Blacklion: This story is going to be different from your typical Sailor Moon fanfiction. This story takes place in an alternate universe. None of the characters I'm using have super powers nor do they have a destiny to save the world. They are just ordinary people caught up in life problems. This story is also a slight crossover of the movie “Judgment Night”.

 

Warning: This story is rated R. It has Adult language and Adult situations. Don't read unless you are mature or old enough to handle it. You have been warned.

SATURDAY

 

 

 

 

Rei was sleeping in her bed at the Hikawa Temple when her alarm clock goes off. She tosses and turns in her bed for a couple of seconds before she finally decides to sit up and turn the clock off. When she picks the clock up, she notices that it was five minutes past noon. She wipes her eyes to get some of the sleep out, and gets out of bed. She makes her way to the bathroom and takes off her robe. Then she steps into the bathtub and starts to pour hot water into it. When the water reaches a certain level, Rei sits down and enjoys the warmth of the water. While she is relaxing in the bath, Rei thought back to what she and her best friend Ami talked about before she headed home yesterday.

 

 

FLASHBACK

 

Rei is waiting in front of Ami's school. She just came from her own school, and she wants to talk to her best friend about what plans they can make for the weekend. After a long week of school, Friday was finally here and Rei's very excited. Rei finally spots Ami walking from her school and heading for the front gate. Rei also notice that her friend was talking to a boy and smiling. Rei was kind of surprise by this, not because her best friend Ami was ugly. It was quit the opposite, actually. Ami was very cute and charming, but she was always into her schoolwork, more than she was into boys.

 

“You always get the top scores Ami. I envy you.” Greg said smiling at the girl of his dreams.

 

“It's no big deal, really” Ami responded smiling back.

 

“Of course it is Ami. You must be a genius”

 

“No. I'm not that special. I just study real hard that's all”

 

“So do all the other kids at our school, but you always come out on top. You're great Ami, face it.”

 

“Well, thank you.” Ami was now blushing

 

“I'm just being honest” Greg said blushing himself.

 

“Oh! There's my ride. I'll see you Monday Ami.” Greg waves at Ami while running to his car.

 

“See you Greg!” Ami shouts, waving back. Once Greg's car pulls off Ami notice her friend waiting for her. She was looking at her with a smirk. Ami walks up to her friend acting like she didn't notice her expression.

 

“Hi Rei? How was your day at school?”

 

“Fine, Fine, but what about you Ami? Who was that guy you were talking to huh?” Rei asked smiling.

 

“Oh, he's just a guy I go to school with that's all.” Ami answers faking ignorance.

 

“Yeah right! He didn't look like some guy to me.”

 

“You're making too much out of nothing. Anyway, what are you doing this weekend?

 

Seeing that Ami wanted to change the subject, Rei decides to let the boy issue go, for now. “I was hoping we can go to the mall on Saturday.”

 

“Sure. I don't see why we can't. I would love to.”

 

“Great, because there is this dress I want to get. It's a Chinese style blue dress with glitter all over it.” Rei finished with big dreamy eyes.

 

“Cool! I might fine something I like as well. Like the latest Shawn Wells Novel.”

 

“Books? Ami, we go to the mall to have fun, not read. We get enough of that in school.”

 

“Well reading is fun to me Rei.” Ami defended.

 

“To each there own I guess.”

 

Ami and Rei are now walking to Ami's apartment. They talk about the latest TV shows they watched. They also talk about the test both girls had to take at their separate schools and how they did. Rei tries to bring the boy she saw with Ami back up a couple of times, but Ami play it off. Finally they arrive at Ami's place.

 

“Okay, so you will come over to the temple at one o clock and we will head for the mall.” Rei said to Ami.

 

“Sounds good to me, I'll see you tomorrow at one.”

 

“Okay, bye”

 

“Bye”

 

 

Rei is finish washing up. She gets out the bathtub, puts on a new robe and heads for her room. When she gets there, she takes off her robe and looks at herself in the mirror butt naked.

 

“Looking good Rei.” She said to herself as she opens the closet to put on one of her outfits. She decides to put on dark tight blue jeans and a nice fitting dark blue tee shirt that says lovely on it in red letters. She then puts on white Nike shoes to complete the outfit. Rei stands up and looks at herself in the mirror. Liking what she sees, she smiles at herself before she leaves the room.

 

Grandpa sees Rei enter the kitchen with a smile on her face. He's drinking green tea and reading his afternoon paper. Rei grabs a box of cereal out of the cupboard and pours some into the bowl. She then goes into the fridge and takes out some milk. She pours some into the bowl, which causes some crack and pop noise to come from the bowl. Rei goes and sits down across the table from Grandpa.

 

“Good day Grandpa. How are you doing?”

