*note* I have been very distracted by real world stuff. A really special person in my life read the first chapter recently, loved it and that has encouraged me to finally finish the story and put my fan-fiction writing to rest.

Past Conclusion
The night seemed to be perfect. Queen Serenity had arranged the greatest party to announce the engagement of Princess Usagi and Prince Mamoru. The sky was lit up with the bursts of thousands of different fireworks. Music filled the air. Everyone was happy, except Mamoru. He felt like there was something missing, something he had forgotten.
“Mamo-chan!” Usagi cried out to Mamoru from across the courtyard. He brushed his black hair from his eyes with his right hand and began to walk towards Usagi. He slouched as he walked; his normal confident demeanour seemed to be missing. Mamoru stopped short of Usagi, took a deep breath and stared up at the sky looking directly at earth. “Mamo-chan? Oi! Are you okay?” Usagi asked as she gently touched his chest with her small hands.
“Yeah.” Mamoru shook his head as if to clear it from the uneasiness he felt. “I just don’t feel well is all. Are you ready for your mother’s announcement?” A smile graced his lips as he looked down upon Usagi’s face beaming with happiness.
“It’s going to be perfect.” Usagi exclaimed with great enthusiasm. “All the Senshi are here....We get to have our first dance...” Usagi continued to talk as Mamoru’s mind wandered elsewhere. “Mamo-chan!” Mamoru blinked really quickly and slightly shook his head. “What’s wrong with you?” Usagi eyes thinned in slight disgust at Mamoru’s distracting mannerisms.
“It feels like there is something missing, someone missing.” Mamoru muttered lowly. He began to rub the back of his left hand as he stared out towards the banquet hall. “Your mother will probably start the announcement soon, won’t she?” Even thinking the word engagement felt wrong.
“No one’s missing Mamoru. Everyone is here. We must hurry. We can’t be late for this.” Mamoru out of sheer instinct offered his left arm to Usagi. She slipped her arm onto his, held on with a very firm grip as they walked together towards the party.

The banquet hall was decorated in the most lavish and exquisite tapestries. The tables were covered with the purest white linen, set with pure sterling flatware, crystal goblets and a bouquet of white roses wrapped in ivory satin ribbon in the center. The chandeliers shone their radiant light, refracting it around the room in a beautiful rainbow pattern on the dance floor. The head table located behind the dance floor, seated Queen Serenity, Mamoru, Usagi and Mamoru’s parents. Serenity rose to her feet and cleared her throat. Instantly the entire room became silent.
“Welcome everyone!” Serenity called out throughout the massive crowd. “We are here to mark a new beginning for our kingdom. We are here to announce the joining of two nations as one with the marriage of...” Loud sirens began to wail. The attack sirens.
“Everybody, take cover! We’re under attack!” Luna, Artemis and Isis began yelling as they ran their way through the crowd. Luna, Serenity’s head advisor, darted between the legs of frantic party goers’ attempts to flee the attack. She ran as fast as her feline legs could carry her, followed closely behind by her lover Artemis and their best friend Isis, Serenity’s loyal and faithful dog. All three advisors ran up to Serenity and stopped short of knocking the queen, Mamoru and Usagi off their feet.
“What has happened?” Serenity exclaimed, her peaceful demeanour now gone and replaced by a state of pure fear.
“Queen Metallia has broken free. Her forces have captured the earth and now are approaching the moon!” Isis tried to remain as calm as possible. The patrons scrambled for the exits in an effort to save themselves.
“Deploy the guard!” Serenity screamed out, a tear coming to her eye. As her orders echoed out throughout the hall, the guard began to assemble to face the threat and push them back from the kingdom.
“But, why would they choose now of all times to attack?” Artemis asked as his blue eyes looked up at his sovereign with concern, his white fur speckled with dirt.
“It was just a matter of time. The seal placed on Metallia wasn’t meant to last forever.” Serenity lowered her head in shame, knowing there wasn’t much more she could be doing. “Mamoru, take Usagi and head for the throne room. I will catch up with you.”
“Mother no! We have to...” Usagi was interrupted by serenity again.
“Just go Usagi. You have Mamoru he’ll protect you. Go now, before you get trapped here!” Serenity yelled at her daughter. Mamoru grabbed Usagi’s left wrist and pulled her into the frantic crowd towards the general direction of the royal palace.

The Senshi stood strong on the front lines of battle. They were the only strong resistance the moon kingdom had. If they were to fall, the kingdom would be doomed and this weighed heavily on their minds. The ten girls stood staring at the sky towards earth as the planet turned black as a shadow began to approach them.
“Ready?” Sailor Jupiter glanced over non-challantly at Mars.
“Born ready.” The words fell from Mars’ lips as she stared into the shadow as it approached even faster than before. Waves of corrupted earth warriors swarmed down upon the kingdom from the shadow. The battle had begun.
With the sounds of weapons clashing around them, the Senshi soon realized they were not being attacked. They looked up once again to see green lightning being formed above them.
“Run!” Venus screamed as she grabbed Mercury’s arm in an attempt to pull her away. The lightning was discharged, and it was too late. The full strength of the corrupted energy hit them all, ending their lives in an instant. The impact was so great; the ground itself was shattered for a few hundred feet in all directions while pieces floated in the air.
“NO!” Luna screamed out in disbelief at the lifeless bodies of the kingdoms saviours floating in the air. “Anything but this....” She hung her head down and began to cry.

