Starry Eyes
Haruka can't focus. She can't sleep, she can't race, all she can think about is him. What's going on? Will it ever stop? And what the hell is she going to do about Michiru? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Sailor Moon is not mine. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Tenoh Haruka hurriedly climbed the stairs to the Hino residence, desperate to get out of the storm, and maybe to find a few answers.
The Dream had begun plaguing her with sleepless nights about two weeks ago. It had also begun to show her lack of focus in daily activities. She still won all of her races, but she could feel them getting closer and closer each time, and she could tell she was losing her steam. Her only way to get back on her game was to figure what the dream meant, which, unfortunately, also meant telling someone.
Hino Rei was jolted awake in the middle of the night by someone ferociously knocking on her door. At first, she considered just letting them stay there. What reason had they to knocking on door at a quarter to one in the morning? That was, of course, until she noticed the storm raging outside. Due to her lack of movement, the knocking ceased, and some rather, ahem, colorful, language could be heard outside.
`Wait,' thought Rei. `I know those curses.' She dashed to the door and flung it open to reveal a very soaked, exasperated, very soaked, out of breath, and very soaked Tenoh.
“Oh my gosh, Haruka, I'm soooo sorry! I was asleep when I heard you knocking, so…”
“Don't worry `bout it Rei.”
“Oh! Come in! Get out of the rain! You can tell I'm a bit tired today!” Haruka simply chuckled as Rei led her into the fire room.
“So, Haruka, why were you out this late?” asked a curious Rei.
“Actually, I was, I wanted to, to talk to you.”
“Really?” Rei seemed taken aback. Haruka usually never voiced her problems to anyone, not even Michiru.
“Well, you know I'm always here for you girls, what's the problem?”
“It's, a dream.”
The two girls sat in front of the warm fire.
“Tell me about it!” insisted Rei
“First,” replied an obviously nervous Haruka. “You have to promise not to tell any of the other girls about it. It's very personal. And very, um, e-embarrassing.” Haruka's face turned to an unnatural red as she said this.
“Don't worry Haruka, I won't spill.” Rei, who knew that this was one of Haruka's few weaknesses, and her strongest, also added, “Just take it one sentence at a time.”
“Well, there's this, this guy.” Rei's eyes widened. You never, ever heard, or expected to hear, Haruka talking about a “there's this guy” problem! Besides, she had Michiru!! However, Rei listened on in silence.
“From the looks of it, I guess a Senshi battle had just been completed, he got hit by a blast, and now he's leaning on my shoulder for support. I pause to help him after he slips, and we fall behind the rest of the Senshi. As I'm pulling him up, I slip as well, and he begins laughing softly, so I start laughing to. As I calm down, he..” Haruka breaks off, as swallows, obviously trying to regain her composure. “He slowly leans down, bringing his face closer to mine, till only millimeters apart, then…”
Haruka trailed off into silence, face now as red as Pluto's Garnet Orb, but Rei knew what happened next.
“Can, can you make it go away?” Rei thought for awhile, then slow, sneaky smile began to appear on Rei's face, making haruka slowly start backing away.
“R-rei?”
“Sooooooooo,” Rei began. “Do I know, `this guy'?”
“W-well, h-he's…” Haruka stammered, leaning over to whisper in Rei's ear, although no one else was around to hear.
“*OH MY GOSH! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS LOGICAL! NO FREAKIN' WAY!!! IT'S THE APOCALYPSE!!! RUN!!!!!!!*”
