What up all, I know I am writing this fic, even though I have about a million others... No wait hold on let me check...

Ookami's computer: “Ookami, you are the proud owner of 3,456,673 fanfics of your own invention. Now stop writing this and set me free dangit, you promised.”

Ookami: “I said you had to do the disclaimer!”

Computer: “...Friggin slave driver... Ookami doesn't own squat, and if you sue, the Sun will fall out of the sky and squish you because you were mean to her.”

Ookami: “Thanks... Now go away before I give you a virus.”

“No one knows me, I just exist. I always have, and always will. My name is Selenae, and I am the guardian of my sisters. My sisters of the Moon and Sky. They do not know of me, but I will always protect them. Moon-sister is Tsukino Usagi. She is my adorable sister, the one to always bring you out of your troubles. Sky-sister is Tenno Haruka. She is the protective tomboy, always ready to lend a fist. It is of the utmost importance that they never find out about me. End recording 6-12-05.” Selenae rose from her seat on the floor, and looked out the window. She cracked it open, and a cool breeze washed over her as she stared at the moon. Finding its call irresistable, she shut the window and walked out the door.

Selenae silently slipped down the secluded path to the park, occasionally stopping to pick a flower. She stepped off the path, silent as a whisper and into the moonlight. She bathed in the light, and spun as the wind caressed her body. A sudden snapping noise sent her fleeing into the shadows, staring out at the people who entered the park. She breathed out whisper soft “Moon-sister...” Her sister entered the park, tugging a man with dark hair behind her. Selenae slowly breathed in and out so as not to attract attention. Usagi sat down on the bench and pulled the dark-haired man down nex to her. “Mamo-chan, isn't it beautiful?” She said reverently looking up at the rainbow that graced the sky. “This is the first lunar rainbow since... since the day the Silver Millenium collapsed. But this time I belive it is a harbinger of happiness, yours and mine. Ne Mamo-chan?” Mamoru stood up and stared at her, eyes dark with disgust. “I'm afraid not Usagi. There will never be true happiness for you and me, because you disgust me. You're weak, a crybaby, a klutz, and an idiot. I could never love you. I refuse to ever see you again, goodbye.” As he walked off, tears welled up in her eyes. But instead of the siren-like wail, the tears just poured down her cheeks as she curled into a ball. Selenae could take it no more, even if it endangered the future, she couldn't let her sister be in so much pain with no comfort. “Miss? Miss, are you alright?” She asked in an almost silent whisper. Usagi raised her head, and looked at Selenae. “I... I'm alright...” Selenae walked up to her and sat down. “What he said wasn't true, you have a very kind heart, and any problems you have are just adolescence. Please stop crying, you can't let him hurt you like this.” Selenae said in her soft whisper. Usagi looked up once more and tried to choke back her sobs. But when Usagi couldn't stop them, Selenae threw her arms around Usagi and let her cry.

When her sobs finally stopped, Usagi stood up and apologized profusely until Selenae held a hand to her mouth. “It's okay, I couldn't stand to see another person in such pain.” Usagi looked up at the sky and gasped lightly, it was almost dawn. “Oh no, I have to go home, Kenji-papa and Ikuko-mama will be so worried!” Selenae stared at her, then said “Do you wish to stay at my house, you could call your parents and tell them where you are.” Usagi nodded silently, she was too sleepy to make it home. They walked silently up the path. After Usagi called her parents, both girls fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning, Selenae was setting out breakfast when she was interrupted by a crash. She turned around to see Usagi picking up the shards of a broken glass. Whne she finshed, she threw them into the garbage and walked ouver to the table, and tripped in the process. After they finished breakfast, Usagi had to leave, but Selenae invited her to come over every day so she could help Usagi with her problems.

 

