a small smile, Zoicite leaned his right
hand against the wall. Ami’s left arm was wrapped around his back.
Only her curly and wavy short blue hair and a flick of her short blue
dress were displayed as she snuggled against him. *

Clearing his throat, Zoicite said, “May I help you, ladies?”
All the women started talking at once.
“Oh my goodness!”
“That’s Princess Ami!”
“I guess they’re still together!”
“Pardon us, Lord Zoicite!”
“We didn’t mean to intrude!”
“Um, I think I’ll go!”
“Yeah, me, too!”
“Hey, wait for me!”
They all scampered off as Zoicite laughed heartily. Ami peeped over
his shoulder. “Are they gone?”
“Yes. Now let me look at you again.”
Timidly, she raised her face to look up at him.

Zoicite drew in his breath as he gazed down upon her. In his heart,
he always found her beautiful, but she was very sexy at this moment.
She wanted to look really good for him so she had her hair fanned
out, her makeup done more striking, and wearing a slinky, spaghetti-
strapped short blue dress. As he caressed her hair, she asked, “Are
precautions taking place in your Prince’s kingdom?”
He nodded as his hands them caressed her bare shoulders. “We’ve added
extra security in our castle and throughout the land. Thanks to Queen
Serenity’s magic, we can detect any kind of casted spell and create a
counter-spell.” Bending his head, he started placing little kisses at
her temple, and proceeded down her cheek to her neck. “And what about
your kingdom?” he whispered against her throat.

Swallowing and whimpering, Ami held onto his shoulders as he caressed
her collarbone with loving bites. “We have extra security as well and
increased our magic powers to protect the Princess and the kingdom,”
she whispered, as her hands slid to his shirt underneath his open
jacket. Zoicite drew back to watch her unbutton his shirt, and hissed
in ecstasy as she placed soft kisses on his bare flesh. In a daring
move, she licked her tongue up on his sternum area just once.
“Ami!” he gasped, gently grabbing hold of her face to stare at her.
“You don’t have to do this. I’m fine. I’m not under a spell so-“
“Shh.” She place two fingers on his lips. Closing his eyes, he
tenderly kissed them. “I want you to prove how much you love me.”
“What?” He opened his eyes in surprise.
“You came back alive. Now show me.”
“Ami, this war is not over.”
“I know, Zoicite, I know.” Smiling, she caressed his face with her
hand. “But I feel this is right for us, war or no war. I will always
love you, remember that.”
Turning to kiss her hand, he murmured, “Are you sure?”
“I want this moment to be ours to treasure, yours and mine alone.”
“Ours always. I will always remember this moment, Ami. I love you.”
“And I love you.”

Sweeping her up in his arms, he carried her to her living quarters.
Once they were there, he went straight to the bedroom and set her
down by the bed. As they kissed, they slowly undressed each other and
slid under the sheets when they were done. Ami gasped and sighed in
delight as she felt him caressing her intimately. She squealed softly
as she felt him suckle and caress her breasts. Then it was Zoicite’s
turn to pant in ecstasy as he felt Ami fondle him lovingly and rub
her legs against his own. She caressed his back as he positioned
himself over her.
Both let out cries of delight as they became one.

Afterwards, they held each other, basking in the afterglow.
“When the war is over, will you marry me?”
“Yes.”

Meanwhile, in her dark domain in the northern regions of the Earth,
Beryl was slowly regaining her power. “This is far from over,” she
said. “I will not give up until I claim and conquer what I want!”

Yes, the war is from over, and soon, the evil Beryl set her sights on
another one of the Guardians.

But that’s another story!
