Too Many Odangos

¦Introduction¦

It wasn't as if she wanted it to happen. Emotions can be stronger than will. Her heart just couldn't forget. Oh but of course she loved him, she loved him too. The resemblances were striking. His eyes, his hair, his warmth…but the scent was different: roses opposing lilacs. She knew that her feelings were true. They would never lie to her. They were drifting apart anyway. He always had to be in school, his essays all had to be done, trips had to be made. She was lucky if she got to see him once in a day. Did they NOT have to worry about education? They were going to be king and queen of the Earth real soon. She would always try to argue. To tell him that she needed him. But then, he said had to go again. And this time, she wasn't going to cry about it.

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

Most times would be very difficult. She had no job, no strong points…she just wanted to be a bride. Mamoru said she would get that chance once he finished college. He never told her he was going to be in it for six years. Sure, he gave her an engagement ring…that…day…but, she always wondered if it was just to keep her tied down to him. "I love you…" he said. That was all she needed back then. Just those three words and he's hers forever. Ha! He never said anything more after that.

She walked on down through the town until she came to a flight of cement steps. Over them stood a sign with the ancient Japanese characters painted in black. Her little feet then started up the stairs. Her friend works as a full time Shinto priestess at the shrine. She knew her ever since they were young teenagers. Yet, they both are still teenagers. Usagi only turned nineteen the last month. Mamoru only showed up a bit of time. The next day he was due in the countryside assisting a doctor treating an outbreak. His present was a clear pendent. She guessed he never took time to look at it or primp it up for his giving to her. The price tag was still attached to the box. She kept it in its place and put it aside.

Her fingers diligently opened the giant door bordering her from the inside. It seemed so dark and eerie sharp chills ran up her spine, making her shiver. Her slippers and tiny dainty feet gave her help in sneaking in. From the back of the building, an orange glow seemed to shine on the walls. Maybe she was meditating with the fire. She crept in slowly as the glow got nearer and she could see the backside of a woman. That hair…it was as long as she could remember, the violet shine that lusted from the raven color. It almost reminded her of him.

"Usagi?"

The voice made her jump. But it was the voice of her friend. How'd she know she was behind her?

"Rei? Are you busy?"

The Shinto priestess turned around to where her eyes met Usagi's. Playfully was a way to describe her look.

"Not anymore…" she said before she stood up.

"Oh, I'm sorry. You may resume to your meditation if you want."

To answer her plea, Rei took her old friend in a warm hug. It felt to good to be around her again. She almost forgot what her warmness was like. How bright her shine was. But now, her shine didn't glimmer as bright. Something was wrong with her dear friend.

"Why don't you sit down, I'll go get us some tea."

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

"So, how're things with Mamoru and you?"

Usagi dreaded on the thought of answering the question. * How are we?? * She didn't know how Mamoru was. Tired? Stressed? Happy? Depressed? Well, she answered her feelings lastly.

"Um, I don't know."

"What do you mean, you don't know?"

She took a sip of her tea quietly as her eyes started a discharge.

"Rei, I don't know! I've never really seen him at all. He's on a trip right now and…I don't know when he'll be back!" Her body started to shake in rhythm with her sobs. The porcelain cup slipped from her hands and landed with a loud crash on the wooden temple floor. Small hands covered her face to hide her shamefulness as the raven woman cradled the hysterical woman. Oh God! She promised herself that she wouldn't cry!!

"Usagi…Usagi…shh. It's Ok…it's alright." She smoothed out Usagi's golden hair and rocked back and forth for her comfort.

"I just think he's tired of me. I've barely ever heard his voice. He never said he loved me in God-knows-how-long! I don't even think he loves me any…truth is I don't think I love him any. I don't know how he is Rei. I don't know."

She pulled her back to look at her tear-stained face. Her sympathetic lavender eyes stared back at the distraught cerulean eyes of her friend. "Usagi, I can feel how much pain has effected your heart. I feel that maybe there is love, but for someone else. Mamoru's avoidance of you has left you insecure. Don't be. I can see how easily he can get held up with his schooling. He loves what he's working for. He loves it so much. Unfortunately, maybe even more than he loves you." She wiped a free-rolling tear. "You can't take anymore of this, can you?"

The golden-haired goddess shook her head.

"Then I suggest you do something…"

Usagi sniffed and looked off to this side in thought. * What to do…what to do… * She was thinking of a lot of things. But first one that came was to run away. Where? * Who would want me? No one will take me in…Mamoru kept me locked up for so long, I barely remember anyone. * She did remember someone else though.

~ Odango, I will never forget you…~

She stood up looking brave and determined and started out of the holy establishment. The holy owner was baffled for once and went to follow.

"Where're you going??"

Sailor Moon turned toward Rei and her fierce face turned soft, her eyes yet holding an amount of eagerness and excitement. But her body showed the true form of a woman and heroine. Sophistication and beauty was one way to describe it.

"To someone who does care…"

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

The pain was killing him alive. He was almost to believe that he was a mummy. His senses were disappearing right before him. He seemed dry even if he was taking a shower. He couldn't think, felt like he was light-headed all the time. And his heart...he didn't even carry it on his own. Seiya felt more like an empty doll than anything else. For three long years, he had to drag himself to his duty. Mope to his bedroom. And slouch at the dinner table. His sighs were contagious to everyone and soon they just gave up on him. It wasn't that he was impossible...just that IT was impossible. His dreams on earth were his nightmares on Kinmokusei.

