A Whole New World
Usagi opened her eyes and took in a view of the starry evening sky through a glassy ceiling. Light was slowly disappearing beneath the horizon, revealing a bed of stars that were beautiful but strange to her. Her eyes searched for the familiar sight of the moon sitting quietly in the dusk, alarmed to see that the moon she remembered was nowhere to be found, having been replaced by twin celestial bodies.
She sat up quickly and regained her bearings and then the memories bombarded her. Visions of the spectacular fight near the ruins of the palace preceding the onslaught of daemons that almost stood victorious over her and her Sailor Senshi. Finally, the vision of a dark palace upon the surface of the moon centered itself in her mind's eye like a sore, the structure blemishing the serene surface of the moon.
She looked around as the memories relinquished their hold on her attention and saw her rival with the silver mane quietly asleep in a chair near the bed she woke up in. Noticing herself completely bare of clothing, she remained silent as she continued to take in her new surroundings. She padded silently in bare feet out of the room and noted that the exterior of the home she was in was composed of glass like the ceiling she has noticed originally.
"Hiro…", she said suddenly as she realized that her friends were nowhere to be seen. Her breathing slowed a bit as she saw that the building was in the middle of tiny cluster of what looked to be homes. A communal yard area yielded a view of Krista sitting silently in front of a bonfire, her hands seeming to work independently of conscious thought as she cleaned and sharpened her golden blade.
"Welcome to Altaris Prime…", came a voice from behind her.
She turned to see her rival had reverted her transformation and was clad in a simple dress, similarly silver to her hair. She seemed smaller somehow, walking with her staff close to her side.
"I am pleased to see that you have recovered so quickly, Princess Serenity. The stories and legends passed down through our society regarding your lineage must surely be true.", she said, holding her hand out slowly. "I am Rianna, leader of the peoples that make up the Altaris Empire. I am also Sailor Altima, the leader of the Sailor Senshi who defend those people."
Usagi looked at her for a moment before returning the gesture of good faith. "It would seem that you are familiar with me. I am Chiba Usagi, also known as Serenity, Princess of the Earth and its Moon. I am the daughter of Earth's most fearsome defender, Sailor Moon, and I can only hope that my heart shines for my people half as bright as our fallen Queen Serenity."
Rianna remained silent for a few moments, her eyes studying Usagi closely before turning to Krista, who continued to endlessly shine her blade. "I brought you and your friends here so that we can help prepare you for the battle that is yet to come. It is a fight that claimed your mother and her faithful guardians."
Usagi nodded as Rianna continued to speak. "You may wonder why we brought you here…", she mused, continuing on as she answered her own question. "I believe that we are witnessing the final events of a prophecy set into motion many millennia ago by our ancestors…", she said, her eyes widening as Usagi interrupted her.
"The Revolution Prophecy…", Usagi said quietly.
Rianna stared at her for a moment. "You know of the Revolution Prophecy?", she asked incredulously.
"I know nothing of it, really…", Usagi countered hesitantly. "Just a lucky guess, I think…", she finished, falling into silence.
"Perhaps…", Rianna replied, continuing on. "In any event, the prophecy has been blurred by the passing of time and the creative imaginations of those entrusted with its secrets. Simply defined, however, it predicts a cataclysmic event in the course of history that will cause the parallel destinies of the Harmony and that of Chaos to converge, ending in a final battle that will determine the dominant force in our lives. It is known that during the first weeks of the Sailor Wars, one of your ancestors that held the title of Serenity was approached by a girl who gave her the Prophecy.
No one knows what became of the young girl or even who she was, for that matter. No one knows why, but the Prophecy was never recorded to be passed down through the centuries unlike thousands of predictions made before and after it. But fortunately for us, the first emperor of our people created a team to study the Prophecy shortly after our empire was formed to combat the force of Chaos."
Rianna paused to study Usagi once more, the pink-haired girl's face lost in thought. "Please continue…", Usagi said quietly.