“C’mon Usagi! We don’t have time for this. I’ll get you a new one. We have to go now!” Mamoru yelled at Usagi.
“Got it!” She exclaimed as she grabbed the star shaped locket from between the pillows on her bed, her engagement present from Mamoru. Mamoru rolled his eyes and couldn’t comprehend how a locket was more important to her than her own life. He grabbed her by the wrist once again and began to ran, dragging the princess behind her. He ran through the door way to her bedchamber and dashed right down the hall towards the throne room. As they ran, puffs of dust were released from the ceiling. With one loud crash, the roof fifteen feet in front of them collapsed. Mamoru let go of Usagi momentarily, jumped up in the air doing a summersault with a half twist. When he landed he was facing Usagi. He began to run and grabbed her wrist once more. He knew they had to get outside.
As they reached the stairway to the sleeping quarters, Mamoru froze. His four advisors, Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoisite and Kunzite staring at him, an evil red glow in their eyes. “GO!” Mamoru yelled. “I’ll catch up with you.” Usagi say the seriousness and ran back towards her bedchamber in an attempt to find a way out.
Usagi ran back down the hallway and into her bedchamber once again, she stopped to take a breath. She must hurry to reach her mother, she realized. After taking a deep breath, she ran onto her balcony and recoiled in horror of the scenery in front of her. The kingdom was being torn apart all around her. The sounds of the battle and the screams of the dying filled the air. Usagi stopped and closed her eyes, trying to force the image from her mind.
“Hello Princess.” A beautiful woman’s voice called from above Usagi. She snapped open her eyes and stared up into the sky. Queen Metallia’s servant Beryl floated there in front of her. “Such a beautiful day isn’t it? Too bad, you’re all dressed up and have nowhere to go...EXCEPT OBLIVION!” Beryl screamed as she flew at Usagi. A red rose appeared in-between the princess and her attacker, causing beryl to stop.
Mamoru jumped down from the roof behind Usagi and landed between the two. “Ah, Mamoru. I’ve heard of you. You show such great promise. Why not join us, and you could rule the universe...” A devilish grin crossed Beryl’s lips.
“No thanks. I can’t be a part of something like this.” Mamoru glared at her with his deep blue eyes.
“I will change your mind!” Beryl yelled as she raised her hand high above her head as an energy beam surrounded Mamoru and began to pull him into the sky, closer to the enemy.
“Run Usagi, just run!” Mamoru screamed at the princess.
“No, I want to be with you!” Usagi ran, jumped at the very edge of the balcony and began spiralling upwards towards Mamoru. Their hands met in mid air momentarily, before the shadow sent a fatal lightning bolt, separating and killing them both.
“NOOOOOOOOO!” Serenity screamed as she ran out if the banquet hall, seeing her daughter floating lifeless beside Mamoru. Isis, Luna, and Artemis followed Serenity. They looked up to see the princess’ life had faded; they hung their heads down and began to cry uncontrollably. “I won’t let it end this way!” Serenity yelled as she stood up and summoned the kingdom’s last line of defence, the crescent moon wand. She pulled the last remaining half of the ginzuishou from the pendant hanging on her neck and placed into the notch on top of the wand designed to hold the entire crystal. Serenity raised the wand over her head and began to chant in an ancient language. White light poured forth from the crystal washing over everything in its wake. Queen Metallia had been sealed once again, but this time inside half of the ginzuishou at the cost of Serenity’s strength. Once the spell had finished, Serenity collapsed backwards onto a broken pillar.
“Your majesty, you defeated them.” Luna cried out.
“I trapped them all, yes. If I had destroyed them, I would have destroyed Usagi and the others too. Now they are all inside the power of the ginzuishou. And now I must send everyone to a new future on earth.” Serenity turned her head and began to cry.
“Why are you so sad?” Isis asked.
“Because none of them will remember anything about this time or this place, nothing. And I’ll never get to see my daughters again or you three either. But this is the only way for any of you to live on. I have just enough strength left to send everything you will need in the future to earth. My daughters will need your help if Queen Metallia ever breaks free. All of you will be reborn on earth with no memories of this. But if Metallia ever breaks free, you will know what to do. Now, farewell, and good luck. Sakuya, Usagi...you are in my heart always.” The ginzuishou flew from Serenity’s hand, and radiated the surface of the moon, encasing everyone on a crystal prism. The crescent moon wand fell from Serenity’s hand. A white flash of light blanketed the moon. Serenity’s life had passed and everyone was gone.
“Mamo-chan!” Usagi cried out to Mamoru from across the courtyard. He brushed his black hair from his eyes with his right hand and began to walk towards Usagi.
