"Serena. Hey Serena. C'mon. Wake up. Th...this isn't funny." Gohan
said, shaking the girl's form. She didn't respond. Gohan realized she
was dead.
"No...Serena..." He whispered.
I close my eyes,
And I can see,
The day we met,
Just one moment and I knew,
You're my best friend,
Do anything
For you
He blinked, tears pouring out of his eyes. The last time he cried, was
when his father died. Was is so long ago Serena had arrived at his
home, begging for help? Filthy, tired, hungry, weak. The poor girl was
escaping from her past. He began to sob openly. He and his mother
opened their home to her. She had become a member of the family.
We've gone so far,
And done so much,
And I feel,
Like we've always been together,
Right by my side,
Through thick and thin,
You're the part of my life,
I'll always remember
She was an angel in disguise. The pain of losing Goku vanished in her
prescense. Gohan had helped her a lot. She was clumsey and childish,
but he couldn't help growing to like her. They fought crime togather.
The Great Saiya-Man, and Super Sailor Moon.
'I, Sailor Moon, will change by the light of the Moon to punish you!'
Was the quote she always called before attacking. Never again. Gohan
shook her again. It never hit him that this was it.
The time has come,
It's for the best I know it,
Who would've guessed that you and I...
Somehow, someday,
We'd have to say goodbye
"Serena? Hey, Serena, let's go. Get up." He begged. She looked like
she could have gotten up and gone to the arcade with Goten. Her face
was still so angelic. Her twin Odango's on her head had come undone,
letting her hair spill freely, framing her face. Goten peeked over his
shoulder. The little boy was crying uncontrollably.
"Is she...?" He asked. Gohan wouldn't answer. He gently lifted the
girl's body and floated up, flying off. He didn't know or care where
he was heading. He flew as fast as he could. He flew for hours. It
felt like forever.
You've helped me find,
The strength inside,
And the courage,
To make all my dreams come true,
How will I find
Another friend
Like you
Below him was a beautiful meadow. The skies were clear. There was a
small creek running through it. All kinds of small animals ran through
it. He landed there. His Ki energy was exhausted. It would take many
more hours before he could be detected by anyone.
'Perfect.' He thought. He gently laid Serena down. It was almost as if
he didn't want to wake her. She was 'sleeping' so peacefully.
"Serena, you've helped me in more ways than you'll ever know. You're
my best friend." He said. But she didn't respond. Gohan looked at his
hands. They had blood on them.
Two of a kind,
That's what we are
And it seemed
Like we were always winning,
But as our team,
Is torn apart,
I wish we could go
Back to the beginning
He made fists. Those Sailor Scouts had majorly hurt him. He lifted
Serena up once more and laid her back area into the water, washing the
blood away. The dark crimson red flowed down the crystal blue water.
The same color of her eyes.
"I'll never hear her complain about school work...or about how little
she gets to eat...or how much Vegeta rants about her fighting
attire..." He said. Gohan floated up out of the water with her once
more. He could still hear her voice.
'WHEE! This is fun! I can't fly without my Butterfly wings!' The voice
of an angel. He held her into a cradling position, holding her hand.
"Good bye...Serena..." He said, and kissed her. She faded away, leaing
nothing but sparkeling dust where she was. Gohan opened his eyes, and
began to sob loudly, falling to his knees.