 

“I'm doing fine Rei. How about you? You look like your dressed to go somewhere.”

 

“Yeah, I'm waiting for Ami to come over so we can go to the mall.”

 

“That's good dear. I hope you both have a good time.” Grandpa looks at her smiling.

 

“Don't worry we will.” Suddenly, Rei hears a knock on the temple door. Rei only halfway through her cereal gets up and heads for the door. On her way she grabs her purse. When she reaches the door and opens it, she comes face to face with Ami. Ami had on a pink jumper suit and glasses.

 

“So, you ready to go?” Ami asked smiling.

 

“You bet. I can't wait to go shopping” Rei answered in a high-pitched voice.

 

The girls leave Hikawa Temple. They start to walk to the mall. On the way they are talking about all the stuff they're going to look at and some of the stuff they're going to buy. Ami said she couldn't wait to go to the book place to read some books. Since she plans take a couple of them home. Rei is also talking about the dress she plans to get. While they are walking both girls run into some of their other friends and talk to them for a half an hour. Then the girls continue on their way. Finally, after a couple of hours from a bus ride, Ami and Rei arrive at the mall.

 

When they walk into the main entrance, Ami heads for the book place and Rei heads for a popular fashion shop for women. They both spent a couple of hours in there. Ami is reading one of her favorite books, while Rei's trying on different outfits. Even though she already bought the dress she was looking for. Rei decides to look at several more dresses she might want to buy on another visit. When Rei finally finishes shopping, she leaves the clothing store and heads towards the books place. When she gets there, she starts looking for Ami. When she finds her, she stops in her tracks. Ami had over twenty different books pilled up on top of each other. She's so into the book she's currently reading, she didn't notice Rei standing across the table looking at her. Rei decides to make Ami aware of her presents. “Hey!” Rei shouts quickly. Ami jumps in surprise. She looks up and sees Rei standing there smiling at her.

 

“Good book huh?”

 

“Well, yes it's very well written.” Ami said getting up from the table. “How about you? Did you get what you were looking for?”

 

“Oh! You bet. Plus I got five other outfits.” Rei shows Ami the three bags stuffed with clothes.

 

“Great! Let me go buy this one book. Then we'll be on our way.” Ami and Rei walk to the front of the book place. She gives the book to the clerk, then pays for it when the clerk gave her the price. After buying the book, both girls walk out of the store and go to the side of the huge walkway.

 

“What are we going to do now?” Ami asked her good friend.

 

“Well the day is still young. I say we hit the arcade.” Rei answered with a big smile on her face.

 

“Okay. Ami smiles. There is the new Sailor V game I want to play anyway.” Both girls' head down the mall walkway. They take the elevator down to the first floor. The girls leave the elevator, and walk down all the way to the west side of the mall. Towards the end is a huge arcade center where a lot of people are playing all kinds of games. Ami and Rei enter the arcade and made their way to the front desk. There's a guy there that is exchanging dollars for game tokens. The girls approach him and give him ten dollars to change. After the man makes the change, both girls take half of the tokens and head their separate way. Ami makes her way towards the Sailor V game and Rei heads over towards the All Star Racing Challenge game. There is someone already playing on the machine. Rei looks at the person play while she waits her turn. Luckily the person that was playing, wasn't any good. In less than three minutes the player loses the race. A game over screen comes up and the person in the arcade car model starts to get up. When she does, Rei notices that the person who was playing the game is someone she knows.

 

“Usagi!” Rei shouts in a high-pitched voice. Usagi turns around. She sees her friend Rei standing there smiling at her.

 

“Rei-chan!” Usagi says as she walks over to Rei and gives her a hug. Rei puts her shopping bags down and hugs her back. Both girls let go of each other and look at each other.

 

“So, what you got their Rei?” Usagi asked her friend.

 

“Just some clothes I got from the place upstairs. What about you?”

 

“You know me. I'm a real arcade freak. I always come here on the weekends and play the latest games.”

 

“Yeah! And hit on the token clerk.” Rei said laughing.

 

“Hey! That was a schoolgirl crush. I'm much more mature now.” Usagi, however, was showing a babyish look on her face. “Besides, I already have a wonderful boyfriend.”

 

“What! Really! Since when?”

 

“Since two months ago. He's so cute.” Rei sees Usagi's eyes turn dreamy.

 

“What's his name?”

 

“Oh! No! You're not going to steal him from me. His name and his identity is my secret.”

 

“Come on Usagi. I'm not trying to steal anything. I just want to know who it is your going with now.”

 

“Well don't worry about it. I'm happy with him, that's all that matters.” Seeing how Usagi was being stubborn, Rei decides to let the issue drop.