But yet, Kinmokusei was known for a persons' second chance. You would get a second chance for everything. But if that were only true for Seiya. Maybe if they met on Kinmokusei, everything would be different...but that's just a dream, or nightmare. If you were of royalty, or lived with royalty, it was tradition that you would get married. Usually, it was the age of sixteen. But since his brothers and him were out looking for Princess Kakyuu during that time, all three missed it. And you got your second chance at nineteen. Yaten, being born February 8th, got married first. Then Taiki, being born May 30th, was then to be wed. It was Seiya's turn real soon and he didn't feel like being a spouse to anyone. Well, maybe to one person. But it didn't look like it was going to happen. Impossible, that's what it is.

The fellow Lights both got married as men. Reason being because they couldn't work and be Sailor Soldiers if they're married as women. Meaning, they would have to resign from Kakyuu's protection. They all are so dear to her that she actually forced them to get married as men. That way, they could still stay with her. It looked like Seiya was going to have to get married a male too. He knew that he was her favorite. For a while, he actually took pride and used that up to his advantage. But after his trip back from the blue planet, he didn't exactly care anymore. Nothing else mattered in this universe...not until he got what he wanted. And in this case...impossible.

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~° ;~

"Usagi I can't believe you!"

"What?"

"You drag me half across the galaxy-...no, THE UNIVERSE for your stupidity!!!"

"Well sorry, you didn't have to come!"

"But I worry Usagi."

"Why's that?"

"Because you'd get lost."

"Good point."

At that, Rei was surprised that her blonde friend agreed with her on one thing. And it wasn't really even a compliment. But she really did worry. But not only about her, but Seiya too. What if he stopped loving her? Or even worse, what if he had killed himself because it was too much?

The two Earth Soldiers were already on the alien planet and it reminded them of times of the Renaissance. But more modern in a way. They had cars, streets, skyscrapers, castles, markets...it was so interesting and looked like a cozy little place. If it was be Rei's decision, she would actually try to make a home on this planet. But everything seemed so different in a way as well. Different language, different customs, different currency, different culture, even different hair color. Everyone stared at Usagi. Either they were mesmerized by its color or just thought it was plain weird. No one on this planet had golden hair. They were all varieties that would seem weird on earth. Silver, copper, blue, turquoise, pink, green, ebony...all BUT blonde. Usagi didn't seem to really care though, her thoughts were concentrated on Seiya.

"Rei...?"

"Yes?"

"Do you know where the palace is?"

"Usagi I thought you knew."

"Well, I did concentrate my power on his location, but it took me here."

"Maybe we are here, but in the town that it's in."

"I could try asking someone where it is."

The Soldier of Fire cocked an eyebrow at her close friend. "And how would you do that? Talk with clicks of your tongue?"

"Their language seems to be similar to ours in a way..."

"By how much?"

Usagi spread her arms out wide. After about a couple of seconds, she sighed and her arms relaxed and crashed into her sides. "You're right."

Rei sighed too and started to look around at the hustle and bustle of the market they were walking through, in a way, about to give up for the day. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a sign. It was in the Kinmokusien language, but also had Japanese characters on it. "What???" Without hesitation, she ran to it and it read: Mokusei.

The golden-haired teen ran after her comrade and saw the sign too. "Oh my God, we have to be close!!"

"Yes, the Starlights and Kakyuu are probably the only ones that know Japanese, we're in the right direction!!"

The two girls jumped and squealed with excitement and hugged each other for their discovery.

"So, do you think that Mokusei means north, east, south, or west???"

This made Rei sweat drop and bring back memories of the old Usagi. "Mokusei is the name of the town we're in."

Usagi just did her regular sweat drops as well with her little laugh and the waving of her hand. "Heh heh heh...I knew that!"

"Well, now all we need to find is the palace."

They didn't really have to look long, the odango-head spotted it right behind Rei. "There it is!!" She pointed at its location.

She turned around and saw the castle in the backdrop of the whole scenery. It seemed to be really huge and impossible to overlook. "Oh my goodness. How'd we manage to miss THAT??!?"

Looking for an answer, Usagi then spotted a long and tall skyscraper real close to them. "I think it was because of that building. It was blocking our view."

Rei looked towards it. "Ah Ok. Well, now that we know where he is...LET'S GO!"

Before anything else was said, they both were off.

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

He sat down like a sleep-deprived teenage boy. Sleep didn't come easy for him at night, but it always seemed possible in the daytime. All his eyes wanted to do was close. But then, if he did that, he would think of her and her face would appear. It would hurt him too much and it really wasn't worth it to him anymore.

The meal was then served to him and he looked down at its contents. It looked like...odangos. Two round dumplings stuffed with spicy chicken and topped with ginger sauce.

"I thought I'd have the cooks make this to remind us of our visit on earth."

Taiki and Yaten were sitting across from Seiya along with their wives. Although, Seiya did say that they were beautiful women. For being arranged, the women were sweet and faithful... or so the flowers said.

