Chapter 3
Magna rushed through the castle, nervously trying to find Nahargul. She knew it was a hopeless search, for he hardly stood in the same place for over a minute, but she decided to search anyway. It was the least she could do to please her brother.
She shuddered. Just thinking about him made her fear what he had become. He wasn't just frightening and power hungry. He was the living embodiment of fear itself.was nothing she could do to stop his rampages, his actions that caused all his minions to fear him. She was powerless against the fear and hatred that Dymier consumed and fed on.
However, she knew who could stand up to his power and destroy him once and for all. It all lay on Fox's shoulders. Magna had always chided and belittled Fox, serving her brother like a loyal servant. But in secret, she always hoped that Fox would find the power inside herself to free the world of Dymier's wrath, and supported her with all her heart. She actually had one, compared to her unfeeling brother, and she chose to set her faith in what would cause Dymier's downfall.
She smiled. I knew Fox can do it, she thought. Sighing heavily, she grimaced in pain from the energy spear in her right lung. A gift from her brother, it had been inside of her for a while now; for accidentally spilling a little bit of his wine on the floor last month. It was always like that with her brother; she would make him mad, then he would give her some sort of disfiguring or harmful injury. For him, it was fun to make her run from him and having to hunt her down like a pack of dogs on a rabbit. When he caught her, he made sure that what he did to her happened slowly, in the most agonizing way. It was his pleasure to see her pain, and this made her sick inside. It was one of the reasons that she hated her brother, and viewed Fox as a savior.
It was ironic, thought Magna, that the very thing that Dymier loved was the very thing that would have any hope of destroying him. She had the power, and that drove Dymier insane. She had the ultimate power, and he wanted it. The sheer thought of it was astounding. She had the power to create galaxies, destroy entire planets, and consume the heart and soul of stars. She could control life and death itself. And erase the memories and thoughts of all living creatures alive. Dymier had tasted this power when he had seized the princess's celestial locket, and tasted the power contained in it. He used the power to erase all memories of Fox. Past and present. Knowing that his plans would shatter if anyone remembered her, he wielded the power, used it, but afterwards, to his great surprise, the locket became dormant. It seemed that the person who the locket was created for would only use its powers.
But the power used was enough. Fox became a shadow to the former glory surrounding her birth. No one remembered her existence, and she was forgotten. However, many had seen Dymier leave with the child in tow and that began a whole string of myths and rumors. Some, however, recovered their memories of her, but Dymier saw to dealing with them. Most of them were down in Dymier's dungeon, half crazed and starving. A few had the pleasure of dying before he had gotten to them. A couple were down in Dymier's torture chambers, ready to have their heads twisted so hard that they pop off with a sickening sound of bones snapping (This was the kind of sick torment that Dymier was capable of.) But, some of the unlucky few had permanently gone insane, and lost all hope of being rescued. When their despair was infinite, and their minds completely crazed, Dymier stripped them of their souls, consumed them with relish, and turned their empty shells into his loyal, monster minions.
It was monstrous what he did, and Magna hated it. She didn't show her disdain, but she sure did feel it. She would rather be put to work as Neo-Queen Serenity's chambermaid than to serve as Dymier's sister and servant. If she had the chance, Magna would have run long ago, but in fear for her life, she stayed.
Letting her thoughts drift away, she focused on the present. She had to find Nahargul, her brother's dark shaman, before her brother lost his patience.
"Nahargul, you buckethead, Dymier's waiting for you!!! He'll roast your head over a spit if you keep him waiting!" She threatened.
Suddenly, a white haired man with white eyes and black robes stepped out of the shadows. "Ah, dear Magna, I know perfectly well that my Lord is waiting. I perceived that ten minutes ago. I was busy preparing the Time Distortion for our trip to the past." He smiled, "No doubt that my Lord is anxious to put an end to Princess Serenity II, and her daughter, Serenity III. Anxious to rule the moon in its entirety. I will come with you now, and escort my Lord to his window of the past."
As he spoke, he began to float past Magna, like a fairy tale creature. Nahargul almost never walked, and floating made up to his almost elfin stature.
"I will approach his Greatness right now Magna. Thank you for the short conversation." He said, and started for the throne room. *~* *~* *~* *~* *~* *~* *~* *~* *~* *~* *~*
In her prison of a bedroom, Fox crouched on the floor, listening to the conversation between Nahargul and Magna through the floor vent. She heard every word of their talk, and the information shared between the two worried her severely. If Dymier's plan succeeded, then that means that Princess Serenity II, the current Neo-Queen Serenity, would never exist! That means that Dymier would have full rulership of the entire Moon Kingdom, and trap her here in this darkened palace forever!
Oh no! she thought, I couldn't let this happen! NO WAY! What ever Dymier is planning, I must try to put a stop to it! It would be not problem to sneak past Nahargul; for some reason, he can't tell the future if it involves me. But, what can I do?
She withdrew from the vent and leaned her head against the wall. Wow, going into the past, she mused, that might actually be fun. I must do something to prevent Dymier from attacking Princess Serenity. The whole fate of Crystal Tokyo hangs in the balance!
And what about Princess Serenity III? Small Lady? If he gets to her, then MY time's future hangs in the balance as well! But how do I protect them both? I'm only one woman, and a powerless one at that. How do I do it?
Suddenly, a thought popped into her head. Of course! The famed Sailor scouts! They must help me out! I'm sure Sailor Moon. Or Mars, or Mercury would help! Yes, that's perfect! But, how do I get to them? How do I warn them of what's to come? Oh, boy, she realized just as suddenly what she had to do. Oh, boy she thought, this is going to drive Dymier up a wall! She smiled at the thought. If it's going to make Dymier blow his top, I'm all for it! But my time has to be perfect, and I have to get out of this stupid prison cell too