Rianna nodded. "We believe that the day that your Earth fell to the forces of Evil signaled the beginning of a course of events that will fulfill the Revolution Prophecy. Unfortunately, the remainder of the Prophecy has been lost, and the preceding events have been likened to descriptive adjectives that shed little light as to the true meaning of the message."
Usagi looked toward Krista as her mind slowly began to process the multitude of information bombarding it. "That is all that you have?", she asked quietly.
Rianna nodded slowly in affirmation. "What we have of the original words paints a picture that is only as accurate as the mind which perceives it. Our empire has celebrated the day in which your mother defeated the Golden Queen since the day she was victorious because we believed that your mother's victory heralded the fulfillment of the Revolution Prophecy. Unfortunately, the Enemy has come back to fight once more, which can mean only one of two things.
First, the Revolution Prophecy has been fulfilled and Evil walked away victorious, or, it hasn't seen fruition yet.", Rianna finished, taking in a deep breath. "The latter is the only acceptable option for me. It's what I and the Senshi of this Empire fight for."
Usagi stood quietly beside Rianna, looking up at the starry sky. Her mind struggled with all of the information she had just heard, still trying to make sense of it all. Breaking her silence, she asked, "How long have I been out? What time is it?"
Rianna smiled a bit. "Things are a bit different here on Prime, Serenity… This part of the planet only faces our sun partially.", she said, pointing off at the horizon at the spectacular sunset. "The sun is forever in that position, so we judge the passing of time by our two moons. Thelon is the reddish one, Thalam its sister. While Thelon passes over the sky, that is the time in which we work. It revolves around Prime in a faster orbit, so while Thalam is visible, that is the time we are awake."
"Come, Serenity. I will show you of all the wonders this world has to offer you, and then we'll talk of how we will restore the wonders of your own world."

Alyssa woke with a start. Before she opened her eyes, her arms were searching for Jamin, and she sighed with relief when she felt his soothing presence beside her. She turned her body toward him and slipped her arm around his middle. Feeling herself in a comfortable bed beside Jamin, her mind told her that she was dreaming and she smiled.
"My love…", she whispered quietly, squeezing Jamin softly with her arm. When he didn't respond, she giggled. "Even in my dreams, you have no romance in you. But that's okay. I'll love you forever."
Jamin stirred as her hands began to roam over his body. "Mmmm…Nnnalyssa??", he mumbled as she rose him from his own dream. "Wha…?", he began to ask before she climbed over him and silenced him with her lips. Jamin's slowly wakening mind was jerked rudely to utter consciousness as her lips caressed his own. His eyes flew open and saw her perched over him, naked as the day she was born.
His eyes grew wide as she lifted herself up, straddling his belly with her entire body on display, groaning as he felt his own body react. She looked behind her and licked her lips when she saw his predicament. She took him in one hand and idly stroked him. "Good morning, my darling.", she whispered as he lay beneath her, totally defenseless.
"Alie…", he managed to get out, feeling his mind begin to cloud over with emotion and sensation.
"Mighty warrior… does it truly take so little to bring you to your knees?", she asked teasingly. Her hand squeezed him tightly and he groaned, pulling away in only token resistance. She smiled and laid down on her side next to him and kept her slow motions constant, both of them watching in rapt interest.
His moans became louder, and she smiled as his hips began to move in rhythm with her ministrations. She looked up into his eyes and licked her lips as he pushed her down onto her back. Her breathing sped up quickly as he knelt between her legs and with one swift motion, he was inside her.
He rested his body carefully down on her and laid his head near the crook of her neck. She sighed quietly in pleasure and cradled his head as he rocked back and forth, slipping in and out of her in a steady rhythm. Their bodies melded together perfectly as they made love, completely unaware of the different environment around them.
Very unaware of the individuals watching them…

Krista had finished polishing her blade a while back and had taken a few minutes to walk around, trying to regain her bearings in the new world surrounding her. She had been awake since the epic battle, unable to sleep yet in this strange environment. The gravity was heavier, and she could feel it pulling on her tired muscles. She had tried to sleep without success, so she had passed the time walking around the small encampment she had been brought to.