Taiki slurped when he smelled the delicious steamed carbohydrate. "Mmm...that smells delicious. I could only remember how long it's been since I've tasted a Japanese dish." Clearing his throat, the brunette then stated, "I have but to show off my skills" in the Oriental earth language.

The two wives were very impressed at his talent but Yaten just shrugged and popped an odango in his mouth.

Seiya just sat there, knowing what he was saying. He also wanted to cry. Speaking Japanese never really came up...because bad memories came up as well. Like Odango...

"Seiya, aren't you going to eat your odan-..." The silver-haired bishonen was then about to ask him something that would break his heart dearly. But it looked like he didn't stop himself in time. The raven-haired bishonen just looked down into his lap. Neither of the Lights or the wives asked about his adventure on earth or what happened. Of course they were filled in by their husbands, they thought it was tragic. No one ever really mentioned anything closely related to blonde hair or odangos.

"Ah shit..."

After he sweared out loud, Yaten got nailed on the back of the head by his wife.

"Watch your mouth!!"

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

"Oh wow! Look, they have the laws posted right here in front of the palace! And they're in Japanese too!!" Rei yelled happily as they reached the entrance. There were guards there that didn't move a muscle. But Usagi could spot one of them move their eyes as her friend ran happily to read the document.

They both read all 100 of the laws before they lost concentration and their eyes hurt a bit from all the words. The found out that no one to be let into the palace unless of urgency. And even then, you had to have an appointment with the princess. They also found out the law was talking about the attack from Galaxia. From their low-class perspective, there was no chance to get in at this rate. Kinmokusei had some similarities to earth, stupid laws.

"Well...damn it! This is going great." The soldier of fire paced slowly in front of her serene friend.

"How will we be able to get in??" Usagi started to get tears in her eyes. She wanted to see Seiya so much.

Rei shrugged. "I don't know, another attack?"

An idea popped in the odango-heads' brain. "Yes...another attack..."

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

"P rincess Kakyuu!!! We have an intruder!!!"

Not only did the ruler of the Kinmokusei kingdom look up, but so did her fellow Starlights and wives. An intruder?? There hasn't been one since Galaxia. They rebuilt the planet and they didn't want it to be ruined all over again. Besides thinking of Usagi, Seiya knew that he had a mission and it was to get this intruder, whoever it was...

All six ran into the main militia base room and looked at heat sensors, radars, and the decibel systems they had arranged.

"Where is the intruder stationed???"

"The intruder seems to be on the south side in the courtyard."

"How'd it manage to get in??"

"I...don't...know..."

While the princess was busy with the onlooker of the castle, the three Starlights transformed and were on their tails about the new enemy. They waited for orders.

The palace onlooker turned on a huge device that seemed like a communicator. It showed a shadow of a woman with her hair flowing like waves by her side and there was fire blazing in the back of her petite form. Everyone leaned in to get a better look.

"What do you want!!??!" Princess Kakyuu demanded.

"Silence!!!! I will have no questioning...!" answered the rival.

From behind the enemy, Sailor Mars looked at her partner in "disguise". "Great one Usagi, she just asked what you wanted..." she whispered.

Usagi ignored her friends' remark and straitened herself. "I have come for a duel!!! Send out your strongest warrior and we will battle out for your kingdom!!"

"That's rubbish!! Why makes you think that you can just waltz on my planet and claim it your own???!!!???"

"SILENCE!!!!!" she then turned around. "...now...!"

Sailor Mars then shot a fireball toward the nearest object that seemed to be flammable: an olive tree.

From inside the castle, Sailor Star Healer seemed to turn into a runt of rage.

"Like hell she just did that!!!!" the silver-haired frisky turned toward Sailor Star Fighter. "Seiya, go kick her ass!!!! She has to pay for ruining our symbol!!"

Sailor Star Fighter looked up at the huge communicator and she narrowed her eyes at the figure on it. She loved her planet and princess and knew that the scorching of their property was uncalled for. Without anymore words, she ran through the halls, looking for the exit.

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

Her black leather boots clicked down the Stonehenge of the outside. She was headed down toward the courtyard and she tried her best to be fast. Being without happiness, Star Fighter worked out and trained most of her time to get her mind off things. Slowly she got to be one of the best Sailor Soldiers in the history of Kinmokusei.

She rounded the corner and stopped at the sight. All that she could really see was fire. The black form was a bit blurry, but it was clear to her vision.

"COME ON!!!!" Star Fighter yelled.

Usagi quickly looked up and saw a figure at a distance. Knowing full well it was Seiya transformed, she started on her way toward her.

The soldier squinted her eyes to see if the enemy was making any movement toward her. She did see the form get bigger and then she knew that it was getting closer.

"STOP!!!!!" she took out her brooch. "DON'T COME ANY CLOSER!!!!"

"SEIYA!!!"

"...what...?"

Star Fighter relaxed her body and then looked at the approaching enemy a bit more closer. The form then tripped over its own foot and somehow...she had an inclination.

"O...Odango...???"

No, this couldn't be real. It was just...surreal! For three heartbreaking years, she knew of this moment to be impossible. She had almost given up for a return. But then she also had to think, Penelope never gave up on Odysseus when he was gone for 20 years. God how long was it when she read that story?? Forgetting about mythology, she started running over toward the fallen frame.

