Hey guys! It feels great to be back on media miner! Sorry this chapter took so long; my grades weren't really good this card marking so I wasn't allowed to type my fic or go onto the internet for fun, only for school projects. ^^; Even though I wasn't allowed to type I could still write out this chapter, and it should be a pretty good chapter considering I had a lot of time to think about it.:) Also I just read the reviews and the burning question of why Grappler put Chaos together and not Madnug will be answered in the next chapter. ~_^

 

Zapper Zaku: Grappler's not smart enough to make a gundam! I bet you he doesn't even know what 2+2 is!

 

Me: Zapper, what is 2+2?

 

Zapper Zaku: Four!

 

Me: Nope, 22.

A New Allie? Or Future Villain?

Chp.4 Reacquainted

 

Chaos could feel herself being pulled apart as she traveled from Neotopia to the Dark Axis dimension. `Come on don't let go,' she thought intensely as she squeezed the Kamusai's fin tighter, but in an abrupt flash the trip was over. Her grip loosened; she looked around to take in the sights of the barren atmosphere of floating land masses. What really caught Chaos's attention were the Magna-Musai and the fortress that they neared every second.

 

She dropped and shook her head, “I was hoping that I would never have to come back.”

 

To Chaos this just wasn't her home, this was her nightmare. She began to get lost in her complex thoughts until the Kamusai landed on the deck of the Magna-Musia. The thud of the landing woke her up to the task at hand.

 

“Alright you morons hurry up and unload the gundams!” Zapper barked as he struggled to climb down from the Kamusai.

 

Zapper un muffled Shute with his hand and pointed to a soldier, “Hey you! Take the boy to the prison cells!” he barked as he shoved Shute towards the green little minion.

“Yes sir, zako.” The soldier responded as he grabbed Shute's left arm and began dragging him away from the gundams.

 

“No, let go of me!” Shute screamed as he tried to break free of the Zako soldiers grip (they may be small, but they are tough little guys!) pulling him self away from the soldier.

 

But even though he tried with all of his might he couldn't even give the soldier a hard time. Shute turned his head towards his friends and gave them a pathetic look; it was if he was saying good-bye for the final time. Within a few minutes Shute and the soldier disappeared behind a door that led into the inside of the ship.

 

Captain was terrified, “Shute!” He called out, attempting to get one last response from his friend. But no response could be heard.

 

“Ha! That's gonna be the last time you'll ever see him!” Zapper laughed as a crane lifted the rubber ball off the Kamusai, then swinging itself around to hang the rubber mass off the side of the Magna-Musai.

 

“Oh shut it Zipper!”

 

Zapper turned his head and saw Grappler walking up to him triumphantly with Destroyer at his side.

 

“Now that the gundams are on the ship we need to divide them up,” Grappler explained, “I already told Destroyer that the samurai is his, so that leaves Captain and Zero. How about this, I'll take Captain and yo-.”

 

“NO!” Zapper fumed, “Captain's my nemesis and I faced him first!”

 

Grappler crossed his arms, “Fine, just don't crap your self!” He suddenly gave Zapper an evil death glare, “But if you let him escape like Chaos I'll kill you!”

 

Both Zapper and Grappler began to walk away from the gunadams and continued bickering. But Destroyer still stood there, all quite like, staring at Bakunetsumaru. `The way he's staring at me, it's kind of scary,' he thought as the ships deck became eerily silent.

 

“I blow up samurai!” Destroyer chanted with glee as he threw his arms in the air, shattering the silence and startling the gundams.

 

Baku rolled his eyes, “Oh great, I'm going to die in the hands of a brainless maniac.” He grumbled with disgust.

 

“Dom! Get your useless butt over here!” Grappler ordered from afar, obviously just noticing Destroyer's absence.

Destroyer swung around and took off after his two comrades, only to be greeted with a smack in the back of the head by Zapper and Grappler (which fired up an argument between the three). Within seconds the three lords disappeared behind the door that Shute was dragged through, and the sound of their arguing faded into the bowls of the ship.

 

Things were once again silent, not even a Zako soldier could be seen or heard. Zero looked around, observing the surrounding area when he noticed that Captain's head was dropped. “Don't worry Captain, Shute's a strong boy. I'm sure h-.”