Loneliness settled over her slowly and she laughed bitterly to herself. "First time away from a devastated home, and I'd give anything to see the destroyed landscape around me.", she said under her breath.
"You will see it again soon enough.", a voice sounded out from behind her.
Krista whirled around to see her unexpected company. "Polaris.", she said curtly in greeting.
"I see you are well enough to walk on your own.", he said, just as shortly.
"I'm a warrior. It takes more than a few pitiful scratches to keep me down.", she spat back.
"I am not here to argue with you, Venus. My business here is… social. As it were, at least.", he replied.
"You won't be the last to learn that I don't get along with other people. I have other things on my mind right now, too. You know, like a world filled with people who depend on me that I can't GET TO RIGHT NOW.", she carried on, finishing loudly. Krista stared up at Polaris angrily.
He merely shrugged. "You are of no use to your people right now. Even as experienced as you may be, the rest of your team is not. Extra time spent in the shackles of the Enemy is preferable to an eternity of enslavement because the only heroes capable of freeing them rushed to their deaths."
She slapped him hard. "How dare you? You underestimated me back then, but I got half an inch away from slicing your throat clean open, you bastard.", she spouted, her anger radiating from her in nearly visible waves.
Polaris rubbed his cheek thoughtfully. "Yes you did, Sailor Venus. Yes you did…", he replied slowly. "Perhaps then you will just regard our bringing you here as professional courtesy. Neither my team nor I are your enemy. Both our sides could be very productive if there were no sides. Just all of us, working together for the sake of both our worlds."
"Both of our worlds, my ASS!", she screamed. "I don't see this beautiful landscape marred and littered with the debris of families torn apart and happy homes obliterated! I watched my mother DIE, you bastard! I watched her fall to the ground she fought to protect and cried as I watched her Venus outfit disappear and her transformation wand appear in my hand.", she said, pausing to spit on the ground in front of him. "And the sad thing is that her death was rather undramatic compared to other murders that I have seen since. You have no right to lecture me about teamwork. I have fought alone since the beginning and I'll continue to fight. Alone.", she finished, turning to walk away.
Polaris watched her walk away for a few moments before going to join her. "My name is Andarri.", he said simply.
Krista turned back, her mouth hanging open a bit. "Did you not hear me when I said I wanted to be alone?"
Andarri shrugged. "You only stated that you would fight alone. Not that you wanted to be left alone. I figured that you would want to talk about something pleasant after your tirade."
Krista's mouth fell open even more. "My tirade? Well, I'm sorry that I bothered you with my little RANT about the current state of my home."
"I was not bothered in the least.", Andarri said, trying to smile. "By the way, could I get your name?"
"…Krista.", she said simply. "You can't be for real. You have no idea that I'm completely mad at you. Don't you know I have a blade behind my back? You saw it when I was walking away."
"Why would you use it, Krista?", he asked. "I am not attacking you. We could have a friendship, you and I. We have fought together in battle more than once. I know that you have no friends. You could have a friend in me."
Krista looked at him for a moment. "Whatever.", she said simply, walking away towards the bubble where Alyssa and Jamin were. Andarri followed closely behind, knowing enough to keep his mouth shut. When Krista stopped suddenly, staring into the enclosure, he looked over her shoulder at what she was staring at.
Alyssa and Jamin were in the bed together, caught in their lovemaking but completely oblivious to that fact. Andarri flinched as Krista's knuckles popped when she clenched her hands into fists. "I can't believe that they have the nerve to FUCK right now. Don't they understand what's going on? Our home is in danger and they're having sex?"
Andarri carefully rested a hand on her shoulder. "Sometimes, it is necessary to let go of the reality we live in. No one of us can be a warrior all of the time. We need peace of our own, even in the midst of endless battle. It is what separates a hero from everyone else."
Krista turned to face him. "And your peace?"
"Merely the movement of the stars. The power that drives me is the same power that soothes me. It is the same for you, I think."
Krista turned back towards Jamin and Alyssa, who lay motionless in the bed next to each other. "Their peace lies within each other.", Andarri said. "Surely you know this as a warrior of Love?"
