“The Course For True Love Never Did Run Smooth”
 
It had began with a knock at the door that would change Minako's life forever.
Today was Usagi's eighteenth birthday and in less then forty-eight hours, she would become Mrs. Chiba Mamoru, Mamoru's bride.
All of Usagi's friends gathered around her; her dearest friends.
They were about to eat the strawberry cake when the knock was heard.
Minako got up since she was closest to the door. It was them.
The three lights had come back.
Soon as Minako opened the door, she was met by the eyes of Seiya Kou. Blue was met by blue. Yaten and Taiki were right back of Seiya. They had witnessed this awkward scene! As Minako and Seiya made eye contact, Minako felt her heart pounding.
“Usagi-chan, the three lights are back!” Minako said very loudly.
“Seiya, Yaten, Taiki; come on in. We were about to start without you.” Usagi said.
Usagi got and gave each starlight a hug. All three of them took a seat.
For some reason; Minako kept looking at Seiya. It was true. Over the years; Seiya Kou did get more handsome.
“So how've you three been? Asked Minako looking at her piece of cake.
“I've been fine. We…or should I say, I wrote quite afew songs.”
“Oh really? Can we them? Asked Usagi.
“My Usako just loves your songs.” Mamoru declared with a smile.
“Sure. Um…Minako-chan, Would you help me sing it? Asked Seiya.
 
A duet with Seiya?! Of Course, how many more chances did she have? Minako wondered to herself.
“sure.” Minako replied.
 
“Kiss Kiss Bang Bang “…
 
It was about five minutes or so later. Usagi was the loudest one clapping.
Seiya looked to Minako. She had changed. This made Seiya look at Minako in a different light.
“Minako-chan, you were great! Wasn't she; Yaten, Taiki?” Asked Seiya.
“To tell you the truth Minako-san' you have great potential.” Taiki agreed.
Minako looked deep into Seiya's gorgeous eyes and soon as Seiya and Taiki said those words to her, she forced herself to look away from Seiya Seiya's
Eyes as she blushed.
“Thank you.” Was all Minako said.
“Please excuse me, I'm going to get some more drinks.” Minako said.
Soon as she said those words, she was up and into the kitchen already.
 
Minako opened the refridgetor door and grabbed the Pepsi, A&W Cream soda, and Sprite.
“Why did you run away like that?” Asked a voice Minako knew instantly.
“Seiya-Kun, I didn't run away; I went to get more soda.” Minako denied.
“Perhaps. But you still ran off like the world was ending.” Seiya stated with a sly grin on his face.
“Seiya-Kun…I…” Minako started to say.
Seiya took three long strokes and was in front of Minako. Minako tried to move herself away from Seiya. She backed herself into the counter.
“You can sense it too…this attraction.” Seiya stated lightly.
Minako was shocked! Seiya lowered his bottom half of his body. It was brushed against her thigh.
“Seiya-Kun, this isn't right. You are in love with Usagi-chan.”
“Yes. But she is getting married in two days, you are not!” Seiya replied smoothly.
“But I…I don't want this!” Minako cried helplessly.
“Minako-chan, this is the best option. What I am looking for is not `love for all eternal, just for the moment.”
“I won't. That would hurt Usagi-chan!”
“Think about yourself for once, please!” Seiya begged.
“But…”
“No, no more of this!” Seiya replied with angier.
Before Minako knew what was happening, Seiya brought his head down and kissed Minako. Minako, for the most part, couldn't help herself from kissing Seiya back. Unlike from afew years, they were actually kissing.
His kiss was a raw, driving hunger that was filled with passion.
As Minako deeped the kiss, Seiya's hands snaked around her body and brought her even closer to his body.
After realizing what she had done, Minako backed away from Seiya.
This wasn't right!
“God; Minako, I want you so badly.”
“Seiya-Kun, stop!” Minako said.
“Why?” Asked Seiya.
“Because…” Minako was at a loss, she didn't know what to say.
“Minako-chan; I know you were in love before. We both tried love once, all it did was hurt us.” Seiya said.
Seiya picked up Minako's body and put her on the counter, he brought his head down again kissing her, and running his hands all over her sweet body.
Minako felt her tears coming on. The reason why he wanted her was because she resembled Usagi!
Minako pushed Seiya away from her, slid sown the counter and slapped Seiya across the face. Hard.
Seiya stood at the same spot.
“What the hell , Minako?” Seiya said angrily.
“The only reason you want me is because I resemble Usagi-chan! So you won't even have to turn off the lights if we ever made love or have sex.” Minako replied.
“Is that what you truly think?” Asked Seiya. He didn't let her give her respond, since he wasn't finished.
“Because if it is, you should walk out of here right now.”
With that said , Minako grabbed the three sodas on d left the kitchen.
Soon as Minako was back in the living room, she put the sodas on the table.
“Goman ne, Usagi-chan. I must go. My mom needs me home now.” Minako lied, not wanting to tell the truth. “I'll call you later, we have the wedding to discuss.”
“Okay Minako-chan. Ja ne.”
 