She spit out some dirt that managed to get in her mouth. Although some was left inside, she thought that the soil tasted pretty good. This was a good side-effect for hungriness. Shaking her head and spitting out the rest, she saw that Star Fighter was running towards her. Did she finally catch the drift? Usagi resumed to running and knew that for once, her idea was good. But Rei and her probably had to pay for the olive tree they burnt. As she got closer, she could clearly see the soldier's face of astonishment.

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

"Yeah Seiya!!! Charge! CHARGE!!!! Oh crap, its making the first move!!! Ah, it got her!!!! It tackled the poor woman! Not Seiya!! They're hugging!!! What the- wait...wait...yes!!! Spin her around!!!! That's it now let go....n-" she held her 'n' for a couple of seconds. "...NOW!!!! Ok then, keep holding on. NOW LET IT GO!!! NOW NOW NOW!!!! DAMN IT, SEIYA LET IT GO!!!"

Sailor Star Healer was yelling at the heat censor as if Sailor Star Fighter could hear her through it. She then got smacked upside the head by her spouse.

"Will you shut up???!?"

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

Sailor Star Fighter held onto her beloved for dear life. Tears brimmed down her cheeks as she smelled the sweet smell of Odango's shampoo. As of now, she guessed that God was on her side. It felt great to feel the brightness of her shine.

"Odango...is it really you...?"

"Of course Seiya."

Usagi felt leather and skin as she welcomed her friend. She didn't realize how much she had missed Seiya. She kind of wanted to surprise her with the running up, but she guessed that her tripping gave it away. Well, it didn't matter much anyway. She was really afraid of getting creamed by her.

She wiped her tears away before letting go and looking at the odango-head. "How did you...what-...why?"

She smiled brightly. "Magic."

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

"Why didn't Seiya just kill it from the spot!!!! The thing burnt down our holy symbol!!!!!! And now the stupid woman is bringing the enemy closer to the palace!!!" Star Healer kept on going.

"We'll be all right, we've beaten many things, we can sure as hell beat this one." Sailor Star Maker stated as she put her guard up.

"I just can't believe it! Of all the things to scorch, why the tree??? It didn't do anything to it. It could have burnt anything but the tree!"

The brunette Starlight sighed exasperated.

"I mean come on!!! The palace was in full view!!! Why not burn a window???"

"WILL YOU SHUT UP OR I WILL HIT YOU!!!!!!!"

"Hey, I had special moments under that tree!!!"

"Like what?"

The silver-haired woman blushed and coughed. "Special...let's leave it at that..."

Star Maker turned toward Star Healer's wife to see her blushing as well. "What?"

"HEY GUYS!!!!! GUESS WHO I FOUND!!!!!"

Princess Kakyuu perked up at the other yelling voice. "It's Fighter. Why does she seem so happy all of a sudden?"

The lead Starlight arrived with a smile on her face. Her emotion was happy, as if those three years hadn't happened. Her face was tear-streaked though. "Guys, look!" She then pulled on a hand and brought out the Moon Princess.

"Usagi???!? Is that you?" All three, that knew her, asked.

She understood that they were speaking Japanese and nodded violently and she was then enveloped in a big group hug.

"Hey guys, I'm not the only one here."

On cue, Sailor Mars appeared from the same corner that Usagi appeared from. She was still transformed and she looked a bit scared. "Hey guys..."

"REI!!!" The princess and two Starlights then moved on to the Soldier of Fire. There's her reason.

As the other people were hugging Rei, Usagi then took Fighter in another hug. She was so glad to see her. It was nice to know what it's like to get what you want.

The Moon Princess hugged her body out of the blue and Seiya took no time in returning it. She hugged her just as tight and took in the feeling around them. Tears were threatening to spill from her eyes. It was so unbelievable. She was almost about to give up and just then, she appeared. It was like she was an angel, showing up at the right time.

"I missed you..." She finally said.

Usagi pulled back, but still holding onto her dear friend. "I missed you too..."

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE HERE!!!" Star Healer was in a mass of tears as she hugged Usagi and also Fighter.

"Yaten...stop freaking out." Star Maker said exasperated beside her, obviously embarrassed.

The soldier cried harder and latched onto Star Fighter. "It's sooooo cool!!"

"YATEN STOP!!!"

"Ok...sorry..." Yaten said, quickly regaining posture and getting off her pissed comrade.

Usagi was by all this being confused. They were speaking the Kinmokusein language that involved "clicks of the tongue". Although it sounded similar to Japanese but much prettier.

"Um, guys??" Rei asked.

All attention was turned to her. "I just wanted to say that, I'm sorry for burning the tree. We had to get you out there somehow."

"Oh bah! It's Ok, we have two others on the north side!" Healer said as if she handled the situation differently.

All the people, besides the Japanese descendents and silver-haired woman, face faulted.