Krista began to walk away slowly. "The Senshi of Love died four years ago.", she said softly.
Andarri watched her walk away and then turned towards the enclosure where Jamin and Alyssa slept. "If the heart of love is dead, then there is no prayer for any of us.", he said quietly to himself.

Hiro awoke slowly and opened his eyes to see Usagi sitting next to the bed he was resting in. "Usa?", he asked.
She opened her eyes and smiled at him. "Nice to see you up and around. You sure took your time indulging in your dreams. Whose pretty face were you admiring during the night?"
Hiro blushed slightly, remembering the dream he'd had of Usagi herself. Desperately looking for a way to change the subject, he finally noticed the change in scenery and asked, "Usa, where are we?"
"Altaris Prime, Hiro. It is the home planet of the warriors that we fought with.", she answered.
"We've traveled through space? How?", he returned.
Usagi just shrugged lightly. "Sailor Teleport… I saw my mother use it once. I didn't know that they could go this far with it, though. We're completely outside of the Milky Way."
Hiro nodded. "I see. Are we returning soon?"
Another voice interrupted their conversation, saying, "I am afraid not, Sailor Mars. My warriors and I wish to keep you here for an indefinite period of time so that we can train you to use your abilities to their maximum."
Hiro turned towards the voice to see Rianna sitting on the other side of the bed he had slept in, her mysterious staff ever-present by her side. "That's not possible. We have a duty to our people. We can't leave them to suffer under the wrath of the Enemy."
Rianna stood up and looked out towards the sky. "If you go back now, you will die. The Dark Queen has finished letting her warriors play with you. We were very lucky to escape with our lives."
Hiro tried to get out of the bed, wincing. "So we will protect our own lives while she kills innocent people in our place?"
Rianna looked back at him. "Yes. You may think that I am heartless, but one thousand lives spent while you master your powers compares not to countless millions that will be spent because Earth's Senshi died foolishly for nothing."
Hiro fell silent as she continued. "It is time to wake up and realize what your world has become. The Dark Lady does not want to kill Earth's inhabitants. She wants them very much alive. Why? Because she wants to be worshiped because she believes she is a goddess. She will kill in the beginning for a generation or two, long enough for the frightened masses to forget the world that once was and accept hers."
Rianna turned back toward the glass wall. "So we train here. We will train hard. For years on end, we will selflessly train, honing our powers until I feel that we can go back and win back your world."
Hiro gasped. "Years?"
Rianna nodded. "Yes. If the Revolution Prophecy has truly come to bear, the challenge we face will be unlike anything ANY Sailor Warrior has seen. Ever. I refuse to walk into the shadow of Death's doorstep without having become the best warrior I can be. You should feel the same. If you are truly the warriors foretold in the Prophecy, the unwritten future of the universe hangs upon the outcome of your fight."
Usagi chimed in. "And if we are not? What if this Prophecy hasn't begun yet?"
Rianna shrugged. "Then you will be more than ready to battle an adversary for the liberation of your planet. But you and I both know differently, don't we? Haven't you already identified yourself as a Revolution Senshi?"
Usagi swallowed hard before replying with, "But I had no idea what this Prophecy was before you explained it to me."
"That is all the more evidence of it having come to life, Sailor Moon.", Rianna replied. "Anyhow, you two should rest. When the new day comes, we will gather our teams together and our daunting task shall begin. Sleep well, Sailor Senshi." Rianna turned and walked out of the room.
Usagi looked around and noticed that it had grown dark. "Well, I guess it's time to go back to sleep."
Hiro sighed softly. "I suppose so, Usa. Which of these houses is yours? As it were, anyways."
Usagi smiled and walked around to the other side of the bed. "You've been recuperating here in my bed where I could take care of you.", she said, smiling down at him. She walked into another part of the small shelter and looked through some things hanging from a rack. "Seems they have provided all of us with a wardrobe to wear while we are here.", she called out, pulling a white garment out and carrying it back into the bedroom.