 

“Hi guys!” ^_^

 

The trio looked down to the deck to find the source of the `perky' voice, only to see Chaos looking right back up at them with her hands on her hips.

 

“Chaos?!” The gundam trio exclaimed in unison.

 

Zero's pupils widened, “B-but how did you sneak on the Magna-Musai without being seen?” O_o

 

“I have my ways.” ~_^

 

“Why are you here? Oh no wait, let me guess! You're here to watch your comrades slaughter us!” Baku spat with hatred at her.

 

Chaos crossed her arms, “No I'm here to save your hides' numb skull.” She answered coldly.

 

Baku dropped his head and gave a sigh, “We're doomed.”

 

Chaos gave him a disgusted look and then turned her attention to Captain, “I'll get Shute out of captivity first, just in case if things don't go according to plan.”

 

Captain nodded with relief, “Thank you.”

 

“Plan, what plan?!” Baku screamed at her.

 

But Chaos didn't hear Baku's comment. She swung around and began running towards the door, ignoring Baku's distant insults and yelling. When she reached the door she stopped in front of it, taking a minute to think about what she was going to do. But thinking about her plane made memories of her brief life on the Magna-Musai flash through her mind, and she shuttered. `What am I doing? There's still enough time to turn around and…no. I owe them.” She reached out to the control pad that was mounted on the wall next to the door and pushed a button, opening the door. It slid open revealing a dark, dimly lite hallway with many doors lined up against its walls. She took a deep breathe and walked through the door way, once she entered the hallway the door slammed behind her.

Chaos began jogging as she checked out her surroundings, “Alright, Zapper said `take him to the prison cells,' so that's were he must be.” She huffed as she made a sharp right turn into another hallway.

 

After running for what seemed like endless hours and turning around countless corners, she had finally found the prison cells. She peered inside, and was immediately disgusted. The dark room contained five, barred cells that had water collecting in the center of them. Gundam rats scurried around the floor and around her feet. Three of the cells were empty, but one of them contained the remains of two Lacroa gundams (remember when Zero mentioned that many of his comrades vanished on the Magna-Musai on `Escape the Enemy Musai'?) A few gundam rats gnawed on the grizzly, rusty remains. But the cell next to it contained Shute. He was looking at the floor, trying not to look at the disgusting gundam corpses in the cell next to him.

 

“Shute?”

 

He looked up and was immediately over joyed, “Chaos!”

 

“Shute are you o.k.?”

 

“Yeah I'm fine, but I think someone's going to be back soon.”

 

“Don't worry, just hang in there. I'll have you out in a few seconds.”

 

Chaos turned away from Shute and walked toward a huge key board with a very large screen. She looked down onto the key board and put her index finger on her mouth piece.

 

“Now which one of these buttons will open cell number one?” she mumbled as she stared at he array of keys and buttons.

 

She took her finger off of her mouth piece and pointed at the key board, “There's only one thing to do in a situation like this….iny, meany, miny, moe.”

 

She randomly pushed a red button, and by the will of Hades, it was the alarm button. The screen began to flash the word `emergency' on it and the sirens rang through the ship. Chaos jumped in surprise and Shute covered his ears tightly. The gundam rats scurried in random directions.

 

“He, he….oops.” ^ ^; Chaos sighed nervously.

 

She began to push random buttons, shutting off the alarms and, finally, opening Shute's cell. He quickly got up and ran out of the cell, his face was beat red and he looked like he had just crapped himself.

 

“We've got to get outta here before they us both!” he stated in frightened tone while shaking Chaos's shoulders.

Chaos shook her head in disagreement, “No, not yet. We have to get the slava first.”

 

Shute giggled a little, “Whoops, almost forgot. Were the salva anyways?”

 

“In Grappler's quarters.” Chaos stated in a freakishly calm tone.

 

“……,” O_O

 

Shute was mortified; he gave Chaos a blank look. It was if he was saying `you've got to be kidding me.' He wanted to protest but before he could even say a word Chaos grabbed him by the arm, running out of the prison cells and into the hallway. She began running down the hall at pretty fast pace while dragging Shute her.

 

“Chaos where are we going?” Shute questioned as they reached a pair of tall stairs.

 

Chaos looked around nervously for a little bit before answering him, “Where do you think we're going?”