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

Prin cess Kakyuu purposely assigned for Seiya to take Usagi to her room. It was all unbelievable for her too. Seeing her Starlight sad killed her inside as well. It just didn't feel the greatest being useless in helping a friend. Especially since Fighter was her favorite, she thought that the marriage arrangement would help a bit. But it didn't seem to help as much as she thought. Now...now that she's here, it seems that it was all whisked away. In a way, the lilac princess saw how stubborn but vulnerable Seiya was. She somehow wished deep inside he was gullible as well.

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

"So, how long has it been??"

"Uh...I should think about...three years." Two months, four days, and seven hours. Yeah...he counted. But he had to pretend he was thinking about it so he wouldn't look like too much of a loser in front of Usagi.

The golden-haired goddess turned around as the sunset shine lit the left side of her face. Her hair was on the verge of falling out of its hairstyle, but she looked gorgeous as some stray locks hung by her cheeks. Usagi smiled as she bit her lip. "Two months, four days, and seven hours..."

The Starlight blinked a couple of times to process the math equation. She actually counted TOO?

"Wow, what a difference."

She turned her full body towards him and looked down as if she was shameful. Her appearance was what she was worried about. Her clothing was all but fancy. A light blue dress that went as far as her knees hung on her shapely body. It looked a little big in the hips and shoulders, considering she had lost weight since she first bought it a year after she moved in with Mamoru. She also wore a long-sleeved white shirt under it for the cool weather they were having on earth. It also seemed a bit big. If Usagi would have known, she would have at least dressed appropriately for Seiya. She never expected his casual clothing to be so...not casual. But what she was wearing was what she called, "housewife attire".

"I'm really glad you're here Seiya..."

"Why would you say that?"

"Because I was worried."

"Why would you worry about me?"

Seiya was standing at the foot of the bed as Usagi stood her place by the window. The sunset gleam now shown around her, it was as if she was quintessential of serenity. The raven-haired man couldn't help but stare. His mind told him to look away, that he may freak her out, but his eyes never strayed away.

Usagi stepped closer to him as they were now less than a foot away from each other. Whenever she would confess, she wanted to see all the emotion in his eyes.

"Because, of what I did to you?"

~._.^ What she did to him?? She didn't do anything...too painful...but still. She was beautiful, naive, and kind. She shouldn't be punitive of anything.

"Odango...what're you talking about?"

"Oh c'mon Seiya, let's not play games..." She took another step forward towards him so that he wouldn't miss any point that she will give to him. Also just to get a good look at his handsome face. "...You and I both know that I--"

"Odango, you did not do anything!! I swear I'm fine!"

"I know you're fine now, but during the three years, two months, four days, and seven hours...who knows if you were on the verge of suicide." With her argument, she seemed to push Seiya on the bed and kneel on top of him so that he couldn't back away from her anymore. Although, it was totally innocent from her perspective. She had to apologize to him.

Somehow, he felt trapped under her small feminine body. There he was, lying on the bed with a woman on top of him. It was no turn-your-head matter. Especially for the party going on in his pants. He had to find a way to get out of this predicament. Seiya started to slide upwards on the bed.

"Odango..."

"Seiya...please, I'm sorry. Could you ever find it in your heart to forgive me?" She crawled upward, still having him between her legs. He started to go up faster as he reached the headboard of the bed. No escape anymore as she came face-to-face to him.

"Of course, but--" He was at a loss of words. Did she know of his feelings?

"If there's anything you want me to do, just tell me. I'll do anything."

"I don't want you to do anything."

"There must be at least SOMETHING that you want from me..." Usagi leaned in closer as her nose touches Seiya's. He hoped that she wasn't talking about...it...

Then there was a sudden knock and not bothering to wait, the intruder barged in calling Usagi's name.

For a quick cover-up, Seiya threw Usagi on her back and started to finger her armpits and pinch her sides as she flayed around like a fish on the bed and cackled.

"SEIYA!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA....!!!! SSSSTTTTOOOOPPPP!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!"

She tried to hit him for him to halt but her just grabbed her wrists and pinned them above her head as he started to move his fingers around on her stomach.

Usagi was laughing too much that she was at a loss of oxygen. Or, if it was called oxygen on Kinmokusei. After a couple of seconds on her back, the dominant Starlight then turned her over on her stomach with just one of his hands.

"Princess...would you mind helping me?"

Kakyuu just stood leaned against the door with her arms folded as she looked on at the two at a tickling war. Although, if it weren't for her, it would have become something more.

"Actually, I'm more interested in helping her. I need to talk to Usagi."

The Moon Soldier turned her head on the bed as he eyes gleamed as they were on the brink of shedding tears from her laughing so hard. From the feel of things, Seiya was quite strong and it came to mind that he would be aggressive in bed. She didn't quite exactly dread on the thought.

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

The two princesses walked down the royal hallway. No conversation seemed to be exchanged yet. Silence followed them a ways. Kakyuu wanted to give Usagi some time to catch her breath.

"Are you Ok?"

"Yes, I'm fine." Usagi hugged her stomach and sides as she massaged them a bit to make the pain calm down. "So, what did you want to talk about?"

Kakyuu didn't say anything but just kept on walking down the hall until she seemed to stop. The golden-haired princess stopped as well.

"Usagi, I wanted to know if you would be willing to stay on Kinmokusei for the rest of your life."

At the sound of, 'the rest of your life' she seemed to be surprised. "The rest of my life?"

