"Welcome, princess" bowed a lady, in the same fuku as
Michiru, Haruka and Hotaru. She had
dark green hair. Half tied up in a
bun. She held a staff that
resembled a key.

Usagi looked around.
There was fog everywhere.
The place seemed so empty.
The only thing really there was the woman, and the gate that was behind
her. What is that?

"Please don't call me that" said Usagi.

"Why? That is your proper title" she replied.

"My name is Usagi.
Not princess, or any other formal title" stated Usagi.

The woman smiled.
"My name is Sailor Pluto.
Or, you may call me Setsuna"

"Setsuna…the name is familiar" spoke Usagi.

"It should. To
answer some of your questions, I'll show you the last days of your kingdom
before it was destroyed" responded Sailor Pluto as she then rose to her full
height, then, raised her staff, and unlocked the gate behind her. A blinding white light filled her eyes
as she gasped in surprise.

Usa…a princess? That thought kept running through
Daisuke Motomiya's head all through the walk back home. His Usa…his girl. His best friend. Yet, she didn't even know it
herself.

"What's wrong Daisuke?" questioned Miyako, noticing the
sudden silence in the boy.

Daisuke looked up at the mention of his name. "It's nothing" he responded. He tossed her one of his grins.

He hoped Usa was alright. He didn't know when that psychopath
would come and try to take Usa again.

"I don't want to marry him!" shouted Princess Selenity. She knew she was acting like a spoiled
brat, but she didn't care.

"Selenity, you have to marry Endymion. For the sake of our kingdom" spoke
Selenity's mother gently.

Selenity sighed in defeat. "Alright mother. I will"

Selenity turned and left. Maybe I'll go into the
gardens…

Selenity walked, not caring where she was going. She didn't want to marry that arrogant
prince.

"Wait, Veemon!" cried a voice.

Selenity turned to see a blue creature running, and then
accidentally bumping into her leg.

"Itai…" she heard it mutter.

Selenity knelt down in alarm and balanced the creature in her
arms. "Are you alright?" she
questioned. The creature looked up
to her in surprise.

"Veemon!"

A young boy with wild mahogany hair approached. He also knelt down, and then he noticed
the mark on Selenity's forehead.

"You-You're Princess Selenity!" he exclaimed. Then he began to apologize. "I'm really sorry about Veemon…"

Selenity giggled.
"It's ok. Veemon is so
cute"

Veemon felt a little flushed, and his face felt a little
warm.

"What's your name?" questioned Selenity to the boy.

He grinned.
"Daisuke"

"It's a pleasure to meet you Daisuke" smiled Selenity. She looked down at Veemon. "What exactly is he?"

"He's a digimon.
They are found just about everywhere. But, I found Veemon on Mars, when my
parents took me there when I was five" responded Daisuke.

"I wish I could have one," whispered Selenity to herself.

"Digimon are the best companions you could have" stated
Daisuke.

"All my friends are on their on planets" continued Selenity
as if she had never heard Daisuke speak.
She hugged Veemon, crying slightly.

"D'suke…" started Veemon hesitantly.

"Princess, would you like to have Veemon?" suggested
Daisuke.

Selenity released her grip on Veemon and shook her head. "No, that's alright" She then handed
Veemon back to Daisuke.

She stood, and a smile graced her features once again. "I have to go"

Dai-chan…he's a part of my past as well. This is too confusing. I wish I could clear this all up. I don't want to be the princess. I just want to be a normal
girl.

Why couldn't Usa be normal? Daisuke threw his shoes on the floor,
and plopped down on his bed. Usa
doesn't want to be a princess. She
just wants to live her life the way it is.
He closed his eyes.
Usa has been through so much; she doesn't deserve to have the worries
that come with being the princess.
If I could, I would release that burden from her.

"I usually like balls, but, this one is so…. pretense" stated
Selenity.

Rei smiled at her.
"Oh, this is your party, and were not about to let you be a downer"

"Rei's right.
This ball is to announce your engagement to Prince Endymion," agreed
Minako

"Yeah girl. You
should be excited" slipped in Makoto.

"Well I'm not. I
don't like that arrogant prince at all.
He-"

"May I have this dance princess?" questioned the hard voice
of Endymion.