Over two days later; the outer senshi, inner senshi, Masaka (Galaxia) and
The three lights were witnessing Usagi and Mamoru exchange their vows of eternal love.
Mamoru looked so handsome in his black tuxedo. Usagi look like the Goddess of the moon, Seren.
Minako actually made afew designs on her dress. On her left shoulder, actually a little below it, Minako put a red rose on her dress. She also put a few sparkles on her dress from hr chest to her torso. Usagi looked incredible!
 
It was about two hours later; Seiya first saw Minako since they're encounter in Usagi's kitchen only forty-eight ago.
In all weddings someone must always give a speech to the newly wed couple.
It was Aino Minako!
“Everyone, please raise your glass in the name of true love. Please join me in this toast to the newly weds, Usagi-chan and Mamoru-San, you guys have taught me that true love conquers all, you two are living evidence of that. This night is for all the love that you to have for each other. Knowing that this kind of love still exists makes me keep looking for the next day. You two are perfect. Love you guys, I guess it is only fitting that the Goddess of Love and Beauty makes this toast.” Minako said with a laugh.
Soon music started playing, Minako hurried up on stage. A day before, Usagi had told Minako that she wanted her to sing at her wedding.
Before Minako started singing, she heard Seiya's voice, he was behind her.
“That was a great toast, Minako.”
Minako turned around and found herself looking into Seiya's heated gaze.
“Seiya-Kun, leave me alone. I promised Usagi something.” Replied Minako.
“So I see. Once you are free, we will talk.” Seiya said as he jumped from the stage.
Minako started singing “Happy Time…Happy Life”….
 
The newly weds got up and started dancing. Usagi was very graceful this night.
Seiya kept his eyes on Minako has he had glass after glass of champagne. His eyes stayed fixated on Minako as he listed to the lyrics. Seiya could see Minako wrote the song. He was very impressed.
Minako looked up and saw Seiya's heated gaze on her.
The song was now finished.
Minako `s dream was in reach!
Not soon after that, Minako began singing “Romance”…her heart was pounding. She needed a guitarist. Seiya was a guitarist.
Seiya saw Minako's gaze, she was motioning to him to get up on the stage again.
Once Seiya did, both he and Minako had a front row seat to Usagi and Mamoru dancing, Rei and Yaten and even Ami and Taiki.
 
Haruka even liked Minako's singing. Michiru had noticed Minako was very mature in these days.
 
Soon the song was over, Minako got down and off the stage, Seiya did as well and grabbed Minako's wrist.
“Seiya-Kun…Let me go.” Minako said angrily and then pleaded.
Seiya did. Minako went to take about fifteen glasses of champagne. Seiya also took another four glasses of champagne.
The time was now two in the morning. Minako and Seiya walked to his house. He no-longer lived with Taiki and Yaten. Soon, Seiya put his key into the lock in the sock it of the door. He gathered Minako into his arms, walked into his house and kicked the door closed. Minako started feeling woozy.
Seiya put Minako on his bed. He lead her down on his bed like he would a five-year-old. Minako opened her eyes and was met by Seiya's eyes. Seiya drew closer to Minako. They started kissing. Minako took off Seiya's black jacket and removed his shirt.
“God, Seiya; I want you so badly.” Was all Minako said.
Seiya didn't need to hear anything else. Seiya slid down Minako's straps to her dress.
One thing was for sure, neither one of them were going to let go of the other tonight.
 