"Yes...if you're willing to help Seiya."

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

----

The raven-haired Starlight shot up in his bed as he was welcomed by the sunlight of the morning. He wasn't dreaming, although he didn't think. But, it felt like...it was so unreal. Like, whenever Odango came. Odango...

He started to think about when they were having lunch. Kakyuu served them odangos. Slurping, Seiya started to think about having them again. Although, he did only have one that time. After Usagi took one of his and the rest of the cooks'.

He sat down at the table. His hair was a little unkempt, but hey it was breakfast. Besides, he didn't really care for his appearance. Maybe when Usagi came, he would take his hair out of its ponytail.

The door leading from the kitchen opened and a servant came out holding a silver platter. He came Seiya's way and bowed to him. "Breakfast...is served."

"Hey Seiya!"

His eyes opened wide at what the servant revealed. It was not only odangos, but they were Usagi's odangos. It was her whole head on the plate...

----

"AHHHH!!!!!"

He put his hand over his chest as he felt the moisture on his body. The stress on that dream, seemed to be a little too much for him. What was he thinking? Usagi's head on a plate. I guess it would only be natural since he was craving odangos.

"Seiya, I advise you to calm down now." a mellow voice said from the shadows.

He looked over to the side and saw a shapely figure. The pale moonlight sort of gave away her hourglass figure. She stood there with sophistication and grace.

"Odango?"

The mystery woman stepped forward so that Seiya could get a better look at herself. She didn't reveal herself to be the one he had asked.

"Kakyuu???"

"Yes Seiya, I just came here to tell you that it is to happen at the end of this week."

"WHAT????!!!!??"

The princess nodded. "I'll be making arrangements starting today. And you will be running a lot of errands mister!"

"But...but--!"

"I will have none of it!!!"

"Odango!!! She's here, I can't do it!"

"She left Seiya!!"

She..............left? What? She just got here the other day. It just couldn't be true. His heard had already mended at the premonition of his first inclination. And then, she just leaves. Why? His eyes were on the brink of tears.

"But..."

"I'm sorry Seiya, but this is for the best. I'm guessing that she missed earth and Mamoru."

Reluctantly, he nodded as a single tear rolled down his face. Kakyuu didn't seem to care too much about his actions or emotions. She just seemed like a strict forceful aunt. This was like his princess in a way, he guessed she was wanting him to do this quick.

"Princess...who will it be?"

"That I cannot tell you. You know the tradition."

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

" Hey Seiya, I heard you were going to do it real soon!" Yaten yelled as he caught up with his raven-haired comrade.

"Yeah..."

"Well, all I can tell you is, if the flowers are bad, you don't have to stick with her."

"I know."

"What's wrong?"

It's been four days since Kakyuu broke the news to him that night. He didn't bother to count hours or minutes whatever. The big day was only three days away and he didn't bother to hurrying with the errands he had to do. He thought it would be the most depressing moment ever in his life.

"Ah c'mon, it's not that bad. I'm sure Usagi would help you through it."

"She left."

"She WHAT???!!?"

Ok so Yaten was in on it too. But he was sworn by Kakyuu to not even give Seiya the slightest hint. It would be the biggest surprise of his life, and he knew that he would be thanked in the future. But yet, he knew that he had to see him slumped in the blue like he was for three years.

"Ah don't worry, you'll be over that bimbo in no time!" And with that gave him a pat on the back.

And with that, Yaten ate Seiya's fist. He fell to the ground with a thud and a little squeak. He probably deserved that, maybe he went a bit too far.

"DON'T YOU EVER EVER CALL HER THAT OR TALK THAT WAY ABOUT HER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU HEAR??????????!!!!!!!!!?"

"Jesus Seiya, I was only joking."

"Do you think I can take that much pressure or think that anything that comes out of your mouth is a joke!!! I don't have the energy to do this!!!!! All I want to do is be left alone! Is that so hard!!??"

"It is for Princess."

He couldn't take anymore of anything about the princess being upset about doing what he wants. The Fighter Starlight pulled his hair and went into one of the guestrooms for some privacy.

Yaten wiped his lip and looked at the blood left on his hand. Looking around he got an idea. He stood up and started to walk around, looking for his wife. "WAAHAA!!!!! KOMI WHERE ARE YOU!!!!!???! I NEED SOME LOVIN'!!!!"

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

S eiya stood out on the balcony. Looking at the blue planet Odango called home. It shined so brightly. Kinmokusei used to be the brightest, but because of him...it was so hard to find whenever people were traveling. Usually, the people that came here either put their concentration to the location or they're lost and/or stranded. He knew that the day was drawing nearer. He thought and thought for a long time and came up with doing whatever the princess wants him to do. Usagi gave him a second chance and she left. Obviously not satisfied. Maybe he had hurt her whenever he threw her down to tickle her. If she would have told him, he would have stopped. He would have taken it all back...just for her. "I'll do anything". Really, he didn't want her to do anything. Not for him. He didn't believe he deserved anything. Especially something as special as love. Love from Usagi. And Usagi alone, she was someone that you had to compete for. You have to reach a level of that thing in order to have her love. Mamoru...Mamoru seemed to have was she was looking for. He remembered that she adored him. Because she did back then, she did today. Maybe, it was just for a short visit, across the universe. Then she had to leave to her one and only. Maybe it was time to go on...