 

“Well I hope you two have a happy and long relationship.”

 

“Thanks Rei. I hope we have a long relationship too.” Usagi said smiling. “Speaking of him, I have to get going. I'm supposed to meet him at this café for dinner. See ya!” Usagi turns around and runs off, almost tripping on herself as she leaves. Rei laughs then shakes her head. “Same old Usagi” Rei said to herself.

 

Rei then picks up her shopping bags and walks a couple of feet towards the arcade-racing machine. She puts the bags down next to it, then she sits in the cars cockpit. She inserts a token into the machine and starts playing. Unlike Usagi, Rei was good, she very good in fact. She loved racing car games, and this one was one of the best in that genre right now. She was doing so well a crowd starts to form around her. Soon she made it to championship race. Nobody else had gotten this far in the game yet. Soon the crowd was getting larger and they start to cheer for her. Ami now done with her game goes over to where Rei is. However, she finds unable can't get through because of the large crowd in the way. Rei was doing well at the start of the race, but soon the AI in the game starts to act cheap. No matter how much she was leading the race, she couldn't shake the computer-controlled cars. Rei was now at the final lap. She uses her booster, but still the CPU cars are tailing her. She goes to make the final turn when her car spins out of control. “OHHHH!!!” The crowd responds as the AI cars take the lead knocking Rei down to forth place. Rei gets back into the race and was able to pass one of the cars to get in third place. Unfortunately, the race was over and Rei finished in place third. Because you had to get first place in the final championship race, Rei didn't qualify. So, her game comes to an end. She was ranked first place on the top score screen, however. She signs her initials and gets up from the machine. The crowd that formed starts to break up. Some of the people compliment Rei on her driving skills.

 

Finally after the crowd was gone, Ami was able to get through. She walks towards Rei. She sees that Rei has an angry look on her face. She couldn't blame her. She had seen the race as well. Her friend was so close to beating the game.

 

“Don't let it get to you Rei. It's just a game. You'll beat it next time.”

 

“Yeah, I know. I was just so-close. Oh well, how did you do?”

 

“I had fun. That new Sailor V game rocks. I'm definitely getting it when it comes out on the consoles.”

 

“Really! Let me check it out.” Rei said getting happy again. Ami seeing this smiles too and leads Rei over towards the Salior V machine. The girls play it for twenty minutes. Then they play other arcade games. Soon an hour an a half passes and both girls leave the arcade. Ami walks out with a teddy bear Rei won for her in a hoop shooting game.

 

“That was fun. What time is it?” Rei asked her smart friend.

 

“6:50PM.”

 

“Wow! We've been here a lot longer than I thought we'd be. Lets go get something to eat my treat.”

 

“No Rei. You've done enough for me already. Let me buy dinner, I insist.” Ami said looking Rei in the eyes.

 

“Well okay if you insist,” was Rei's humble reply. The girls walk down the mall. They walk pass the people on the way making sure not to bump into them. The last thing they want to do was drop their bags. Soon the girls arrive at the mall restaurant. Both girls sit at one of the tables away from other people so they wouldn't be crowded. Ami puts her stuff on the side of the table and gets up.

 

“What do you want me to get you Rei?”

 

“Oh, just a pizza would be fine. That way we can both share it.”

 

“Okay. I'll go make the order. What do you want on the pizza?”

 

“Let me thing. I guess extra cheese would be nice.”

 

“Extra cheese it is.” Ami said, before turning around and walking towards the restaurant counter. As Ami leaves, Rei looks around. She sees many different people sitting at their table eating, talking, and laughing. She notices that most of them are couples having a good time. Rei begins to think back on her talk with Usagi and how she was so secretive about her new boyfriend.

 

“I wonder who he is?” Rei asked herself. She was so lost in thought, she didn't hear Ami comeback and sit down.

 

“What are you thinking about?” Ami asked. Rei snaps out of her thoughts when she heard this. Then the worried teen looks at Ami.

 

“Nothing really. I saw Usagi in the arcade.”

 

“Really? How is she?” Ami asked because Usagi was her friend as well.

 

“She's doing very well, actually. In fact she has a new boyfriend.”

 

“Really? Who is he?”

 

“That's what's bothering me. Usagi didn't say.” Rei said looking a little sad. “She said I would try and steal him away. If she told me who he was.”

 

“That doesn't make sense. She knows you're not that type of person.”

 

“I know, but that's how she reacted.”

 

“Strange. Oh well, we can't worry about that. Usagi has her right to privacy.” Ami finished looking around at the scenery.

 

“Yeah, I guess you're right.” Both girls continue to talk about other things while they wait patiently for their pizza to get done. When it did, both girls eat the whole pizza enjoying the taste.

 

Another hour passes.