The following day; Minako awoke to birds singing. She then realized that Seiya was next to her.
She was in his house, in his bed! She realized.
Seiya and Minako awoke in his bed. They had spent the night together. He took her purity. When Minako realized this; she motioned Seiya to get up.
“Seiya!” Minako screamed.
“You got what you wanted, didn't you?” Minako asked.
“Minako, No…I didn't want us to be together like this. I wanted the both of us to remember exactly what happened yesterday…I…”
Minako sat up and slapped Seiya ver hard across the face.
“You liar!” Minako quickly ran into Seiya's bathroom with her out fit
from Usagi's wedding.
Minako wouldn't hear anything of it, of what Seiya was telling her.
Soon as she was dressed she walked out of his bathroom.
She was walking towards the door when Seiya grabbed her wrist.
“Don't leave like this Minako. Don't you put the entire blame on me either. It took the two of us to make love, Minako.”
Minako turned around to face Seiya, her anger was apparent in her beautiful features.
“We didn't make love, Damn you. We had sex! Last I heard you were still in love with Usagi-chan and I was still in love with Alan.” Minako stated honestly.
“Look, there is a difference between love and lust. What happened last night was just…”
“Nothing.” Minako said.
“What?” Seiya said as his head flow up, his bangs moved with his head so he could see Minako's expression clearly.
“What happened last night was nothing.” Minako said.
“Oh yes it was. It was mind blowing out of our heads sex.”
“I bet you would know that.” Minako said sarcastically.
“You bet I would know. But you wouldn't. What happened last night couldn't have happened with Alan.” At that moment, Minako was about to slap Seiya again; however, he caught her wrist this time.
 
How dare he say such a thing to her?
 
Minako pulled her other hand out of her wrist out of Seiya's hand, opened the door, and walked out of it and walked out of Seiya's life.
 
Two months had past since Minako had last scene Seiya. It was only afew weeks later; Minako had found out that she was, indeed, expecting. And it was his child. After all, he took her purity and she hadn't been with anyone else since then. Minako wasn't sure if she should tell Seiya or not.
 
There came a certain knock on the door that would change everything in Minako's life, yet again. Minako looked through the p-pole, it was Seiya.
Dear God, it was Seiya!
Minako opened up the door.
“Seiya-Kun?”
“Yes. Minako, may I come in?” Was all Seiya asked.
Minako did let Seiya into her apartment. Soon as Seiya was in, she shut the door and showed Seiya into the living room.
“So what brings you here, Seiya?” Asked Minako politely.
Seiya walked up to Minako, his eyes looking to hers.
“You've been avoiding me for the last two months. Why?” Asked Seiya.
“Seiya, take a seat! I need to tell you something.”
Seiya did as he was told.
“I don't know how to say it so I'll just come right out. I'm going to have a baby….and it's also your child.” Minako said honestly.
“What? How long have you known?” Asked Seiya.
 
This made Minako really look at Seiya. He was in shock! At least it wasn't his body thought Minako. It wasn't his future that was changed.
“About a month.” Minako replied.
 