 

She looked away from Shute and at a large, black chest that had caught her attention when they first reached the area. She walked over to it and motioned Shute over.

 

“Hurry up and get inside this chest Shute,” she asked as she opened the odd looking box, “I'm going into Grappler's quarters alone.”

 

Just before Shute stepped into the chest, he shot a concerned look at her, “But why?”

 

“If I'm caught you'll still have a chance to escape and free the others.” She explained.

 

“But what happens if you do get caught?”

 

Chaos gave him a nervous `smile', “Don't worry about me, I'll be fine.”

 

Shute smiled back at her and shakily got into the chest, not knowing what was going to happen next.

 

He quikly looked up at her and whispered, “Good luck.”

 

Chaos nodded to him as she slowly shut the chest door. A tear rolled down the side of her face, `That may be the last time that I'll ever see him,' she thought in agony. When the chest was shut, Chaos turned around and wiped the tear off her face. She walked up to the stair case and placed her foot on the first step. She slowly began to make her way up the stairs until she finally made it to the top. She stood there and looked deep into the new hall way that had four doors, there were two on each side and they were spaced far apart from each other. `Alright, there's no turning back now.'

 

She walked over to the first door on the left, it was Grappler's room. Chaos hesitated for a few seconds, but then reached for the control pad that was mounted on the wall next to the door. She pushed the red button and the door slid open. She stepped into the very large, rather nice looking room that contained a desk that was covered in crumbled papers and pens. It also had a large bed with messy, tangled sheets (showing that Grappler has had a restless night) and two large windows on each side of the bed. Grappler's weapons were proudly hung on the wall that the desk was pushed up to.

 

“Wow, looks like Grappler's living the good life.” Chaos mumbled to herself as she walked over to the `lethal' wall.

 

“Salva, salva, ah there it is.”

 

The salva was between Grappler's beloved grappling claw and his sword, luckily it was in within Chaos's grasp (Chaos is a little height deprived). She reached up carefully and grabbed the odd tube with both of her hands, lifting it out of the hook. She slowly brought the tube down and backed away from the wall.

 

“Whew, mission success…so far.” She sighed with relief as she walked over to the door.

 

She was just about to open it until it opened itself. `Wait, I didn't even touch the button yet,' she thought with terror as the door slid open. On the other side of the door was Grappler. He was gaping at her while his finger was still on the control pad that was located on his side of the door.

 

Chaos took a few steps back while she quickly hid the salva behind her back, “He, he, long time no see eh Grappler?” ^^; She nervously squeaked.

 

Grappler walked in and shut the door behind him, “Where the heck have you been?!” He roared as he walked towards her, “Don't you know what kind of humiliation that I've gone through ever since you left you little delinquent?!”

 

Chaos began shaking as fear seized her by the throat, “Uh, well, not really bu-.”

 

Grappler all of a sudden tensed up when he noticed that something wasn't quite right with her, “What's that behind your back?”

 

She all of a sudden straightened her posture, “Nothing.” 9_9

 

“Don't lie to me, that nothing looks like something.” He growled, obviously not believing her.

 

Grappler stopped and looked to his wall of weapons; he suddenly noticed that the salva was gone. He snapped his head back to back to Chaos, it looked like he was going to kill her.

 

Grappler was furious, “You're working with the enemy aren't you?!”

 

“What? Of course not.” Chaos replied while nervously shaking her head.

 

Grappler clenched his fists, “You little traitor! How dare you sneak off the ship and join sides with them!” he rolled his eye and sighed, “Oh goodie, this means that you're going to have to be reprogrammed…More work for me.”

 

“Eeep.” O_O Chaos squeaked, unable to respond.

 

Grappler suddenly lunged for Chaos, catching her totally off guard. His arms were out stretched to grab her, but Chaos quickly dodged his snag making Grappler land on his feet with his back facing her. He swung around in another attempt to grab her, but was greeted by Chaos's fist on the left side of his face. He fell to the ground with a thud, face first.

 

Chaos spun around and made a break for the door as she hooked the salva onto her belt. When she reached the door she pushed the button on the control pad, making the door slide open. When it was opened she ran out into the hallway and frantically looked around the area, and what she saw made her freeze. Zapper Zaku was across the hall, just about to enter his quarters. Amazingly he didn't notice her…yet.