Two years later, Usagi and Selenae were walking down the street, and as they passed by Crown, Usagi led Selenae in, giggling softly. They walked gracefully up the stairs, and entered the parlor. Usagi stared, amazed by how much it had changed. They walked up to the counter and ordered a medium chocolate milkshake apiece. Motoki too their order without a hint of recognition on his face. After all, no one would recognize a quieter Usagi with a waist-length ponytail instead of her usual meatballs. Even Unazuki didn't recognize her. Usagi was paying their bill, when a group of people entered noisily into the parlor. Leading them was a blonde girl with a red bow in her hair, and a raven haired man. Usagi snickered as she walked back to Selenae, realizing who they were. Selenae leaned over and whispered something into Usagi's ear. Her crystalline laughter rang throughout the silent room as everyone looked around. Motoki walked over to her, and peered into her eyes. “Usa... Usagi-chan is that you?” He whispered loudly into the silence. When Usagi nodded, he threw his arms around her. She smiled and said “Nice to see you too onii-chan.” After her brief reunion with Motoki and Unazuki, Usagi and Selenae stood up to leave. As she walked by the table where the loud group were sitting, the blonde lept out of her chair and hugged Usagi. As she peeled the blonde off of her, Usagi said icily “Aino-san, please do not touch me.” And walked off. They walked out the door, and promptly walked into a tall blonde wall. Usagi muttered to herself, before she looked up into the wall's face. “Haruka-chan, I missed you!” Unlike everyone else, Haruka instantly recognized her “Koneko-chan, I missed you too!” Haruka gathered her friend into a hug, and then noticed the person standing behind her. She set Usagi down and held out her hand. “I'm Tenno Haruka, nice to meet you.” Selenae took Haruka's hand and whispered in her soft voice “Nice to meet you too Haruka-san, I am Kanshisha Selenae. (AN: Kanshisha = Guardian) Usagi-chan told me about you.” Haruka stared at Usagi, who just looked back at her. Usagi just shrugged, as the three of them headed down the street. They reached the park, and Selenae turned down the path that led to her house, Haruka and Usagi following behind. She unlocked the front door, and stepped inside. She led them down the hallway to a door covered in elegant engravings. She traced a symbol on the door, and it glowed briefly before it swung open. Beyond the door was a magnificent room decorated in blue and gold. Haruka stepped through the doorway, and the room came to life. What had looked like a detailed painting of a waterfall, actually began to flow, and a soft breeze began to flow throught the room. Haruka was completely at home here, and she had no idea why. A shiver went down her spine as she pulled out her sword. She pressed it against Selenae's throat and said “Who are you, and what do you want with us?” Selenae let out a soft tinkling laugh, and pushed the sword away from her, ignoring the blood that dripped from her hand. “Sky-sister, please. I cannot tell you who I am, but know this, I mean you and Moon-sister no harm, and I never will.” Feeling a familiar tingling in the corners of her eyes, she stood up straighter and said “If you choose not to trust me, that is your buisness Haruka.” And she walked out of the door. Usagi walked over to Haruka and said “Please Haruka, don't listen to your head. Listen to your heart, it will tell you that Selenae means us no harm.” Haruka closed her eyes as she listened to the wind and its choice.

Selena ran down the hallway as fast as she could, and bolted into a room with a solid black door. “Are you trying to ruin everything Selenae, You're lucky they didn't recognize what you called them. I can't believe you are that stupid!” Selenae yelled at herself as she collapsed to the floor in tears. “Sky-sister, why can't you trust me?” She whispered softly as she pressed her bleeding hand to her mouth.