...Maybe it was time to throw away his life and freedom...

-- --

He lay in bed. Sound asleep...thinking about her. Nothing could wake him, he wouldn't let ANYTHING ruin it. It was the last of his far-away thinking before the big day. After he had made that promise to himself, he then started to feel something so wonderful. It went from his chest up to his neck and then on his face. So wonderful...he opened one eye to get a peek. Seiya then saw Usagi. His Odango, was placing kisses on him. She came back!!! And maybe she really did return his feelings.

"Odango?"

"Seiya..." she climbed until she was on top of him fully and wrapped her body around his as she started to kiss his lips fully. He returned it with all his passion. He could hear her moan as he turned over to where he was on top. He would not pass up this moment. This was the most blissful of his life, of his dreams.

"Seiya."

Now he knew that that wasn't from Odango, but it sounded like her. Seiya then felt something or someone climb on his back and kiss his neck. Breaking the kiss as much as he didn't want to, he turned around only to see Usagi doing that to him. The other Usagi he was holding started to nibble on his shoulder.

He looked over to the right as he felt more pressure on the bed and saw Usagi crawl over by him. "Seiya, I missed you so..."

"Odango?"

Pretty soon, there were about six more of her on the bed and counting. They all just kept coming and coming. Saying his name seductively and in a yearning sense. All the poor man could do was wonder...

----

He awoke in the middle of the night. His eyes were focused on the ceiling of his room as his dream replayed in his mind over and over. He promised himself that he would not wake up. But he did...for Odango. That was it for him, he started to whimper and rolling over, Seiya buried his face in his pillow. He let it all out as the images of her face flashed in his mind. He missed her SO much. He would die any day to have her in his arms. To have his dreams come true, he would sell his soul. Why did he have to do this? Why did it have to be this way??

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

In a few minutes, he knew his life would be over. He could end it all now. Not exactly kill himself, but run away. So he wouldn't have to do this. But Yaten and Taiki stuck by him like glue and helped him get ready. Rei had talked to him a bit, saying that she was sorry for Usagi. Sorry that she had left without saying goodbye, it was an emergency. Yeah, an abort emergency. Only the last part was what he thought.

"C'mon Seiya, it's not as bad as you think..." Taiki reassured him.

He didn't really answer, but nodded. Taiki would never steer him wrong...maybe with the exception of Sailor business. But he hoped that he would never take him to the wrong girl. He could always rely on the flowers. The symbolism of love...and something else in that sense...-_-' But he always knew he had to do this...

Marriage.

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~&d eg;~

He stood at the altar...waiting for his mystery bride to walk down the aisle. A window was right there behind him, also the priest. But it was too late now. He couldn't abandon his princess. And he couldn't bring her to shame with the whole planet knowing her own Starlight running away. And he certainly didn't want to hurt anymore women.

Pretty soon, soft wedding music started to play and the guests sat up in respect. Princess Kakyuu walked down in one of her most beautiful gowns. Seiya gawked. His stomach then turned into butterflies when he imagined Usagi in it. But, he had to be honest with himself, Kakyuu was beautiful. And for a time, he was in love with her. He soon then realized that it was just a crush. He had only thought it.

After her, came the bride. She was dressed in a light blue silk dress that resembled a kimono. The designs weren't dragons or flowers, but they were little animals. Rabbits they were. * Kakyuu did this on purpose! * Seiya cursed his princess internally. The woman then came up to him and bowed to him with respect. A bowl was placed atop her head as it covered her whole face and stopped at her chin. The tradition was that the bride would drink nectar from a certain flower and place a bowl atop her head. The bowl would stick to her head and she would have to stay in this one room for a whole week before the wedding. She couldn't have anything to eat, if so, the bowl would fall off and everything would be ruined. He could tell from the little sounds from the bride's stomach and her skinny shapely body that she was starving. But...Kinmokusei women's stomachs never made that sound. Maybe Kakyuu tried hard and found a woman out of the ordinary.

"For all who attend, we join a Fighter and a Bride under holy matrimony in the name of our princess." The priest then spoke up. "In the name of the Kinmokusei monarchy, we join Kou Seiya of Mokusei and Traneta Kane of Rairakku..."

Kane??? What kind of a name was that??!

"...We may soon hear of the declaration of their love in the future. They will soon know of each others emotions with each wilt or growth. And to start that process, Seiya?" The priest retrieved a seed looking thing and handed it to the groom. Seiya took it from him and bit the seed as a red liquid seeped from inside. His saliva mixed with it as he hesitantly put it up to the bride's lips. She lightly nibbled on the seed and took it in her mouth and she also got a part of Seiya's finger. He didn't really feel like being friendly at the moment and took his finger from her mouth and wiped her saliva off on his pants.

Soon, the bowl on the woman's head started to crack. The guests all watched with awe as it broke away quickly. They could barely see flower petals growing from inside. The bowl broke more as more color variations came out. Yellow, red, white, (a rarity) blue and the Casablanca Lily. Seiya didn't seem to take much interest, but he stared at the flowers anyway. Blonde hair seemed to be revealed and that seemed to puzzle him. No native Kinmokusein has that light of hair! Could it be...?