 

“Somebody stop her!” Grappler screamed in anger from inside his room, making Zapper look in Chaos's direction.

 

Zapper immediately recognized Chaos and pointed at her, “Hold it right there Cammerce!” He ordered as he began to run after her.

 

Chaos went into a panic and fled for the stairs, just missing Zapper's clutches. Chaos hated Zapper with a passion, she found him to be loud and obnoxious. She never listened to him during the three months that she lived on the Musai, so why should she listen to him now?

 

“Man this was a little too easy,” Chaos chuckled, “There's no way that Zapper can keep up with me.”

 

She flew down the stairs with Shute's chest in sight. Just as she made it to the base of the stairs, Zapper and Grappler could be heard yelling at each other from the hallway upstairs (Grappler was blaming Zapper for letting Chaos slip through his grasp…again). She ignored her counter parts arguing and fled for the chest, excitement and joy fogging her common sense. Chaos stopped in front of the chest and was just about to open it until somebody suddenly grabbed her wrist. She gasped as she swung her head around to see who it was. Was it Grappler, Zapper, a Doga? Nope, it was Destroyer Dom. He was clutching her wrist tightly with one of his hands. Chaos put her free hand on the hand that was holding her captive, attempting to pull her self free.

 

“Let go of me Dom!” Chaos wheezed in exhaustion.

 

“Good boy Dom, hold her there until we reach you!” Grappler praised as he began to run down the stairs with Zapper close behind him.

 

Her pupils shrank in terror. Grappler and Zapper were on their way down the stairs, she had yet to break free from Destroyer, and she still had to get Shute out of the chest. The thought of being reprogrammed and failing her new friends made her panic and struggle even more.

 

Destroyer tightened his grip around her wrist, “Aww, is the wittle gundam scared?” He teased evilly.

 

Chaos was ticked. She tightened her muscles and clenched her free hand.

 

“Shut your hole Destroyer!” Chaos barked as she punched Destroyer in the stomach with her clenched fist.

 

The blow knocked the wind out of him. He let go of Chaos and wrapped his arms around his stomach while leaning forward, attempting to regain his breath. He fell to the ground, pain seizing his stomach and lungs.

 

Chaos wasted no time. She turned around and hurriedly opened the chest, “Shute get out of the chest now!” She urgently gasped as she grabbed him by the right arm, lifting the boy out of the box.

 

Shute gave her a worried expression, “Why, what's-.”

 

What he saw terrified him. Destroyer was shakily getting up from the ground only a few feet away, and Zapper and Grappler were at the base of the stairs and running towards them. Before could scream in terror, Chaos tightened her grip on his arm and took off down the hallway that they had gown through earlier.

 

“You two stop!” Grappler yelled, his voice right behind them.

 

Shute turned his head and saw the three Dark Axis lords running at them, side by side.

 

“Chaos they're gaining on us, cant you run any faster?!”

 

“I would Shute but my leg is in so much pain,” she began to slow down slightly, “If I keep running this hard I may ruin my leg again.”

 

Shute's face turned pale, “Well where is the door?”

 

Chaos pointed to the hallway ahead of them, “Straight ahead.”

 

Shute felt temporary relief when he saw a door ahead of them; it was the door to the outside world. He began to lose focus making him stumble a little. Even tough Chaos was dragging him; it was still hard for his legs to keep up.

 

Shute stumbled a little bit more, “Chaos, my legs feel like jello. I don't think I can-.”

 

He stopped speaking. He felt a slight brush against the back of his shirt. He turned his head and saw Grappler's arm outstretched and only a few inches from his back. Zapper and Destroyer were at his side, ready to pounce on Chaos or Shute, whoever fell behind first.

 

Shute let out a frightened shrill, “Chaos!”

 

Chaos snapped her head back at Shute to see what all the commotion was about. Her soul drive leapt when she saw how close the Dark Axis trio had gotten. `Screw the sore leg! I have to gain ground!'

 

Chaos squeezed Shute's arm, “Hold on Shute!”

 

Shute frowned, “What do you mean `hold on'? You're holding onto-whoa!”

 

Chaos picked up speed, lots of speed. Shute's head snapper back and he grabbed onto Chaos's arm with his free hand. He looked back and began to laugh; the trio seemed to be getting smaller and smaller.