“Why hadn't you told me when you had found out?” Seiya asked.
“I just couldn't. What if you said I was a whore?! I couldn't have that! And let me tell you one thing, I didn't sleep with anyone but you, Seiya Kou.” Minako replied, defending herself.
“Okay. I am shocked. But I would have never say anything like that.” Seiya said.
“So what do we do?”
“As in?”
“I plan to raise the baby, Seiya.”
Minako said honesty.
“I will help!” confided Seiya.
Seiya, I need to rest…” Minako started to say.
“Say no more. I was just leaving.” Seiya responded honestly.
Once Seiya found out that Minako was having his child, he couldn't believe it.
One thing was for sure though, he would make an honest woman out of her and their child would have the best of everything.
One day about a week later; a woman passed Minako on the street.
“Well if it isn't Seiya Kou's whore? After all, you sold yourself to the highest bidder.” The woman said with hatred.
Minako turned around and started running away form the woman humiliation apparent in Minako's features. As Minako started to run, Seiya showed up so Minako ran right into Seiya's arms.
Seiya lend over Minako's ear, and in his very low pitched voice he whispered in Minako's ear.
“It's about me, Minako. It's not about you.” Seiya said after looking into Minako's eyes, he was worried about her.
“How dare you say that about my fiancée!” Seiya yelled in the woman's direction, Seiya wasn't finished, he would see the woman was not going to reply either.
“Aino Minako, is the sweetest person. I bet you don't have anyone like her in your life. Everyone makes mistakes. Now get the hell out of my sight, you bitch.” Seiya said, full of angier.
“Good day, Seiya Kou.” Was all the woman said.
It was about two hours later, Seiya drove Minako to her apartment.
“Seiya?”
“Yes?”
“When you started yelling at that woman, you said I was your fiancée…why did you call me that.” Minako asked to make sure they were on the same page.
“Isn't that what people call their future wife or husband before they are married?” Asked Seiya, a grin forming on his lips. Sometimes, Minako was just so naïve.
“What?…” Minako started to say.
“Marry me, Minako.” Was all Seiya said.
“But…” Minako started to say, but was cut off yet again.
During this time, Seiya parked in front of Minako's building.
Seiya took a step towards Minako. Minako took a step back. It just hurt to much. Seiya actually standing up for her; yet, he was still in love with Usagi.
“Your scared Minako. Your scared that I might want to be with you and further more , that you also want to be with me too. Don't you deny it!” Seiya said.
“No…I…”
This wasn't happening!
It was then that Minako realized that she was in love with Seiya Kou. However, she didn't want to be hurt again.
Seiya wasn't hearing anymore nonsense! Seiya lightly brushed his lips over hers. It wasn't a kiss like the one he gave her over to months ago. This kiss had no hidden desire. This kiss was just a kiss. But why had Seiya kissed her? Minako wondered to herself.
“Seiya, stop it!”
“Why?”
“Because I…” Minako wasn't sure of what to tell Seiya.
“Minako, you should be mine!” Seiya declared, as he looked deep into Minako's eyes.
“No Seiya. I will never be yours. What I am looking for is love that is some-what like what Usagi-chan and Mamoru-San have. I will never be yours because you are still in love with Usagi-chan!” Minako declared with a sad look in her eyes.
“You were in love with me before, Minako!” Seiya said suddenly. He continued as he put his hands on her shoulders.
“Once more, I think you are falling in love with me all over again.”
Seiya, if you only knew thought Minako, bitterly.
“No. No, I'm not.” Minako lied to defend herself.
“Fine. Have it your way. You'll marry me, right? This wedding will be for our child's sake.” Seiya told her.
“Yes. I will.”
“Good. Let's go up stairs. You need to eat and then sleep.” Seiya stated in honesty.
Soon as they entered Minako's apartment; Seiya told Minako to sit. He was going to make her dinner. He was already babying her thought Minako.
“Seiya?”
“Yes?”
“When will we be getting married?”
“I would think as possible so people won't think the reason we're getting married is because we're having a baby. Make our wedding as extravagant as you want, by the way.” Seiya said with a chuckle.
“Yes.” Was all Minako said.
 
It was the next day;
Minako started planning her wedding to Seiya. She knew Matoko would love to help with the flowers. Minako found the perfect flowers; orange and red roses.
In one store, Minako saw an arch-way. She fell in love with it. The arch-way had little hearts that were orange, red and blue. The arch-way, itself, was all whiter.
Next, Minako went to this Bridal shop. She had found a beautiful dress. It looked some what like Usagi's. However, their were already sparkles on her that shaped a heart on her chest to her torso.
Minako wasted no time, she tried on the dress in the fitting room. It fit just fine, it was like this dress was made just for her. Finally, Seiya met up with Minako to get their to get their marriage licence this day.
The day after; Minako and Seiya went to a wedding planner together. It was settled, they would be getting married in a rose garden within three days.
The wedding cake was a vanilla cake and the frosting was also vanilla.
On the way back from the wedding planner, Seiya drove Minako to their, now, home.
“Minako, I want you to know, I care for you…a lot.” Seiya confided in Minako.
“I…know, Seiya.” Minako said shyly.
Silence was heard after that in Seiya's car.
Before we had known it, the three days had passed.
Once more, everyone showed up. Matoko and Haruka we're the most surprised. Minako was setting down? No way! Even Minako's volley ball friend, Azeu-kun(like episode 103) was there with his new girl friend.
Minako was walking down the isle with her orange and red roses bouquet.
Seiya couldn't take his eyes off of Minako. It was like those two were the only ones there.
They approached the minister, and before anyone had known it, they were married right before they're friends.
Soon it was time to throw the bouquet of roses. Michiru, Setsuna and Masaka started fighting for it soon as Minako through it.
One thing was for sure Seiya and Minako had to kiss in front of everyone.
After Setsuna had won the bouquet, the white limo was seen. Everyone, then after, started throwing red rose petals at the bride and groom.
Seiya and Minako got into the limo, giving everyone a smile.
So many pictures were taken this day. Most with Seiya and Minako.
“Thank You, Seiya.” Minako said lightly.
“For what?” Asked Seiya.
“This wedding.” Minako said.
 
