Chapter 3:

Time seemed to freeze for Usagi. Here she was, in the middle of the Crown Arcade, face to face with her nemesis. Sure, he would only be here foe for a short time. But while he was, she could not find an end to the revenge ideas that kept running through her head.

She looked at his blue eyes; currently sparkling with amusement, and wanted to smack him. Hard. So hard that he would find himself back in the Silver Millennium.

Silver Millennium. Hmmm…

She could do some very interesting things to him there. People had worshipped the ground she walked on back then. Surely they wouldn't mind if she tortured the mega creep?

Hmmm…. She'd really have to think about it.

Meanwhile…

He was still looking at her. Usagi was glad time had apparently frozen because it gave her plenty of time to think about what she wanted to do next. She could smack him. That was VERY appealing, but then he would know how mad she was and her prank wouldn't hit him as hard.

She could be nice to him. Be nice to the creep that had changed her hair. Her beloved hair that was actually envied by the hair goddess Setsuna. Be nice?? Ah…no.

Well, the only other alternative was to be cordial while glaring at him. Hmmm….Polite with just a hint of death. Yes, that worked. She could do that.

Usagi focused and took a deep breath. She would have to be centered to get time back to normal. It took a lot of work, especially since Setsuna seemed to have taken a vacation after she realized that she was once again the supreme goddess of hair. Usagi inhaled, exhaled, thought semi-happy thoughts, and the next thing she knew Minako was greeting Mamoru and she was glaring at him.

It was amusing to watch the effects of her glare on other people. Usually they cringed in fear, ran away, or fainted from fright; which, she had discovered, was actually very amusing.

She loved her glare. It was known for making even Beryl cringe in absolute terror, and you had to have respect for that, since that she-vampire could make men die on the spot from the sound of her laugh alone. And, of course, if Usagi could scare Beryl then she had to patent her glare. Her glare was so effective that if someone tried it on her she didn't know what would happen. So she had patented it, and named her lovely glare the glare o' death. Not very original, but very easy to remember. Especially with that little word known as death.

Usagi snickered to herself as she watched the people behind the creep. They were doing the most amusing things. However, when her gaze landed on Mamo-baka her amusement ended. Why?

Oh, just because of the little fact that he wasn't being affected. At all. Not even a little bit. Not by her famous patented glare o' death.

Usagi growled slightly to herself as she glared even harder at the jerk. Not fair. He should be cringing in absolute terror at this point. But he wasn't. Instead, he was standing in a way that she knew was meant to piss her off. The jerk.

"Usa?" She gave a tiny nod, letting the other person know that was listening. Usagi wasn't going to look away, not for a second, because if she did the glare o' death would lose all of its awesome power.

"Are we gonna get some ice cream?"

Now that threw Usagi off. They were here to get some ice cream? When did that happen??

Oh. Right. It had been really hot outside, and she'd stupidly decided that she could handle facing the biggest creep of all time; after Diamond of course.

How wrong she had been. Usagi really wanted to find a wall she could smack herself up against, because that was the only way she could over the fact that she had made an incredibly stupid decision. Again.

Oh well. She guessed that pulling the ultimate prank on Mamoru would make up for it. Doing stuff like that always seemed to make her feel better. Not like that insufferable jerk who always seemed to like making her life absolute hell. Speaking of insufferable, shouldn't Mamoru have done something by now to make her want to kill him?

Hmmm….Maybe he was taking the next five minutes off.

"Ice cream, Usagi?"

Ah, spoke too soon.

Usagi mentally screamed and watched as one eyebrow lifted in a gesture of supreme arrogance. She braced herself. He was going to say something that would send her on a rampage. She knew it. All she had to do was stay calm. Just stay calm.

"Are you sure you want to do that? Don't you have a diet to adhere to? You aren't as thin as you used to be you know."

Usagi's jaw dropped. How dare he! That arrogant, sexist, jerk! Ooh…Just wait until she got her hands on him. She would have tried to stay calm, but it didn't really help that he was laughing at her. She growled and threw out any and all ideas of staying calm and sane as she tensed for an attack.

Usagi ignored Minako's pleading, Motoki's attempts to hold her back, and launched herself at the man. She could already feel her hand hitting his cheek.

She was stopped, unfortunately, by a very strong arm that wrapped around her waist mid-attack. Usagi yelped in surprise as she was pulled away from her target and backwards through the air. The next thing she knew she was lying on the floor with the face of that creep far above her, filled with surprise, and surprisingly, shock.

What would he be shocked about? The fact that she had actually missed? Usagi pondered that until she realized that she hurt. A lot.

Usagi groaned. Owww. Pain. She tried to move, but with her whole body feeling like her ears did after a heavy metal concert, she decided to lay still. It would be best after all.

Didn't almost everybody say that it was best to not move an injured person? She could see the wisdom in that. So, she followed the general rule, and distracted herself from the pain by enjoying the feel of the soft, cushy floor.

Wait. Were floors supposed to be cushy?

Oh, well. It wasn't her problem if they were supposed to be cushy or not. It was Motoki's responsibility to worry about the fact that his floor was messed up.

"Umm, Usagi?"

Someone was calling her. She ignored it. Her pain came first, so she knew she didn't have to deal with someone else's petty problems right now. Plus, it was a figment of her imagination, because she knew that voice, and she was sure that the owner of that voice had long since left Earth with no apparent intention of ever coming back.

"Usagi?"

Usagi closed her eyes, ignored the concerned and shocked looks of Mamoru, Minako, and Motoki above her, and reminded herself that it was her imagination. He was not back, and she was most definitely hallucinating. She continued to tell herself that even as the voice continued to call her name in a pleading, painful sort of way.

"Usa-chan?" This time the voice uttered her name kind of squeakily, as if the breath were being driven out of its lungs.

She was imagining it. She was dreaming. She was suffering from a concussion.

The voice continued to call her name, and soon, strangely enough, began to ask if she would get off of it. How could she get off of a voice? That was it. She was suffering from insanity. That had to be it. Because this voice existed only in her imagination at the moment, and voices that existed in the imagination didn't have bodies, and most certainly couldn't be under her.

And as she shook her head and repeated to herself that she was in dire pain and dreaming things, the voice muttered an apology and stated something that sounded like "I guess I'll have to push you off then." And the next thing Usagi knew something under pushed up hard against her back, and she found herself being unceremoniously introduced to the real floor. It was hard, it was wooden, and it most definitely hurt.

"Well, Usa, seems you've gotten heavier since I left, which I really didn't think was possible."

The voice uttered it in a joking tone, but Usagi, not caring, saw red and attacked. She jumped up, somehow flew through the air to her target; who had also stood up, and began strangling him. It wasn't until Mamo-creep, Minako, and Motoki had pulled her off that she even tried to calm down. Usagi looked down at the floor and breathed very slowly.

"Sorry, Usa, it was just a joke" the voice stated sheepishly.

Usa looked up, still believing that she was hallucinating, and her eyes widened in shock. HE was here. He was back. And, she noted, he'd brought the others with him. Usagi watched as he scratched his head slightly as if he was embarrassed, and even when the others released her to stand on her own she could only stare in shock at what she considered to be one of her best friends.

Seiya.

He was back.

Usagi processed this, and then she grinned in a very evil sort of way. A way that made Seiya and the other Starlights take a few steps back. He was back, and it looked like she had a new partner in crime.

Her grin widened.

Mamoru was going down.