 

“Wow, I don't think my legs have ever moved this quickly before!” Shute giggled.

 

The moment of excitement and joy ended when his head snapped forward and Chaos stopped to a screeching halt; they had finally reached that all `sacred' door. Chaos let go of Shute's arm and pushed the button on the key board on the wall. The door slid open and they both calmly walked through the door, temporarily forgetting about trio and the pursuit. When they made it to the other side reality had just dawned upon Shute, they were still in danger.

 

He quickly nudged her shoulder, “Chaos, those goons will be here any second! Hurry up and shut the door!”

 

Chaos calmly shook her head, “No.”

 

“What?!”

 

“Shutting the door will only buy us a few seconds, we need a few minutes.” She explained.

 

Shute was about to protest, but a rough voice stopped him.

 

“You two are dead!” Zapper's voice rang out, making Shute cringe with fear.

 

Chaos and Shute looked deep into the dimly lit hallway and saw the trio running towards them at full speed. Destroyer looked exhausted, but Zapper and Grappler looked flustered and ticked. The real scary thing was that they were about 15 feet away from the door opening.

 

Shute reached up and grabbed his hair, “Chaos shut the door!” he pleaded, “Imagine what they'll do to us if we're caught!”

 

They were now 10 feet away.

 

Chaos calmly put her finger on the control pad, “Don't worry, they won't catch us.”

 

5 feet away.

 

The boy's heart raced and he was on the verge of crying, “What do you mean `they won't catch us'?! The door is wide open and you won't shut it!”

 

By the time Shute was done speaking the trio was just about to pass through the door opening. Chaos smirked behind her mouth piece, they were right were she wanted them. Shute covered his eyes, thinking that is fate has been sealed. Just as the trio was about to pass through the door opening, Chaos pushed a button and the door began to close.

 

“Ha! Got you-.” Zapper was cut off by the door slamming shut in his face.

 

THUD

 

Chaos felt instant pride, she had shut the door right in front of the lords, making them run into it face first…ouch. O_o

 

`Why am I not dead yet?' Shute thought in terror as he cautiously opened his eyes.

 

He fearfully looked around, expecting some sort of torture device to be shoved in his face, “Chaos, where did they go?”

 

Chaos pointed to the door, “They're back there.” She boasted triumphantly.

 

Then it hit him, “Oh, I understand what you were doing,” he began to walk towards the rubber ball with Chaos at his side, “Whew, that was a close call Chaos. You're not afraid to take risks are you?”

 

“Nope,” she unhooked the salva from her belt, “You can kinda say that I'm insane.”

 

The duo were now in front of the rubber mass that contained their gundam friends, still having their conversation.

 

“I can't believe that they didn't notice the door shutting.” Shute praised, “Chaos that was pure genius!”

 

“Thanks Shute, I'm just glad-.”

 

“Hey!” Shute and Chaos looked up to see Baku yelling back down at them, “Don't forget about us!” >_<+

 

Shute sweat dropped, “Oops, sorry guys.” ^ ^;

 

Captain perked up and was immediately over joyed, “Shute you're alright!”

 

Shute looked up and smiled back at him, “Of course I am, Chaos took good care of me.”

 

Zero looked down at Chaos, “Well done milady,” (if his hands were free he would've popped a rose out for her), “Your assistance is much appreciated.”

 

Chaos nodded back at Zero, “Thanks Zero, but know there's only one problem…” She looked at Shute grimly, “…How are we going to get them down from the crane before the trio gets here?”

 

Shute dropped his head and put his finger on his chin. He pondered on the situation for a little bit, until it struck him. He still had his back pack.

 

He looked to Chaos, “You still have my communicator right Chaos?”

 

She gave him a funny look, “Right.”

 

Shute held out his hands, “Hand me the salva and the communicator will ya?”

 

She handed him both of the objects. Once Shute had the communicator and salva in his grasp, he pulled his back pack off of his back and unzipped it. He pulled out his riller blades and hooked them to his shoes. He then threw the back pack over his shoulders and pushed a button on his communicator.

 

Chaos rolled her eyes, “Shute what are you-.” She stopped at the sight of Shute roller balding up the side of the crane, “Wow, impressive.”

 

He looked back down at her, “It's really not that complicated…” he began to pour the salva onto the rubber ball, making it shrink, “…There's just magnets on the bottom of these roller blades.”

