" Mmm, I smell fruit, " thought Goku as he wandered through the fog

The fog grew thicker and soon Goku could not see where he was going. He was just about to take one more step when he realised that he had just almost walked off a clift. He tried to regained his balance but out of the blue, he felt somone or something push him off the clift. He tried to grab something to hold on but there was none. Goku soon felt himself plunging down
the clift.

Suddenly, when it seemed like all hope was lost, Goku felt someone catch him before he could reached the ground. Immediately, the fog began to clear and Goku could see who had rescued him. It was the strange girl with beautiful wings. she gave him a smile and landed him onto the ground.

" Thank you for saving me. " smiled Goku as he thanked the stranger.

" Your welcome, " laughed the stranger as her wings retreated into her back leaving her looking like an odinary human

" My name is Goku what's yours? " asked the all too happy monkey who did not seem to realise that she could be a threat

" My name is Miko, " replied the girl

" Miko, what a nice name... " exclaimed Goku

Just then, an arrow shot passed the duo leaving Goku dumb founded and Miko in a fight stance with her wings coming out.

" You better go, " she managed to whispered softly breaking him out of his state

Goku tried to protest but soon a few more arrow came whizzing towards him. The girl jumped on him and protected him with her wings. When the rain of arrows was finally over, the duo could hear shouting.

" I got 'em! " came a voice

The girl realesed Goku from her grip. The voice went silent for a few moments but a figure came into the bushes. It was some bandit youkais.

Furious, the girl scattered some seeds which turned into huge flesh eating plants. With a single command, the plants went off to have the youkais for lunch. The girl then grabbed Goku's hand before running off.

When they finally came to a stop, Goku was already panting for breath. The girl then led Goku into a cave for him to rest. Just then, Goku's stomach growled loudly. Laughing softly, the girl decided to go search for food.

A few minutes later, Goku could smell the fragrant smell of fruits. It was Miko and she had brought the food. while Goku ate ravenously, the girl only took a fruit and began eating it.

Feeling curious about the girl, Goku asked " Hey Miko, do you leave here alone? "

The poor girl nodded sadly.

" What about your parents? " asked Goku

" I don't have any, but I did had an addoptive parent once but now she's dead " said Miko as tears treatened to fall from her eyes

" I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said anything " apologised Goku

" It's okay, I like your open attitude... " replied Miko as she wiped away the tears but it was no use

Taking pity on the girl, Goku finally said " Don't cry Miko, how about this, I bring you along on my travels? "

" Huh? Are you sure? " asked the poor girl as she stopped crying and looked into his golden eyes making him flushed slightly

" Sure I'm sure! " smiled Goku

" I really love to but I 'm suppose to meet someone by the name of Kouryuu, I think he's a Sanzo priest too he has purple eyes, blonde hair and his master, Koumyo Sanzo, was a good friend of my addoptive parent I think... "

" Well, one of my friend is a Sanzo, and he does have the qualities which you are looking for, maybe he's the one you're lookin for? "

" Really? " asked Miko surprised

" Yup I'm definately sure, alright! " exclaimed Goku as he pulled her to the entrance of the cave. The girl reluctantly followed.
