Sailor Universe: Chapter 10
 
**IN THE ANCIENT MOON KINGDOM**
“Mama? Where are you?”
“I am right here, my daughter. I am so happy to see you again even though I really see you everyday!”
“You know that is not me. I am different from the princess you know here.”
“Yes, and I also know why you have to travel in time just to see me. I wish I could change the future that I could somehow save you and the others. I know it is just selfish of me though. I just want to see you grow up here on the Moon. However, I also know that if that were to happen, you and Endymion could never truly be together, and you would have marry someone you do not love.”
“We have gone over this every time I have been here.”
“I know, sweetheart. I just have to keep reminding myself so that I will not change the future. Oh, what is wrong Serena?”
“It is the Kullden. Karimenta is seeking revenge for the death of her sister. I do not know what to do. The situation seems hopeless. I know that she only got the same power that Beryl had, but the Kullden seems stronger than the Negaverse.”
“You forget, my child, that Karimenta has waited years to attack. She has had Beryl's power for a long time now, and has had the chance to increase that power. So yes, she is stronger than Beryl ever was. However, I know that you and the Sailor Scouts can defeat anything that comes your way. I believe in each and every one of you. Now tell me, what is truly bothering you?”
“Oh, how do you always know?”
“I'm your mother, Serena, and a mother always knows.”
“Well, the future has already changed. No, you did not do anything. We changed the future when we defeated the NegaMoon. It has kept changing since. I take the throne in less than a year, and unless we defeat the Kullden, we all die two years after I take the throne. Marlena and Colin, however, are the only ones that survive. Oh, I forgot to tell you that Marlena and Colin are Sailor Universe and Sunlight Knight.”
“Ah, so the children of the Sun have finally found you. Take heart, Serena. The powers of the Sun far surpass those of the other Sailor Scouts. Only you and Endymion have powers stronger than the Sun. Marlena and Colin will greatly aid you in your battles. Serena, I know that you can defeat the Kullden. You will not perish, but will live to be the mother of my granddaughter, Rini. I fear that you must go now, for I have to attend a ball tonight.”
“Surely not the ball where Endymion and I… Sorry, I should not finish that sentence. Farewell Mom, I love you.”
“And I love you, Princess Serenity. Goodbye.”
Serena opened the door and went back to the Fourth Dimension.
“Setsuna? Am I on time?”
“Yes, but we must hurry back. I can sense danger to the Scouts.”
“Well let's get going then. Thank you Setsuna, for understanding why I had to banish you, and for letting me go to my mother when I want to.”
“It is no problem, Princess. I know you have a need to see her so that you can connect your past to the present and to the future.”
 
**BACK AT THE TEMPLE**
“I hope they get here soon! We need their help to defeat these beasts!”
“Don't worry Neptune! The Princess said they would be back today.”
“And here I am! How dare you vile creatures attack the defenders of good! You shall not get away with this! In the name of the Moon, I will punish you creeps!”
“Ah, at last, Sailor Moon shows up with her bratty time friend, Sailor Pluto! I have a bone to pick with you!”
“How corny can you get? Tell me what you want or fight!”
“Queen Karimenta has an ultimatum for you. Surrender to her, and only you shall perish, but if you refuse, we will destroy this worthless planet! She only wants you, because you are the one who killed her sister!”
“We all killed Beryl! Each one of us gave Sailor Moon our power to battle that evil witch! So if you want the one responsible for her death, you'd have to take all of us, and that ain't happening!!”
“Mars shut up! I can save all of you just by giving myself up. Do you swear that no one but me will be hurt?”
“We swear it!”
“Princess! You cannot do this! The world needs you to protect it!”
“But can't you see? That is exactly what I am going to do. The Kullden will not harm Earth if I go quietly.”
“PRINCESS SERENITY!!! You must listen to me if to no one else.”
“Who are you?!”
A cloaked stranger had appeared. The voice was very feminine, but they could see no indication of what the person looked like.