 

Chaos crossed her arms, “Still that's pretty impr-.”

“Chaos behind you!” Captain shrieked, making Chaos jump and Shute to stop pouring the salva.

 

Before she could turn around and see the cause of Captain's panic, someone wrapped their arms around her stomach. Then they wrapped their other arm around her chest, squeezing her arms to her sides and depriving them of movement. Chaos struggled, but it only made her captor squeeze tighter.

 

Chaos was mortified, she didn't know who it was until Zero announced it out loud, “Let go of her Grappler!”

 

Grappler shot his gaze up to the knight, “Oh yeah I'm just going to let her go after searching every friggin dimension for her for nearly a year,” he sarcastically scowled while trying to hold her still, “How dumb do you think I am?! She shut a steel door in my face, she punched me, and because of that little escape stunt a while back Madnug has been taunting me since!”

 

Chaos looked at Grappler from the corner of her eye, “It's not my fault that Zapper's such a heavy sleeper!”

 

She would've said more, but Grappler kicked her in the back of the leg.

 

“Ouch!” >.< Chaos gasped, pain surging through her bad leg.

 

“Shut up!” Grappler commanded as he looked up to the gundams with an evil grin on his face.

 

“You coward!” Bakunetsumaru barked from his position in the rubber mass, “Even though I don't like Chaos…”

 

“Wow, thanks Baku.” T_T Chaos whispered under her breath, wishing that she didn't her that comment.

 

“….I still believe that she has the right to choose her own destiny. You shouldn't force her to do anything, so let her go!” Baku finished.

 

“Oh please, spare me that teary crap!” Grappler spat as Destroyer and Zapper finally joined his side, “I've worked too hard to just let her do what she wants. I took me two years to put this brat together; I made sure that I went over every little detail…”

 

“Why is she that important?” Captain questioned, trying to buy time so he could think of a way out of this mess.

 

Grappler looked to Captain, “Chaos is a super weapon. The Commander wanted her created just for invasion of Neotopia. She was created to destroy you three…”

 

Those words bounced through Shute's mind like a bouncy ball. `Chaos was made to kill my friends. That can't be true…'

 

“…Even though we don't have the boy to interrogate we've still won. Once Chaos is reprogrammed Neotopia will be ours, and you three will be six feet under!” Grappler taunted.

 

The three Dark Axis lords for the first time in a long time looked triumphant. The battle was won…well that's what they thought.

 

Shute woke himself up, realizing that hope wasn't totally lost. He quickly began to re pour the salva, hoping that the lords wouldn't notice. But to his dismay, they did. The salva was suddenly shot, literally shot out of his hands. He shakily looked down to find the source of the bullet. He saw Zapper looking right back up at him with a machine gun aimed at him like a target.

 

Zapper grinned, “Don't think that you were going to get away with that again you poor excuse for a heap of cells!”

 

“Oh stop your yammering and get him down you dolt!” Grappler hissed at his counter part.

 

“Geez keep circuits straight you lunatic…” Zapper grumbled as he walked up to the crane.

 

He looked up to Shute, “Get down here you littlee organic!” Zapper ordered impatiently.

 

Chaos struggled even more, “No! Leave him alone you stooge!”

 

Zaku quickly shot his gaze back to Chaos, “Call me that again and I'll blast you into bits Cammerce!”

 

He looked back to Shute and impatiently tapped his foot, waiting for Shute to come down.

 

Shute clenched his fists, “No, I'm not coming down!”

 

Zero, Captain, and Baku gaped. Shute was usually the type to do what he's told no matter what, and here he is standing up to an evil, organic hating mecha. (They grow up so fast).

 

“Fine, if you won't come down, I'll shoot you down!” Zapper gripped his gun and pointed it at Shute, “I'll give you to the count of five to get your sorry butt down here!”

 

Shute turned pale; he knew that either way he was going to die. `If Captain, Zero, and Bakunetsumaru aren't going to make it, then so am I. I'm not leaving without them.' He held his ground, remaining loyal to his friends.

“One!”

 

Captain was frustrated. Zero, Baku, and he were captives and guaranteed death, Shute was about to be turned into Swiss cheese, and Chaos was in Grappler's clutches making her useless at the moment. He was for the first time, thinking about surrendering until he noticed that the rubber was now down to his elbows.