The whole bowl fell to the floor in pieces. Afterward, the bride looked up to look her husband-to-be in the eye. She smiled sweetly with her golden hair up tangled up in with the flowers as some cascaded down like ripples to her ankles. The flowers were in full bloom, meaning that her emotions in the flowers were so strong. The flowers in her hair were the favorite of the husband: roses. She had a red rose, which resembled her love. A white rose: which resembled purity. The blue one: resembling her pleasure. A yellow rose, on the brink of being pink: resembled her faithfulness. And finally, the Casablanca Lily: resembling virginity.

"We shall now pray for our new found couple..." The priest then bowed his head in prayer. Yet, he couldn't take his eyes from the bride. She was most beautiful he's ever seen. With her golden hair, she certainly was a sight. The rest of the guests didn't seem to follow his asking, neither did the groom. He turned toward the groom. Seiya seemed to have tears in his eyes. Somehow, the wise priest knew there was something behind all this.

"Seiya...I'm sorry for upsetting you this past week..." Usagi whispered, sort of guilty.

"Odango, I don't know how you pulled it off-" He turned toward Kakyuu and looked at her, she looked back at him with a smile and a wink. He then turned toward Yaten and Taiki as they too smiled and winked.

"Ok Ok! Blah blah blah!!! You may now kiss the bride!" The priest yelled as if he was in a hurry. Seeing grooms ending up happy with their coupling was pretty rare in his conducting. Except for the three Starlights that he had to wed. He guessed that only the really REALLY special people get good privileges.

Seiya didn't asked the priest what the hell he was doing. Instead, he encircled his arms around Usagi and kissed her passionately. Her taste being the sweet nectar of the seed she ate, which enabled the flowers to grow. (Get it? Flowers... seeds??) His new bride kissed back with just as much passion and the whole wedding cheered as the music was now joyful and lilac petals were thrown. This was a happy day. A VERY happy day.

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

Seiya waited for Usagi as she was getting ready in the bathroom. They both were placed in the honeymoon wing that was specially reserved in the castle. He didn't know how much he cried or how long. He was just the happiest man in the universe. Usagi almost thought that he was going to die by the way he was acting. Truth being, she was acting the same way. Especially since she was starved the past week. But yet, she couldn't eat, not until she got the flowers growing... but Seiya knew that Usagi would be out right quick. She was still deprived of the details of the tradition.

He could hear soft foot pats from behind him as he turned around to see his bride still fully dressed with her flowers in her hair.

"Seiya....." she stretched his name. She sounded as if she was complaining.

"Yes my Odango?"

"It won't come off, neither will the flowers."

He smiled mockingly and walked over to Usagi. He untied her sash around her tiny waist with no problem. It fell to the floor and her robe opened to show her hunger-stricken body.

"How'd you do that??" She asked amazed.

"Magic."

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~&de g;~

"Seiya?"

"Yes Odango?"

"Were you... hurting during this past week?"

They both were laying in bed after they had performed what married couples do on their honeymoon. Seiya and Usagi were on their sides and he was hugging her from the front, her back to him.

"Well, a little bit."

"Oh please Seiya. I know how you are."

"Ok fine, I was--"

"You were...?"

"I was thinking about running away."

Usagi lay there as she thought about some alternative outcomes. What if Seiya had run away, what if he had killed himself? What if he hadn't have shown up at the altar? She held his hand, whenever she was camping out in the tiny room, she worried greatly about him. Although Kakyuu told her not to worry, that he's being looked out for by Yaten, Taiki, and herself. And then things got worse, she couldn't eat.

"I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"For hurting you all the time. I feel so bad."

"Odango don't worry about it. I'm over it. I finally have you."

She turned around to where she stared at him face to face. "I promise you for the rest of my life, I will never hurt you again."

He kissed the back of her hand gently before kissing her lips. "And I promise never to hurt you."

Usagi smiled. "One more question."

"Ask away."

"What do the flowers mean?"

Seiya smiled as he turned her on her back and laid half on top of her to retrieve the flowers from the nightstand beside them. "The flower represents the bride. The kind of flower rests on the man's favorite flower. The colors represent love, purity, pleasure, faithfulness...and sometimes virginity."

"Was I a virgin??" She asked with a cocked eyebrow.

He reached over and got what used to be the Casablanca Lily. It was now all wilted and brown and falling apart. "Well, you USED to be." he chuckled and kissed her cheek. Tossing it aside, he then retrieved the red rose. "Here is the red rose, meaning your love for me. It grows whenever your love grows. And the state of bloom it's in means how strong your love is."

"Is it the same for the other roses, except the meaning?"

Seiya nodded.

Usagi smiled and looked over at the blue rose. It had grown a lot and it looked as if another would grow since the other can't grow anymore. But in her heart, she knew that the red one would always stay alive.

~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~°~

Well, that night...it was most noisy, but the couple finally got to sleep. They went out for breakfast out in the city and Kakyuu sent for a maid to clean up after them and leave them some mints. When the maid got there, she screamed so loud, the whole capital heard it. She had never seen so many blue roses!!