Selenity whirled around, about to object, but notice the
warning glances from her mother. Mother must have told him to ask me to
dance. "Yes, you may" she
answered in a curt, polite voice.
She saw her mother smile appreciating towards her. Only for you mother. Only for you.

They entered the dance floor, along with other couples. All the happy couples. And I'm stuck with being
unhappy. I want to dance with
someone I love. Daisuke…

Selenity blushed.
Why was she thinking about him? He was nothing more than a common
boy. But, when was she one to judge
someone just because of his or her stature. She must have been hanging around
Endymion WAY too long.

"Ugh! Look at this filthy creature!" yelled someone.

Selenity turned, and her expression turned to one of
happiness as she saw Veemon. Veemon
saw her and began to run towards her.
He then jumped up towards her, Selenity held out her arms, and laughed at
the young digimon.

"What are you up to Veemon?" she asked. "And where is Daisuke?"

"D'suke is right behind me," he answered.

"Veemon!" scowled Daisuke as he approached them. A slight tint was on his cheeks. "I told you not to come in here!"

"It's alright Daisuke" apprehended Selenity.

"See, told you D'suke" returned Veemon.

"Princess, do you know these two miscreants?" asked
Endymion.

"They are not miscreants. They are my friends. And I hope that you hold that tongue of
yours" replied Selenity.

"What are you doing talking to commoners?" questioned
Endymion. "I forbid you to talk to
commoners like them"

"You can't forbid me to do anything. I am a free woman, allowed to talk to
whom ever I want," retorted Selenity.

"We're under attack!" yelled Luna. Luna and Artemis ran through, informing
of the attack Beryl and her army were placing on them.

"We'll continue this later" said Endymion before going to
fight Beryl.

Selenity glared at Endymion's back. She then turned to Daisuke. "Come on. We have to get to safety"

Daisuke shook his head.
"No way. Come on
Veemon!"

Daisuke and Veemon then went towards where the battle
was. Selenity stared,
horrified. She then ran after
them.

"Veemon! Digivolve!" he shouted. "Digiarmor…Energize!"

Veemon digivolve to…Flamedramon!

"Fire rockets!" Flamedramon aimed for the lady with red
hair. Big mistake.

"Damn you! You'll pay for that!"

"Flamedramon, you can beat her!" encouraged Daisuke.

"Daisuke, someone is here to see you" called Daisuke's
mother.

Taichi then opened the door to his room. "Hey" he greeted.

"What's up?" questioned Daisuke as he sat straight up
on his bed.

"You seemed kind of down before we separated. I'd thought I'd check up on you" spoke
Taichi.

"Well, I'm ok," replied Daisuke

"Daisuke, why?" questioned Selenity.

"Because, I couldn't let you die" he winced in pain. He had jumped in front of the blast, to
save Selenity.

"D'suke…" sobbed Veemon in between tears.

"Daisuke…onegai.
Ai-aishiteru" spoke Selenity in between sobs.

"That's funny.
Because, aishiteru" Daisuke
smiled, then he closed his eyes, and took his last breath for the last time.

Tears flowed.
"Daisuke!" she cried. She
turned, noticing a soldiers' sword.
She took it, then thrust into her.
Directly above her broken heart.

Veemon continued to watch. His eyes big, and crying.

"This is so sad.
First her highness, then Daisuke-san, and Selenity" whispered Luna as she
came near Veemon.

"It's all Metallica's fault!" cried Veemon. Beryl was dead, and the only one living
now was Metallica. Metallica was
the one at fault.

"Soon, we will be sent into the future, and we will all be
able to begin anew," replied Luna

"I just was D'suke and S'lenity to be alright," he
mumbled.

"Everything will be as if nothing happened," said Luna

"That was the last days of our kingdom, princess," said
Sailor Pluto, as the visions ended.

Usagi was on her knees crying. "What ever happened to Rei, Makoto,
Minako and Ami?"

Ami was never in the visions, but she was engraved in her
memory. She was the first senshi to
die.

"They were reincarnated in different bodies. They will appear," replied Sailor
Pluto.

"I-I want to go home" whispered Usagi

Sailor Neptune placed comforting arms around her. "Of course sweetie"