Hiro gawked at her quite openly, eliciting a small laugh from her. "Now shut your eyes so a girl can change.", she said with a smile, turning around. He shut his eyes, leaving a little slit of vision. She turned to make sure he wasn't looking and began to undress. Hiro's eyes flew open as little by little, she became fully bare of clothing. He sucked in a breath of air, and Usagi paused.
"He's watching me…", she thought to herself. Her initial urge to turn around and scold him faded quickly as her own mind began to buzz pleasantly with the thought of him looking at her. She slowly slipped the thin, white material over her form. "You can open your eyes now.", she said lightly, pausing before sitting down on the bed. She released her hair from its odangos, sighing as it cascaded down her back. "What do you think, Hiro? Can I be beautiful in clothing from another world?", she inquired with a smile.
Hiro muttered something before turning onto his side, trying desperately to hide his true answer to her question. "You are beautiful with every passing moment, Princess.", he thought silently. "Your beauty tortures me endlessly, and my heart will always belong to you, even when you give yourself to someone else."
Usagi looked at him as she slipped her legs underneath the sheet and laid on her side facing him. "What are you thinking about, Hiro?", she sounded in her own mind. "You would stare at me while I was naked, but you turn away from me now?"
She trembled for a slight moment before moving closer to him and slipping her arm around him, her hand resting against his chest. She felt him tense up immediately and moved her arm away. "Do you mind?", she asked quietly. "I'm… cold."
Hiro fought to relax himself and keep his breathing normal as he replied. "Of course not, Usa. I am here for you."
"Okay…", Usagi replied. She pulled his shoulder down until he was resting on his back and then pulled up on his other shoulder until he was facing her. She then turned away from him and snuggled back against him, taking his arm and holding it around her.
"Goodnight, Hiro…", she said, her voice drowsy.
"Sleep sweetly, Usa.", he replied, trying to keep his voice from revealing his pounding heartbeat. "You are truly a Princess, Serenity. I will always be here for you.", he finished in his mind.

Author's Note
Greetings, my few and faithful readers! In finishing the tradition, the end of Act II and the beginning of Act III introduced five new characters.
Rianna
Senshi: Sailor Altima
Abilities:
Judgement Blast - Similar to Sailor Moon's Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss, it is used to finish off opponents. A swift ball of energy that explodes upon contact, damaging enemies within the blast radius.
Elemental Control - The Prism affixed to the tip of her crystalline staff commands the four elements of nature. Fire, water, water and earth bend to her demands.
Age: 25
Background: Rianna is the older daughter of the ruling family of the Altaris Empire, a planet in a neighboring galaxy to the Milky Way star system. As per Altarian tradition, the oldest daughter of the ruling family is given the Chaos Breaker, an ancient weapon that contains the essence of Altima, a Senshi that died defending Altaris Prime during the Sailor Wars. With the staff, she becomes Sailor Altima, the leader of the Star Senshi of Altaris.
Defying her father, she took the Star Senshi to Earth to fight in place of Neo-Queen Serenity and her Sailor Guardians and now finds herself caught in the rapidly unfolding Revolution Prophecy, a claim long since forgotten on her world. Believing that Usagi and her new Senshi are to be the warriors foretold in the Prophecy, she has committed herself to fighting beside them to the end.
Marina
Senshi: Sailor Starlight
Abilities:
Falling Stars - Summoning cosmic energy, Sailor Starlight rains power down on her foes. Star-shaped energies fall from the sky around the target.
Northern Cross - Forming power into the shape of throwing projectiles, Sailor Starlight takes matters into her own hands. Cross-shaped weapons form to be used as melee or ranged weapons.
Age: 21
Background: Marina is the younger daughter of the Empire's ruling family, and Rianna's sister. She had only used her powers in training before leaving to fight for Earth's liberation and still has much to learn about the art of war. Young and carefree, she intentionally tries to keep the mood light around herself and those around her. Chosen by the planet, she is the Sailor Senshi native to her world, Sailor Starlight.
Since arriving on the Earth, she has taken on more of a quiet tone, usually speaking only when really needing to. She watches her comrades in battle, following their lead to ensure she doesn't make mistakes.