The days rolled into months. Seiya found out so many enchanting things about Minako. Minako loved Seiya and his company.
One night; Minako and Seiya were on the wooden floor of his house near their fire place, Minako stomach got bigger; after all she was five-months with child.
Seiya grabbed her hand lightly.
“Do you know, I read something very interesting about the Ancient Greeks.” Seiya said casually.
“Oh really and what's that?” Minako asked.
“Well. Do you know why wedding rings are worn on the fourth finger?” It because blood from the fourth finger is connected to the heart.”
“I wonder…” Minako muttered ,ore to herself then Seiya.
“Ancient Greeks say so at least. It's a symbol of everlasting love. And you being the `Goddess of Love and Beauty', would know that, right? Seiya asked, jokingly. Minako laughed, as well. Now-a-days, it wasn't a question if Seiya loved her or not, they were married and happy.
Besides, Minako thought, Seiya's truly mine; since I have his baby in me.
“Perhaps. Now, let's think of a name for you since I'm Aphrodite, um?” Minako stated jokingly.
“Oh. And then what?” Seiya asked.
“I get to call you it.” Replied Minako.
“Hercules?” Minako suggested.
“No way. How about…what I know…” Seiya said.
“What?” Minako replied.
“Adonis.”
“Aphrodite's betrothed?”
“Yes. Why not?”
“Seiya; it suits you, alright. After all, I am the Goddess of Love and Beauty.. And you are my betrothed.” Minako said with a heated smile.
Seiya rolled over and was on top of Minako, he had made he didn't hurt her stomach or they're baby. He leaned down and kissed Minako, it was a very soft kiss that was just….romantic in Minako's eyes.
“Seiya?”
“Hum?”
“Are…are you still in love with Usagi-chan?” Minako asked.
“No.” Replied Seiya.
“Oh?” Minako questioned Seiya lightly as she arched her eye brow up a bit.
“Listen Minako…there's…” Seiya forgot what he was saying as he looked into Minako's face and all he saw was pain. Seiya rolled off of Minako, as Minako grabbed her stomach.
“Minako? Minako, what's wrong?” Seiya asked.
Minako could hear it in Seiya's voice, he was worried about her.
“Seiya, call 911!” Was all Minako said.
It was about two hours later; Minako was in a hospital bed. Seiya was resting in a chair, next to Minako.
“Seiya?” Seiya opened his eyes.
“Minako, your okay. The doctor said you had a cramp in your stomach.”
“Oh…I'm sorry.”
“For what?”
“That I made you worry.”
“It's okay. Just try not to do that to much in the future, okay?” Seiya asked with his gorgeous smile as he joked with Minako.
Minako nodded her head.
“Minako, there is something I need to tell you. I love you.” Seiya said.
“What?” Minako said in disbelief , as her eyes widen.
“I love you, Mrs. Minako Seiya Kou.” As Seiya said this, he took held of Minako's hand.
Minako smiled.
“Good. Because I'm in love with you.” Minako said to Seiya.
Seiya stood up and held Minako close to himself.
“This baby your carrying was conceived in love, Minako” Seiya said with a smile.
“I know. So what should we name him or her?” Minako asked.
“Well, I like the name Elissa Hina. That's if it's a girl. If it's a boy, Takashi Jun.” Seiya said very proudly.
“Those names are perfect, Mr. Kou.” Minako said.
“Good. Mrs. Kou.”
“Now that everything is out in the open, why did you let me go all out on our wedding?” Minako asked.
“Well, two reasons. The first is all girls look forward to they're wedding. You and I only promised to get married once. You once told the girls that. Two, you were marrying a big music star. I had to save my pride…” Seiya said seriously.
“You were so right!” Minako said.
“You know, when you answered the door only two days before Usagi and Mamoru's wedding, I was shocked. In over three years, you had changed a lot. And when we did the duet, I was at a loss. It has only been maybe fifth-teen minutes, and I was falling for you. Hard. And when you told me you were pregnant, I was grateful. I was so happy. The more time I spent with you, the more I was falling in love with you.” Seiya said as his eyes locked onto Minako's eyes.
“Good. Because I was in love with you afew years back. And then, I was falling in love with you all over again.” Minako replied.
 
It was four months later; Elissa Hina Kou greeted this world on a light summer day.
Finally, Minako and Seiya both got lucky in love.
Those two knocks on the doors have been the best thing to have ever have happened to both; Seiya and Minako.
I believe the quote from one of Shakespeare's plays couldn't have been more true. “The Course To True Love Never Did Run Smooth.”
