Sailor Universe: Chapter 22
 
 
**BACK ON EARTH**
“This is ridiculous! Karimenta attacks almost five times a day now, and we must waste time waiting for a full moon in order to find the staff.”
“Serenity, I know that you detest waiting, but it is the only way. You must calm down dear, before the Earth's Home Defense leaders get here. There are only two more days before the full moon. Everything will turn out ok, trust me.”
“How can you be so sure Endymion??”
“Because I believe in your power, the power that has saved us so many times before.”
“Oh, I do love you so.”
“And I you.”
“Ahem!”
“Oh! General Kunzite, hello. Are the Earth's Home Defense leaders here?”
“Yes, and they would like to meet in the Strategy Room.”
“Where else? That is where we always meet. It is the best place to plan a war. ”
 
**IN THE STRATEGY ROOM**
“Leaders, welcome once more to the Palace. Are you in need of any refreshments before we begin?”
“No, your majesty. We wish to know how close you are to finding the staff.”
“Two days from now there will be a full moon. At that time, we must travel to the North Pole and search along the southern shore for it. As such, we will need to plan for you to defend the city while we are away. Does everyone understand?”
“Yes, we do, Queen Serenity. Will Kalina be working with us again? She is quite fearsome.”
“Yes she will help you. There is no need to fear her though. Kalina is definitely loyal to us. Now, please leave us. We all need some rest. I want our powers to be at full force while we are at the North Pole. Karimenta might attack us there to prevent our finding the staff.”
“Farewell, Queen Serenity.”
The representatives left the room, leaving the Royals by themselves. They all looked at each other without talking for a moment. Then everyone left to get some rest.
 
**AT THE NORTH POLE**
“It feels so weird to be here again, especially since this is where you defeated Beryl. And now, her sister is attacking, and we must return here. Kinda ironic, isn't it?”
“Just a little, Venus. Ok, Mercury, let's find where the staff is most likely to be along the southern shore. Your computer should be able to get a power read out from it.”
“Yes, there is something about half a mile… that way!”
The Scouts slowly began to walk in the direction Mercury pointed to as the Moon began to rise. A beam of white light traveled from the ground to the Moon and grew stronger as Endymion approached. Finally, Endymion's Staff was within their grasp, but Karimenta's minion did not want that. She lingered near, waiting for the right moment to strike. It came as the Scouts took the final steps towards the light.
“Did you really think it would be so easy, Sailor Moon? My master would not let you get to the staff without a fight!”
“Let's just get this fight over with so that we can get the staff and leave this barren wasteland!”
“How can you speak so cruelly of your husband's former home? Have you no respect for his heritage at all??”
“This has not been my home for a long time. It was corrupted by Beryl, and so has no beauty left for anyone to see.”
“It looks perfect to me! Of course, death and destruction are my specialties. Prepare to die! TWISTING NEGABEAM OF FATE!!”
“You shall not harm my friends! DIAMOND BLIZZARD FLY!!”
Sailor Moon's attack negated that of the monster, and even destroyed the foul creature. Everyone was in shock. There was no way that Karimenta would allow it to be this easy.
“Endymion, quick! Run and get the staff before more attacks come!”
“Too late for that Sailor Brats!”
Thousands of monsters appeared, surrounding the Scouts. But Endymion was able to slip past them, barely. He ran towards his family's legacy, all the while dodging attacks from the fiends. He jumped and grabbed the staff when it appeared, floating above the Earth. A howl of rage was heard as Queen Karimenta appeared above her minions.
“NO!!! This cannot be! I am meant to rule all! You die now, SAILOR MOON!”
Karimenta sent a huge attack towards her.
“I don't think so! STARRY HEARTS SHIELD!”
Sailor Universe's shield formed around all of the Scouts and Endymion, and it protected them from Karimenta's attacks.
“Sailor Moon, combine the Crystal with the Staff!! Hurry, I do not know how much longer my shield can hold out.”
“Right Sailor Universe!”
Sailor Moon reached Endymion's side and took out the Silver Imperium Crystal, transforming into Neo-Queen Serenity as she did so. Endymion held the staff as she placed the Crystal on top. They tried to use the Universe Containment Sphere, but nothing happened. Then Sailor Mercury had a brainstorm.
“Sailor Universe, Sunlight Knight! The Queen and King need you!! You must help them activate the Sphere! They need the power of the Universe.”
“Right Sailor Mercury! We're coming Queen Serenity!”
The two flew to where their rulers were flying above the Earth, facing off with Karimenta. They placed their hands over Endymion's and Serenity's on the Staff and chanted the command with them.
“SILVER IMPERIUM CRYSTAL AND EARTH STAFF WE COMMAND YOU TO END THIS WAR! UNIVERSE CONTAINMENT SPHERE ACTIVATE!”
A large, see-through sphere appeared around Karimenta and slowly began to shrink until she could barely fit inside it. Then, Karimenta was no longer visible to anyone except for those who imprisoned her. They sent her out to drift forever in the emptiness of space.