 

“Two!”

 

Captain leaned to the side and whispered to Zero, “The rubber is thin enough for me to break through. Tell Bakunetsumaru to get ready to fight.”

 

Zero nodded and then leaned over to Baku, telling him Captain's message. Baku nodded to Zero, letting him know that he understood.

 

“Three!”

 

Captain closed his eyes and tightened his limbs. Energy rushed through his arms.

 

“Four!”

 

With a sudden burst of energy Captain pushed his arms outward, breaking his comrades and himself free of the rubber. Zapper stepped back in surprise, shooting his gun in the air by accident. Zero immediately took to the air and lifted Shute off the crane, taking him to the Zakorello Gate for safety. Captain and Baku landed on the deck in front of the trio, weapons bared and ready to fight.

 

“Zapper, Destroyer cover me!” Grappler ordered as he began to step backwards with Chaos still in custody.

 

Zapper and Destroyer shakily stepped forward. The only weapon that they had was Zapper's machine gun; Destroyer had put his weapons away when they got back from the mission earlier on. There was no chance of defeating the gundams.

 

Baku unsheathed his swords, “Captain, you go get Chaos,” he prepared to lung at his opponents, “I'll take care of these two.”

 

“Affirmative.” Captain replied as he blew past Zapper and Destroyer, unnoticed.

 

Baku tightened his grip on his swords, “So who wants to be first?”

 

“If you mean to die, then after you!” Zapper cackled as he pointed his machine gun at Bakunetsumaru.

 

Baku bent his knees as he waited for his opponents to make their move. Zapper looked a little nervous; he didn't have his other machine gun or his gatling gun, he didn't even have one soldier to protect him. Destroyer his behind Zapper (due to the fact that he didn't have any weapons or explosives) and cowered. Baku `grinned' behind his mouth piece knowing that this was going to be the easiest battle of his life.

Grappler and Chaos got closer and closer to the door every second, but Grappler had to drag her so movement was slow. Grappler was becoming frustrated with her struggling and whining. The last thing that he wanted was resistance. `We would've been inside the ship already if she would just cooperate,' he thought angrily as he tried to keep his arms tight around her. Chaos was becoming frustrated as well; no matter how hard she tired she couldn't break free from Grappler's grip.

 

She had enough, she kicked backwards in an attempt to hit Grappler's shin, “Let go of me Grappler or I swear I'll-.”

 

“You'll what kick me in the shin?! Oh I'm so scared!” >:D He laughed evilly, taunting her.

 

Even though she was being a pain, Grappler was fairly amused. `At least she has some fight in her,' his mind giggled. But now they were dangerously close to the door and Chaos began to panic. Tears welled up in her eyes, her suffering to stay hidden has gone in vain, and now there was no way out.

 

Just when it seemed that her fate has been sealed a familiar voice make Grappler stop dead in his tracks.

 

“Chaos duck!”

 

Chaos didn't know who it was at first, but she obeyed. She quickly ducked her head and Grappler swung around in surprise. He was met with a punch in the face. It was Captain. Captain's fist came in contact with the right side of the blue lord's face, making him release Chaos. Grappler fell backwards and landed on his back with a thud. Grappler didn't even twitch; he had gone unconscious.

 

Chaos stood up straight, relieved to be out of her insane creators clutches.

 

Captain looked at her with great concern, “Chaos are you alright?”

 

“Yeah, I'm fine…” she shakily answered.

 

Captain began to run towards the Zakorello Gate with Chaos following close behind, “Shute and Zero are waiting for us at the gate.”

 

“But Captain how are we going to open the gate?” Chaos huffed, exhausted from her struggle with Grappler.

Captain seemed to smirk behind his mouth piece, “Don't worry, Bakunetsumaru is taking care of that.”

 

* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~

 

“Hold still you little pest!”

 

Zapper had been trying to shoot Baku for the past couple minutes. Baku easily defeated Destroyer (Dom was now knocked-out) and was just about to finish off Zapper. The samurai kept dashing around the deck, making a hard target for Zaku to hit.

 

Baku was easily dodging the shower of bullets, “Is this the best you can do villain?!”

 

“Oh shut up you pathetic excuse for a musha-.” The sound of foot steps interrupted Zapper.