A year later, as Usagi was throwing a party for Hotaru's graduation a shiver went down the spines of the assembled senshi. They walked outside to see an ominous black cloud covering the sky. A deep evil-sounding voice echoed throughout the sky “Serenity, my princess. Come to me.” A black wisp floated down out of the sky, and began to surround Usagi. All the other senshi transformed, and began to attack the black wisp, but to no avail. It completely engulfed Usagi then dissappeared. A shadowed form stepped out from the doorway and said “No matter what you do Endymion, I will be getting Moon-sister back.” Uranus grabbed the figure and dragged her out into the light. She stopped and stared at a sight she hoped to never see again. Selenae was standing ther, with a vicious smirk on her face. “You're going to pay Endymion, I'll see to it as the Tsuki no Kanshisha and the Ten no Kanshisha. She was about to storm off when Uranus grabbed her collar once again. Selenae turned to her and hissed in a deadly whisper “Let me go Sky-sister, I am the Kanshisha, and I will not be stopped.” Uranus spun her around and glared. “I'm going with you. Just me.” The other senshi began to protest, but Selenae and Uranus quickly slipped away. Selenae quickly led them to the place where Usagi was being held. She was chained to a wall, in an upright position, and there were angry red marks all over her flesh. Snatching a ring of keys from the other side of the cell, Uranus began to try every one. Somewhere, about 3/4 of the way through, she finally found the right one. Once the manacles around her wrists opened, Usagi collapsed to the floor. Uranus picked her up, and they walked over to the cell door. It wouldn't budge. Selenae began kicking it, but nothing helped. Uranus set Usagi down and was about to blast the door when Mamoru materialized outside of it. “I wouldn't do that if I were you Uranus, unless you want to fry Serenity.” Angry, Selenae shot her hand out through the bars and grabbed his collar. “Release us Endymion, or suffer.” Mamoru pulled his collar from her hand and stepped back. “On the contrary Selenae, it will be you who suffers. Right my future sister-in-law?” Selenae lashed out at him once againg, but couldn't quite reach him. Mamoru smirked at her plight and said “I do believe you should tell them some time soon, it is quite a blow. A secret like that.” He laughed once again as he dissappeared. Selenae turned to face the other occupants of the cell, when Uranus pushed her against the wall. She glared at Selenae, and said “What secret?” Selenae looked down at the floor for the longest time, then finally spoke up. “I am your half sister, Usagi's as well. Back in the Silver Millenium, before your births, Queen Selenity of the Moon and Prince Thetus of Uranus were in love. A few weeks before they announced their engagement, Prince Thetus' father died and his older brother, Crown Prince Theron abdicated. Making Prince Thetus the King of Uranus. And as such he could no longer marry Queen Selenity. A few days after he took the crown, Queen Selenity found out she was pregnant, so she quickly packed up and went for a vacation to see Sailor Pluto. There they speeded up the process, so in a few day, my brother and I were born. Queen Selenity left me with Pluto, and arranged for my brother to be sent to Earth. Thus concealing us from the public. When she went back to the Moon, she married a little known noble and about two years later became pregnant again. King Thetus also quickly married, and after a year, his wife became pregnant as well. So, the only ones who knew of my existence were Sailor Pluto and Queen Selenity. I spent many years with Pluto, training for my duties. And on the day of Princess Althera's sixteenth birthday, I was sent to Uranus to meet her. I was introduced to her as Kanshisha, and was given a strict warning by Sailor Pluto to never let her know of my relationship to her. Pluto and I had created a simple story to explain the birthmark on my forehead. The birthmark was a gold sigil of Uranus on its side. Also, my brother had one, a blue crecent tipped up onto its side . Pluto said that she had discovered me on Charon, and after divining my fate through the timelines, realized I was the guardian of Althera, and until the other guardian was found, I would be the guardian of Serenity as well. During her sixteenth year, Serenity was engaged to Prince Endymion of Earth, to prevent what had happened to her mother. When they met, there was no soul bond, they just sort of got along. But not very well. When Kanshisha came to the Moon, Endymion despised her, and she hated him as well. He constantly tried to get her in trouble, but she just ignored him. Princess Althera and Princess Saltha of Neptune helped her out of any trouble that he caused to her. The day before the Moon was attacked, Pluto called me to the Time gates and wouldn't allow me to join the fight. Until recently, Pluto had me help her with the time gates and train. After yours and Usagi's sixteenth birthday's, I was sent to guard you both.” Uranus stared at her in shock, and slowly reached out to touch the sigil glowing on Selenae's forehead. As her fingertips brushed up against it, a gold flash lit the room and hidden memories were restored. Uranus began to cry as she reached out and embraced her sister and best friend. Another pair of arms wrapped around them as Usagi hugged them both. She had regained conciousness just as Selenae began her story. “How touching. Especially after all these years.” A evil voice said as Mamoru stepped around the corner. he was dressed in a solid black version of his Endymion armor, with a glowing black sword at his side. He stepped into the rom and cast a spell around Uranus and Usagi, preventing them from moving. Selenae stood up and drew a sword sheathed in a silver and gold aura. Wasting no time, she thrust directly at Mamoru, who swiftly parried. She danced back out of his range as he swung at her, but didn't see as he threw a rose at her. The black rose grazed her side, causing her to gasp in pain. He walked up to her and thrust viciously, but she dodged, barely. Grasping her sword by the blade, she thrust the hilt into his stomach, causing him to stumble backwards. As he regained his breath, Selenae slowly stood up, her vision blurring a little. She easily dodged his slach at her neck, but slammed into the fist waiting for her. She jumped back, wiping the blood off her lip. “That was the worst mistake of your life Mamoru.” She whispered as she darted forward. As he slashed at her, she dropped to the ground and kicked his feet out from under him. He lay on his back, dazed from the blow to his head, as Selenae raised her sword up. The sword's aura flared as she thrust the sword down into his heart. The black aura around him condensed for a second, then shattered and dissappeared, taking Mamoru with it. Selenae collapsed to her knees as a portal opened up in front of her. Sailor Pluto stepped out, and walked up to her. “Selenae.” she whispered softly as she placed her hand under Selenae's head. Selenae raised it up to meet Pluto's gaze and sighed. Pluto stared at her for a minute before continuing. “Selenae, I'm here to offer you a choice. You could die and be reborn with your powers, to forever watch over your sister's from the Time gates. Or, you could live on earth with your sisters, without your powers. I know it will be a hard decision, but please choose wisely.” Selenae looked at each of her sisters, and rose to her feet. She paused before looking back at them once again, then whispered.

“I choose to live.”