 

He stopped shooting his gun and jerked his head to the side to find the source of the scrambling. He saw Captain and Chaos running madly past him and towards the gate.

 

“You two stop right there!” He barked, taking his attention off of Baku.

 

Before Zapper could take off after the two escapees he was shoved to the ground, landing on his back. His machine gun skidded out of his grasp, rendering the lord helpless. Zaku attempted to sit up, but couldn't. He lifted his head and saw Baku standing on his stomach with one foot. A katana was abruptly shoved in his face.

 

“Open the gate you coward.” Baku growled while looking down to the red lord.

 

“O.k., o.k.! Just point that thing somewhere else!” Zapper spat in an irritated tone.

 

“Open Zakorello Gate!” Zaku ordered the frightening looking portal.

 

The gate began to glow, “Opening Lord Zapper Zaku.”

 

Its mouth opened, freedom was finally within reach.

 

Baku removed his sword from Zapper's head and spun around, making a mad dash for the gate. Zapper quickly got up and grabbed his gun, determined to finish off his opponent. He aimed for Baku, but the samurai ran hard making move around to get a decent shot.

 

Baku jumped off the bow of the ship and landed on a piece of land mass. `Ha! Almost there!' his thoughts rang out in glee. But his gun soul nearly leapt out of his chest when he felt bullets graze against his ankles. He saw the others standing there waiting for him, determined to make sure that Baku wouldn't be left behind.

 

Baku felt touched but reality slapped him hard, they had to leave now!

 

“Go!” the musha gundam barked as he prepared to jump through the gate.

 

They all closed their eyes as they jumped through together. The world seemed as if it was being ripped apart. But in the blink of an eye they came through the other side, greeted by a beautiful blue sky full of fluffy clouds.

 

Chaos threw her arms in the air, unaware of how high up they were, “Yay! We're alive and-.” She looked down and her pupils shrunk. They were higher up then the Neotopia tower.

 

As they all began to fall, Chaos began to flap her arms (a last desperate attempt to sprout wings to save her hide). She screamed extremely loud, making Shute shutter a little. But everyone remained inhumanly calm.

 

Chaos looked to them and felt appalled, “What is wrong with all of you?! Don't you realize that when we hit the ground we will all be turned into pancakes?!”

 

“Yes,” Captain replied as he reached for Shute, cradling the boy in his arms, “But do you see that cloud?”

 

Chaos followed his gaze and saw a hand-shaped cloud directly below them.

 

She shook her head violently, “Yeah, but that's just water vapor; we'll fall right through it!”

 

Every milli-second they neared the cloud making the dark mecha become more nervous.

 

Zero shook his head, “Milady, how much are you willing to wager that this cloud will save our lives?”

 

Now they were just about to `fall through' the cloud.

 

“IT'S JUST A-.”

 

THUD

 

Chaos's eyes got as big as dinner plates. She had landed on her butt and pain surged trough her spine. She looked to the others; they were all standing up except for Shute. He was in Captain's arms. Chaos slowly got up and saw the cloud part, revealing the gundanium plated S.D.G Base.

 

Captain looked to Chaos as he put Shute down, “The base looks different with the cloud cover.” He explained, understanding Chaos's confusion.

Chaos tilted her head, “Well, I never got to see the outside of the base. I was unconscious when you first brought me here.”

 

There was a long pause as every one looked to the sun as it began to set across the sea. They took it in and appreciated the view; they were so close to never seeing it again.

 

Baku finally snapped out of his trance and broke the silence, “We should probably report this to Chief Haro.”

 

“Affrimative.” Captain replied as he began to walk towards the entrance of the base.

 

Tired and beat down, everyone followed Captain through the entrance except Chaos. She limped in. A cloud of relief hung over the gundams and Shute, relieved that this heck of a night mare was over…for now.

Finally, all done! It took me forever to type up this fic, but other wise I'm pretty proud of this chapter. I have a quick question, should Chaos have a crush? Personally, if I do have a crush for Chaos it would be GunEagle. But I'm not really sure yet. I mean, will it ruin the whole story line if she has a lover, do you have any suggestions on who should be her crush? Please leave reviews…please. But try not to be too harsh and if you have any suggestions for the story line or characters please leave them! ^_^
